I arrived at 10:45 a.m. this morning for a state inspection at Brad's, which lists its hours as open until noon on both its website and on the service door entrance. There was no sign on the door or at the counter about closing early or stopping inspections. I waited about 15 minutes before being told by the inspector that he wasn't doing any more inspections for the day because he was tired after being there since 8 a.m. He said he told the customer before me that he would be his last inspection -- but another customer wouldn't be responsible for telling me that, and he did not. If there's a cutoff time for inspections, it really needs to be clearly posted so people don't waste their time showing up well before closing and being turned away. Very poor customer service. I do wonder whether the owner or manager is aware of this decision to stop inspections early and the impact it has on customers. read more

Always know that things are going to get done right. Even if you come in thinking it's a serious and costly problem, they'll check it out and not do the job you expected if it's a less serious and cheaper problem. You'll only pay for what you actually need. read more

Absolutely incredible service. I emailed them about a noise my Subaru was making when they were closed on a Sunday and Brad emailed me back right away even though they were closed. That shows true dedication and that they value an impressive work ethic. I brought my car in for a road test drive. Not only were they incredibly friendly but they figured out that my lug nuts were loose and that was the cause of my problem. I was anticipating something being wrong with my drivetrain....he tightened all of my lug nuts and would not charge me for anything! Very professional shop. They do the repairs I asked for, recommended an additional repair that was much needed. I received my truck back with my air conditioner fixed, inspection passed, front end upper and lower ball joint's replaced and new brake pads. My family has been to Brads on several occasions and they never disappoint. Always friendly, reliable, and honest. Most recently, my stupid self swiped my side mirror on my garage and broke it. Brad's gave me a quote and when it was fixed I went into pay and was charged less than the quote. This is because they said they weren't charged to paint the mirror like they thought they would be, therefore, I wasn't charged for the painting like I originally thought I would be. They could have easily charged me the original quote without me knowing that they weren't being charged by the body shop to paint the mirror. Inspection review only: Inspection on my new-to-me car went perfectly smoothly after I called ahead to be sure they could fit me in. (FYI, they take a 10:30-11:30 lunch, which I assume is meant to accommodate the typical person's lunch break and seems like a kindness to working customers.) The waiting room is comfortable compared with many auto shop waiting rooms. Will send my husband here for his inspection and consider them for any future repairs. In-and-out in 20 minutes. Have been bringing my family's cars to Brad's for 3-4 years now. They are my dream mechanics! Here is why: 1. No one has unlimited $$ to spend and they know it. They tell you what needs to be fixed right now and what can safely wait, as well as what maintenance to anticipate in the next few months. 2. Their estimates on cost and labor are always reasonable and accurate. 3. They will not spend more than a minimal and/or reasonable amount of time investigating a problem without checking in with you first. Never is there a 'surprise' on the bill. 4. Everyone is very friendly and professional. (I've met my share of creepy male mechanics, but none of them work here!) 5. Free wi-fi in waiting area, large TV, and free Keurig coffee :) I recommend Brad's to everyone, and especially to women who are tired of their mechanics thinking they can take financial advantage of female customers. read more

As far as the repair of my vehicle, they were very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining what the problem was, and what was fixed. As far as administratively very unorganized. I had to return to Brads due to them charging my debit card twice, they could not locate my paperwork after I brought it in with me, when Informing then of the extra charge. I was then told my account must not have had enough money in it initially which made me very upset. I then showed my online banking app to where I was charged twice and after waiting for them to figure out where their copy of my receipt was I was refunded. I was very offended when I was told "it looks like i owed them money". Overall I was very dissatisfied with the way they approached resolving a problem, and seemed very un-organized with customer records, and I will not return. read more

Unprofessional and rude customer service. I did my car inspection, without my authorization they charged me an extra fee for plates installation. All the services and costs should be discussed upfront! When I objected to that extra charge, a young mechanic suddenly turned into a rude and obnoxious person. When you bring in your car for repair, you must sut and wait for it. If not, they won't touch it. They'll let the 3 hour window lapse ( the time frame they originally give you)ESPECIALLY if its around lunch time! They're too expensive!!! For certain people, they rape you on the LABOR. The parts could be 150.00 and they'll charge another 450.00 for labor. Research other places before wasting time at brads. read more

I had no appointment, they took my car, brought me home. I got the car the next day with plenty of time to make it to my 2nd shift job and the owner Brad actually picked me up because I didn't have a ride to get my car. Wow! I found out about Brad's on Yelp while looking for an inspection bay that was open on Saturday. I arrived ten minutes before they closed and they took my car right in. After reading many good reviews online, and not finding a bad one, I felt I should really give this place a try. Two words: customer service. I've brought my car here for maintenance a couple of times already and am glad that I've found a service garage that I can trust and whose staff is very nice, helpful, and informative. The work was done in a timely fashion. The waiting area is large, clean, and accommodating with plenty of seating, a TV, free coffee, and even tablets you can play with. They even have an outside smoking area with a few benches to sit on while you wait. Oh, and they have a huge bay too. To me, this is a reflection of the quality of service I received, and these days I find it difficult to get good customer service in most places. I'm satisfied and I will definitely be taking my car here for future repairs and maintenance. read more
