I dropped off my car at Firestone Store in Vernon on July 10 for an oil change and an inspection of…read morea suspected oil leak. When I left the vehicle, the touchscreen on the console was fully functional and had no cracks or damage. When I returned on July 12 to pick up my car, I immediately noticed that the touchscreen had been physically cracked. The damage was discovered while the vehicle was still at the Firestone location, and I reported it before accepting the vehicle back. The employee I spoke with was rude and dismissive, stating that Firestone was not responsible. Even claiming that no one touched the inside of the car at any time (even to move the car inside for work...) because the worked we requested was for other components. Because my concern was not taken seriously, I left the vehicle at the store and returned on Monday to speak with the store manager. I requested that any surveillance footage be reviewed to determine what happened, but I was told there were no cameras covering the whole Firestone area. To date, Firestone has provided no explanation for how the damage occurred and has not conducted any meaningful investigation while my vehicle was in its possession and control. My experience at Vernon Firestone has made me question whether VERNON FIRESTONE is worthy of customers' trust and whether vehicles are truly being handled with the care and respect they deserve. Protecting customers' property and addressing concerns responsibly are fundamental obligations of any service business!!!

I brought my car in to have struts replaced and the following day began hearing a lot of rattling…read more I brought it back for more work and was told that the rattling had nothing to do with the work they performed. When I came to pick up my car, it had a broken windshield. They denied responsibility so I called their corporate office and they had an inspector look at the vehicle. They found a broken bolt on the skid plate that was rattling and fixed that, but denied my claim and refused to fix my windshield. So, in sum, I brought my car in with an unbroken windshield, left with a broken windshield and a rattling skid plate, which continues to rattle, despite their broken bolt "fix". I would steer well clear of this joint.

I had a slow leak with one of my trailer tires, I had gone to Town Fair tire twice to fix and both…read moretime they replaced valve, and it still leaked. I bought new rim and tried to go to Firestone to swap tire, they said they won't mount tires unless they still have stickers on them even though my tire was a 2025. I went up to Meineke and they said no problem. They mounted tire on new rim and when I went to pickup they said to just give the tech $10 but if I didn't have cash to just take it. These guys were great to deal with, and most folks don't want to give you time of day for such a small job. I will give them a chance next time I need tires or something fixed, sometimes its the small things that matter.

0 stars!!! Went in for a tire rotation and oil change and will never go here again. I requested…read moreadditional work but was told it was not needed...thats fine. But to whip out of the parking lot and back in on a test drive that I did not authorize was not professional. Let along loungely driving with a hand out the window is not either. Took my car home and there is a large jagged gash on my sidewall of my tire. Spoke to the manager and owner who dismissed me. They offered to review footage of cameras but then refused when my husband wanted to watch the footage with them. They lie to make you quiet, they damage your property, and they do not take accountability. So an $88 visit now turned into a $1,000 tire change since my car is AWD. To top it off, they called the cops to remove my husband from the property but wouldn't just watch the footage. If that doesn't say guilty - I do not know what does! Not to mention Sue, and the manager Chris , and owner Stu are just downright disrespectful and condescending. Never again. Cops even said do not bring your car here.

So I got my notice to check emissions from my CT DMV…read more Went to the same place I always did (looks like ownership changed) Some crusty certified Emissions Tech takes my truck and runs the ODB2 check and it took a lot longer than expected. He comes back and says I failed because I dont have catalytic converters .... I thought this was a joke, however he was serious. At this point I am getting really pissed especially since the ODB2 passed but he failed me on the visual CAT check...? The funny part is that the same truck passed there 1 year ago .. I have a Kooks exhaust Green cats and headers i bought years ago and it wasnt a problem. He already put me in the system as compliance fail. I told him hes an idiot and went to another test station and they laughed and passed me with no problems. The shop was FarmCare in Rockville CT ....Stay away if anyone lives near by. The Subaru Dealer I went to had no issues. He also said I have fake cats and reprogrammed the ECU to pass emissions. This is either a way to force older vehicles off the street or just malicious behavior I am starting to hear more and more stories like this on the web....

Best in the state! Been going for years with my vehicles…read more Good people and solid work done. Of the many jobs done, my favorite was doing a whole engine for me on my 20 year old jeep I'm sentimental about. Gave a good price too. Has run like a dream for years with no issues. Better than I could've expected. Thanks!
