What a stunning group of abject failures the staff was for us today. They couldn't make us a side salad that didn't have bacon on it for OVER AN HOUR...DESPITE TWO ATTEMPTS. We ordered 3 things: a small salad without bacon (a member of our group cannot eat bacon), a pizza and a chicken melt. Here's how that salad went... After about 15 min., we got a small salad that had a pile of bacon on it. We kindly asked for a salad without bacon (again). 10 minutes later, we were told the salad was on its way. 20 minutes later, the waiter said he would have them just make the salad to go at this point. 10-15 minutes later, he told us the kitchen staff made the salad again...but again put bacon on it.............. so at this point they gave up on efforts to get us a salad as we were still dining..... HOWWW DOOO YOUUU MANAGE TO NOT BRING OUT AN ITEM THAT DOESNT REQUIRE BEING HEATED UP...FOR OVER AN HOUR....ON TWO ATTEMPTS!!??!? The waiter then told us several times that he would take the salad off the bill. He sounded like he thought he was doing us a favor by not charging us for something we never received.... Before we left, the waiter told us that if we came back tomorrow, we would get a salad for free...........‍ Who knows if this whole issue was because of the waiter or the kitchen staff, as any smart waiter is just going to blame whoever the customer doesn't see so the tip is still decent. It's also worth noting that this was not a busy day in Myrtle Beach. It was a mid-afternoon weekend in mid-October, not dinner rush on a weekend in July. The atmosphere is not much. It's a bar that has some tables and a wood fired pizza oven. There's an outdoor seating area that looks kind of sad. Anyway, I raised my rating up an entire star because the pizza and chicken melt were pretty good. Alas, can't do zero stars but as we never made it inside to doors, have absolutely nothing to rate. Oh wait, I do! Drove down super early this morning from Greensboro NC. So after a brief walk around, hit up Yelp for lunch. Melt seemed to be the perfect option. Yelp said they opened at 11am so standing in front of the door at 11:39am, was baffled by the locked door. And then even more so by the four employees milling about inside. Glancing our direction numerous times and then looking away. We stood there for 5 minutes trying to get their attention. IGNORED! Couldn't be bothered to come to the door and tell is if and what time they WERE opening. THEN tried calling. And at this point you can't be surprised to hear they never picked up. If THAT was the attention they couldn't be bothered to give, then what could be expected inside. Great service, mediocre food, poor atmosphere. The restaurant had a "dirty mop water" smell and a puddle of water on the floor- what appeared to be some kind of leak near the front door. It was extremely warm in the dining room- when I asked the waiter if the air conditioning was broken his response was, "they said it's not". My husband and I both ordered side salads that had good flavor, but was unfortunately served a little warm. Not sure if the bowl had just been taken from a dish dryer or if it had sat under a heat lamp. We also ordered beer that was anything but ice cold. I ordered the Silitty which was good, but really greasy. My husband had the ribs and a side of Mac & cheese. When I asked him to rate each from 1-5: ribs = 3.5 (said the rub plus the sauce were too overpowering). He said mac & cheese is a 4 (it was good & creamy). The lack of cleanliness, temperature and the warm salad and beers are the contributing factors for this low score. read more

We had an awful experience here - the only saving grace was our waiter, very nice young man - we felt bad this was his place of employment. TIMED OUT - Our visit started promising as they sat our party of 7 immediately. However that was the end of the promise... it took a long time to get our drinks (a waitress was handling us at that point and she forgot one of the drinks... she never came back.) Then the young waiter came and we placed our order - about 20 minutes into our time at this point - 45 minutes later our daughter's pizza came out - another 25 minutes before some of our meals arrived (after everyone else that were sat 45 minutes after us had their meals) - another 15 minutes and the final 2 meals arrived. TASTE: Our daughter's pizza was the best tasting thing that arrived. The pulled pork sandwich came in a distant second - my salad arrived without chicken - the fried haddock platter and sandwich both were burned on the outside and raw on the inside (OLD OIL) - The pork belly tacos were extremely hard to eat because of the large chunks of pork belly that were overcooked and too crunchy to eat. To top it off as if that was not enough - my sons tacos had a hair in them! (The waiter was kind enough to remove my salad and the tacos from the check and was very apologetic) FINAL ANALYSIS - The cook needs to learn how to process tickets appropriately and in a timely fashion so that all meals arrive at the same time - it was not busy enough to warrant this kind of timing on meals (we have been in the restaurant business and know how things should run) He also needs to know how old the oil is he is using so that the items cook right. Came after a long day of traveling to Myrtle Beach. Able to be seated immediately on a Sunday evening and enjoyed sitting on the patio. Host and server had a communication error, so we sat for a while before she noticed we were her table. Five of us in the party, and two were very happy with the food, three were not impressed. Build you own wood fired pizza and the OG were the hits. The Corleone (was underbaked, did not match menu description), Chicken (very bland and dry), and Chicken Caesar Salad ($18 if you add chicken) were duds. First stop after we landed in the city and we basically went off of the reviews and the delicious menu items. Ambiance was pretty chill. Definitely a bar vibe to catch the game and hangout with some friends and/or family. Now the server could've done a little bit better with his service. He never introduced his name and never checked on us. When he took our order he was just doing it so quickly and never really took time to explain to us the menu or any recommendations. Other than his carelessness the food made up for the crappy service this guy gave us! The dip was so damn delicious and cheesy and the bacon was so crispy and good on the top. Next the wings were tasty even though he messed up and forgot we wanted the bbq wings but ordered buffalo and when I double checked that he got the right order I'm sure he ran to the back to have them fix his mistake. The sauce was good but it definitely tasted like they just threw the sauce we wanted on top of the buffalo wing sauce that the server messed up on. Anyway it was still good and even better leftovers. Bacon onion dip is a must order, bacon, onion, and cream cheese topped with buttery parmesan cheese, would order a second bowl if I wasn't having a sandwich. We were planning on eating at a chain restaurant but the wait was over 2 hours. We seen Melt and decided to see what the wait was there. Just over 15 mins and we were sat at a table. While waiting the bartender made the most amazing drinks I have ever had! The frozen Strawberry Peach with Prosecco, peach schnapps strawberry and peach purée. I will be dreaming about this drink long after I'm gone. For dinner we ordered the baked potato pie and the roasted pear salad. For sure one of the best meals we had while visiting Myrtle Beach! The staff here is beyond egregious. To start , I called ahead of time to verify I could still purchase food at which it was around 11:30pm. That call started with extreme noise ,which wasn't a problem but, I was greeted with laughter and I thought I was unheard until they playfully repeated my inquiry about purchasing food. That should've been my sign but I attended anyway. Once there , my server was extremely rude, refusing to correct my order that she placed in error. She also had an attitude when a member of my party disliked the daiquiri because it tasted like rubbing alcohol. When returning my card after payment she placed the tray on table so aggressively it caused my card to shoot across the table. And as if that wasn't enough, they refused to remove the 18% gratuity from my bill,saying it was printed on the "late night menu" and when I notified them that was not mandatory, they told me I was an asshole and told me I didn't have to come back! I tried to speak with the manager and he met me at the door and refused to let me enter or speak my concerns. If you respect yourself and your hard earned money, bypass this place by all means!!!! The red sauce was good but could have been a little more flavorful but the Buffalo Chicken Pizza was very tasty.
