Do not take your vehicle here for work unless you want substandard quality. My original start date was pushed back do miscommunication about a required deposit. I needed my doors replaced on my truck, they were supposed to have 4 doors ready to come in, then were unavailable. I had to source out my own doors and they wouldn't give me a break because I had to spend my personal time and 1/2 a day to acquire them and come home. When I dropped off my truck finally to them, it sat outside during rain and snow for 2 weeks till the doors were supposedly prepped before working on any part of the truck. I even gave them another advancement as the work started as a sign of good faith. I stopped in periodically to check on the truck and pick up my original doors and if any problems needed to be addressed and a change in the bill. I made my intentions about the project from the very start and my expectations. The girl originally stated in the beginning the project would take 2 weeks total. About the 3rd week of the next month I was told my truck was ready. Upon inspection there was several deficiencies that were visible. They painted wrong hinges, didn't paint my upper bumper trim, cut the door molding off at the door which I had supplied, and left a knife gouge on my lower passenger door. I refused the work, made them repaid everything and gave them 1 week to do so. After 1 week I picked it up on a rainy/cloudy day, was told to look it over and get back if any other problems. After getting some time I went back through the truck, the inside of all 4 of my doors needed to be redone. Scratches on the inside from reassembly, orange peel on another, and a paint run on the outside. Their workers broke my ambient temp sensor and never said anything about it and tried hiding the wire behind a bracket. In going back for the second time the drivers door had to be readjusted because wind noise from the door not locking onto the door striker. One passenger door was higher than another door. Another door could about see the inside edge of a door on the other side sitting in the drivers seat. This took a whole month to fix. The hood had to be readjusted because it didn't line up. Picking it up, the bezel trim on the inside of the drivers door was loose, a retaining tab had been broken and never mentioned till I questioned someone about it. They did buy the new parts to replace, but expected better. I also had an engine light on when picking it up, but no explanation as to why. So I was inconvenienced in taking it to a shop to get check and going in to have repaired. When my side molding had to be recut, an adhesive was put on to paste it back on, now it's coming off the truck. The gap between the passenger door and fender is off. I had it with these people and not going back for these little things. Over 2 months to try and get my truck right is too much time. So beware people, very sloppy work, no quality and control be any means. I estimated they had to eat close to $3,000 to redo my truck. Eric is excellent to work with! Honestly, he didn't even get a job out of car. My car was in an accident and I had it towed to A J's Auto Body because of the great reviews. Eric advised me through the entire process dealing with the insurance company. After I got a settlement from the insurance, he told me what to do and I was able to get a larger settlement. The car was deemed totaled, so Eric didn't even get a job or make ay money off of my car, but he still put a lot of time into me I would highly recomend A J's Auto Body. read more

I drop my car off to get repaired and it took about a month to get it back. When I did get it back there were items broken that were not when I drop it off. In speaking with AJ's I was told it was not due to the accident. This included not only mechanical issues, but also interior. AJ's stated a third party did the mechanical work and that is what they were told, so who's responsible? Also, the interior piece was not broken when they received it and it was when they returned it to me. Another $400.00 to repair what AJ's was responsible to repaired. I would not recommend this autobody shop. read more

The lady in the office told me to pick up my truck after 2:30. I show up at 3 and no one was on the office. I called and the owner picked up and I told him I was up front to pick up my truck. Five minutes later he comes in and said the office lady stepped out and he doesn't take payment. You don't take payments at your own business? I had somewhere to be and it was time sensitive. I waited and paid by check when the lady got back. On my way home I get a call from him saying I didn't pay. I was driving so this was on my voicemail. Do NOT take your car here. I (unfortunately) took my car here to have it repaired and painted after an accident. Al, the owner, ended up having the car painted without painting any sample panels to have me approve the color. It turned out to be the wrong color and he made every excuse in the book on how the lights in the shop made it look different, and the original color faded over time, and every other BS excuse you could think of so that he wouldn't have to repaint it. When he realized I wasn't happy with the color and I made every attempt to have him make it right, he would avoid my phone calls and emails. I would call almost every day and he was always mysteriously "busy" or "out for the day". I would send him emails with a list of questions and on the rare occasion when he would reply, it would be 1 or 2 sentences IN ALL CAPS (for some reason) and did not answer a majority of my questions. When I ended up taking my car to a reputable shop who worked with me to get the color perfect, they told me that his shop had used a ton of mismatched hardware, spacers, and tons of washers just to slap the car together and get it out the door. They also ended up reinstalling broken parts on the car when I had provided brand new replacement parts. The new shop had to completely redo all the work that Al's shop did. Bottom line is that they only care about money and getting the car out the door as fast as possible. Horrible communication, terrible customer service/communication, and awful workmanship. DO NOT take your car here if you care about it. read more

I went to AJ'S Auto body at the recommendation of another body shop in the area. It was at AJ'S I met Al & Mike(owners). I talked to Al about doing a frame off restoration on my 1970 Chevelle Convertible and told him I don't have Barrett-Jackson money, but would like to do the car anyways, he agreed and they got to work. Al & Mike were more than accommodating, allowing me to come to the shop anytime I wanted and talk to the guys and see how everything was going. Mike put in so many hours prepping the car I thought I was going to put him into early retirement, sanding, re-sanding, and sanding again & Al the same with the paint process. When I finally saw the car all finished I really didn't believe my eyes, the car was better than Barrett-Jackson, NO KIDDING, 2 years & over 2K miles later this car looks exactly the same it did the day I picked it up, hands down these guys are THE BEST, NO QUESTIONS. Everywhere I go people stop me to take photos of the car & at EVERY show people ask me where I had the car done, and I tell them with pride AJ'S Auto Body.
