I bought my 2022 Ford Bronco elsewhere. This review is for their service dept. I live in the area. In October 2022, brought my truck to their service dept as my car's convertible top was falling apart, despite not even being a year old. I was told I would be able to get it replaced under warranty. However, I was never contacted for the repair. The gentleman who was assisting me, left their dealership and I fell through the cracks. Eventually, my mother called them to see what the heck was going on??? And they scheduled a date 5 months out for me to bring my truck in. They refused to even quote me a repair time as "they'd never replaced a bronco's softtop". (Fwiw, I checked on how long the repair should take via various Ford Bronco forums, and was informed it should only take a day at most. That it's a big job, not a fun job and that's likely why they pushed out my repair- that they really didn't want to do the job). So I dropped my truck off on 2/13/23. A week later, I came back to see what progress had been made and my car was sitting on their lot untouched :( They not only scheduled me 5 months out from when I originally brought the truck in, but in the week they had it, they didn't bother repairing it. They said that "this week they would look into it". So Why did I have to bring it in a week early??? It makes zero sense to me. I asked for my Bronco back. I'll get the work done somewhere else where I and my time are valued more. Fwiw, I drove my car cross-country over the summer and 2 weeks into owning it, the AC broke in 112 degree heat. When I got to a big enough city (Denver) my car was repaired on the spot. The Ford dealer accommodated me extremely well. I wasn't happy my new Bronco broke 2 weeks into my ownership, but the dealership was more than accommodating. Mitchel Ford wasted my time. I had an appt and even though they had my truck for over a week, they did nothing. I'm not pleased with them. 1.5 stars. They did give me a loaner vehicle. I guess that helps, but at the end of the day, my truck still needs a new roof. It should have been repaired in October 2022 when I brought it in. It should have been replaced on my 2/13/23 appointment. They had the car for over a week during this period and did NOTHING. WTF. read more

Terrible sales tactics, will low ball your trade-in below KBB especially if you tell them how much you owed on it. They held my keys from me on the other side of the dealership. Sales members had no personality, awkward silence the entire test ride. The car I went to look at looked nothing like the photos portrayed-- in person I discovered that the car had water damage, in the headlights, the exterior, and rust/rot on the engine components. Sales member asked me if I needed my husband's permission to buy a car. LOL. Just trash. Would not recommend and will not be going back. read more

My wife wanted to replace her aging CR-V and we decided to look at the Ford Edge having known other people who have them. I have used them for service on my F150 and to purchase the truck after my lease was up. I've been happy with them in the past so it was a no-brainer to try them again. Nick was very knowledgeable and friendly. We tried a couple of cars and decided on a certified pre-owned 2017 Edge. We got a good deal and most importantly the wife is happy. Had my car brought to this shop by a Mechanic who works there. He diagnosed my Exhaust leak (noise) as a bad Manifold Gasket and Suggested changing both out along with both manifolds. The Work took over a week to complete and I was Charged $1051 and the car came back just as loud as it went in. I brought it to a local Muffler Shop the next couple days later. He put it up on the lift while the engine was running and showed me 2 obvious exhaust leaks, a rotted front Muffler and a rotted exhaust pipe in front of that Muffler. I had to Pay an additional $300 to have it fixed. The problem was never diagnosed properly at MITCHELL SELIG FORD or even inspected to see if the exhaust Manifolds and gaskets were indeed leaking. In my opinion this is Parts changing and not Professional at all. Buyer Beware, they don't inspect what they fix before or after. read more

Purchased a vehicle early summer of 2017. Typing this review early Jan 2018. As of today, there are still unresolved issues. Sales manager Anthony Andeen personally assured me he would help to resolve. Unfortunately, he has not lived up to his word and has been unresponsive to 4 attempts to reach out to him. At this point, I still do not have answers. Classic example of great service up to the purchase of the vehicle, which subsequently fell off a cliff after the vehicle was purchased. This is a review of the service department for my Ford Mustang. I brought my car in for Service and very unsatisfied with the experience. After I called to make an appointment, I showed up a week later with my car on the day confirmed and I was not on the schedule. They took my car but show no desire to help in a timely manner. They kept my car for 11 days because it was a "big job". They kept delaying when I could pick it up. Meanwhile I am renting a rental car so it is costing me money. I had to call every few days to get any update and they did not seem to care at all about giving me an update on what work they were doing, timing or price. I seemed to be an inconvenience to them and they did not care about the time it took them. They are a true example of awful customer service. Do not go here. read more

I was having issues with my car battery. As a homecare nurse, my car is my livlihood. I can't go visit patients if I don't have a car. I knew that it would be soon time to change it...but I was procrastinating it. And today it took me a long time to start up my 2006 Focus, it kept catching and then not quite turning the engine over. I didn't buy my car here...in fact, I just moved to the area. But i saw the word 'Ford' and i knew my car was that brand...so I prayed. I only had a limited amount of time and it was 12:30pm. I took a wild shot in the dark that they could help me. To my pleasant suprise, they took my car RIGHT away, it took about 25 minutes to change the battery...there was hot coffee and some magazines to read. And I was out in time to stop home for lunch before my next visit. The service was INCREDIBLE. Really, this is the place you want to take your car if you have ANY problems. read more

UPDATE: I am extremely disappointed even further with this dealership after almost a year of buying my car from them. Not only did Frank lie about the Simoniz covering the undercarriage, but I was told that the Simoniz would leave my paint looking amazing and that it would bead up for the next 7 years. WELL, after one winter, my car no longer "beads up" where the salt sat on the sides, and I can't get it "re-coated" unless my car gets repainted or wet sanded. I was also promised a $70 check from the dealership to replace the fee I was charged for cancelling my overpriced warranty that was cancelled within the 30 days of purchase. I have not received this check. Please, do your research and do not go to this dealership. After a year of buying my car, I am still having headaches and the finance manager will lie until he's blue in the face to get the most money he possibly can from you. Thanks again Frank. read more

My engine light went on on my 2016 Escape. I called Hoffman Service to bring it in, as I was planning a trip the next day and was told they couldn't look at the car for 2 weeks. I called Mitchell/Selig Ford in Windsor and even though they were booked, they told me to bring it in and they would fit me in. I did and they were amazing. I had never been there before and Gareth in service was welcoming and identified the problem was a defective engine. Gareth arranged for a loaner car, followed up with me and exceeded my expectations. David does beat Goliath. read more

This is a review on the service department. I have been pleased with service department since I bought my 2013 Escape both when it was still Bill Selig Ford and as Mitchell . Until this point I have only had the routine maintenance and recalls performed as the car has been trouble free. The experience has always been good and they usually get it done while I wait. However this past Saturday I noticed oil in the driveway under a wheel. Oh oh this cannot be good. Only three things to leak their, a CV joint, a strut or a brake line/caliper. Struts don't usually drip oil and I noticed nothing unusual about handling etc. CV joints are packed with grease . Not likely them either. That leaves the brakes. I called the service department Saturday AM and said I could drop it off late that morning. They would try to take a look at it, but the repair would likely be Monday. 20 minutes before closing on Saturday , they called to say it was all repaired. Turned out it was a strut. The serve manager stayed an extra few minutes so I could pick up the car. Friendly and efficient service department . I guess I will be doing more business with you. read more

Brought my car here for a check due to needing to refill my coolant a few times. Was told that I had multiple problems with the car totaling up to 2400 cost to fix. My mileage was at 60,140 and due to being over 60k they said there was no warranty and were not willing to work with me. Well I didn't trust this completely so I brought my car back to western mass to my dads trusted car mechanic. He said there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car, no leaks, nothing. So happy I didn't waste my money paying ford! Shady dealership for sure. Also, the car is only 5 years old and was bought brand new. read more

Bought my Ford Fusion here in 2012, when it was just Selig Ford. Loved the salesman and loved the Service department. As soon as it became Mitchell Selig Ford, the service nosedived. I had the check engine light on twice when I brought it in and they did nothing about it (even though I asked them to). Got a flat tire which they quoted as a $1000 repair; got it done for $300 somewhere else. Got a recall notice and called to get an appointment 3 times this morning. Got hung up on 3 times. Was in the market for a used Explorer and searched all of New England for the right vehicle which I found right here in my backyard. All the on-line car sale services said it was a great price and dropped over and met with Breen Ramkissoon who really knows his Ford's inside and out. After an inspection and test drive, I was sold and then met with Tony Andeen the sales manager and Frankie Zanin of the finance department (who also beat my credit union finance rate) who both made the purchase process flow seamlessly and without any pressure or hassle found at those "other" dealerships. Brought my vehicle in because the transmission was slipping in some situations on the highway. They told me that Ford had recognized the issue and it was due to faulty software. I was told that a quick upload of new software was all that was needed. Then I got a bill for $216.00. I was told it took 2 hours for the software to upload. First of all, when you upload software, it does not take a person full time for 2 hours to upload. I know that for a fact, because I called other Ford Dealers afterwards....So Selig Ford just ripped me off there! Secondly, if original software is faulty, then replacement software should be provided for free. Thirdly, $108.00 an hour to load software.....nice work if you can get it. I recommend that anyone reading this go elsewhere for service and to purchase a vehicle. I bought this Edge there and expect, as a dealer, that they stand behind their products. the repair was not due to wear, use, or neglect, but admittedly, a bad software patch from the beginning. Should have been repaired for free. Shame on you! read more

I have always had excellent service at Mitchell Selig Ford. My only complaint about the recent service is minor - I had a left front control arm replaced, and while the alignment seems fine, the steering wheel is now turned slightly to the left when I'm heading straight. So, I will bring that in for correction at some point. read more

I was only allowed to drive it around that parking lot as it needed "a part" to make it road worthy. After almost an hour of watching my salesman go back and forth working the numbers between myself and Tyler, the sales manager, Tyler finally walked out and greeted me. Tyler asked me "if we replace the part and everything is fine, would I buy the car?" I replied "I haven't even test driven it yet. How can I know if I would like it?" He then stated that they are going to send the car to auction on Tuesday without replacing the part so I have until then to decide (with no test drive). So here is a vehicle that they are advertising for sale on the internet, to the world, but you can't take it for a test drive unless you commit to buying it, then they will fix it. My Lincoln developed a hesitation during low throttle operation around town. I took it to Bill Selig Ford. They kept the car for three days, admitted that they had no idea what was causing the hesitation and could find nothing to fix. They suggested changing the spark plugs, which I agreed to. They billed me $500. The car still has the hesitation and runs just as badly as when I took it to them. Just outrageous incompetence. How do you work on a car for three days, come up with 'change the spark plugs' which should have been their first idea and bill for $500 to do the job? read more

Bought a vehicle here at the beginning of July. Vehicle that I bought was a bit unique in that I was looking for a certain combination of cab/bed/color/etc. making it difficult to find the exact combination of what I was looking for and they happen to have it. Negotiating for the deal was extremely painful. Sales manager claimed first offer was the best offer he could ever do no matter what. Tried driving off the lot twice but the jr sales associate ran out the door saying they would get closer to what I wanted. At one point, the sales manager explicitly (and seriously) asked me "Is your wife not human". How insulting to imply my wife is less than human because she's sticking to her guns on what she thinks the transaction is worth. The ONLY reason I put up with the poor service was that after trying to drive off the lot twice, they met the price that my wife and I wanted (despite her apparently not being human) for the unique vehicle I wanted. Part of the negotiation with the jr sales associate was a Ford OEM reverse camera being added to the deal. Sales manager agreed to the reverse camera being added but an honest miscommunication between sales manager and jr sales associate meant at delivery I had a cheap aftermarket license plate camera installed as opposed to the OEM camera. Jr Sales associate even commented on it when I spoke to him two days after delivery (he wasn't available on day of delivery) as he recognized the camera was different than what we discussed. I don't think there was a deliberate attempt to put the cheap camera on the vehicle, but the lack of care or assistance resolving the issue after raising it several times prior to and after delivery put the nail in the coffin. Sales manager couldn't even acknowledge that it was a miscommunication between he and the jr sales associate and never offered to help make it better. Simply suggested the camera works and that if I wanted the OEM camera, he'd be happy to install it if I would pay for the upcharge for it. Could not understand that my understanding of the deal was inclusive of OEM camera. I'll never use Mitchell Selig Ford for another vehicle purchase or service again and will be sure to point any friends in the opposite direction. I would highly recommend buying your vehicle elsewhere unless they happen to have that unique combination that you can't find anywhere else within reasonable distance. read more

I contacted Selig Fords office late at night and left a voicemail. Their salesman (West Dukes) contacted me early the next morning, very prompt response. I told him on the phone i needed to get into a certified premium pre owned 2013 mustang ford convertible within 24 hours, as i just sold my old mustang convertible and am without a vehicle. He went to work right away, with getting the approval from the bank. Because i live 94 minutes away we did everything over the phone, even me sending pictures of my license plates and registration via text message. The test drive was fun and exploratory, they said nothing even though i was speeding heavily and asking a thousand questions. i drove it home that day. My car has a bumper to bumper warranty and comes with a year of roadside assistance, they even assisted me with gap insurance. One thing that cockblocked them from getting five stars instead of four was the fact that i had to spend my entire day off at the mechanic having a loose ti rod repaired, but they compensated the price for the repair and gave me four new tires and a free tank of gas, which i infinitely appreciate. The car is everything I'm looking for, and their service and sales departments are top notch. Fast follow up and good teamwork. read more

I went to pick up my new Ford F150 on 1-26-19. My appointment was for 10:15. Due to poor service I had to wait almost 3 hours before I drove away! Vehicle wasn't ready from Detailing. Then, inexplicably, I had to wait over an hour for the manager, Frankie, to get around to seeing me to do the paperwork. I was paying cash so I don't know why it took so long to get me in. They were disrespectful of my time. They certainly didn't look busy. Also, despite all the time waiting around, the sales guy didn't bother show me all the features of the vehicle. For example, I had to go on UTUBE to find the jack among other things. I had emailed the sales person, but it took him several days to respond. Appears that once they get the sale, they don't care. On the positive side, sales person was couteous and the sale was low pressure. Still, I would not recommend this place unless they were the only ones who have the vehicle I wanted. If that happened. I suppose I would grit my teeth and have to put up with their poor service read more

Took my wife's Subaru in for an oil change and tire rotation as they had sent me a coupon for this service. Had made an appointment for 7:30am. Arrived on time and it took about 10 minutes to check-in which is okay as there were 2 other cars ahead of me. After about an hour and 15 minutes went back to the advisory and was told it was almost done even though the paperwork was on his desk. Took another 15 minutes to write me up and pay. Then I had to request a copy of the inspection. Service was okay but definitely seems that they need better organization as 90 minutes for oil change, tire rotation and basic check-up is rather excessive, should have been 1/2 or less of the time. read more

I went in to two dealers before Mitchell Selig Ford at one they could not make the #'s work at the other I walked into the showroom and was not even acknowledged. Walking into Mitchell Selig Ford was different Rodney Franks my salesman greeted me as I walked through the door. I had a rough appointment with internet sales but they were busy at the time; understandable as I had told them that I would be in at around 11 and it was 12. I had a car in mind and a price that I was willing to pay (a stretch for the car I wanted) but Rodney got it done. I was impressed I had the paperwork in hand by 1 and an appointment to pick up the car the following weekend ( I was unable to bring the car home then or get in sooner I have no doubt that if I had wanted it then it would have been ready). The following weekend I drove down to pick up my brand new Mustang. 5 minutes in with finance and the paperwork was done (fastest I have ever experienced in over 10 car buying transactions). find my new Baby in the service area balloons tied to the mirror sitting ready for me. It was raining so they brought my car into the service area to transfer all my junk into the new car. Rodney offered to help even though the showroom was full and I am sure there was a sale he would miss. The follow through has been beyond belief with everyone I meet at the dealership asking how everyone likes my new car and if I need anything. will gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a ford or any new car. He immediately pulled up the keys to the car I was interested in and we took a drive. He listened as I spoke about what I liked about my current Ford. I felt no sales pressure at all during the entire experience. Dwight pointed out the car's features and answered all of my questions patiently. He then suggested some cars on the lot that might also fit my needs and were in my price range. He spent a great deal of time and I came away with two cars to consider along with the Carfax Reports, prices and a trade in value for my current car.
