Still 5 Stars! I was really surprised when I dropped my car off for service yesterday, checked-in…read moreon Yelp and saw that Bertera still only has an average of 2 stars. Here's why I think their service is fantastic: It's EASY to schedule a service appointment on their website. On a Friday morning, scheduling something for the following Monday, there were scads of slots open. I arrived at 7am and the service bays were hopping!! They go over what they need to before you leave (or wait, in the waiting room). Within an hour of dropping my car off they sent me a video of MY CAR, underneath and under the hood, explaining "brakes look great, this looks great, that looks great.". They were fixing a number of check-engine lights that had come on and I didn't have to call to check on the car. They kept me well informed via text and pick up was a snap. Bertera has easily replaced my previous Subaru dealership in terms of earning my loyalty.

Horrible Dealership- Avoid at all cost…read more I purchased my Subaru from Bertera and have had the vast majority of service performed there over the years. Unfortunately, when a serious issue arose, the dealership completely failed to stand behind the customer relationship. My Subaru's STARLINK radio unit failed, a well-documented issue that was the subject of a class action lawsuit and warranty extension. The radio had already been replaced once under warranty with the same unit. When it failed again, Bertera quoted $2,200 to replace it with the exact same component again. During the process I was told Subaru of America had never been involved with my vehicle, which turned out to be incorrect. Subaru's own records later showed three goodwill repairs totaling $1,752.73 connected to my vehicle. Instead of addressing the misinformation or helping resolve the situation, the dealership simply passed responsibility elsewhere and ultimately refused any assistance. I ended up repairing the radio myself through an independent electronics specialist for about one-third of the price. After years of loyalty as a customer, the takeaway was clear: once a problem falls outside their narrow policies, Bertera Subaru has no interest in helping. Very disappointing experience.

"They're over-priced!", "Aggressive up-sells and fear tactics", blah blah blah... in this case, it is absolutely true. Went in for a safety recall a few months back, and immediately the up-sells start: timing belt, valve adjustment, brakes/rotors, everything under the sun. I said no, just do the recall. Then, the phone calls and inspection videos start. "You really need this, you really need that", with price estimates that would literally make your eyes water, well over the actual value of the entire vehicle. So, cut to the end of this encounter, only safety recall was done, but I agreed the timing belt/water pump needed to be done, but I would get it done elsewhere (and at 1/4 of the price they quoted me, no less) Fast forward to this week, I'm working under my truck, and I see the rear rockers are basically rotted away (only the rear section, an issue pertaining to the safety recall) I call back the dealership, spoke to the original gentleman that set me up with the recall, explain everything, and he tells me to book an appt. (which I did) so they can look at it. My appt. was for this morning. I get there, pull in, and of course the gentleman I was dealing with is "absent" today. The girl asked me "So, what are you here for???", and I tell her the details. She basically says, "Hey, there's nothing we can do with it, we won't even look at it" I explained this was an issue caused by the safety recall issue, rear rocker rot, and the gentleman told me to bring it in, you would look at it, "Oh. No. I don't know why he would tell you that. He's a newbie. You need to call so-and-so, and work that out with them" (he's a newbie?...but, he was there 8mo ago, and I assume longer as he was knowledgeable about their systems, had a desk, etc.? Ok, passing the buck...got it) ...would have been nice if they just tell me that over the phone before. So, of course I'm frustrated, but I'm there, I figure I would ask for a quote on a "valve adjustment" and for installing "shocks and struts" that I purchased myself. Again, an exuberant price, I just laughed at her, shake my head noooo, and left. I get home, and call the number of the main corporation, that she told me to "deal with". They ask if I had it looked at by the dealership. I told them what I'm telling you now, "They turned me away and cancelled my appointment". They seem concerned that they wouldn't even look at it. They want all her information from me, which I give them, and assign me a case "liaison" to deal with... so, cut-to-the-chase, the bottom-line is, if it affects Liberty Hondas "bottom-line", they won't even deal with you... I had to go above them, directly to corporate. I took the day off work to keep this appointment, out of concern for the safety of my wife and son, and they wouldn't even look at it... basically, driving in the service center, and directly out the other side. Extremely frustrating encounter, that has definitely left a sour taste in my mouth for Honda in the future. Maybe I'll take a look at some Toyotas... hmm...

His customer service is top-tier, and he always makes bringing my car in, whether for standard service, or in this case new wheels and an oil change, easy and stress-free. The rest of the team is just as impressive. The shuttle drivers are always prompt and friendly, the technicians do excellent work, and the general staff is always welcoming and ready to help. It's clear that customer service is a top priority here and management should be proud of themselves. Thank you all for making a visit to the dealership bearable, and dare I say, enjoyable!

In 2026 I finally got an engine check light. It took me less than a minute to read the error code with my OBD II tester and determine that I needed a new O2 sensor. I brought my car in and gave the advisor the error code and told him that the O2 sensor needed replacing. About two hours later he told me that the problem was diagnosed and the charge was $228. If I wanted it fixed it would be another another charge. The advisor said that I didn't have service coverage since I bought the car at Lynch Motors, which was not true. (I had recently taken my car to Lynch to have my transmission fluid changed and they placed a license plate holder with their name on it that I didn't notice.) The service manager said that my warranty had expired because it was only good for five years or 75,000 miles which is not was what was told to me when I bought the car. Being charged $228 to "diagnose" a problem that I told them was the problem and took only a minute to diagnose is a HUGE ripoff. Including the cost of supposed service contract, I figure that I've ben ripped off for $1,293. By the way, I had absolutely no problem with Lunch Motors. They were great.
