Picture of the DMV form they lied on, the 5 items highlighted should have been checked as fail not pass, the car is not safe at all.
    Woodtke, J.

WARNING IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SAFE RELAIBLE VEHICLE DO NOT SHOP HERE. I bought what they told me was a reliable safe car on 3/29/23, first of all they lied on the DMV form, if they actually inspected the car like they said or were honest the car failed at least 5 categories, yes have reported this to DMV, BBB, the Attorney General, DCP and spoke with a lawyer. The transmission didn't go into reverse, they backed it in when I went on the test drive so didn't notice it. I asked about the bald tires and was told they would be replaced by the time I picked the car up in 3 days. I got there with the check and no ride home, 45+ miles away, to find out they didn't replace any of the tires and didn't even clean the car out, it had medical records from the previous owner in it and tons of trash and food be the tracks for the seats. I reported a list of issues within 36 hours of picking the car up and was told to call service and make an appointment to have them look at the cat, they agreed the transmission needed to be replaced and the tires were bad and all the suspension parts that were broken, the exhaust intermediate pipe crushed (they refused to fix exhaust, the service manager told me he tested it himself but there is no test post cat so he lied to my face), the parking brake cable was snapped in half and zip tied to the undercarriage, long story short it had been in an accident and not reported. They had the car for 5 weeks the first time and all that was done was some of the suspension and they replaced the transmission with one that was in worse shape than the one in it, it has a class 3 leak, in a week i have to put in 1-2 quarts of transmission fluid. They said they ordered the wrong part for the parking brake so id have to bring it back when they got it. They were going to replace one tire, all 4 needed to be replaced, i argued that it needed 4 because they were all almost bald and you have to replace 4 at the same time on an AWD vehicle so they replaced 2 and left 2 of the almost bald ones on it. They used the car to transport the transmission to the shop and ruined the interior of the car, black grease everywhere, torn leather and carpet, gouges in the plastic. The value tanked with that damage not to mention all the mechanical issues the car has. They never screwed down the air box nor did they clamp it to the engine and the 2 caps on the air conditioner refridgerant hose are missing, the 2 new tires do not have valve stem caps. Ive had to bring it there more than 3 times and they made it worse not better. I asked for my money back but they refuse to respond to me anymore. I gave them more chances to make things right than most people would have. Im on the autism spectrum and told them that early on to explain my issue of having trouble communicating in person and they took full advantage of that. The last time they had the car i was driving with my 12 month old grand daughter and 3 of the lug nuts flew off of the back tire and it was shaking so bad i thought a tire blew out. I immediately pulled over and checked the remaining 3 lug nuts which were so loose im lucky they didnt come off too. They could have killed me and my grand baby. This has been by far the worst experience buying a car ever. I have many serious health conditions and have important appointments I've had to cancel because they had the car so long and till the last time refused to give a loaner car, they said their insurance won't let them the first 3 times then when I contacted the owner and made a big deal out of it they suddenly had a loaner for me. My dad died and I had no car to get to his house to see him one last time before he passed away. All I want is what I spent on the car and gas and they can have the car back and use it as a shop vehicle since the interior is ruined. If you value your time and money I urge you to stay as far away from this place and the pos vehicles they lie about to sell to you for more than its worth and is on its last leg and needs more work than you paid for the car. The leaking transmission that they put in soaked the alternator with fluid and it was smoking and almost caught fire. After having the car off and hood open for 30+ min a thermal camera said it was still over 200°. It was smoking bad and making a crazy noise so they told me to drive it there and they would look at it, I had to tow it there, it was not safe to drive 56 miles there. They shouldn't be allowed to sell cars that they haven't even inspected or cleaned before selling it. I tried multiple times to meet with the owner and speak face to face and he dodged me and when he finally gave me a day and time to be there I got there 10 min early to see him running out the back door and when I went in and asked for him I was told to go to service and speak with the service manager who is very condescending and pushy and rude not to mention all the times he lied to my face. They have not responded to BBB, shady people, avoid them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU ARE BUYING A VEHICLE. They change there prices from what is on line and what they say over the phone. When you question them they have all these different excuses. This is from there Manager Mike. A real shady place. Photos is there way to scam a customer.

We purchased what was supposed to be a GREAT 1st car for our daughter in May 2019 for $5,982 ($4995 plus tax & doc fees). A 2006 Volkswagon Jetta GLI 2.0L Turbo DSG 4 door sedan with an automatic transmission, 117,153 miles & new brakes & rotors in a lovely Shadow Blue. The original listing proclaimed it was reliable, dependable, well maintained & highlighted how great it looked & ran! When we bought it, they assured us they also go through the car & repair any problems. We test drove it & mentioned the rotors & they did replace those but we were still told they would go through the car top to bottom. Instead of my daughter enjoying her 1st car, it was driven to the junk yard. The very same week we bought it, we had to replace the headlight bulbs for $25, 1 HID ballast igniter for $100, change the filthy oil at Valvoline for $70 plus 4 coil packs & plugs for $125. It somehow passed the State of CT safety inspection. (Not sure how with headlights that didn't work & so on - maybe they are greasing everything EXCEPT the cars) Less than 100 miles into ownership, (30 of which were driving it home) the low oil pressure light pays us a visit so we brought it to an awesome local mechanic - Good Guys Auto in Southington. It was a hot mess to say the least. They replaced the oil pick up tube, pick up tube o-ring, turbo drain gasket, internal oil filler cap & oil pan gasket tube. They found metal shavings and pieces in the oil pan and pick up tube, also the oil filter cage in housing was missing, 3 of the 4 tires were dry rotted, & hey, since I am on a roll, the brake vacuum pump and transmission oil cooler were leaking & the drivers side door didn't lock and kept trying to lock as you were driving. The bill here was $976. Between parts & labor, we would have needed to spend close to $7,000 to fix the car that should not have been sold to us with a blown engine & the other 1000 problems. The mechanic advised us to tow it away & cut our losses - that is what we did. Full disclosure - they earned 1/2 star by writing us a check for $1500 to ease my pain after having swindled us & we are out almost $7500 & the car is a total loss. My Feedback - don't walk, run!

On 4/29 I purchased my Cadillac escalade. They had my suv for almost a month supposedly fixing the vehicle. The loan company requested the paperwork be updated and changed because by the time I finally picked up my vehicle it was a week away from making my 1st payment. The payment was changed until the end of June. My 2nd payment is due tomorrow and I just spent nearly $500 to replace the alternator. I was told I should have brought it back to dealership to fix. What insurance company tows almost 2 hours? My Geico covers 20 miles. The dealership is not concerned with selling reliable vehicles. I have NEVER had to make a MAJOR repair on a vehicle that I have purchased at a dealership before. I'd also like to mention in the trunk was a nest of mice. So apparently they didn't even detail the vehicle.

PHENOMENAL!! To say I was impressed with North Bay is an understatement! Let's start from the…read morebeginning. I have been looking for a cabriolet 2018 Audi S5 Cabriolet for at least a month, either they were sold by the time the dealer got to me or the price wasn't right. I saw that North Bay had a few on their lot(which is unheard of) and I contacted them about a particular S5 Premium Plus. It was after hours and they got back to me next day, and we began the process. From the pictures, the car looked immaculate, low miles, off lease and a fantastic price. As I work and live in NY and they are in CT, I was looking to do the deal online. I contacted many dealerships outside of my area that would only talk to me if I drove to their dealer, some as far as Virginia. Being out of state was no problem from the team at North Bay. Put in a credit app online and they went to work to make the deal work. My credit has some dings and this was going to be third vehicle that we financed. A lot of banks wanted us to trade in one of the vehicles but we were looking to have three, as my son needed a car and we were going to be gifting him one of the cars. I don't know what or how they did it, but they were able to not only find a bank willing to accept the terms but the rate was very agreeable. Gave me a call and email on a Saturday to tell me the deal was done. Again, like no dealer I have ever dealt with, they asked for no deposit and started to prep the car for pick up! They put the car through their shop, full check up, and even put on a set of BRAND NEW, HIGH END tires! We drove up to CT from Long Island, NY to pick up the car on a Saturday am. Since we purchased the car sight on seen, it was the first time being at the dealer and seeing the car. Timmy and the team immediately welcomed us, had the detailed car bought around with temp plates for us to drive before taking care of the paperwork! The car was beautifully detailed and in absolute phenomenal shape, it looked like it just came of the factory line. Timmy took us through the pay work, and it was seamless! No high pressure add on nonsense, just a small dealer fee(which wouldn't even cover the cost of new tires on this particular car) and we added GAP insurance. Less than 40 minutes, in and out with a beautiful S5 cabriolet! This place is what a car buying experience should be, especially with cars at this price point! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a late model luxury vehicle that is perfect condition, low miles, great price with ZERO HASSELE OR dealer BS! Timmy is a great dude and the rest of the guys in the office were also great! It's the happiest I've ever seen people watching me take the car home, it was awesome! GET HERE TO GET THE PERFECT CAR! I'll be back without a doubt!!

Warning: Loyal 6-Year Customer & Car Buyer Held Hostage Over Unauthorized Work…read more I have been a loyal customer of North Bay Imports for six years. I bought my car directly from them and have had every single service done at this shop since the day I purchased it. Since the old crew (Dallas and John) left, the honesty is gone. I just paid $1,600 and was treated with utter disrespect and predatory billing. The Breaking Point: The "Secret" Repairs: I brought my car in for a noise. I authorized a drive shaft repair and axle work (which Nicole, the advisor, initially tried to charge for until I reminded her they were under warranty from their own shop). Billing "Errors": My bill was initially $1,900. When I questioned it, I found Nicole had added a diagnostic fee. In six years of buying and servicing my car here, I have never been charged a diagnostic fee when getting the actual repair done. She only took it off the bill because I caught it and called her out. The Pickup Ambush: When I went to pick up my car today, Nicole suddenly claimed I needed an oil change and sway bar links--items she never mentioned in the two weeks they had my car. The Mileage Lie: I just had an oil change there on 1/29. I haven't even driven the miles for a new one. She tried to claim the previous staff recorded the miles wrong--a total lie to cover up a money grab. Illegal Detention: Because I declined the surprise work and the brakes, Nicole refused to give me my keys unless I signed a separate "danger waiver." She told me they had the right to keep my car even though I was paying in full for the repairs I authorized. This is a violation of CT law. Zero Accountability: I confronted Nicole in front of the female part-owner with my text records proving she never mentioned the extra work. Despite being a customer who bought the car there and only services it there, the owner was completely indifferent and stood by while her staff was untruthful. I was forced to sign their waiver under protest just to get my property back. It is heartbreaking to see a business I once trusted turn into a place that uses fear and illegal coercion to make a sale. Save yourself the stress--take your vehicle somewhere else.

I left the gas station and parked to see and saw a massive leak coming from the gas tank area underneath my car. So then he gave me a loaner blah blah blah. Fixed it the same day. I drove it off and then about a 2 weeks after buying the car cash, the unthinkable happens, driving from the beach the car in the middle of the road just shuts off and starts smoking up. Won't respond and it wasn't the battery AAA checked it and said it's engine issue, brought it to my local mechanic and was told that the dealer half assed a lot of the issues on the car. Said that they pretty much let a beginner take care of it. Which most of the mechanics there are not certified or have experience with fixing cars. So fixing that with my mechanic and NOW hopefully there won't be anymore issues. I won't buy again from this place, due to the fact that they don't care about their customers.
