This place sucks. Absolutely terrible. The woman in the office is a terrible communicator and doesn't respect her customers AT ALL. She screwed me on a trade . She cuts out of work early and there's no there to take care of the proper paperwork to buy a car. They aren't serious about their business and could care less about their customers. The car I bought was said to have been checked out as far as being road ready It was 100% not. On my way home after I bought the car I was on the highway and noticed a vibration. It was a seized caliper. When I went to have it checked out, the brakes were shot in the front, the suspension was rotted ALL THE WAY AROUND THE CONTROL ARMS WERE SHOT in the front drivers side. I was sick to my stomach after hearing this. I will be reporting them for false advertisement and may even get a lawyer STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This place gives used car dealers a bad name. Won't disclose the name of the warrantee co. No invoices or old parts provided, screamed, threatened, and threw us out for asking logical questions, duplicate charges for repairs 6 months earlier, front end work sort of done with no alignment then said tires wore out rapidly because we drive hard. Sketch. Do your research on your vehicles! Gave me wrong purchase number then didnt want to take accountability. Tried to tell me tires weren't old. Go take another look. They're 15 years old. They go off of other market prices to make it fair. Took my car to mechanic after detailing it... Comes back with oily floor mats. The car was mint. Was not happy about that! I understand it wasn't dealership, but cmon now. I have no problems because i did my research! Saw other cars and could have been in a leaky situation. If i could give zero stars i would. At the end of March of this year, 2021, I purchased a 2013 BMW X3 SUV from Coachlight Motors. After three months of owning this vehicle, I noticed that engine coolant was leaking as I refilled the coolant on multiple occasions within this timespan. Upon realizing this, I called Coachlight and was told by them to bring my car to their shop so that a mechanic can take a look at it. After the vehicle was in their possession for a little over a day, I was contacted and informed that there was an issue with the turbo coolant line and it needed to be replaced. This was on June 22, 2021. During this conversation, I was asked if I wanted Coachlight Motors shop to go ahead with fixing the coolant leak. The estimate came out to $1800 plus tax and material. I asked them to hold off on the work because I wanted to research the issue more and look into getting it done somewhere else for a less expensive price. Putting this much money into a car that I have only had for 3 months is a big burden to deal with. Approximately ten minutes after finishing the previously mentioned phone call, I received a call from Coachlight Motors' Jessica Peaslee, during which she informed me that the owner had agreed to pay the labor for the work that needed to be done as long as I paid for the parts, tax, and shop supplies. I agreed to let them go ahead and fix my car after that conversation. Upon picking up the car on June 25, 2021, another employee, Jimmy, let me know the total amount I owed was $919.26. I gave him $920 in cash (never again will I use cash as a form of payment) and he gave me my keys and a copy of the invoice. After this I left. When I got home from Coachlight Motors, I took a look at the invoice and noticed they charged me $606.76 for the parts, tax, and shop supplies and an additional $312.50 for labor. Knowing this must be a mistake I drove back to the dealership to ask why I was charged for labor I did not agree to pay for. As soon as I got there Jimmy directed me to Jessica's office, as she was the one who originally told me I would not be charged for labor, and she was also the head of the service department. I went on to reiterate to Jessica that the agreement was for me to pay for the parts, tax, and shop supplies, and they would handle the labor cost. Her response was that the labor I was charged for wasn't actually labor, it was parts that she put under the labor column on the invoice. I then asked her to give me an itemized format of the invoice so I can know exactly what my money went to and see if the numbers added up correctly. She said that she wasn't going to do that and that she wasn't going to give me any money back and if I really needed it she would mail it to me in a week. I told her I did not mind waiting for it but I needed a copy of it to make sure I was being charged correctly. She got mad and said, "Fine, hand me your invoice and I'll do it for you." I took a picture of the original invoice and gave it to her so she could correct it and once it was in her hand she said she didn't feel like doing it anymore, refused to give me the invoice back, and said that they covered some of the parts and some of the labor and that's all they were going to do. She then ordered me to get out of her office. I calmly walked down the stairs as she followed me and screamed out that they already discounted the price. She told me that I'm never happy and have to get out. Once I got downstairs, I explained the situation to the other employee, Jimmy, that when I agreed for them to do the service I agreed to pay for parts, tax, and shop supplies and not labor. I then left to be respectful and not prolong the commotion. Along with all that, the invoice isn't correct!!! On the top it says shop supplies- $25 but on the bottom $45? I contacted the dmv and they expressed their concern and agreed about the invoice not adding up but since i didn't have it in writing what they promised to charge they couldn't legally do anything. After thinking about it for a few months i decided to post my experience because not one person from coachlight tried to contact me for a refund. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Our son was dead set on a certain car and found one at a dealer down the road from CoachLight. After the worst experience we have ever had looking at vehicle (we are in our 50's so there have been plenty to compare), we drove past Coach Light, with a very disappointed kiddo, and saw the same kind of car so we stopped. We are so glad we did! Everyone was amazing! Since my husband had been a mechanic over 40 years, we went over the car, test drove it, and pointed out some issues we had concerns about. We were told that we could look at it on the lift the following week (it was late Saturday). let me tell you, these folks dealt with a mechanic and a concerned mom but never once acted like we were a bother. Then there were some hiccups on my end during purchase/registration that I felt so badly about but Jess was so understanding and again didn't seem bothered, if she was (I would have been) she hid it well. We have a happy boy, a feasible car payment for him, and now he has seen both sides of car salesman. We are just really happy with everything. read more

Don't buy a car here!! We brought our car back after 2 weeks because the brake light comes on. After the car had been serviced and kept for a week they ambush us with a 1500 charge!! No conversation the entire week they had the vehicle about a charge or that this was an "as is" purchase and they won't even honor a 30 day warranty!! And after Jessica had several conversations with us and "Sal" the owner who is too busy to speak with his customers they still stick us with a 500 bill!! Sal thought it would be only fair for us to pay half. That makes sense Sal. After all we did own the car for a little over 2 weeks!!!!! Not!!! I will be sure to be the word out there for anyone that is looking to purchase a used car. Bring your attorney during the signing of this paperwork. It's a scam. Don't do it to yourself. I rarely take to the internet to bad mouth any businesses, but since my wife bought her car from these people with the understanding that we were buying a great vehicle in excellent condition, she's had to bring the car back 3 times over the past 3 months. I brought a 2009 Nissan Rogue. Purchasing the car was easy, although i had to wait a week for it to be ready. After I purchased the vehicle is when everything went downhill! Within days of buying the car, I returned it because my tires were vibrating. After a week they returned the car, claiming it was fixed but the next day it still kept vibrating. They took my car over to Nissan who stated my vehicle needed a NEW TRANSMISSION. But they did not want to pay Nissan for the repairs. After another 3 weeks my car was returned to me and I was told I had a new USED transmission. 3 days after driving the car, it left me stuck at a 4 way intersection. Now here I am returning my car for the 3rd time and I haven't even owned the car for a full 2 months yet. I do not want this vehicle anymore and unfortunately they will not take it back. I recently purchased a car from Coach Light Motors in East Windsor, CT and the service was outstanding. When I went up there for the test drive, Jimmy the salesman was nothing but nice to me. I purchased the car and it was ready a week later to take home! When I got home there was a service light that came on, I called and had it up there within the week. They gave me a car to drive in exchange for mine for the week it would be in the shop. Jimmy and the other workers really did everything they could to make me feel welcome and comfortable and to make sure my car was as safe as it could possibly be. I haven't had a problem since I got it back. I could not be happier with my car or the experience I had with Coach Light Motors. Needed a car for my daughter, I was driving by Coachlight Motors and decided to stop. So glad I did!! I dealt with Jimmy first who Is the sales person, he was super nice and listened to what I was looking for and my budget. He showed me an Accord which was perfect!! I was going to pay cash for it but then Jessica came down to talk to me about financing so I could build my daughters credit. It made perfect sense!! she made everything so easy and quick. I purchased a 2007 BMW from Coach Light Motors about one month ago. After two weeks a brake light came on. I called and spoke with Jimmy. He said "bring it down, it probably needs to be reset as we changed the brake pads". So after bringing it down for the reset, the mechanic on duty could not reset the light and said it needed a sensor. So I dropped it off a week later for a sensor. After keeping the car for over a week with the only updates I received is when I called for them, I finally get a call from Jessica saying the car was ready for pickup and I owed $1500 for the repair! Are you kidding? Jessica informed me that I purchased the car "as-is" and no warranty existed, so I am responsible for the repair. Not once during the sales process was a "no warranty" disclosed to me, just "sign here, initial there". On top of that, if I was responsible for the repair, why wasn't I given an estimate or the option to bring it to my mechanic who has worked on my previous BMW's? Come to find out, the car was sent out to another shop for the repairs and this was their bill to Coach Light. I asked Jessica (who stated multiple times that she had dropped the ball on this all week : never called with an update, never mentioned this was not covered under a warranty, not getting an estimate, not giving me the option to bring to my own mechanic, etc....But now its my $1500 bill to pay!) if I could speak with Sal the owner. She said no, only that she could relay the messages to him. His response to her was that he thought I should pay for the repairs as they needed to be done and maybe we could split it 50/50. Again, I would be happy to pay if this was ever discussed with me during the week and a half they had my car. But it was not. So, in order to get my car back, I agreed to pay $500 and I asked Jessica if there is a problem moving forward, who is covering the repair. She replied, "well it can't be covered as you didn't pay for the invoice in full". REALLY???!!!!??? SO BUYER BEWARE. HORRIBLE PLACE TO BUY A CAR. read more
