After a check engine light and a thermostat replacement I was told by another dealership that I needed a head gasket replacement... took my jeep back and gave Michael the run down of events and that I think I have a bad head gasket .. he took my truck and after about a week or two of troubleshooting he was able to figure it out with the mechanic that my aftermarket thermostat replacement wasn't responding well and that's all that's needed, no gasket - saving me a few thousand. My elderly mother went here for an oil change. The service department told her that she need new window wipers, air filter and in cabin filter. She knew it had to be a mistake because they were changed the day before from my husband. They went on to go say that they changed them already and she was going to be paying for it. When she insisted that was not going to be the case they were just changed the day before, he went on to go say that she needed new tires, which she knew that she had just had new tires put on a year ago. When that tactic didn't work, he told her that her lug nuts were swollen, and that it was very urgent that she got them fixed immediately for her safety and the quote was over $900. My mother felt that since she was elderly, they were trying to take advantage of her. She will never go there again. Overall, she went for an oil change and tire rotation and ended up with a $400 bill for some special oiling that was needed. Please beware! read more

I had a recent experience with METRO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM in Chicopee that left me frustrated and untrusting of auto dealerships in general. The salesman was pushy, rude, insensitive and dishonest! -He ignored my husband and when I pointed out that he should also speak to my husband, he stated that "I was the one making the deal". -He tried to low ball me on my trade in offering $20K when my car was actually worth $23. (the other dealership that I went to offered me $23 up front); after HOURS of "speaking to the manager" he finally gave me the $23K that my trade in was worth! -He was pushy and made me feel as if I had to haggle and fight for everything from the price I would get for my trade, my interest rate (even though i have excellent credit) and even the car that I was going to buy! I feel like he was trying to sell the vehicle that was featured on the website and didn't care that I really didn't like it. -He made statements like "what do I have to do to get you to agree to buy this car today?" -He had us waiting in the piping HOT waiting area for HOURS as he went back and forth "speaking to the manager" supposedly trying to get us a better deal. -He was dishonest! He said that the car had no recalls. When I looked at the CarFax, I noticed that the vehicle was supposedly inspected by METRO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM in Chicopee BUT even though there was a recall on it, it was never completed. He later said that he would make sure it was completed for me in the next few days. He would have sold it to me like that if I didn't notice! The recall was for a part on the control arm, without replacement, the wheel could come off with no provocation! -The vehicle also had some other type of issue as upon inspection, the dealership had to charge the battery. This was a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L... a newer car like this should not need to have a battery charged. My 2012 Jeep turns right on and it has the original battery! I asked him to change the battery and he said that there was nothing wrong with it. -I had given a $5,000 down payment and since he was so inconsiderate of my safety as to allow me to try and drive off with an unsafe vehicle, I asked for a refund. THANK GOD that he refused to replace that battery or I may have went through with the purchase and GOD only knows what would have happened! It was mixed, but overall, glad to be done with this place and will avoid ever going back to them. Sales women, Brittany was great. Honest and kind. We are still friends. Will, her boss was a snake and yelled at me on our first phone call when I wouldn't agree to all the high prices and fake deals he was offering. Mark in finance has very clean energy and was very straight forward and honest. A good guy. Service, tried to help, but I ended up with a $4k service bill and a $1500 trade in. When I returned their loner car that they were kind enough to lend me for free during the new purchase time, I arrived on time but forgot to fill the tank. When I arrived and explained, one of the service customer service guys called out $10/gallon. I laughed and said "I'm not surprised." He said, "it's not them, it the company." I think the owner is a crook and he puts pressure on his staff to cheat people. Go anywhere but here. It was one of the most stressful weeks of my life trying to protect myself from being swindled. I bought a truck back in December, and told them it needed tires, as they assured me, because I was in the tires for life program, it wouldn't be an issue when the time comes. I still have the texts that showed me explaining I needed tires before the sale was final. They sent me a service invoice telling me that I needed tires, and it was going to cost $1700. I also was told I needed a battery which they wanted $505 to put it in. I have not driven 7,000 miles yet, and they also wanted to do my front brakes. I have nothing bad to say about my salesman, or the service people, who ate just doing what they're told, but as far as service is concerned, they have to be the worst dealership I have ever been to! read more

I've purchased 2 cars from here and it's been one of my biggest regrets. The first year of service was great but as soon as i bought my 2nd and they realized they wouldnt make anymore money off my family the service spiraled downward immediately. This dealership consistently preys on woman and banking that they don't know anything about cars. They will consistently tell you things need replacing and that it "looks like there has to be a repair" but when you check and you've already paid for a repair prior they they said hasn't been done or had it done elsewhere. This dealership cares nothing about you or your vehicle. They're simply looking to make as much money off you as possible and will lie time after time in the process to scare you into making unnecessary fixes to your vehicle. I've even gone to other dealerships to verify and they've confirmed my fears of shotty service and manipulation that happens at this Chicopee location. Mike in service is the worst - don't believe a word that he says - he tries to add credibility by saying "I've been here 4 years" or "I understand I have 4 kids" - what does the fact that you have 4 children have to do with the fact that you've lied time after time to my face and on the phone about what should happen with my car. Why do I keep going back? Because my warranty is bound to this dealership bc I live within a 50 mile radius - on my most recent visit Mike had told me I could apply my final oil change on my account to either car and that he would lift this 50 mile constraint because of the lack of satisfaction I've had with this dealership. Push comes to shove and I drive 45 minutes for our final oil change at this location pick up my husband and I get a call from Orlando tell me that they won't apply an oil change from one car to another even though Mike had told me otherwise. Mike is on vacation for a week and won't be able to do anything to verify that he said this. Shocker. My "only option" is to pay for an Oil change on this vehicle even though I still have one tagged to my account. I drove 45 minutes to meet my husband so that he could drop his car and drove halfway home for them to call and tell me this. Oh also I'm 38 weeks pregnant. Do you think they cared? No. So because mike said that this could be done I have no doubts that it could be b(and I know it can because they've taken oil changes off our account and applied them back and forth between the two vehicles we've purchased from them before) Orlando wouldn't authorize it even just to help me and my family out. When I asked who else to talk to about this because I was so upset Orlando was the only one and they wouldn't be able to do anything till Mike came back a week later. When I asked if this 50 mile limitation was notated on my account so I could just go to another dealership Orlando "couldn't look it up" meaning he couldn't be bothered to look into it for me because he doesn't care about the service I'm getting and his time is more valuable than mine. I doubt that it's been done because everything Mike has told me in the past has never come to fruition and looking back I should have got everything in writing because they will lie to get you out the door here. I will gladly update or change my review if the General Manager calls me to discuss this issue and makes things right. That being said in the years that I've had horrible service and multiple issues I have not once been contacted by the GM so I doubt that it will happen now. When we'd come in for our "appointments" it was apparent they had no clue, but would have us take a seat and WAIT over 30 minutes for said appointment. They said they did a smoke test and charged $600 for a filter and a gas cap. 2 days later when the issue came back they then told me that they this time performed the smoke test and it's going to be $2k for the gas tank. They came to a deal and then he asked for a 500$ for deposit to book the car a night before (tbh, no dealer do this in Boston) but my bf said he will come down straight to this place at Chicopee, and made appointment at 10.30am. This Austin guy texted my bf at 10.25am asking where are you, and he said we're here, then this Austin guy said someone else bought the car already right this morning. (Really? Had a pretty decent experience here. My sales person steve gets a 5 he was awesome, stayed late to help me get a deal done and showed up first thing in the morning on his day off to help me get the deal done. If you go here go see steve hes excellent. A little disappointed in the negotiations, truck had these red stripes on it and the manager wasnt willing to eat 100 bucks and take off the stripes but whatever no big deal. They don't shop for the best rates, i was quotes out at a 4.6 somewhere else and was given 5.15. Everyone that i met in the showroom was very friendly and not just a car salesmen which was nice. Only other complaints i had was gas tank wasnt filled full when i left with my new vehicle and they added an extra 107 to my registration fee on the day of pick up. I think a 4/5 is a great review but finance was not the easiest to deal with. Terrible service dept on First Time Going! Ordered extra key and a fab on Tues. Fab would be in on Wed, scheduled appt to be programmed on Thur for 2pm. Was advised would take 1/2hr. Waited in waiting room for 1hr and 10min (now 3:10pm), I went to service to check on what was going on and only 1 person was there. I finally stopped someone and asked about my Jeep. He asked what was going on and then I had to explain about key and he walked away into shop and came back with Tech. The Tech told me that the key they made was defective and had to make another one. The service person that I stopped walked away and went on to something else instead of following through. Myself and Tech were left hanging. Also, it would have been nice if the service rep would have come out to waiting room and advise me. So, another key had to be made. The tech went back into shop and then came back and told Orlando that he would send the Line (?) to him so he can get key from parts and then program it. Orlando told tech to send it to him. Come to find out, Orlando has to okay it for him to finish working on Jeep. So bizarre and no time management in service dept. Then Orlando walked away from desk which held up Tech from doing his job. Then Manager Mike had to go and do it on computer. Waited again. Come to find out the person I had stopped to help me was actually the Manager which I had no idea as he had no name tag with title. His attitude was very short and did not really want to help. Waited again as was told about 25 min to program another key. It is now 3:30 and I heard the manager (Mike) just chit chatting with 2 other people in a small room that connects with service room, so I peeked in (door was open) and excused myself and asked what was the update. He then stood up aggressively in front of me and said, "is the key done". I then told him I don't know and to go find out from the Tech. He rudely walked into shop and mumbled words as he walked out very pissed off. I then spoke out loud and said "wow he is a manager" and that I would never come here again. He then stormed back in from shop and "Pointed a Pen" at my Face and aggressively told me, "I want to talk to you Now!" and had me follow him into a room and closed the door behind him like I was a bad child or one of his employees. He was Furious and asked why I berated him in front of his employees and said that he was a "manager". First off, I told him that I do not like being treated this way and being brought into a room!! I was speaking very loud (as him) as I was upset by Manager (Mike's) aggressiveness to me (being a New Customer too). I asked him what time the Jeep was brought in and he could not tell me. I told him that their service dept should have time in on a vehicle and how many hours a tech works on a vehicle like Most Standard dealerships. Their paperwork does not show that. He also told that he was new to his position and he apologized. I told him that in his position he should of asked what he could help me with and respond back, I will check on that for you right now and let you know. That is good Customer Service I told him as I have over 30 years experience in Customer Service. The service dept needs dire direction on time management and customer service skills. They also need to revamp procedures which holds up a lot of time between Techs and Service Reps as I noticed the Service Reps just leave their desk a lot and don't even say anything to their coworkers such as, I will be back in minute as I have go let a person know about their vehicle. While waiting I did observe that the Service Reps leave their desks for quite long periods and then they have to be paged to find out where they are as customers are standing there needing them. Nobody knows what the left and right hand are doing. Also, there is no follow through. I will never go back especially since a Mike Pointed a Pen at me and aggressively pulled me into a room like a child or one of his employees. Never in my life have I been treated so bad. I am beyond disappointed after attempting to work with Metro. I had found a Sprinter van on their site before photos had even been posted and reached out to verify it was available. It was verified the van was available and had just arrived to the dealership; photos weren't online yet as the van needed to go through detailing. I requested some quick cellphone shots of the van, to decide whether to pursue the purchase or not. I was rather please to receive the photos in a timely manner, but unfortunately service went downhill from there. I am in Oregon so I wanted information on the van before making the flight out to purchase it. The photos were the first step (awesome and happy about those), but the next thing I wanted was the report from the Service Department as my contact, Aaron Arthurs, claimed they did a 'saftey inspect it as well as do a full tune-up' on the van. When I pressed further about getting the report, the van actually hadn't been gone over, as it was 'so new we havent had a chance to get it in', which is totally fair. A few days later, I asked again about the service and found out they didn't have a lift large enough for the van, but they just got one installed and would be getting it in for the inspection. A week went by and I asked again about the van, to no response, so I gave a call. Aaron was out to lunch, so I had a message left for him to contact me with some updates/info. No response that day, it was a Friday, so I gave benefit of the doubt over the weekend, but come Monday, no response. Then I get a call from a sales rep, Johnny, who seemed to be very helpful and eager to get the service information for me so we can move forward with the purchase. He said he would email me (per my request) with what he found out. He was true to his word with sending an email, but it was only to inform me that the van had been purchased this morning by someone else. They will make it seem like you're catching a great deal and then as soon as you sign the paperwork, everything starts to go wrong! They sold me a lemon in December and wouldn't fix the issue, they let it sit in their service department for 25 days, and balanced the tires a handful of times, until they agreed to buy it back. I have a voicemail from them saying they will give me back EVERYTHING for the car, but let me tell you that was a bullshit lie. They owe me $7,089, and they refuse to give it to me because they know without it I cannot afford to buy another car to replace the one I DON'T HAVE ANYMORE. The paint is bubbling on the front lip and underside of the hood on my 2011 Dodge Avenger (Heat Edition). Metro/Bertera Auto Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles are both aware of the issue. The corrosion is a FACTORY DEFECT and has been confirmed by the Bertera Auto Body Manager. The regional manager has refused to honor the repair. This is a known issue with Chrysler/Jeep aluminum hoods. In particular, my vehicle color (Mango Tango). My vehicle has 17,000 ORIGINAL miles. I am the original owner. The hood has never been damaged from an accident or environmental elements. FCA needs to take responsibility for this issue. It is a FACTORY DEFECT. The aluminum is rusting from the inside out. I had no issues with buying my Jeep here, the sales team was great, service on the other hand is terrible. I've had to deal with them a few times and every single time there is an issue. They will try to sell you things you don't need, and if you're a female they're pushing a lot harder. The final straw was when I had an appointment to have a headlight replaced, I had the light already and they told me it would be about 20-30 minutes. Three hours later I drove out of there swearing never again. The first time I checked to see how much longer I was basically told that they forgot about it, THEN they started working on it. I was there for 9am and out at noon. The service staff can be rude and condescending too, I wasn't even close to the only one pissed in the waiting room. Im writing this review to warn people to stay away from this dealership!! I purchased a vehicle from them on 1/1/2020. The only good service I had was from the salesman which is unfortunately not there any longer. I picked up my vehicle that night and got into the car started it and the check engine light was on! Unacceptable for a car that you just purchased! There was also a loud noise coming from underneath which I was told was coming from the tires. I brought my car into the shop on 1/8/2020, they had my vehicle for a week, I was told I needed to purchase new tires on my own because the thread was still okay and it passed inspection! This is totally unacceptable!!! I could understand that if it wasn't affecting the way the car was driving and sound it was making! The manager was beyond rude to me and my fiance and refused to do anything about the tires. They gave me a loaner vehicle that sat in our driveway due to the fact it was a big pick up truck and I'm a girl whose 5'3 and barely could reach the pedals. It was the best they could do I was told. After a week of my car being there I picked it up started the vehicle and the check engine light was still on!!! I went back in and was told my vehicle had to go back into the shop. This time I had to wait 10 days for the part it needed because it wasn't fixed correctly the first time! Needless to say I purchased the car 1/2 and only got it back fixed correctly around 1/30/2020. I paid a car payment and insurance on a car I wasn't even driving, a car that shouldn't have been cleared to sell on their lot with the issues. After much back and forth with another manager regarding the tires they agreed to put new tires on my car. It was the sloppiest job I have ever seen. They didn't bother cleaning the tires, there was white junk all over them still. Now the finance person I worked with screwed my loan up royally, I have had money taken out of my accounts and the bank has yet to see it. I have late fees accumulating. I received notification today that the place taking my money out of my account doesn't even have my acct number to the bank it's suppose to be going to. No one at this dealership is professional! I have three other people who I found out bought vehicles from there and had issues just as bad as mine!! I will never do business with them ever again! Get your Service Elsewhere. Had a rather pleasant buying experience here, they seem a little more honorable than most other dealerships in the Bertera chain. However their service department is useless. Nice. But useless. Brand new vehicle. Had to schedule 2 appointments to get a windshield wiper replaced. Nothing like "wow this is a safety hazard, lets get something on there so you can at least see". Nope. Pretty much got the "so long as you don't get killed by not being able to see by then, we'll have the part in 2 days". Then they put it on and forgot to take the plastic cover off it. Scary when a "tech" can't even change a wiper. Then I've got a faulty door switch. Got a call saying the part came in and scheduled an appointment a week out. Took a day off from work because of it and I get a call late in the afternoon the day before the appointment letting me the know that the part they told me was in really wasn't in and it would be another week. Wasting a day off because of this crap. These guys are worse than the cable company. JDPower just rated Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, Jeep and Ram dealers at the bottom of their list for service. Metro just confirmed the findings of that survey were dead on. Taking my business elsewhere and I recommend that you do too. read more

My family and I went to Metro on Saturday afternoon, an hour from closing, to look at the Dodge Avengers. I was promptly greeted by Donovan who spent the time with me from start to finish. Even though he was new to the company, he was very enthusiastic and helpful. We were able to get everything we were looking for and not settle for something out of our sights. We were very upside down from a previous purchase as well as not having the best credit working against us. We left on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to hear early on Monday that we had been approved. We went in Tuesday and drove away in our new car about an hour later! Be careful if you are buying online. I recently purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from Metro Jeep from a AutoTrader listing. Because I am in CA and was shipping the car I asked very specifically about the condition of the vehicle. The salesmen, Greg, said it was showroom condition and was infact in the sales showroom although it had 5k miles. When the car arrived in CA it was not as described. The lever used to lower the back seat was broken and stuffed into the back pocket of the drivers seat. There was significant wear on the passengers seat as well as a three rock divit cracks in the windshield and loads of visible wear in the back from loading and unloading cargo. All of which should have been disclosed.. Once I had made payment it was impossible to get a phone call or email returned from the salesmen, Greg. If you're buying I car from this place, I recommend that you do it onsight and not from the word of the sales guys. read more

Do not buy from them. They dont stand by there customers at all. A family friend who are elderly people bought a 2009 jeep liberty in 2009. In 2017 they water pump went and the elderly lady asked them to do the warranty check up as well. They fixed the water pump and told her she was good for another 5 years. They never told her it was to soon to do it. So here we are in 2021 the vehicle has 58,000 miles lightly driven and she having issues with the transmission. She goes to bring it in and they tell her she has no warranty that it was suppose to be done in 2019 not 2017. Instead of them telling the warranty companny that they screwed up they leave it on the customer and say oh well, Do Not buy anything from this companny go somewhere else. They do not back the customers. Once you leave they you are nothing to them. read more
