Ordered a delivery order for the "pretzel" bites, a calzone and two of their cookies. The "pretzel" bites should not be called pretzel bites but rather pizza dough bites. They were chewy and tough. The calzone was made from the same dough and the majority of it was nearly flat, like a thin crust pizza. The cheese was tough and chewy as well. The cookies were fair. All in all, we ate two to three dough bites and 1/3 of the calzone because it simply was not good. Taste was below average and the dough was tough and chewy. I have eaten here many times and I always like the food. They have an excellent pizza crust and I love their Stromboli. They have some good drinks and their chocolate chip cookie is amazing. I also like their salads, they are fresh and flavorful. My only downside is that sometimes the service is a little lacking but it depends on time of day how busy the staff seems to be. Also, it is a bit expensive but I do feel the quality is good so I still come back. Overall, great experience and I will continue to eat here. read more

The food was delicious and phenomenal for a pizza. However, my experience here wasn't as great or expected to be. We came here with two families to celebrate my friend's daughter's birthday. We waited on initially, but need to say it wasn't our waitress fault because had her working the bar and waiting on our table in the bar area. It was pretty busy, but again they should have kept our waitress taking of the bar and not our table. We would watch other waiters and waitresses take care of everyone pretty quick. We asked another waitress who or where do our waitress go because we needed drink refills and we wanted to order another pizza and some more drinks. But after waiting so long we just decided to wait on the food and cash out quickly because out experience today wasn't what we expected. I am not blaming our waitress, to me the management should have kept a person full time at the bar and not doing both bar duty and waiting on tables. Other than my bad experience here. We enjoyed our meal here. The pizza is great! Their spinach dip was amazing. The pretzel bites with garlic and Parmesan (basically garlic knots) were tasty and dipped in the spinach dip was 10/10. I've been to a number of Mellow Mushrooms in the US. It was fun to stumble across this location near Savannah, GA. We shared a small Greek Salad and. medium Funky Chicken Pizza. We had beer too. I had a real yummy draft Stout. The salad was their twist on a Greek Salad. We enjoyed it. The pizza was essentially a BBQ Chicken pizza with a mix of Cheddar and Mozzarella cheeses. We really enjoyed it and their crust is amazing. Too much food though. We thought we could eat a medium pizza between us but with the beer and salad, we could only eat half of it. read more

Craving for quality pizza - Mellow's the place to be! We did a curbside pickup due to the pandemic so the review doesn't cover ambience. However, they have recently opened their dining services as well. ~~ Food ~~ Fresh hand-made speciality pizzas : unusual delicious combinations . My all time favorite : the Holy Shiitake Pie! It's topped shiitake and a blend of other roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions and drizzled with delicious garlic aoili and truffle oil . It's absolutely delicious : a must try! They also have hoagies and sandwiches. They have Vegetarian and Vegan options. This time we ordered a half & half combination of of the Holy Shiitake and Veg out pies. Both sides of the pie were delightful. ~~ Service ~~ They offer both delivery and curbside service - however delivery only if you order online since it's done by DoorDash. I generally prefer to call since I can ask about substitutions and specials that I might not be able view to online. The person who took the order on call was very friendly and helpful with the choices. Approximately 20 minutes later we pulled into the ToGo spot and promptly received our order. I must add, the staff were all wearing masks, including the girl who brought us the order. ~~ Parking ~~ Plenty of parking available and also has ToGo spots for quick pick-ups. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a mellow mushroom fan. I haven't been here in maybe a year and they change the bread on the cheese bread. Bartender said they changed suppliers. One less thing I can over indulge in because I wont be ordering it again. Couldnt finish it. I'm crying. The other bread was crispy and had seeds on it. This is kind of like toasted white bread. Waiting on my cinnamon pretzel as I type this, fingers crossed the pizza dough hasn't changed as well. There is a guy training behind the bar and um, no customer service skills whatsoever. When I return he will not be waiting on me. I mean hes not the one serving me, but when I make eye contact he doesnt say hello, give a half smile or nothing. Is he nervous maybe? So I'm a little biased when it comes to mellow mushroom because it's my favorite chain restaurant. However this location proved once again why I love this place. Great staff and excellent food. Everything cooked well, drinks rolled out quickly and worth the 7 bucks a glass. They have some seasonal drinks out now and I recommend giving the Jack Frost and Santa's Sleigh a try. Jack Frost is a slushy drink and the other is a typical mix drink, both are on point. Santa's sleigh is a vodka based drink with pineapple and cranberry juice. Every time we come here the hostess always seems like a deer in the headlights and makes our visit subpar from the start. We are never acknowledged when coming in and then they seem lost. The atmosphere at this mellow mushroom was different than any other I have been to. It felt like a restaurant/sports bar and everyone seemed to be having a good time. They had drink specials on a Friday night which isn't to usual for restaurants unless your in a social bar. I ordered the calzone with steak and cheese. This pizza is by far, the best pizza we have had since we moved to GA. We passed this place the other day and thought we should check it out. I was a bit skeptical at first, because all the other pizza places we have been to haven't exactly been stellar. I love the atmosphere of the place and all the décor. It smells like fresh pizza (which it is), and the staff was so nice. We ordered drinks, which were delicious, and then appetizers. I had the spinach artichoke dip (delish!) and we also had the pretzel dip. We ordered the house pizza, and the place was very flexible with its topping switch-out policy. The food was exquisite! The thin crust was crunchy, which was amazing. While yes, the prices are a little high, the awesome pizza/appetizers was definitely worth it. 5 stars, would highly recommend. read more

When did pretzel bites have garlic and no salt and served with red pasta sauce? Especially the pizza, it was good but half of my toppings fell off trying to take my first bite. The cheese is the only thing that saved this place and the breading. But for pretzel bites and a large pizza it costed $50. When I asked for Parmesan cheese for to go they were accommodating and the pizza bakers prepared it for me. I am only demoting them 1 star because I would have rather had a pepperoni and cheese pizza but they were out of pepperonis when I called. We spent the day in Savannah on St. Paddy's Day and wanted a break from the madness somewhere where we could watch some March Madness. Since all of the sports bars in Savannah were in the heart of the action, we made the drive to Pooler to stop by Mellow Mushroom. I've been to Mellow Mushroom in both North Carolina and Texas. It's a hippie pizza chain that sprinkles magical goodness on their dough and in their dough. I don't know what it is but their pizza tastes different than any other pizza I've had...in a good way. This location was in a large shopping center so finding parking wasn't tough. We ended up ordering the pretzel bites appetizer which comes with a cheese dipping sauce. We then shared a barbeque chicken pizza. Both were great and it was a lot of food! We were stuffed and still had some leftover to take with us. The downside was that our waitress was really slow. She barely came by to check on us and I had to make efforts to get her attention every time I needed something. Also, their WiFi, which they do have, wasn't working when I was there. We stop here a couple times per year on our way to Richmond Va and back to Florida. Always look forward to the pizza. Ordered wings - they were dried out and served with carrots and celery that should never have come out of the kitchen. Rubbery and brown. Pointed out to bartender. Asked her to share with manager. She apologized. Not sure she shared with manager as there wasn't any acknowledgement that this was passed on to the kitchen. Mellow Mushroom is a very family friendly type of restaurant. It was actually pretty packed and there seemed to be kids at almost all of the tables. If you need to catch a game, there's a bar on the right side of the restaurant.
