Use this as a massive warning! (And I am seeing others comment in these reviews similarly.) Circumstance 1: I went in to the Urgent Care for a UTI and was charged, using insurance, $812.00 just for a dip stick urine test and under a 2 minute doctor consultation to write me an RX. My insurance paid $7.37 total because they said that is the cost of a test. That makes sense. So what is left is costing me over $400 a minute for help for face to face care with a doctor. Circumstance 2: I went to the same Urgent Care (didn't have the bill for the previous one, otherwise I would not have gone) for bronchitis and a sinus infection. Again, heart rate, bp, and a stethoscope to my chest was all that was done, in addition to the prescription to take to a local pharmacy (no xrays or anything like that). This one was charged $528...so over $150 per minute to be face to face with a doctor. Both times I went, I was the ONLY patient in the waiting room (and didn't see one in the main part of the rooms). It's not like I was at a high peak time even. Why weren't others there...probably because they have read so many poor reviews unlike I did. I was telling this with a friend of mine and she told me that this happened to her as well (same location for an ear infection), resulting in an outlandish bill, so I am not the only person that this has happened to. I have called many times to get them to recode/adjust trying to dispute it even asking for the self payout, and they are not budging. They are standing behind their stomach-dropping fees. I will also say, I have gone to this location other times in past years for the same issues and never received such outlandish bills. It's as if they are treating this like an emergency room (and with my multiple phone calls the billing department employees keeps saying "ER"). I have driven by the place to make sure it didn't change to an ER and I mistakenly didn't notice, but the sign on the building (and the website) says Urgent Care. I am NOT trying to get out of paying for my services, but I will stand up for what is "right" and announce to many what a horrible company they have become. Seems like the only thing I can do is leave a bad review, notify the news company, file a complaint with the department of health, in addition to my insurance company (Blue Cross) knowing. Price gouging at its finest. Very deceiving business practice. Please go anywhere but here! Never, ever again will I use them! (Look at the slew of Google reviews on this place. I am by far not the only one!)

I wish I could give this place negative stars!…read more They potray themselves as a walk in clinic. My husband walked into this location and was told to go home and come back two hours later. When he came back he was over charged his on his co-pay as our co-pay is $10 for retail walk in clinics which this was confirmed with my insurance and it even states it on my insurance card and they charged us $25 instead. The NP said she was sorry and that she couldn't refund the card the overage that he would have to call the main walgreen billing to get this taken care of and that she would put notes in his chart. She even hand wrote a note on his bill and signed it stating that she would put the note in the account that we were only suppose to pay $10. Well, I called Walgreens and they stated that they wouldn't refund us the overcharged amount and that the NP hadn't put the notes in his account and that the paper we have that she hand wrote and signed wasn't acceptable. Now we are out of $15. You're better of going to your own doctor or the Urgent care at this point if you have to wait either way and then get screwed by them by over charging you and not refunding you. Walgreens is no better and above that their billing practices are fradulent. BEWARE!!!! They are not at the corner of happy and healthy, more like the corner of Liars & they don't care.

It's been a two and a half year long ordeal of trying to get the billing straight for what should have been a free service. Back in June 2009, I went to Take Care Clinic because they were one of the few places that had the H1N1 vaccine in stock. This was a free vaccine paid for by the government, so I shouldnt have been charged anything for the vaccine. I confirmed the $0 charge on the phone with the clinic before I arrived, and again with the technician when she gave me the shot. Yet six months later, they billed me an $18 administration fee. I disputed the charge, but then thought it was just easier to pay it to make it go away. Bad idea, because in July of 2011 (two tears after service date)' they billed me $53 for a different shot that I didn't get. I disputed that charge in writing, but instead of investigating they sent the account to collections.. So they'll charge you a different amount than the listed fees, screw up their accounting, blame it on your insurance, and then send the matter to collections. if I could give this place Zero stars, I would. I'll never go back there, or to Walgreens either. Terrible experience that won't go away.

Allie was my nurse towards the end of my labor and she was the nurse who helped me deliver my baby and all I can say is WOW! I will never forget how awesome she was and how well she took care of me. The postpartum care nurses (we had 6) were not as awesome as Allie but most of them were kind! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the postpartum care is not the best. They tell you to get as much rest as possible and feed baby but then they come into the room every 5-10 minutes. Not sure if that happens everywhere, this is my first baby. We also had issues with the cafeteria not delivering food to my room. Overall, my experience at Banner gateway was great and i definitely recommend delivery your baby here if you are considering it.

When I saw the doctor, I explained my symptoms, but from the start, I felt like my concerns were being dismissed. He made a comment that high blood pressure is "better than low," which didn't feel reassuring given why I was there. He told me the plan was to do blood work, an EKG, and give me another dose of my blood pressure medication. I had my blood drawn and waited, expecting to be called back for the EKG. Instead, the doctor later came to tell me that my "EKG and blood work" were normal. I had to point out that I never actually received an EKG. He responded that he must have been thinking of another patient, which was concerning in itself. He then said he didn't think an EKG was necessary anymore, even though it had been part of the original plan. He recommended that I start taking my blood pressure medication twice a day and discharged me. This left me feeling confused and uneasy. After doing some research the next day, I learned that I am already on the maximum recommended dose of that medication, and increasing it is not typically advised. Overall, I left feeling that my concerns weren't taken seriously and that the care I received lacked attention to detail.

I review everything. Including... walk-in doctor's offices. So, I'm a One Medical user, and I've used it for about six months. This is my home location, and I'm definitely a fan. One of the main things I like about it is how you can get labs done by just walking in anytime. You don't need an appointment. You just walk in and wait. If there's a line, they can give you a time to come back. Or, if there's no line, you can just sit in the waiting room. It's very nice to have a lab on site, and you don't have to deal with the whole Sonora Quest adventure that a lot of us Arizonans deal with. I've seen two nurse practitioners there. Both of them were helpful. And not only did they show good bedside manner--if I'm able to use that term, despite not actually being in a hospital bed--but they also were quick to respond to my messages on the app. The service here is painless. No pun intended. It's easy to make an appointment. Their app is very well-designed. And this location is clean and friendly. I would recommend One Medical if you're looking for a simple primary care experience.

I did appreciate her honesty on what's actually necessary for my daughter vaccine-wise before our trip. I was well aware that there was going to be a fee for the consultation alone and was also prepared to pay upfront for any vaccines that needed to be administered right away. Luckily, the nurse just recommended I keep my upcoming doctor's appointment for my daughter and they can handle it all there through my insurance. I also appreciated how easy it was to find the place (even though it can look misleading, as the business plaza looks a bit like an apartment complex). If you follow your GPS, you should have no issues. Another bonus is how tech-friendly the place is. Much more modern and straight to the point.

Passport Health quoted more than $5000 for vaccinations - some of which are covered by insurance (but they don't take insurance). The nurse at my doctor's office recommended Passport Health, highly disappointed that she did. Should have done my research instead of trusting her! Walgreens offers all routine vaccinations and works with your health insurance, plus many Walgreens locations also offer travel vaccinations.
