I've been looking for a good pediatrician in the area for my newborn and I'm glad we finally found one. My son's pediatrician is located all the way in downtown Phoenix, and I just don't have the energy to also drive my daughter all the way from where we are in the East Valley. Dr. Ijaola is proficient, punctual, and personable enough. He's been very thorough during my daughter's last 2 checkups. I also decided to finally have a wellness check for myself since the birth of my daughter was so horrific for both of us. My primary care physician also works at this office. She's one of the nurse practitioners. And she is extremely knowledgeable and thorough as well. My daughter had her physical scheduled for 1:25pm. I called before her appt as we were stopped on the 202 in accident traffic. I was told that as long as we were here by 1:35 she could be seen. I arrived and walked in at 1:35pm. The receptionist, Michelle, was on the phone and ignored us for 5 plus minutes. Then hung up and said sorry. I told her we called and were 10 min late. She said, "uummmm, no. You were 12 minutes late and we already had canceled you." I know I wasn't as I was looking at my clock in the car driving here. Now it is 1:48pm and we are still here pending a drs note for her practice. We could have already had her appt in that time. Really disappointed with this office and my experience. Unfortunately my experience was a negative one- *not because of the doctor*, but because of the staff. Every encounter I had with the front office was always so frustrating. The final straw that made me part ways with this office was the unwillingness to help by the front office staff. When I would call, as soon as they answered the phone I'd get placed on hold for 20 minutes at a time. If I asked for an appointment I would quickly be told there's no availability- it always felt like they didn't care that my daughter was sick, they're booked. ‍ The girls would give me attitude and make me feel as if I were inconveniencing them to call to schedule an appointment. It's close to impossible to get an appointment here. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, stuck it out for over a year. I can honestly say probably other than 2 times my daughter was seen here I always left feeling frustrated. Again not by the doctor, but by the staff. I got tired of dealing with it and trying to make sense of it. I will gladly take my business somewhere else where the staff is kind, helpful, professional, and pleasant! read more

I have been coming here since my son was born in May. In the pediatric side of the office there's toys and books for kids to play with and they nicely separate the kids from the internist side with a beautiful salt water tank. Dr.Lanre Ijaola Makes it all worth while since the beginning. You can tell he loves his job and loves children by his demeanor. When ever I have a question or concern I can call the office and they have always answered me right away or gotten back to me with an answer that same day. When my son has been sick I have always gotten in same day to see the doctor. I have never had to wait very long in the waiting area to be seen. When we get there and get checked in we are almost always taken back straight away. Once my son is weighed and measured the wait to see e doctor in the room as well is very quick. One down side is the nurse practitioner she is very nice but always makes me feel rushed. Like we are just a number on a sheet and she needs to move on to the next. She isn't very personable like Dr Ijaola. But again as I said before dr. Ijaola makes it all worth while. read more

I suffered a stress related heart attack on 7/23/21. I went into this office to receive follow up care and find out why I cannot stand for more than an hour and was peeing once an hour. After 16 days in and out of the hospital between 7/23 and 9/21 was told there was nothing wrong with me by this provider. The provider started disability paperwork so that I can get the treatment I need but got frustrated by the amount of paperwork they had to fill out and started refusing. I have tried to get the medication I have been taking for 16 years filled to have nothing, but games played to the point I had to go to the hospital just to get meds for me to function due to the confirmed diagnosis of small fiber neuropathy through biopsy. At this point I knew that they were not going to be the advocate I needed. 12/13 I got a call from the office stating they had paperwork and needed me to call them back. After I called back, they said I needed an appointment to discuss the paperwork which I made. One day before the appointment I was called back and told that the provider is not going to fill out the paperwork and will not prescribe meds, so why would I go there? She had no problem prescribing me a med that gave me pancreatitis against my own judgement. I had to find my own specialist that took the time to listen and run the proper test. Out of respect I put PA Moore down as the referring doctor so that they can stay up to date. To this day they have not keep up with my current treatment and basically resigned themselves to not helping me which is direct violation of their oath. I have been knowing this doctor since my kid was two days old and in ICU. Dr. Lanre has always been good with my kid, but my kid has never a long term medical condition he had to get treatment for. I switch my PCP to his office to save time and get the same good service my kid got. Like some of the other reviews I asked for a call from the owner of the office to discuss what was going on but all I got were very politically correct answers and told there was nothing he could do basically and was told that malpractice insurance will take care of any complaints I have. Talk about being dehumanize further. I really had faith in this office to this point and have given them every chance to make it right to no avail. All I want is to be treated with dignity and for my issues to be heard and believed Now the treating physician, I found on my own, has found that I have small fiber neuropathy, found the nerves in my abdomen to be damaged from an angiogram during my heart attack. Found the implant in my spine is slipping forward and the nerves in my thoracic spine to be damaged also. I never would have gotten this done had I just took this sitting down and not found someone to help. All these things sure don't seem like they are in my head and what patient wants to be told they are lying. I hope this practice gets some accountability for all the things I have been told. It's unfortunate that my kid has to suffer and have to go through finding a new doctor all because of someone else's actions. All I want is to be able to get the treatment I need so that I can provide for my family. It was not fun not having the money for thanksgiving or Christmas because they are dragging their feet with disability. Not fun being on the brink of losing everything because they can't admit they were wrong and make it right. I am the only one who is losing out here read more

I am so disappointed in the service Mercy Grace has provided my son and I. The office staff is extremely unprofessional specifically Amber. She is extremely rude and has an attitude every time I have called in asking a question concerning my son. I asked her if something was wrong because I felt that she was treating me very unprofessionally over the phone and she actually hung up on me. I called back to understand what had happened and she quickly talked over me telling me she had not hung up on me and that she could not help me. Mercy Grace, if you are wanting to maintain your 5 star rating on FB and google I suggest you seriously consider who you hire for your office staff. They are the face of your company. All the records are electronic and I am able to view test results the next day through the patient portal. This may not always be the case, but that is a quick turnaround time. I spent a lot of time researching a good pediatrician before deciding to go with Mercy Grace and I was completely disappointed. From the moment I tried to make an appointment for my new born baby girl this place was a complete unprofessional mess! I honestly feel like the type of insurance I carry currently is why I was treated the way was, I felt completely discriminated against. Mark was a rude nightmare, very disrespectful and unprofessional lack of empathy for others in every way possible. Over the phone he was rude and unhelpful and in person the same behavior. I walked in and Christian music was playing throughout the office, however Mark is the devil! I do not recommend this place to anyone and I switched my newborn to another provider with more care and professionalism, if Mark doesn't like people or he wants to discriminate people he should find another profession. I had my follow up appt with DNP Nancy Erdmann. I have never been so pleased with my medical care as now. My initial appt was with Dr Ijaola and I was so impressed with her thoroughness. She told me my followup would be with DNP Nancy Erdmann. I was a little disappointed to hear that because I was so pleased with Dr Ijaola I thought no one else could compare...boy was I wrong! Nancy Erdmann totally impressed me with her knowledge and aggressive care with me. She took the time to explain how things work in your body and why I was feeling like I was. She double checked some of my blood work before prescribing medication. I left with a shot and meds were prescribed 2 days later after blood results came back. I feel so much better already. I'm advising both of my daughters to start to come to Mercy Grace. This is a top notch facility. I really can't think of anything to suggest to improve. The whole staff is professional yet personal. Terrible Patient Experience! Dr. Ijaola is fantastic, but his office and staff make going to see him an awful and unpleasant experience. Calling in and scheduling appointments is always painful. This last appointment, we waited for 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment before we saw anyone. At that time we found out that the nurse scheduling appointments booked our appointment with the wrong person (the PA instead of the Dr. ) because "The doctor is busy today". The time before last, the nurse severely bruised our at the time infant by not being careful or considerate to the fact that it was an infant while delivering immunizations. As much as I like Dr. Ijaola, I will never take any of my four children back to his practice. It is unfortunate that doctors aren't required to attend business school before opening a practice. Hiring better staff and having an administrator actually run this practice could make it a great place for families seeking care. read more

The doctor here is AMAZING! We absolutely love Dr. Hope Ijaola ... however a few of her MAs HORRENDOUS! They tried to charge a $20 for an OFFICE VISIT when the patient was only seeing the MA to have blood drawn, he wasn't going to see DR Hope at all! We went to the Lab instead and they charged NOTHING to get the blood drawn. One of the Medical assistants caught serious attitude with me because I told her he shouldn't be paying since he wasn't seeing the doctor, as well I know how the medical billing works! I WORK IN HEALTHCARE!!!!! It is FRAUDULENT billing to charge a patient for an office visit when they aren't seeing the doctor and we are going to he insurance to see how many other times they have charged for an office visit when he only seen the Medical Assistant. YOU CANNOT CHARGE FOR AN OFFICE VISIT IF YOU DONT SEE A DOCTOR! Billing patients and insurances that way can land you in a lot of trouble and we are going to report it! Due to this we are changing doctors but people should know about the incorrect billing practices!!! DO NOT PAY TO SEE AN MA THEY ARE NOT A DOCTOR AND THEY CANNOT CHARGE YOU! WARNING THAT WHEN THEY SAY PRIORITY FOR NEWBORN ITS A LIE! I did a meet and greet here with Dr. Ijaola bac in In September, I was so impressed with him and his office I knew he was the pediatrician for my new family! I was told that when being released from the hospital to call and I will be placed as a priority and seen without a doubt. Well 12/23 I was released from the hospital with my newborn son who ended up being an emergency csection. He was circumcised that morning. I was told by the hospital to contact the chosen pediatrician and make my 24-48 appointment. I called and had a hard time getting the girl to understand that I needed a NEWBORN appointment. She was trying to schedule us for Jan 7th.... finally she understands and says "oh well we have our nurse practitioner available tomorrow the 24th at 11:30) I say great! And I think that at least someone is seeing my son within the timeframe needed. Well the 24th rolls around and I get ready, get my son ready and my husband and I hit the road (it's pouring outside) I'm a first time mom, csection at that. We get to our appointment and the time is 11:34.. well we made it though! I go to the front desk to check in and the girl says "you're late you needed to be here at 11:15 for paperwork" I informed her I was not told that or I would have been there at that time.... she said "well now let me see if we can still take you today." At this point I'm getting annoyed, 4 minutes late and not given accurate information and now my newborn son suffers lack of care because of that? She comes back and says "yeah no he won't see you because you're late." I tell her that when I had my meet and greet I was told newborns are priority and he would be seen no worries within 24-48 hours. Now it's Christmas Eve and I won't be able to get my son seen until Later?! She says "well maybe we can get you in Friday." Friday is WAY past the time frame I needed. So I tell her to screw off , we didn't want to use their office. I'm in tears and she says "you're not understanding, it's just because you're late". So in other words we left with our newborn back into the rain with no appointment scheduled and now no pediatrician for our son. Luckily I was able to contact Palo Verde pediatrics and get my son seen. I've never in my life been treated so carelessly and Dr. Ijaola needs to know what kind of people he has working at his practice! read more
