Even when shared a quote with them they wouldn't budge on the pricing (that's their prerogative) but they also tried to tell me the other dealerships were misleading us. That just wasn't the case and I saved considerable money by shopping around. Balise has inventory. They have nice customer service areas. They can talk a good game.... But.... The last three times I've shopped for new vehicles none of the balise dealerships came close to offering prices comparable to other dealerships that I worked with. Three thousand on the same car and trim is a lot of money. They also offered far less on a trade in. Do yourself a favor and shop around. Money in your pockets is better than money in theirs! Keep your cash!

Buyer BEWARE!!!!! I…read morepurchase a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Limited with a V6 from them on 10/24/2025 which had 76,601 miles on it. They were so nice during the sale. When I got home, they hadn't completed my Massachusetts registration and the grace period for transferring the plate was almost expired. I found out the RMV rejected the initial title application because they calculated the sales tax wrongly. They attempted to charge me the higher Connecticut rate. Also, I found out they double charged me for several of the state fees. They claimed I needed to give them a separate charge for title and registration fees because they never included that in the sale for Massachusetts purchasers, but they WERE also listed on the bill of sale. In further review of the contract I noticed they charged me 199.00 for a "VIN Etch" service but I never asked for that nor did they physically etch the vehicle anywhere. I did some research and the service is desirable in high crime areas, but I also found out that Connecticut law requires them to PHYSICALLY etch the car if they charge for it. They claimed it was a VIRTUAL etch registration to make it easier for law enforcement to identify the car if it was stolen. I told them this was bogus. Even auto zone or other parts stores can identify the vehicle from VIN or License plate so surely law enforcement can find out the owner quickly. I told them they were breaking the law and after several phone calls and some hostile treatment they eventually agreed to refund that fee. They actually accused me of being hostile because I challenged the charge. They told me it is their standard practice so they scam everyone with this charge and make thousands of dollars a month doing it. About a week after buying the car, it immediately started throwing a P304 Code for cylinder 4 misfire and an auto start/stop error frequently which may be caused by the misfire. It turns out it had a bad ignition coil which explained the slight shudder when the engine started. After replacing the coil and all the plugs at a cost of about 57.00 for the coil and 82.00 for the plugs the code disappeared and the engine starts smoothly. You could see the number 4 plug was wetter compared to the other plugs. They likely knew about this issue and kept clearing the code so a customer wouldn't detect it on a test drive. While completing the paperwork, they told me they would take the car out back and service it. I assumed that meant top off fluids, do an oil change and other things that are customary when purchasing a used car from a reputable dealer. While getting ready to replace the coil and plugs on 4/17/2026 I noticed the anti-freeze was low and when checking the oil, it was just below the safe zone and looked black and sludgy. I have only put 2160 miles on this Jeep since I bought it because it is my secondary vehicle. I drive a Tesla daily. It would not use that much oil, nor would it look that bad. I had a 2012 Jeep with a V6 that had 260,000 miles on it that I sold in 2024 when buying the Tesla and it never used oil and never looked that black and sludgy. These guys never serviced the car and if I had driven it waiting for the mileage sensor to indicate the vehicle needed servicing, it could have seriously damaged the engine. Stay away from these guys or make sure you review your sales contract in detail and check to ensure they actually service the vehicle. I'm very upset with the after-the-sales experience, and I think they are fraudulent in their charges to customers.

After test driving my dream car, everything felt good and did my own inspection of possible issues. Nothing major (or so I thought). Bought the car that same day and literally starting to go to crap weeks later. Called the dealership and Spoke to Tony(the owner) and said that it was impossible, they did their own inspection of the car! I began to tell him that, the fuel pump failed won't start, the backup camera failed, the whole radiator cooling system was mounted incorrectly and was freely moving around causing damage to the AC compressor and serpentine belt, the rear differential had metal shavings in the diff fluid, and to top it off, the parking sensors weren't even the correct ones that belonged on the car! So no backup sensors! OVER $6,000 WORTH OF PARTS AND LABOR!! I towed the car in and said that he'll take care of it was covered under there 3 month warranty. After 9 days of waiting the car is ready to be picked up. They only fixed the fuel pump and pushed everything else to the side. I told Sims that the other stuff wasn't fixed and said that Tony didn't tell him about it. So I tried getting ahold of Tony ask why wasn't the things fixed as discussed and he would duck my phone calls or either be out and would call me back. Never called back. So Now I'm stuck with all the headaches. They may have nice cars but anyone can polish a turd. Avoid them like the plague.

Further, the service was about a trasmission issue I complained about while it was still under warranty. The service dept said at that time that there wasn't anything to do unless the transmission failed - which it had not. As it turns out, there was a TSB for this very issue I was not notified of that may correct the issue. Of course, Vernon Chevrolet said since it was no longer in warranty, the service would be at my expense. Stay clear of these shady, greedy crooks.

It's been a few months since then and over that time, my dad had been communicating over text and they've also for some reason emailed me to confirm details even though they supposedly updated the contact info to my father's and have stated that the refund deposit would be processed and would be mailed/made ready. It had been a while so I went back in person to try and receive my deposit back. Turns out I was only when I made the trip back to request for the deposit back they stated that their "AI SYSTEM" had been sending all of those responses the entire time and constantly cited their "no deposit back" policy. Keep in mind any other dealership whether it comes to sales or service will fully disclose that you will be talking to a bot. I've been to plenty of dealerships and this is the only one I've come across that doesn't disclose this crucial info. It won't sign in an email with the sales representative's name without following up that it's an automated response. While I was waiting, the salesman I've been dealing with the entire time had the gall to ask "well you use AI in your career field you understand don't you?" This comment irritated the hell out of me and in response I stated I'd never allow AI to make statements on my behalf or any work for that matter without supervision and my approval to send over. ESPECIALLY IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT BTW. So I waited over an hour to speak to the GM but I couldn't since he was busy. Not gonna waste time just to wait for a chance to speak to them about it so I left. I called a few days later to speak with the GM did the same thing cited the AI system excuse and no refund policy but they were communicating with the company that handles their AI system and would update me in about 2 weeks time. When I went in person and called it was early-mid July. It's currently August and nothing but crickets. It's not even about the deposit money atp it's the lack of accountability, general unprofessionalism, and wasted time spent dealing with them. The process was outlined and straight forward., No cost inspection performed by the dealership and financing options were laid out from different lenders at different rates and loan lengths.
