No communication about what needs to be repaired or how long or cost made an appointment June 19th by phone for July 8th drop off for the 9th service code b125 and also when I dropped off my car I wasn't aware of the steering wheel shaking problem until I drove it on i84 west because my granddaughter drives it 98% of the time to work school etc-called today around noon and still no answers about what needs to be done-cost or time frame-was told a lot of cars here!!!-sounds like over booking and poor customer care and service hopefully things will get resolved quickly and properly-still waiting for a call and it's almost 3pm July 9th 2024 read more

I've been taking my old truck here for a year now and they take amazing care of me, explain the entire process and even give recommendations that are kind to the pocketbook and help me prioritize repairs. Their service window is fast too, when you're able to get an appointment. Usually a week out has been the norm my last two times. But well worth the wait so long as it's not an emergency repair. My husband took his old 2000 Chevy Silverado truck to Moore this week. They kept truck for 3 days and did nothing but test drive it and run computer check without our permission. Charged almost $100. They said they'd call if there ended up being a charge. They never called. I think Moore should return our money. Beware of this place. read more

Excellent and trustworthy shop and dealership. They stand by the cars the sell and are honest about repairs. Previously I had a issue where my car stalled once. They told me they couldn't replicate the problem so rather than billing me for a bunch of repairs that might fix the problem they didn't and we did a wait and see. Problem never returned. I saved hundreds. They will also try to find cars for u at the auction if you don't see what you want on the lot. And I believe offer a year warranty on anything over $10,000. read more

Highly recommend this shop. I've had my car repaired here several times and been satisfied each time. I moved and started going somewhere closer to my home but will drive further to come back to Moore's the next time I need work done. While my car was broken down in a parking lot, I called Moore's Automotive because I had a good experience with them in the past. I am very sorry to report that my trust was misplaced. Aside from recommending a tow service that tried to scam me out of $120 cash (that is for another post not this one), I was told at the time of drop off that they wouldn't be able to get to it today. At the time that was fine and I told them as long as they could get to it Monday morning that would be fine. Monday came and I heard no word from the shop, called them at 12PM and they said they would get right to it. Guess what? THEY DIDN'T. I had to call again at 5PM just to find out it was still sitting there for an issue that I told them was occurring and only takes 1 hour to fix. On Tuesday, same thing, no word and no updates at all. I had to call the shop 2 more times to even get a valid response. I called the last time at 11:45 AM, and they called and told me it was done by 1PM. THEY DIAGNOSED AND REPLACED WHAT I TOLD THEM WAS ALREADY WRONG IN 1 HOUR. Why did I have to lose 2 days work? Why was I charged $200 for a part that only costs $100 (making it a total of almost $400 just for a STARTER)? On top of all this, when I tried to just get the service managers to show some humility and admit that the situation was poorly handled, all they could do was provide half-wit excuses and be smug. Fortunately I don't have to do much as far as auto repairs go since my father runs a shop in Long Island, the only problem is it's in Long Island. I had a flat tire and needed it changed, I was to provide the new tire and they would balance and mount for me. Moore's was super helpful getting me in and out in 45 minutes. Their waiting room has coloring books and crayons and toys for kids, and there guys didn't try upselling anything. They did what I requested and no more. My family has been buying used cars from Moore's for years, so when I was going to purchase my first self-owned car, it was an easy decision to go to there. I bought a 2013 RAV4 XLE from them about a month ago and the process was very easy. I traded in my old car (a family car purchased form Moore's as well) and they set up my new registration, etc, making the process simple for me. The quality and service from them is fantastic and even though I have moved away from the Vernon area, I still plan to bring my car back to them for any service needs. It's great to have trust in your auto shop and my entire family certainly trusts Moore's with all of our cars! read more

A bunch of crooks. Had my car towed there because it died on the street in the middle of winter. I told them exactly what was wrong with the car (no need to diagnose) and knew it would take less than an hour to do. But them wanting to steal peoples hard earned money decided to charge me $130 for a $30 part and 3 hours labor at about $90 for a 45 minute job. Definitely do not recommend them to even my enemies, and a heads up, the other reviews on here are probably someone at Moore's writing fake reviews. read more

Moores Automotive is far from experts when it comes to diagnosing a vehicle with a check engine light concern .They basically do not know what they are doing . They took advantage of my daughter and took a lot of money from her and the vehicle is still not fix right . The first repair was not performed properly to avoid the second repair . I would advise anyone with a check engine light to take their vehicle somewhere else . read more

We have been going to Moore's for cars and service for many years now-myself/my daughters/my parents. IF we even "shop" other places, we always come back to Moore's. The car buying process is low pressure and the cars are priced competitively. The selection of Toyotas and Lexus cars is always ample and both my mother and I recently bought vehicles and although the salespeople have changed (Rick has retired and Amy/Dave have picked up), the experience is top shelf. Paperwork is efficiently done, the car is well detailed when delivered and brought up to excellent standards prior to delivery. Service department is also very good-my daughter had competent help keeping her used Prius she bought at Moore's well maintained. Please continue to put in the effort to run a good used car dealership/auto shop....it shows! read more

I recently moved our business (5 vehicles) to Moore's after being with another shop for many years. I am extremely happy with their skill and professionalism. They went way overboard to fix a problem with my son's truck that had confounded the other shop, spending much more time on it than anyone else would have. We live in Colorado but my daughter is living in CT for the summer for her internship for college. Her car broke down in New Hampshire on Sunday. We got it towed back to Vernon Sunday night and based on the Yelp reviews we had the tow truck driver leave the car at Moore's. Monday morning I called them at 8am to find out how long it would take to repair as we knew what was most likely wrong with the car. I explained the situation to Tim that my daughter was there for the summer and that we live in Colorado. He told me to give him a 30-45 minutes to confirm the issue and that he would call me back. He called back ~40 minutes later and had the car fixed before 12noon at a very fair rate. Thank you for taking care of my daughter. read more

I could not be more appreciative of their honesty and service. When it was clear that my car was on its last legs and repairs would cost more than the car itself, they waived all fees even though they had spent the time diagnosing several issues and the car had been kept on their lot for a week! As a young woman who knows very little about cars, and who has realized after the fact on numerous occasions that I was taken advantage of by other dealerships and auto-shops, the honesty and kindness they show is so uplifting. I found them on yelp and although I don't use this app often I felt I had to pay it forward. They are efficient, helpful and can still make you feel taken care of and secure when your car (a huge investment) is causing major stress and worry. They also have a shuttle which I used a year ago, when another auto-shop put the wrong cap on my radiator, I don't remember her name but the woman who gave me a lift home was so sweet. Once of the worst experiences, brought it here based on two direct referrals and online reviews. Quick to diagnose that my older car needed a timing belt. Gave me a loaner - no gas - keys kept falling out of the ignition. Took car on Thursday - projected would be done Monday. No call or follow-up. Waited until 3pm on Monday to call, gave me an attitude: "SHOULD be done today" then hung up. Saw the mechanic testing my car 30 minutes before closing - I live up the road. Still no call. Decided to just show up near closing time, along with 6 other people, apparently they just expect customers to show up eventually to pick up their cars? I suppose this way they can give you your keys, take your money and then close the shop. This works well when the car isn't fixed correctly, like mine wasn't - car was bucking and lurching between certain gears. I called the next day - more attitude - tried to blame the issue on the car's adaptive transmission. I told them this isn't the first timing belt in the car and it had no issues last time. They told me to keep it for a few days and call back. It got worse, I called my retired mechanic and he confirmed it sounded like a botched job, stop driving it and bring it back to Moore's. After arguing with them they finally took it back, no loaner this time, had it for 2 days, no calls or follow-up. Finally gave it back - miraculously it was running fine this time. No apologies or offers to give me a partial refund. I don't do business with liars. read more
