This place had very great customer service and was very attentive and helpful! They took great care of me and even fixed some rust that was hiding underneath some paint on the hood free of charge for me as well as detailed it. If I could give "0" stars I would stay away they are criminals and crooks. My son bought a car there and 8 days later it needed 2500 more to fix it than he paid for it and they told him oh well so sorry so sad. They screwed him royally run as fast as you can the law says that in the price range he bought it for they are suppose to give a 30 day warranty. Well the AG's office was notified recently by me, I told my son I would handle it. If Car City reads this - just know this I won't back down like he did buckle up its gonna get bumpy read more

Ill start out by saying the customer service was good. I saw this vehicle online and called them about it on a Fri/Sat telling them I am interested in the vehicle and wanted to know if they could hold the vehicle till the following Monday since I was coming from MD. They held that vehicle for me and it was there Monday morning when I arrived. They were professional and polite through the entire process. I knew I would be buying the vehicle "as is" and was comfortable doing so. During the test drive there wasn't anything alarming to me that stood out or seem questionable. We started on the paperwork and while going through it, they explained they only had to change the brake pads, rotors, and give it an oil change. The car had less than 30K miles on it so I didn't expect it to need much. On the CT inspection report it stated that the vehicle passed the state inspection. Since this was an out of state purchase, the vehicle had to go through MD state inspection. I was expecting the vehicle to pass with flying colors but I was dumbfounded when the shop told me the vehicle failed! The vehicle failed due to needing two front tires. I wasn't expecting that at all and it was an inconvenience. Either CT is lenient on tires or MD is really strict. Furthermore, I was told the drivers front CV boot was leaking and needed to be addressed. I took the vehicle to the dealership to have them address the CV leak issue & come to find out, the CV boot/seal was all good and not leaking. However, the axle seal (which connects the axle to the transmission) was leaking and will need to be replaced. Great! Another issue I believe should've been caught and addressed by CT state inspection but here we are. Total repairs cost me an extra $800 out of pocket. While the service was friendly, i am not pleased with having to make repairs so soon on a vehicle that went through another state inspection and has less than 30K miles on it. The vehicle is a 2013 Honda Accord BTW. Not sure why the axle seal would need to be replaced so soon but things happen. Im happy with the vehicle because it will be with me for years to come, but it would've been a better experience had these things been addressed prior to purchase, or I was at least informed of these needed repairs. read more

Bought a car last February and recently had it inspected by carmax to see how much it was worth. Car max did internet search and inspection. I was told that the car was sold at auction with frame damage disclosed. When I bought the car from Car City they never said that the car had frame damage. Went back to Car City to try to make a deal to replace my car for about the same payment amount as I pay now and they want nothing to do with me or the car I bought from them. read more

Well, I was very interested in a vehicle with this business and even filled out a credit app for financing, but every time I called to check on my credit app and or speak with someone regarding this vehicle the person(s) that answered the phone whom he only identified himself when I asked as the owner of the business. He was short and very rude and no one including the finance manager/person was available after my third time calling so I guess will continue to search into other places but better known and with professional staff/ownership which this one lacked big time. We went to see a vehicle and were presented with multiple vehicles. When we were ready to talk numbers, the owner would not even lower his price on the vehicle. Instead, he kept asking if we were from Connecticut to somehow justify his $500 conveyance fee. We came with cash and would be handling our own registration of the vehicle. Still, the owner insisted on his conveyance fee + $200 for transferring of our plate. All we were expecting this business to do was to sell us the vehicle at the posted price cash, but he instead dropped our offer without even making one offer himself to us. It's probable that he was about to remove $200 from the listed price but then add it again as some sort of a fee on top of the $500. $500 for processing....? Processing what? A receipt for cash payment and signing over of the title over? We weren't doing financing which would have been a lot worse to allow them instigating every sort of fees under the sun and bundling it up as part of the final sale, all this crookedness for a used vehicle that can cost more to repair than the actual sale price.
