"All that glitters isn't gold." I am writing this in the hopes that someone else sees it before they are as foolish as I was. In 2023, I found a 2016 Subaru Outback on the Balise website. Despite the two-hour drive, I felt confident purchasing from a "high-end" dealership, believing I was getting a safe, practical vehicle. With taxes and interest, the total came to approximately $25,000. Within just a few months, the car entered a continuous cycle of issues, most notably a disappearing oil supply that required constant top-offs. After spending $10,000 on repairs between a local mechanic and the Subaru dealership in Pittsfield (who I also consider a scam for leading me on with "remedies" that didn't work), it was finally deemed that the engine needed a full replacement. When I brought the car back to Balise Lexus, the experience was insulting: They wanted to charge me thousands just to pull the engine to "diagnose" what we already knew. Later, they charged me $200 to find a leak, then asked for another $200 for a diagnostic that should have been included in the first fee. They eventually quoted over $4,000 for work under the car. When I asked the Sales Manager about a trade-in since they sold me a car that clearly wasn't in working order, he was incredibly rude to my partner and me. It felt as though he was implying that because we weren't driving a Lexus, we weren't worth their time. We were talked down to as if we were a burden for asking how a car could fail so spectacularly in such a short time. The "high-end" name is an absolute illusion. They do not offer high-end service, and they certainly don't offer high-end solutions. As a single mother at the time, I didn't realize I should have bought an extended warranty, but I expected a baseline of integrity from a dealership like this. They offered me $3,000 for a car they sold me for $25,000 only two years ago, a car I've put an additional $10k into. I wasn't asking for a free car; I was asking them to take some responsibility for the POS they sold me, whether through a repair discount or a fair trade-in value. Instead, they offered me 50% less than what other dealerships have since offered for the trade. Shame on you, Balise Lexus. You sold me a lemon and treated me like a nuisance when I asked you to make it right. read more

I purchased a RX350 in 2017. Had the vehicle serviced at Balise. For seven years the battery was good and not a problem. January of 2025 the battery was failing and I went to Balise for a new Battery. Fast forward to December 2, 2025 and the new battery failed. I had to get a jump start during a snow storm which was very inconvenient. I was able to get the vehicle to Balise and they refused to replace the battery that failed after 10 months. They claimed that the battery just needed a charge. My claim is that the original battery lasted seven years without a problem and the "supposed new" battery they installed only lasted 10 months. They offered no compensation and now I am stuck with a battery that can fail at random. Additionally, they insult your intelligence by blaming the problem you. read more

Made an appointment to see a Lexus that they confirmed was in stock. Drove to the appointment from another state and was told that it was being shipped from Wisconsin. Waste of my time and gas. The proceeded to get a lowball offer on my trade in. It was the lowest of all the dealers I went to by $2-4k. The sales person seemed to be nice though. Others were shady, just to get you in the dealership. read more

Don't do business with Balise! Recently my 2022 RX350 went in for 15k service. They gave me a loner car & the tire went flat. They charged me ~$500 to replace the tire! They even charged me labor! Despite the fact that Balise is a clear 36 miles out of my way (from my dad's in CT) -- and the fact that I purchased and have serviced my car for the last year & change at Hoffman in East Hartford -- I will now be crossing state lines into MA for future services on my '10 IS350. Their coupon is what brought me there - and I'm well aware that their intentions were to convert other Hoffman loyalists. But hey, what a deal. Bringing in a new, unwrapped toy (for toys for tots) valued at $15 or more (I brought in a $30 something RC car that has the slim body and wheels big enough so that it can drive upside down - something I would want if I was a kid) gave me, at no cost: - Complete Winterization ($90) - Full Interior / Exterior Detail ($169) - Loaner for the day ($ money) I usually associate the Springfield / Holyoke area with phrases like "don't want to go there" and "the bus station is sketchy" and "is it time for the big E already?" but Balise is located on a relatively nice stretch of road, pretty close to the Holyoke Mall. The size is nearly that of Sewell Lexus in Dallas (massive) and they are clearly more aptly staffed than Hoffman. My service guy was Joe, and he took great care of me, despite the fact that I was getting everything done for the price of...on the house. On top of everything I was getting done, he asked if there was anything else I needed - so I challenged him to get rid of this annoying dashboard squeak that Hoffman was unable to fix even after three tries. Also, I need a new front tire, as it is the only one with all 41,400 original miles on it. Tire - ordered. Price - cheaper than tirerack. Squeak? Gone. They took apart my dashboard and re-felted a bunch of squeak-prone areas. It took an extra day, but I had a loaner, so I didn't really care. In the process, Joe called me several times to update me on everything - which I really did appreciate. As far as purchasing a new car there, it seems like they have a lot of inventory (I saw several 350's on the lot, Hoffman had to order mine since they didn't regularly stock the RWD guy) and everyone I met there was extremely pleasant. It's also important to me that my car hangs out indoors as much as possible - and their service bay is oversized to the point where they can safely park 12+ cars and still have room to move others in and out of service. I don't think mine ever went outside after I dropped it off. So, they sold me. Nice people, great service, and it seems like they really like keeping their customers happy. I am going back today to get the tire put on (they had to order it) and have no issue that this event will be no less than 70 miles roundtrip. I believe I will take this opportunity to pack my gym bag and check out the Springfield LA Fitness that now resides in the old basketball hall of fame. read more

Exceptional service from very qualified and experienced mechanics who have been with the company for a long time. Proof of stability and consistency of work. They pamper customers with free amenities such as a well stocked food bar complete with sandwiches/ pastries and hot or cold beverages. They're never stingy with providing you with a loaner car if need arises or a courtesy van for drop off / pick up while your car is being serviced . The staff is always courteous and respectful and the customer service personnel have their own offices for privacy . The outside bay where one drives thru and parks the car inside can accommodate a lot of cars in one time is very state of the art . read more

I purchased a 2016 Ford Mustang from the folks at Belise Lexus 2 weeks ago. She was there as she was a trade in with less than 9000 miles on her. My sales person was Barbara Spear who was very friendly and kept me in the loop as to requirements to get registration and purchase done in Mass ( I drove in from CT) I paid what they were asking for the vehicle as I had already done my homework on the value of the vehicle and their price was spot on. The business manager who we saw was Bill Gryszkiewicz who was friendly and on-point with documents (no mysterious charges here) and didn't try to hard sell us on any add ons or extras. Great job folks...I even got a small check back in the mail as there was an overage on the reg fees.....which I never would have even know about . Kudos! read more

I went in for my 10k factory check up. Luckily the 10k checkup is complementary, so the service was free. The guy who did our service was very efficient and got us in and out fast. The waiting area has some donuts, snacks, soda, and coffee. There's also some computers and TVs for entertainment. I love that the car service guys have their own office. It's a nice touch. Possibly the nicest service I've had ever. Every service comes with a free car wash. (Which they did a fantastic job on...my car was sparkling clean- it almost looked waxed!) read more

He took us to the last cabin behind where Aleesha & Edwin seats. I dont remember the gentleman's name but i believe it was Bill. Whoever sat at the last cabin behind Edwin on 12/31 morning - stay away from him. HE IS A VERY CONDESCENDING RUDE MAN WHO DOESNT KNOW HOW TO TALK In the beginning he was trying 2sell us extra packages. We said no. He said "what didnt u like in d package" Well then i thght okay lets understand wht d package is about. Now i already had an experience of leasing b4. I asked him d part number & i can c how much it costs outside & how much is d package for and then it will make sense to us if its worth buying. To this he said one tire will cost $1000. He can get us the cost from parts department. I said okay. When he got the cost it was $500. Mind you all this time he was talking very rudely. I only have one thing to say, ZERO customer service! We were ready to buy a used Lexus, w/very minor damage, and the salespeople would not budge on the price, never asked us how they could help us get into that car, never asked if we were there because of just that car, or even asked any questions to see if they could assist with anything! Short of finding the keys and putting plastic covers on the seats for a test drive the salesman was useless. When asked to discuss with a manager still only got a hard NO without asking any other questions. We may have bought new if the incentives were good enough - but no one ever asked, we were not locked into to anything going in. They lost our business! I went to this dealer to purchase a car I found on line. It was most of what I wanted and I was willing to look at it and possibly purchase today. My trade in is fully loaded with low mileage and has a NADA value of over $7,000 retail price, plus trade in value of more than $5,000. They offered me $1,000 for my trade. I put more in the tires and brakes in the past year. I can't think of an option my car doesn't have. I went to Bertera down the street and they offered me $5,400 for the same car that Belise only wanted to give me $1,000 for. No thank you. You can get rich off of someone else. If you want to insult your customers, don't make me wait an hour to do it. This is my first time in this dealer and it will certainly be my last. read more

After comparing estimates, Balise's repair costs were much lower than the smaller shop I went to because they did not quote me on unnecessary work. Last year July I bought a used BMW X5 form this dealer. I saw this vehicle at cars.com and I love it. I call the dealership and the call was transfer to a female sales personal. I gave her a deposit on the phone. I finally went to see what I am paying for, there was a lot of problems with the vehicle that I asked to speak to someone about these issues. My cousin and I were treated with disrespectful and it was not pretty at all. I still went ahead and bought the vehicle because of the price. Since then I have had my vehicle in the shop almost every month with problems. After eight of the purchase I still have problem with the vehicle. My husband and I recently purchased our first Lexus from Balise Lexus and had an excellent experience. We have been to several other dealerships in the past for new and used cars and SUV's and it has always been a stressful experience. I was honestly not looking forward to going there but I really wanted to look at and test drive a new Lexus ES350. We were immediately greated by Barbara Spear who was so pleasant and easy to work with. No pressure, no hassling at all. We test drove an ES350 and fell in love. We were offered a competitive lease rate and a great trade in value for my husbands old car and the deal was finalized within minutes. We came back a few days later to meet with Barbara again and finalize the transaction. We had another very pleasant experience with Bill Gryszkiewicz, the Business Manager, whom with sat with to sign the paperwork. He explained everything to us in regards to the lease we signed and happily answered any questions we had. We then were taken through a tutorial with another young lady that showed us how to use the amazing features and options that the vehicle has. She was very patient and thorough making sure we understood one feature before she moved on to the next.
