I just bought a house and the previous owners had 5 different keys for various external doors. Called Metrolocks and Amir was great on the phone, they came out the next day and re-keyed all the locks down to 2 keys total, including a storm door and sliding glass door with lock. John just left after replacing my locks for my front and garage door. My front door knob was frozen and my garage door had wear and tear from my dog biting on it. He made sure that all were opened by one key and also showed me how to change the key, if necessary. The price was mentioned up front when I originally called and he was out here and the work completed in less than two hours after the initial call. John also gave me his card saying he certified all of his work and if anything happened to the locks just give him a call. Amir and John were great to work with. I had a not-so great experience with a previous locksmith who drilled out the door handle and key to my apartment. The handle had a unique finish, and Amir worked with me to find a match. Other units in my building have been charged over $200 for a new lock, and Metrolocks only charged me $84, and he made me some extra keys onsite. Amir was so helpful! SO NICE! He popped my trunk and door first to see if the keys were in my vehicle because that was way cheaper than making a new key. Of course they weren't. I already knew they weren't, but he insisted; he is just so ethical, and this is an unethical industry. He also insisted in making sure I knew how much this was going to cost before even coming out, even though I was SO frustrated and didn't care about money, but he wanted to calm me down on the phone, and make sure I knew it was not going to be cheap and wasn't rushing into making a rash decision; he could tell I was upset at myself and angry. My stupid car was one of those where the alarm goes off when you break into it and the alarm disables you from turning the engine on with the new key. Amir was patient and made several calls and went online to figure this out. He quickly figured the problem out when other locksmiths wouldn't bother. He finally broke down and called the dealers and got them to tell him how to override it. The end result was me having a brand new key and no annoying alarm anymore. I loved my experience and will call him again in a bind. He responded ultra fast too for me being in CAP hill and him being in south Denver. For what I got, I don't think the price was that bad at all, plus, if you go on their website, the prices are listed, and I was charged exactly as listed, and exactly what was quoted over the phone. When I called the first locksmith (denvermetrolocksmith) I got a rude young lady who refused to answer my simple question whether they had a flat fee for opening locked cars! John Dobereiner could not have been better. He came out to fix a very old lock on a very old garage. The lock could not be fixed and he did not have any locks that would work. I told him I would try to find one on the internet and then give him a call. He was fine with this and there was no charge for the visit. The following week, after I had found a lock, he came back and installed it. During the installation he needed to grind down a piece to make it all fit. But instead of saying it doesn't fit--he ran to Ace Hardware and bought a grinder. When it was all done the lock worked perfectly, the garage door was better and it all came with a very fair price. I own 4 rental houses and will not use anyone other than Metrolocks. Their prices are fair, you can make an appointment for a time frame convienent for you, they show up on time and could not have been more friendly or helpful. I have never posted a single review but thought their service was so good it was time to do so. read more
