Having discovered Joey's terrific DIY video for replacing an ignition on a 1989 Chevy S10, I contacted him by phone when I had an issue using an H-bar steering wheel puller tool, for the first time. As busy as he was, he willingly stepped me through the process (ends up I was sold a damaged puller elsewhere), and I was able to continue thanks to his guidance. I will definitely be hiring him when I get my door lock replaced, as thieves tried to steal my truck and drove out the original door lock, and ruined my ignition. I contacted Joey about three weeks ago. I asked for a quote to make a Key for my VW Gti he said he could do it for 350 and it would be half upfront. So I paid the 175. He came to my house to do the key worked o. it for about 20min before he said he needed another coder for the key. This the excuse for the last three weeks, I asked for a key just to turn the lock so I could move the car into the driveway. He said it would be a additional 50, paid the 50 and he left a key. So when I asked about my programed key he said he could no program and that the key he left should be able to be programed by someone else. So I paid 225 for a key that doesn't start my car. This gys is a scamer and should not be trusted. I have all the text messages to show he isn't nothing but a bad business man. Be careful when dealing with Joe. read more

I locked myself out of my new house and didn't realize it until I got home from a Red Rocks concert, so about midnight . I have a dog (and no dog door) so sleeping elsewhere and waiting until morning was out of the question. I looked on Yelp for 24/7 locksmith services that were within 5 miles, hoping to find someone with good reviews that was available. And, let's be honest, someone who wouldn't horribly overcharge me because it was after midnight. I found RML, they had good reviews, we're not too far away and so I called. Joey answered and said he could be there in 15 minutes (he was wrapping up a job downtown). He arrived when he said he would and was able to get the deadbolt in the garage open. I have also been wanting to change the locks (being a new home) and Joey came by the next day and got me take care of. Joey was very professional and I felt his costs were extremely reasonable. He was also very easy to communicate with. I hope to never lock myself out again, but if I do, or need locks replaced, RML is where I'll take my business! read more

We recently got locked out of our house. I called them for their help. Tom came out and went straight to work. After an hour and 20 minutes of trying we were able to get into my house from our own efforts. He was still at the front door scratching up the frame when my cousin opened the door. I was really upset at the fact that I still had to pay him the $125.00 charge and I'm still waiting for the promised receipt. I will not be calling them for help every again and will not recommend them to anyone. I think it'd be fair if I could get some sort of refund, even a partial one because he did come out,but full charge for a job not done is unrealistic. Maybe I should become a locksmith, looks like easy money for not doing the job. And of course now they don't answer the phone, bad business practices..Don't use these guys! read more

Joey came over twice to install then fix a lock on an old home. He claimed to know how to work with locks in older homes. He clearly does not. The lock has never worked properly and now all the screws are loose. He should stick to simply making keys. read more

I had a problem with my vintage car ignition lock cylinder. I could drive the car but could not lock it. I arranged to meet Shalom and brought the car to where he was. He very quickly and professionally solved my problem. He first explained how the lock worked, deftly picked the lock and inserted my key blank and removed the cylinder. The new cylinder could then be inserted and I was all set. His efforts saved me hundreds of dollars. All previous recommendations were to drill out the cylinder from the ignition switch and put in a new switch ($600-yikes). I would highly recommend RML to anyone needing a locksmith in the Denver Metro Area, and especially commend Shalom for his professionalism and technical abilities. read more
