I purchased an accord our right 22k cash in 2024. The sales man for sure knew that car wasn't a lemon. I then have had the car issues started accuring almost 8-9 months with having the car with mis firing . Brought the car to be diagnosed nothing was found . Brought it again as issue was happening again on and off. they then stated i needed fuel injectors spark plugs , fluid flushes $2800 to fix , fixed the misfiring for a couple months maintenance has been kept up with the car religiously. 2 months later car is misfiring Brought it in to be diagnosed again , "master Techs" stated needs head gasket , cool this was brought to the advisors several times I needed a new gasket but refused to listen. They replaced the head gasket. I pick the car up a week later . Same day as pick up not even 10 miles down the road car misfires and goes into limp Mode & check engine light Is on. Brought it back same day .. Now their recommending a whole new engine but can't help me because car is out of warranty ... I've had nothing but bad experience with Honda since owning this accord. I have been a loyal Honda owner since I was 19 years old. & this is the most upsetting service I have had. read more

Updated review: New building, horrible service. Took my car in for a recall. Paperwork says 15 min estimate to complete, called to make appointment and was told 1-1.5 hours in reality (not a problem). Bring the car in the next day, was asked if I got a ride to go home because it would take 3-4 hours to complete. Service has been going downhill over the years with consistently inaccurate time estimates and staff who are curt, unfriendly and unapologetic. Previously my car was in for days for an A/C repair and I came in to get my car because I was told it would be ready the next morning, but it wasn't ready because the mechanic working on it went home sick the day before - again not a problem, but they didn't call me with an update that the car wouldn't be ready. read more

From service to sales this place is awful. My wife purchased a pilot from here a few years back and their service department has been nothing but problematic. Poor communication, not helpful, rude, and unresponsive. Despite this, recently I visited to try to purchase a new vehicle for myself. Having purchased my wife's vehicle their in the past, I hoped they would work with me on the price and I'd service my car elsewhere. Nope! You can literally google a vehicle and see advertised prices at local dealerships (ie Honda pilot touring). Balise was unwilling to come close to matching prices for the same exact vehicle being advertised at other nearby dealers. They even went as far as to try to tell me that the advertised prices were made up and not going to be honored if I went to purchase elsewhere. Well..... the prices were honored at the advertised dealership and I saved nearly $3000 on the exact same vehicle, model, and trim that I was trying to buy from balise. Save your money and buy elsewhere. Only shop Balise Honda if you love overpaying and want dismal service when your car does need servicing. read more

I dealt with an unbelievably rude woman answering the phone in the service department today who refused to give me the radio code for my son's car; all they need is the VIN and the serial number from the glove compartment. She insisted that I had to come into the dealership for it when that is not the case. Luckily, I was able to find it online - if you ever find yourself in this situation, just go to https://mygarage.honda.com/s/radio-nav-code instead of trying to deal with Balise. She then cut me off as I tried to ask about getting recall work done, saying that Experian AutoCheck report "won't show you that information" (that your vehicle needs recall service, specified by VIN) when it most certainly does - I was looking at it while I spoke to her. Finally, she hung up on me as soon as I said "ok, thank you" after she'd snapped at me several times. YIKES, and no thank you. If that's what you have answering the phones, I can only imagine how people are treated in person! read more

I had a 2015 Honda Pilot that I absolutely loved and unfortunately was recently rear ended badly, and my car was declared a total loss. I was so bummed, but then saw another 2015 Pilot was available at Honda Balise! I am always reluctant to deal with salespeople though, particularly after a bad experience with one, but I was so pleasantly surprised to have met Arsen Javadian at Balise Honda! He was just the best, is a straight shooter, and is actually honest, which I feel can be hard to find in the sales world. He worked hard to accommodate my maintenance requests and secure this vehicle for me, and communicated clearly with me every step of the way. Out of the six Honda dealerships I contacted through email, edmunds.com, or honda.com, Balise Honda was one of the most responsive and willing to deal through email. I wanted to get most of the negotiations done by having the dealers compete for my business through email because I was in California helping my friend negotiate the price of a 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L 4WD with Navigation. She wanted white exterior and most dealerships did not have this color in stock. I found that kbb.com, edmunds.com, truecar.com, and finally costco.com were all very helpful in getting the best pricing. Balise didn't initially give me the best pricing, but slowly I worked on them and they finally gave me the best price. I initially got more responses and better pricing BEFORE the huge Tsunami hit Japan, but even with inventory levels down, I got a great price, but it took longer to achieve. Two dealers even said they couldn't beat the price I got!!! Balise didn't have the Pilot that we wanted, so we had to put a $500 deposit down and they found the car and brought it to their dealership within five days (not business days). had my 2020 CRV towed in for a battery issue . while I was at work they called my wife and asked if she wanted a diagnostic . she does not know and said yes this was just before they closed but vehicle not scheduled to be looked at till the next day . I called at 7 pm and left deatailed instruction to not do anything that would be charged until she called me back . I again called left messages at 7 ,8 and finally got the service person who said car had not been brought in yet and would have Katie call me . she never did and then called my wife at 2 to say it was the battery which they replaced under warentee one year and six months prior . She told my wife that be use she talked to her and authorized the diagnostic she would have to pay and that because the battery was replaced under warentee that we would have to now pay as there is no warentee unless we actually had paid for it and would be another 390.00 so all told about 600 for a battery . she also says they you have to drive the car every 3-5 days I pointed out that what if we went away and and left our car at the airport for a week which is common she stated they expect the car to be dead. I also called Honda corporate and they stated that they have to do a diagnostic on every vehicle and we should have been told first to determine the issue but all they could do was file a complaint . The worst customer service at a dealership ever. When we walked in, it took 5 minutes for anyone to come over to us, with sales reps who were clearly not helping anyone. When someone finally came over and we said we were looking for a CR-V, possibly a hybrid, another rep solved his eyes and made a face. We had seen a htbrid model on the website, and they asked what the number was- I didn't have that info and we asked if they could look it up, rather than us using our phones. After a heavy sigh, they went over to a computer. The inventory wasn't available. They didn't offer to show us anything else, barely made any effort, and we left. Horrible experience with Balise Honda repair department..I brought in my car for a repair, and they have me a quote of 400.- for the repair, then a day later they called me and, they told me it would be 600.- more then their quote. I told them that I just need my car back because I couldn't pay that much more..so they told me it would be 400 instead of 800, so I agreed to the 400 increase..but when I went to pick it up, they increased it to 600!! OMG what a bunch of unprofessional people (was talking to a kid named Hailey)..she kept apologizing but, that does't fix the issue..why do they put a kid talking to customers?? I very much regret going there, and will never return. This upsets me because I always thought going to the Dealer was more reputable than other places..I learned my lesson-Don't go there.. read more

Their mechanics suck, I had a problem with my brakes they installed and when I went back for them to address it, they told me that they couldn't find the problem. So I suggested a test ride with the service mechanic and they said "due to covid 19 restrictions they can't". I went through this 5 times until I found another private mechanic that fixed the problem, it was a rotor issue, no more NOISE!! I'm done with Balise Honda, I found another shop who CARES about their customers,I have been with them for the last 11 months and EVERYTIME I had any type of issue..THEY HANDLED IT, the car rides like new! I went there today at 9am, there was not one single person on the floor, including the front desk. I purchased a new 2022 Honda Passport Elite in May and had a very poor experience. From wax in numerous places at delivery time to the wireless charger not working at all. The delivery booklet last page for get ready nothing was done on page 10. Oh and when you call the dealer and ask if you can buy that honda at sticker price and they say yes you can, and you go into the dealer expect them to tell you that they did not know that there was already 1800.00 worth of dealer installed accessories on the car. The Bad Brought our car in for service...came out with damage to the body, all while under their care. Of course no accountability on their part at all. The vehicle had with brakes and rotors a month old, after this weeks service the car brakes were screeching horribly after they repaired something else. Service rep states the service facility that put in the new brakes installed bad pads. Well for the month the car had the new brakes they were working 100% fine. The Good - the service team is great at pointing fingers at others including the customer and covering their Assets!. Not recommended - do not go for service even with the first responder discount. read more

We tried buying a car from here...very strange dealings. We found a brand new Honda Odyssey we wanted and I asked the salesman what the "Balise" price was because online it said to ask. He said he would take 4K off of sticker so we went inside to talk numbers and when he brought the paper over they only took 1500 off? So I asked him what happened to the 4K and he said this was his starting point? After a bunch of number games back and forth we finally came to an agreement on the final price but the monthly numbers he presented didn't make sense to me as I know what prices produce what monthly numbers. Long story short the salesman was short with us and rolling his eyes at us so we decided to move on and went to curry Honda and got the SAME EXACT VEHICLE with the correct monthly payments. My elderly mother has a Honda I've had serviced at Balise. Most recently (3days ago), an issue occurred where the car died and with a battery that's less than a year old. The car was towed to Balise and the next day, my elderly mother was told that the battery was changed and she was good to go. The car died in less than 24 hours and had to be towed to Balise AGAIN at closing time on Thursday, 5/5/23. We were assured that the alternator was not the issue from the DAY before because it had been checked. They assured us multiple times that the mechanics checked "everything". Ok, I've never been a mechanic, but I trust that any mechanic with the baseline level of competence, will ensure the alternator is in working condition if the battery is drained. Just received a call today, 5/6/23, the alternator is the problem. YOU DON'T SAY??? Imagine my amazement that an alternator is the issue. This business needs to be reported. They take advantage of people and it's not ok. I am most disappointed in the fact that I'll no longer be able to trust the services from this business. It was very convenient, and I have no issue paying a premium for service that is in-line. Unfortunately, this business needs a better Quality Assurance process, and training for their mechanics. It's unacceptable to not be able to perform the MOST BASIC tasks, and then have individuals in the organization lie about what they've done. It's a shame because there customer service dept is great, but nothing makes up for poor service and business practices. Now I have to contact all the pertinent agencies to ensure that these poor practices are documented. read more

Had appointment on 4/9 to have a cargo net installed. I had already purchased the net from their parts department prior to visit. I was told bring the car in for 9:40 am. I was a bit early. The gentleman that checked me in was nice and said "it's an easy job, pop the trunk and I'll take a look". Nope he said it would need to go to a tech. I figured that after watching the videos on line if I wanted to do it myself even before I bought the part. I could have bought the net on line for about half the price. I don't remember the name of gentleman in the service department I spoke to on 2/5 when I ordered the net, he said installation is about 30 dollars. I checked on this before even buying the net. Today I was told it should be about an hour wait and it's was around 180.00. I told her I already had the net and it was in the car on the passenger seat. .. Really 117.00 even after I had the net?? I said go ahead. I don't have the proper tools for the job, so I waited. I watched my car sit where they pulled it in and waited. The girl, Katie, came out a bit later and said she could knock it down to 78.00.. Fine.. And the car sat there. About an hour later about 10:35, someone got in and drove it around the corner where I could not see it anymore. Good it's finally getting worked on. It was about 20 minutes later maybe a bit less and the car was done.. At the original quoted price of 117 for labor, in an hours time they could install at least 3 nets making the labor rate 351.00 an hour. Even at my reduced rate of 78.00 that would be 234.00 an hour. My question is what is your actual labor rate and if a job takes less than an hour do you still get charged for the full hour ?? I probably could have had my auto body friends install this net cheaper. I still might give you another chance to redeem yourself. I had asked the parts department on the price for a spoiler for the car but I would hate to think what that install cost would be. read more

First off Balise honda doesn't even deserve a star. Literally service/parts is a complete mess. I went in for a oil change on May 23rd of this year, more than happy to go and take advantage of the promotion for healthcare workers which was 50% off. Get my oil change in a decent time, came back to pay where I was told I would need tires soon, purchased 4 tires from the pushy service member but didn't not get them installed due to the tires not being in house. Later that day I get home and speak with my husband so we decided I could wait until winter since tires still having tread. Call back Balise that Monday to let them know I would like to cancel my order. Guy seemed annoyed I was changing my mind and was told I needed to come back to the service to provide them a receipt even though that's on file(annoying). I go back same service member who "rang me up" on the 23rd was there so I dealt with him. Between him and some guy in a office by the service area stated I would receive my $400 refund in 4-6 weeks due to Covid. Totally understand since Covid, but here we are almost 14 weeks later and still nothing. Called and spoke with a Mike last week he had trouble locating the refund request, stated he would call me back with the status. AND yet again no call back. Talk about a lack of organization or communication at this place. Save yourself a headache and money and go else where. read more

The previous week, I took a test drive, put a deposit down and told them I'd be back in a week with a check for the rest of the balance. While I was at the bank getting the check the following week, the dealership calls me to confirm that I'm coming in to pick up the car. I say that I am and I'll be there around 11 AM (it's 9:30 AM at this point). They say they'll get the car ready for when I arrive. True to my word, I show up at 11 and I hand the check over and the customer service guy's like "Great. We're still putting the final touches on the car so it'll be a few minutes". No problem...so I thought. At around 1 PM, the guy finally comes back out and says, "The car's all set...but we can't inspect it because we need your insurance company to fax over some papers and our inspection bay closes at 1:15 PM, but you can go somewhere else and get it inspected and we'll reimburse you". I was mad but I said, "If I can get them to fax the papers to you right now, can you inspect it?". He agreed but couldn't make any promises. I spent the next half hour on the phone with the insurance company and they did eventually fax the paperwork over and they agreed to inspect the car. You'd think that they'd bump my car to the front of the line since I've already paid for the car and they supposedly are holding the bay open past when it's supposed to close for my car. But no. It took another hour and a half for them to inspect it. Finally at a little after 3 PM, the guy comes out and gives me the paperwork and key fob. At this point, I just wanted to get out of there...and, as I got a little ways down the road, I realized that the inspection sticker had a big "R" on it...it had been rejected. So I pull over into a gas station and read the inspection report. The car had failed the emissions test. I called the dealer and said "What the heck!?" and they're like "Well, if a car hasn't been driven regularly for a while, it will mess with the computer and tell it the emissions are out of spec. If you drive it around regularly for a while it will go away. You'll have to get it inspected again". I couldn't believe it. I wasted most of my day at the dealership when they knew a week ago that I was coming, with cash, to pick up the car. They obviously did nothing to the car during the week to get it ready for today. That's just...I don't know what to say. I was expecting to spend like maybe an hour there tops for paperwork to go through and I ended up spending 4 hours there. The price was good. The car is great (outside of the emissions issue they should have fixed). But their service was terrible. read more

I opted not to buy my car at Balise due to unsatisfactory customer service with the delivery of my car. I had to keep on calling for updates on delivery and it took them 12 days to have the car available for me from the day of deposit due to delay on paperwork. The documentation fees are the highest I have seen at any dealer and the sales manager was not willing to reduce them as compensation for the unforeseen wait in my car delivery, nor did he offered anything else to compensate for the delay. The financial department then sent me a denial of loan which did not make sense because I did not need a loan due to opting not to buy the car and besides I have an excellent credit score. The letter said to request an explanation of denial which I did through a certified letter but they never responded within the stipulated 30 days. They also did not respond to any of my phone calls or voice voice mails which was an option they also gave me on the letter. Even showing up in person did not yield an explanation as the financial director said he did not know the department sends such letters and he claimed he did not get my letter which the tracking showed they did. He also said he did not respond to my various voice mails because he was very busy. So frustrating. Thank goodness I got my deposit back.The sales person was a nice guy though. Grace C. read more

Being told they'd be happy to fix a broken part under warranty free of charge ( I should hope so) and then it wasn't fixed. No apology for that and loss of another two hours of my time while they ( hopefully) fix it again. 2nd service tech was truly thoughtful and helpful. Fox News on the big screen in the waiting room? Noticed people sitting to avoid it. Really challenging to have that playing. Strongly suggest a neutral choice, if we must have a tv on at all. No stars, from start to finish. Five service visits the first week we picked up daughter's used Chevy Captiva. Sales Manager told me "It's just the way it's made." Turns out, on the 5th visit, Service Manager says no, it needs a new wiper motor assembly. Fast forward to first oil change - bill is $1020.70. Let me start by saying I have been to several Honda dealerships in Texas and New England and I have had minimal complaints, if any, at any of those dealerships. I have gotten service completed twice at this particular dealership and will never be returning. They did not complete all the services I had requested multiple times- I explained what I needed to get done while making the appointment and again when I dropped it off. It wasn't until I picked up the car that I found out only one of the two services I requested was completed. Jake, the service adviser is not to blame and I feel bad for him as I'm sure he is the sounding board for MANY frustrated and upset customers. I was given a phone number to call with any questions regarding my service when I dropped off the car. I texted and phoned the number to ensure all services were completed but did not receive an answer on either method. I was then told that those numbers "go to a fax machine" and the representatives never get them nor get the comments made when booking an appointment online. I don't understand how a customer service company can operate with such horrible communication and efficiency. I would strongly advise not wasting your time at this dealership and try the Chicopee location. read more

I bought my Honda Civic over a year now and just never got around to write a review. The sales guy was GREAT, but of course that's his job lol how else is he gonna make a sale. As for service they SUCK. I've gone a few times and each time it gets worse if that's even possible. You walk in and no one greets you. Everyone is on their computer and when convenient for them they look up and say "someone will be with you" every time it never fails. I don't think it's polite to have a customer stand and wait without acknowledging them. Also I would suggest that once I give them my number my car history pops up on the screen. Don't ask me if I've been there before when in fact I bought my car there and I've service my car there before several times. Like come on it's called customer service.
