Dan, Larry and Dave were excellent to work with. About 3 months ago I purchased a used Toyota Prius from you and I couldn't be happier. I tell everyone I meet about the wonderful service you provided me with and comfortable purchasing experience. I will be doing all my car shopping here for now on! Hope to see you all again soon! read more

RUN away from this place went to get diagnosis done on my car they told me the same thing I told them that was wrong with my car when I came in to get it fixed and still charged me 179.93 . he told me it's going to take another two hours so they don't have time today I booked this appointment a week ago ! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Torrington Toyota. I bought my brand new Toyota Rav4 LE Hybrid. Love my new ride. Thanks to Tarek Hamzy (Tee). I highly recommend him. He's very knowledgeable, friendly, down to earth. And thanks also to Jesus Roche for making all the paperwork as quick and painless as possible. Less stress. What a team. They're a great asset to Torrington Toyota. Thanks again Tee and Jesus. Sincerely, Barbara Szynkowicz read more

I recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle and the entire process was extremely positive. T is an excellent saleperson...extremely responsive and easy to work with. I feel I received an good deal. There was a small glitch right after I picked up the car, but the service department handled it quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend this dealership for sales and service! read more

I purchased my car less than three years ago and I have had to return back to the dealer more than five times for repair. 5/5 times they were not able to fix the problem or say they don't see a problem. Ae ding me home and having me return over and over again. The computer needled three visits to return. I just left there and they say they detailed my car in the report. My car is in the same condition as when I brought it in for service. When I ask to speak to a manager there isn't a manager to be found to hear my concerns. I will not be returning mor will I ever refer someone to this dealershi. They take your business and don't hold up their end of the bargain. if you would like pictures I would be happy to show you what they consider a full detail. read more

I inquired about a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport that I saw on the website. The car hadn't been delivered yet but I was sent the spec sheet and knew I wanted it having already test drove one a few months ago. I initially dealt with Randy and he reserved the truck for me. Then was handed off to Tee. Both of them are awesome and really great guys. I reached out to the dealership to request the purchase order ahead of the delivery date so I could get the ball rolling on my financing. It was Tee's day off so I unfortunately had to work with Dan Urso. This is where the deal went sour. I received the purchase order and the "Retailer's Conveyance Fee" was unreasonable at $699 and there was also a Vin Etch charge at $199. I tried to negotiate the Conveyance Fee down to $500 and said I did not want the the Vin etch. Danny called me and said they wouldn't negotiate either. I said I was no longer interested. I ended up speaking to Tee the following day when he was back and he initially said since the vehicle hadn't arrived so he could have the vin etch charge removed. Apparently when the vehicles arrive at the dealership, they immediately etch them so they can charge customers this bogus $200 fee that costs them probably $5 to do. At that point I was willing to pay the $699 conveyance fee as long as the vin etch was removed. He then reached out and said Danny was unwilling to remove the vin etch. Talk about a sleazy move. I know they don't care because the vehicle will sell regardless and some other person will get charged the extra fees and will pay them. However I just hope this review reaches the Yelp audience to show a typical dealership pulling their scumbag ways. P.S., make sure Tee and Randy get their $17 for the only positive part of this review. Or do they only get that for Google reviews? read more

Torrington Toyota had the car on property that we wanted to buy. We bought a car from Larry last month. I love the car and Larry was amazing! He was communicative and forthcoming with information about the car and purchase process. He took us for a test drive and showed us how to use all the features of the car after we committed to buying it. read more

These guys are absolute crooks DO NOT BUY your car there. They sold me an off lease used car that was very poorly maintained. They knew it was a bad car. Then when I asked to buy an extended warranty they refused. CAR STEALERSHIP read more

I would be EXTREMELY cautious doing business here. In fact, I would highly recommend against it. First, they gave me a quote of $3,200 for the work, when I inquired elsewhere and found I could get aftermarket for $1,800, these people suddenly said, "Oh, we can do that too." Why didn't they give me that choice up front? We know the answer. Then they told me that I could open a Toyota card and get 6 months interest free. That also turned out to be false. And when I tried to work it up the ladder, I was taken into the office of an individual who looked like he'd be more interested in chewing glass than helping me and told me I'd have to wait a half an hour because he had something else he had to do other than assist a customer who was standing right in front of him. This is a bad place. They are incompetent and do not have their customers' best interests at heart. Stay away! read more

Tee gave us the gold star treatment. We got a fair price on a trade and spend no more than 45 minutes over the 2 visits to do initial and final paperwork. Hassle free is an understatement. Want a great car and amazing customer service? Go here. read more

I had a dead battery and took my 2017 rav4 in as this was an 84 month battery that was 16 months old. This was the third battery in 43,000 miles. Battery 1 was replaced under warranty on 8/6/19 with no charge, battery 2 failed on 1/13/22, and I was charged $143.94 prorated warranty and installation. That battery failed 16 months later. Torrington Toyota refused to warranty an 84 month battery after 16 months use. read more

Fantastic service department who are quick and highly skilled. Moreover, they have a classy, old-school style of talking to their customers that you would be hard-pressed to find at other businesses. read more

I have been using Torrington Toyota for about 2 years now for service on my truck. I feel like a "regular" there due to recall work needed and the service team has always been accommodating and helpful. I've been having an issue with my truck that has been hard to duplicate on demand. I have never had a service manager take care of a customer like Chris has for me. He has figured out issues I've had by networking at trade shows and has had Toyota technical reps at the shop working with me. I can email him about an issue with my truck and he addresses it immediately. They are honest and all work to take care of customers from what I have experienced. For service, this is the only place I would ever go for my Toyota. read more

This is a great place to buy a car. The sales guys are top notch. I was recently searching for a new vehicle and seen one on their site I wanted to check out. Made a phone call and they had it ready the next day. No pressure whatsoever. The easiest vehicle purchase I ever made. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the market. read more

Really strange experience: I inquired about a new Land Cruiser online. When I mentioned that I may trade in my 23 GR Corolla CE, the online salesperson told me, basically, I have two coming in; sell it privately. End of conversation. Insult to injury, he butchered my name in his response! I buy new car once every year or two, I've never seen a dealership boot a prospective customer like this! I guess things are so great that Torrington Toyota can afford to send customers to rival dealerships. It's funny; less than a year ago I had to negotiate off most of a $10k dealer markup on this car. Now I guess it's worthless? Strange times we live in. Toyota is really doing everything in its power to alienate long-time customers. read more

As always. Easy Peezy service visit on my leased Highlander. No delays and no unexpected expenses!

I had a great experience at Torrington Toyota! All the staff were very approachable and helpful during my first car buying experience, specifically Tee Hamzy! He went above and beyond to get me the exact car I wanted! He was very friendly, approachable, easy to contact, and available whenever I had questions! When I picked up my car, he sat down with me and explained every little detail, making sure I felt comfortable and understood how it all worked. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. read more

**Do not get your vehicle serviced at Torrington Toyota** I usually rant and rave about this place. Their sales department is awesome. However, I will never go back to the services department. I had my 2019 Toyota Corolla serviced there on June 1st for the 30,000 mile service. I paid $318 for them to check everything over, top off fluids, and do an oil change. I picked up my car and over the next 2 days it seemed to be running a little off. Had trouble accelerating. On the third, while driving home from work, my car completely stopped accelerating, check engine light came on, and car started shaking violently. I was stranded on the side of 202. After having it checked out, turns out the service tech never actually did an oil change. He just filled more oil on top of the oil that was in there. Doubling the amount of oil my car needed which spilled over into the engine causing it to misfire.... I brought the car back immediately and the two people working inside made jokes about this happening and told me all of the techs had already gone home for the night. The guy at the desk said "let me guess, you need this back tonight??" As if he were annoyed. They kept the car overnight, did a proper oil change, and never offered to compensate me in any way. I had to ask the service manager what they were gonna do and he offered me $100. Not even half of what I had paid. Sorry for the long post. I highly recommend their sales department but DO NOT use their services department. Go to a different dealership and save yourself the time and money. read more

My 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport was in an accident. The truck is only a year old and less than 20k miles. Chris and the body shop guys took care of everything with the other persons insurance company. They made sure all Toyota parts were used and they did a great job. They also did a great job keeping me informed of what was going on and they even got it done a few days sooner than expected. These guys care and do a great job! Highly recommended ! read more

I purchased my 2018 Tundra from this dealership, which is now pushing 150K without a single problem, thanks to the awesome team in the service department. They've been nothing but helpful, accommodating, and honest through the normal wear and tear and maintenance needs, and have gone out of their way on more than a few occasions to help me. Thank you, Torrington Toyota! read more

Truly a great experience and car dealership, typically aren't used in the same breath. Just about every interaction starting with the salesperson, Tee, who was always available to answer questions or research the answer he also kept me informed of the delivery dates as they approached. One of the partners, David also kept the process on a "family-personal" basis rather then acting like a stereotypical dealer. That said I'd recommend Torrington Toyota and Tee hands down! read more

I was looking for several months for the Corolla Cross and Tee from Torrington Toyota called me immediately when one was available. He was the only one to follow through for me and I had contacted many dealerships. I had originally went to Lynch Toyota in Manchester but they ended up taking a $500 deposit from me, told me the car would be there in May but changed the story to JUNE and would not refund my deposit. read more

Dave and Tee were great. They answered emails and texts super-promptly (even outside business hours), were very transparent about their pricing (which was fair given the current environment), and didn't pressure us in any way. Picking up our Sienna was easy, and we also didn't feel like we got a hard sell in the finance office. Highly recommend them to anybody in NW CT! read more

Every time I've ever had my service by them they have been exceptional! Their prices are fair and service guy Nick is the absolute best!!!

I've been servicing my Prius from Torrington Toyota for the past 10 years and am always beyond satisfied with both the customer service and the work being done. Staff is super friendly and helpful, always checking before moving forward with the job. Always pleasantly surprised by the fair pricing and quality. Highly recommend! read more

Although it was only periodic maintenance -- rotate tires, oil change, sytems check, what impressed me was that they advised me to delay having other items done at this point in time -- they could have changed the cabin and engine air filters, and done a complete brake job. No sales pitch, instead, wait, they said, I have another 10K miles before needing all that. And, that's what I like about the company -- they haven't been pushy, and their prices have been very competitive. read more

I just leased a Toyota Highlander in October 2018. This comes with full service during lease and I had my first service yesterday. The check in was easy and the gentleman told me maybe a hour for total service. I was surprised to be called little less than 30 minutes. It was great service, comfortable waiting area and free wifi. Looking forward to great relationship with Torrington Toyota. Thanks again Gill for getting me into the family!! read more

This past January I was in the market for a new car. I called Tee Hamzy at Torrington Toyota. Tee had previously sold me a car a few years earlier. I explained to him what I was looking for & how much I could spend. He lined up 5 cars for me to look at the next day. After trying out a few I picked out the perfect one for me. In a short few hours he had done all of the paper work including registering the car. In the mean time I had added car insurance on the car as well. By mid afternoon I drove away in my new car. Through out this process Tee was absolutely professional, courteous, friendly & helpful in every way. I could not have asked for a better salesman to wait on me. The service department at Torrington Toyota is fantastic. They're punctual, professional and while my Tacoma will probably have few major repairs, I'm quite sure that these guys will handle whatever I toss at them well. It's two years later and everything is still great. I just had an oil change and a tire rotation. Oil change was free and the tire rotation cost me 20 bucks. Not bad for two years and that's my entire charge for this new car so far. read more

I want to give credit to the Service Team and to David, Corey, Glenn and the rest of the crew. We had a maintenance related issue with our Highlander and in the end, the service team came through to resolve the issue with their customer in mind. I know we have all been there, purchasing a car and being told by the dealership that we are "family" blah blah blah, but I witnessed this with Torrington Toyota and I was impressed with their attention to detail, follow up, and overall care in the matter to resolve our vehicle related issue. Having people to back your purchase up is just as important as the purchase itself, and Torrington Toyota came through. Extra shout out to Glenn for just holding our hands through the scenario. read more

I have been doing business here for 12+ years. Tee Hamzy is awesome. He is an honest straight forward salesman. In addition he was able to get me my new Tacoma despite the market shortage. I chose to go a little out of my way, to test drive a 4Runner here, due to their stellar reviews. I spoke with Tee (salesman) and Dave (VP, or GM?) both very polite, low pressure, reasonable people. In an industry known for anything but courtesy, these gentlemen were appreciated. Unfortunately their low allocation of 4Runners at the time, meant that there wasn't a deal to be made (no fault of theirs). However, they evaluated my trade honestly, and with fairness- even taking the time to bring the manager from their body shop to evaluate paint imperfections on my car, all while never being negative, or going to a back room- even as we discussed numbers. I really hope to get to bring business to them in the future. Thanks guys! Other dealers take a note- we are all human, and many of us would gladly even pay a little extra to deal with people who treat their customers with dignity during the car shopping process. read more

I have been a repeat customer and cannot say enough great things about this place. Dave, Danny, Tee, Corey, Chris and everyone else are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! The other Toyota dealerships I have dealt with were the worst. Torrington Toyota by far is the best from their sales department to their service department to their body shop. Highly, highly recommend!!! read more

My husband walked in because we had a nail in a tire and we wanted to replace that tire. They turned around and handed him a $1700 bill asking to replace all four tires and telling us to replace the brakes on a car that is under two years old. Really are we that stupid or that they that dishonest? Shame on them. Don't bother going there for service apparently it's the only way they know how to treat people is by ripping them off. We took our car car out and had it taken care of elsewhere. read more
