a man ordering a burger at a fast food restaurant

First, you pay a premium eating at Woodbury. A Big Mac meal at McDonald's is $14. The shop bacon cheeseburger was about $16. It says it's made from Waygu beef though it is definitely better than a Big Mac but it is just an ok burger for me, not one that costs $16 or even $10. Service was almost non-existence due to staff shortage. The guy who ran the register had to go back to kitchen to help to get the orders out and there are only 2 other guys who worked there. Our fries were fresh but the burger was not ready so when we got our order the fries were no longer fresh. Management can definitely do better with staffing. I understand this is at a food court but if you are charging a premium on food, I think you should try to do a little better to earn your business.

Got some lunch from here on our day trip to Woodbury commons. Not too many people, easy to put in an order quickly. The menu looks mouthwatering. But when I got my chicken sandwich, it was utter disappointment. Just plain bread, with a piece of chicken and barely some mayo on it, just to check off the box. The picture in the menu had no resemblance of what I was served. I did order a chocolate shake too. It was little better than quality than the sandwich.

Located in the food court of Woodbury Commons. Friendly staff and clean. The line moved quickly and didn't have to wait too long for the food. It was all good. Sadly, most of the cheese settled at the bottom of the tots.

A good number of food options at this large food court. I picked the melt shop because I specifically wanted a plant based burger. Sadly it was very average. Not bad, just pretty bland and the bun seemed slightly stale. Next time I'd probably just get a slice of pizza next door or his the McDonalds.

Melt Shop is a solid place for fast food if you love cheese and sandwich. We were there without many choices in the food court of Woodbury Outlet. The staff was rude, reluctant and served everything slowly. There was a long line during lunch time but the staff did not have a sense of urgency and just talked to each other. We had their signature chicken sandwich - Nashville Hot Chicken and 3 pieces of chicken strips with hot honey sauce and fries. The food was overall not bad and we love the hot honey sauce, which was super appetizing. The fries were overcooked, dry and greasy.

So disappointed. My korean bbq burger sounded so good on the menu. Well, I unwrapped my burger but it looked like it was squished by someone mistaking it for making a snowball. Inside, the burger was drenched with a salty imitation korean sauce. I couldn't even taste the coleslaw nor even see it under the dark salty sauce. Maybe I'll have better luck with different choice next time

Food was substandard for the price charged. Cook clumsily dropped my burger on the floor, and it remained there until the moment I left. On the second burger, he danced with the spatula and burger while looking at me as "look how talented I am and I don't drop it twice".

My favorite food court meal that I can remember. Eager to try something new, I chose the Meltshop. The veggie sandwich was fabulous: roasted sun dried tomatoes an mushrooms, fresh arugula, goat cheese and Muenster on hearty whole grain. Young man at the register had eaten the sandwich previously so could respond to my questions so I took the risk and ordered. My thoughts: I love the flavor and would have eaten three more if given the opportunity. It's a sandwich portion but sooooo tasty. I LIKE goat cheese so I did not find it over/powering. I did not deconstruct to examine but it seemed a bit light on the shrooms. The arugula provides a bright peppery note. The only negative - mine got a bit shook in transit and did not look as pretty as possible when the box opened. I will be back. And I will order this. PS - a bit confused - is there a space between words (like on bag) or not (like on sign). Just a branding issue.

I was looking to get out of the city today and figured I'd head north and explore different areas. I saw the Melt Shop right around where I wanted to explore so I thought it would be the perfect destination and I'd just make the rest of my day revolve around this food! Almost 2 hours later I arrive and the damn place is closed!!! Lights out closed! It says it opens mid-day today and has hours listed!! Only a small section on their site discloses it's temporarily closed.... after the fact for me. So I got the next best thing, Chipotle With free double guac... that was nice!!! Anyways..... it really messed up my day and I will try to correct the yelp and google listings to closed. I was going to order 4 sandwiches too and take them home to have for the next few days too.... really bummed!!

    Truly epic BLT

When selecting 5 Stars Yelp illuminates a confirmation that says, and I quote, "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" Is Melt Shop really, Woohoo, As good as it gets? No, not even close. However, in so far as food courts go, Melt Shop sits firmly atop the pile making them the Woohoo, As good as it gets in that particular genre. Now, I'll go one step farther and declare their BLT on of the best I've ever eaten and folks, I've eaten a crapload of BLTs. Bread is beautifully artisanal, lettuce, cold fresh and crisp, tomatoes ripe and delicious and bacon that's absolutely spectacular. Now, in interest of full disclosure, food court food generally sucks so the bar is set noticeably lower than it would ordinarily be. But quite honestly, if I ordered this BLT at a pricey Manhattan eatery and was charged say $18 for it, I wouldn't have complained a bit. Yeah, it's that good. Whenever I go to Woodbury Commons which really isn't that often, I always make sure to pay them a visit. You should too. Oh and the girl with the black hair and the lip piercing is awesome. Just sayin.

Great grilled cheese sandwiches! Ordered this and the tots. The truffle on the grilled cheese was delicious. If you're in the mood for comfort food in the woodbury commons food court, this is a great place to head over to.

Not sure if it was the onions, the peppers or both. Scraped off all the veggies and tried to continue eating my sandwhich but it unfortunately was tainted to where I could not eat it. Hubby's roast beef was dry - shockingly. Went to eat my Napoleon later in the evening - same thing - tasted bad - tasted like mold - could not eat it. Was pretty disappointed. Such a shame.

And so when I hear so many hearings of such detail, and read so many readings with such info... it becomes a Yelp Elite's journey... no, destiny... no, civil duty to check in on said rumors. For often, rumors are spread by fools and accepted by idiots. But on a rarity? On a rarity... facts can be misleading while rumors, true or false, are often revealing. I shall carry on, unencumbered and cucumbered. I don't know much about Benny. I saw and felt the brown bag, but didn't get too familiar with it either. And why's that? That's because upon entrance to my vehicle (once a lease now owned, whatever) I smelt what was inside the bag. I kindly asked the bag to cover up the smell, of which it couldn't do. Therefore, I viciously removed the brown bag in one swift swipe. Maybe a rip. Potentially a tear... in order to lay eyes on the prize inside. Situated within a blue checkered wrapping, my nails continued to claw until my bleeding eyes and howler of a nose got what they requested. Sight on the sitch. The Foxchocker, chicken sandwich. I'm a substance guy. I need that chicken on my sandwiches. Famous fried chicken? Don't mind if I dadadadadoooooo. Bacon. Meunster mash cheese, jalapeños, a saucity sauce on a long ciabatta? Listen. I'm an easy guy. Super loose. I don't need much convincing. You say those words to me and my mouth begins to water immediately. You can take me home with that kinda talk. Don't test me. I'm street smart, not book smart... let me cook. So again, just read those ingredients... i knew that if that chicken was marinated right and if that sauce was saucing that we could be in for a mouth concert. A concert of the mouth. The tongue in cheek and teeth in esophagus. The good stuff. And let me tell you. This was GOOD STUFF. Great stuff. Phenom stuff. The chicken was seasoned and marinated to perfection. It was juicy. It was substantial. The sauce was diabolical by nature but caring in the way it caressed my taste buds. The long ciabatta was soft and played wonderfully in sync with the crisp of the crispiest of bacons. The jalapeño provided a necessary kick that was amplified by the monster meunster cheese. Each bite was a new magical moment. I was eating and driving. No mitts on the circular controlling device, Jesus took the wheel and safely got me home. Mamma Mia was this thing good. Batter my shorts and call me tortellini, I was impressed! Nearly put in shock while off-the-clock (Happy MLK Day.) The outside appearance of the de facto deli puts ya to sleep. The courteous and kind staff wakes you up. And this Fox Catcher Sandy makes you feel like you're at a rave. Head banging and tongue tangling, what a time to be alive. Now were the rumors just that, rumors? I say not. I say the Hot Goss out of LB's mouth was that you GOTTTA go here. That delightful of a dive. I'd make the detour once over. I'd travel 30 mins for the Fox Choker. I'm sick of hunting down and choking foxes myself, messy business. I'll leave it to the pros. Brown Bag, maybe one day you'll make it home raveled in your original presence rather than devoured immediately. LB, skillfully peeking in Peekskill - I bid Benny ado (for now.)

This time around I ordered the salami and blue cheese and the roast beef special. The cheese and bread are all super fresh, but that didn't stop the roast beef sandwich from being a bit bland. The salami and blue cheese sandwich is a favorite of mine, and again was super fresh, but the sandwich was small and doesn't come with any veggies. I think the reason I am giving this two stars, and not three of four, is because of the ambiance and service. This time we waited around 20 minutes just to order our sandwiches, as there was only one person in the front, and they spent 15 minutes letting some people ahead of us sample cheese. The shop was packed, but the line was barely moving. We also saw the employees stick his nose in some mortadella and sniff it... not sure if that was a quality check but it was a bit of a turn-off. The shop itself is cute, but it has no bathroom or indoor seating, which is a must after a long car ride or hike (the area is famous for hiking). There are two outdoor tables, but they are extremely cramped. We sat down with our baby and there just wasn't enough room for us and the three ladies next to us, so my husband ate standing up. The cheese itself is quite nice and the staff is quite knowledgeable about what they products they offer. However, I like to stop here for lunch, and the lunch menu is limited to sandwiches. There are only a few sandwiches offered (maybe 5 and two specials) and they don't rotate through menu items very often, so I feel like I've tried each sandwich they offer multiple times over at this point. The sandwiches are usually quite bare and don't come with many veggies or variety. So that being said, I've been returning less because I'm a bit bored by the offerings.
