The huevos rancheros were the best I have had! The avocado toast was delicious and creamy and superbly fresh! We had One of the Metro Specials which was New York strip country fried steak over red mash and topped with sausage gravy! I will have to work out for 3 hours afterwards but completely worth every single bite! Will definitely suggest this place to others, I hope Cameron waits my table again! I first visited this place 2 months ago and got the fried chicken and waffles to go I live about 5-7 minutes from it's location. When I got home the chicken and waffles were still hot and the chicken juicy. I decided to go tonight and get the same thing but this time when I got home I open my take out to very cold old waffles and cold dry greasy chicken. What a disappointment. I don't know if was because I went there at 7:30 or they lowered their standards. There were still a good amount of people still dunning in so it couldn't be that the kitchen was shut down. I don't think I will try again. It seems most chain restaurants don't do well in Columbus after a few months or years here and sad to say Metro Dinner has fallen into this category. A friend and I stopped by here for breakfast on a Friday morning. We were seated immediately, unfortunately in a much colder part of the restaurant. I ordered the avocado toast and she ordered the croissant french toast. She really liked her dish and I just sort of liked mine. I was pleasantly surprised that they had dishes on the lighter side and I really do love avocado toast so I shouldn't complain too much. The portions were pretty big but they just didn't seem like they put any care in preparing it. It was just okay. The biggest reason why I'm recommending three stars is because I thought the hostess was really rude. She was sort of unpleasant to be around and looked like she had practice in rolling her eyes. This place has so much potential but kind fell short. We ordered several plates which included the chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the waffles were light but the was very little flavor. We also shared a plate of the Crab cakes eggs Benedict and side of hash browns. The crab cakes was great but then the English muffin wasn't toasted and the egg was over cooked. The mimosas are great! The grits were very good. The avocado toast was okay if you like flavorless avocado toast. Could use some flavored oils. Eggs ordered over medium were runny and whites not close to done and even after sending back for over medium the second time was no better. Note to cooks over medium is no runny whites not burnt edges. The bacon tasted like microwave and the pancakes were tasteless below average. Which is sad because how do you mess up pancakes. Service was okay. Not great but not awful. The manager is the one who took my eggs back. Typically service trickles down from the top and since he knew the eggs were wrong and made no concessions shows the level of character in management. So overall not the worst but definitely not the best as so many reviews state which made me pick this place read more

Just went here on a Saturday; place was packed. They were very realistic in the wait time they gave me and my girlfriend (25-30 Minutes). We decided we could wait, what a great decision. Took about 15 minutes only and we were seated and ordering. No bull, the food came out just shy of 10 minutes (if that). Everything was great but the REAL reason for my 5 star review was the magnificence of the Chimken and Waffies. Waffie was weal big. Muy yummy. Also, much Chimpken. I think the best part is the staff at all of theses Metros, great attitudes, smiling and they are constantly moving and double checking. The worst avocado toast I've ever had, it was tasteless and not green (fresh) but browish green when it hit the table and it was disgusting.
