I am gluten free. This restaurant served me the worst gluten free crust I have ever eaten. It looked like cardboard, felt like cardboard and tasted like cardboard. There are many places that serve good gluten free pizza. This is not one. read more

Mellow Mushroom Evans - Gluten free crust. I did not enjoy it. - Pizza Near Me - Evans, Georgia

The one downtown is better and the staff is more friendly plus if you eat outside good luck getting refills or hearing anyone cause of the fact your sitting in front of traffic. read more

Every time I've been to this particular mellow mushroom it has been a pleasant experience. One time they forgot about our order, but made it up to us by covering the meal, including drinks and appetizers. Holy shiitake is my favorite however I always have heartburn afterward :( read more

Always our local goto for pizza, wings and beer. Used to go to the "other" pizza place, but their kitchen is too slow and the bar crowd got kind of weird. read more

I've ordered Mellow Mushroom pizza for many years. It's great! They do a wonderful job. Tonight I ordered by phone. The young lady took my card number after my order so it would be paid for when my daughter came to pick it up. I ended up going to pick up the order, which they said would take an hour. When I got there they asked for my card again. I explained that I had already paid by phone. They said that whoever is took my order by phone must have written my card number down but not entered it into the computer. So I asked for the piece of paper where my card number was written down. They could not find it and said she may have thrown it in the trash can. I was very upset that my card number was taken and not respected. No one should take your card number and write it down then lose it or throw it away. It should have been entered into the computer system as I gave it to her. They would not tell me who took my order and she did not give her name by phone. I had to go back out to my car and get the card again and pay for it again, hoping that I would not be charged $50 twice. This is very unprofessional and I will not be ordering with a card number by phone again. This was not handled in a Safe way at all. I feel like I need to cancel my card now. I'm very disappointed in Mellow Mushroom staff & have lost my trust in them to keep payment methods secure. read more

Such a great spot! No matter how busy, we always get the best service and the best food! Top notch place for sure!

I loved the calzone I had and the atmosphere is great with classic rock and dancing mushroom paraphernalia everywhere. Trippy for sure. A great choice for lunch or dinner read more

Pizza is awesome and the salad is crazy good. I always loved this place and it continues to get better. Just got holy shitake pie and a chef salad with the house dressing, both were out of this world. read more

I've been to a lot of them across Georgia, I usually get the cheesy bread and pizza. Never have had a bad experience, good food and really nice staff. Pleasant, family friendly place to eat. read more

Usually, I like my pizzas either deep dish Chicago-style, or thin crust New York-style. I just moved here from Chicago, where I was spoiled by all the great pizza places. But nonetheless, I'm a big fan of pizza, even if it's not Chicago or New York style. Pizza is like sex, right? I've never been to Mellow Mushroom. In fact, I've never even heard of it. Apparently it's a franchise. I didn't actually dine in the restaurant, so my review is basically of only the pizza and to a lesser extent the service. The menu is pretty interesting, with a few specialized pizzas that looked encouraging. I phoned in an order for pizza, specifically the Maui Wowie. I was told it would be about 20-25 minutes. Hungry, I arrived at exactly 20 minutes, fully expecting that I would probably have to wait a few minutes. I was told I could wait at the bar, which I did........patiently. The bartender kindly asked if I wanted something to drink. Nah, I'll just wait for my pizza and be on my way, should just be a few more minutes, right? The inside is your standard pizza joint and sports bar combination, open kitchen layout. I make eye contact with the bartender every so often, just to let her know I'm still waiting. About another 45 minutes goes by. At this point, my big guts are eating my little guts. I'm watching the Olympic on TV, trying to pass the time. I've finally had it, I'm gonna complain, which I rarely do. The bartender asks my name, checks the back, and brings my pizza. I noticed that it was slightly cool, as if it had been sitting there for a while. I'm so hungry at this point, I didn't even have the energy to complain. In regards to the pizza...it's pretty good...chicken, pesto, banana peppers, pineapple. I'd probably order it again, but I haven't decided if I'm coming back yet. Slow....slow....slow. Pizza is like sex...when it's bad...it's still pretty good. read more

The food was excellent as usual; however, the service was horrible. Our waitress did not come back to check on us not once after dropping the food off. We waited over 25 minutes for a refill and finally I had to go over to the group of 9 employees (including our waitress) who were congregated and socializing at the front hostess stand. Apparently the staff at this location would rather socialize versus actually providing customer service. I will continue visiting Mellow Mushroom, just not at this location! read more

After eating he holy shiitake pizza multiple times I think I've found my favorite pie in Georgia. You better love mushrooms or this isn't for you. For me, it's a dream come true. I highly recommend this place and I'm very glad my first less than great experience wasn't my last here. read more

my husband told me we'd go get pizza, so i went out in my pajamas thinking we were grabbing take-out...lol, nope. it's a sit in joint. but it's awesome! the pizza is super great and i was really impressed by their variety of toppings, including lots of vegetarian and vegan options. i really loved the white pizza i had loaded with veggies (fresh and sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, and broccoli). the dough knots were yummy too, a big portion even for two people and served with marinara & beer cheese (not something i've ever had before, but so delicious i stopped the waitress to ask about it so i can get it again). i haven't experienced their bar yet as i was totally not dressed for it, but i can't wait to go back and try. we just moved here and this is definitely my favorite restaurant so far! read more

Mellow Mushroom Evans - Pizza Near Me - Evans, Georgia

Tonight was my first Mellow Mushroom experience. I really enjoyed it! First of all, the atmosphere and decor is very fun, reminds me of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland. More importantly, they have a very extensive (I stopped counting at 30) beer selection- tons of micro-brews and to my delight, some of the West Coast's best are represented. The Pizza was very good. I custom ordered my own, the pizza was on the thin side (I actually prefer it this way) and the actual crust was crisp and puffy with the perfect amount of doughy-ness on the inside. It was a little on the salty side, but I think that was more because of the salami and sausage that I ordered than the pizza itself. My buddy ordered their buffalo chicken pizza, which had a perfect mix of buffalo chicken wing sauce and blue cheese, with good portions of chicken that weren't overcooked! The service was prompt with just the right amount of attentiveness. I would recommend this place to friends and will definitely be going back while I'm here in GA. For pricing: I ordered a large 6 topping pizza (4 veggies and 2 meats) and a pint of Rogue Dead-Guy Ale on draft and it came out to $32 with tax. I think probably a little more expensive than other places in the area, but on par with what I'm used to from Cali and Hawaii, and certainly worth it flavor-wise. Although I eat a lot, there was enough that I still had half of a pizza to bring back for leftovers. So really it's only $13 a pizza for each meal (if you take out the beer). read more

My honey and I headed over to mellow mushroom for dinner. We both were famished and needed protein and carbs in our system ASAP. I've been to several mellows and never have been disappointed. My sweetie started with a beer and ordered a calzone with chicken, cheese, onion, pineapple, and peppers. I started with a small Greek salad and a medium house special pie that basically had every meat possible and some veggies. The salad was pleasing and I finished it pretty quickly. Both of us waited patiently twirling the knives having conversation about anything to distract us from the rumbling sounds in our stomachs. Then we both saw it...... A young girl with Two trays approaching our booth one hand carrying the calzone and the other majestic pie of heaven. Yes!! We immediately grabbed our knife and forks and dug into the food. There was no words spoken except sounds of enjoyment. After several bites I asked my honey what he thought of his calzone. He exclaimed that it was appetizing and the dough and meat ratio was balanced. My house special pie was delightful. The only con was the bottom layer of the pizza was soggy due to the amount of ingredients sitting on top. The liquids from the tomatoes is a factor to the softness. Otherwise everything was great and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. Also mellow mushroom is supportive to the military so that is A+ in my book! read more

Pros: amazing pizza. MM pizza is really its own thing, mainly due to their crust, which I frequently order in the form of pretzels! Toppings are always great, especially the meatballs. Calzones are huge. Kids love it. Beer selection is fantastic. Cons: Can get very noisy, and they can be hectic at times. Drinks are pricey, but I guess you've got to cover your overhead. Salads are usually good, although I've had consistently better salads at their downtown location. read more

It has been really good both times I've gone. Good beer selection, especially on draught. Even when it was super busy and packed service was fine and food/ drinks were great. read more

Always yummy! The meatball appetizer is one of my favorites. the lunch portobello stuffed mushroom is a nice change if you are skipping carbs. Both area locations are good but i prefer the cooler bohemian vibe of the downtown location. read more

The pizza is always good here. I love that they don't charge extra to change out an ingredient on a pizza. We ordered pretzel bites that were really more like dough balls. They tasted great despite the fact that they weren't really pretzels. There's lots of booths. This is great for us because a booth is much easier when you have a little one with you. We've been here a few times and have never been disappointed with the pizza (thus the 5 stars) and have had excellent waitstaff most of the time. They even have vegan pizza options!!! read more

Really good pizza! Worth visiting. Location is clean and has a 1960s~1970s groovy atmosphere. Would have given 4 stars but the pepperoni was not as flavorful as other pizzas from NYC area. The crust is really good and edible too which would make this more like 3.5 stars instead of 3 stars rating. I plan to revisit. read more

One of my favorite places in Augusta to get a pizza and some beer. We have two kids and it is always loud enough to mask the craziness of my kids. Also the floors are concrete so any mess they make is easily cleaned read more

I came into this location for the first time tonight and ordered the veg-out. It's a house speciality and is pretty consistent company-wide, so I figured I'd be good to go. WRONG. I asked for two standard and simple substitutions, but the subs weren't honored when I got the pie. The pie needed an extra 10-15 minutes in the oven once home and of greater concern the extra marinara I requested came with a piece of the bar tenders wash cloth in it. I'll REALLY be needing a slice before I head here again. Smh. read more

Best pizza in csra so far. Cool theme. Didnt know it was a chain cause the food doesnt taste like one. Mushroom pizza and bacon and potato is my fav. Yea you wouldn't think it but it works. Fun decorations and theme. Only try to piZza and prob stay that way. read more

This place is awesome! They have such a wide variety of appetizers and entrees, definitely a good spread of choices for everyone in your group. A gang of five friends and I usually come here for trivia Tuesdays and it's a blast! The pizzas are really good. I usually go for a boring pepperoni, but some others in the group get the Magical Mystery Tour (a pesto based pizza with mushrooms, spinach, jalapeño, and cheese galore all on a pesto basted crust!) (also available gluten-free!) and they love it. They also have a pretty wide selection of beers on tap to choose from. The price range isn't anything too crazy either. All in all, it's a fun restaurant for groups with a wide selection of foods and beers for good times with friends. read more

The food is wonderful, of course, but it's obvious that in order to be a waitress here you have to be a pretty, skinny, white female. Just a little off putting knowing that someone not fitting that description probably did not get the job based on looks. read more

Food is decent and fresh....service is complete crap and you are likely to wait a very, very long time.....not the place to eat if you are planning to make it to a movie read more

Salads are always wilted. I think they dress the Cesar salad and store it in the fridge for hours.

Really delicious pizza, amazing appetizers, delicious salads, and pretty good cocktails. I recommend the Greek salad, the pretzel bites, and the red skin potato pie. The only downfall is it is very expensive! For a large specialty pie and two side salads and a water we spent over $50 before a tip. read more

Not bad at all. The pizza is pretty good and the prices are somewhat expected, but overall Mellow Mushroom is a pretty decent pizza joint for the Augusta area. read more

Perhaps this place should be renamed "Mediocre Mushroom". The food was extremely overpriced considering the quality was on par with store brand frozen pizza. After ordering a single pizza, 10 wings, and a small side salad the bill was over $50. Did I mention that fountain drinks were nearly $2.50 each? The pizza was cool when it got to our table even though we waited for over a half hour (we were one of only two families in the restaurant) and most of the vegetables on the pizza were completely raw. The sauce tasted like crushed tomatoes blended with no other ingredients. If you're in the mood for pizza there are better options out there. read more

My personal favorite place in Augusta for pizza. I love the selection, the vegetarian options, the pretzel-ish crust on the pies, the beer selection...there's something for everyone here. The pies are a bit pricey, but they don't skimp on toppings and their slices are more filling than most other pizzas. Their salads and appetizers are great, and the couple times I've gotten a sandwich here I've enjoyed it. This place can get loud on the weekends (super high ceilings echoing the noise back down in the dining area), but that's my only minor gripe. I prefer this location to the downtown one - nicer area, larger restaurant. We tend to rotate what we get pretty often, but we come back to the Holy Shiitake Pie alot - it's even my anti-vegetarian hubby's favorite, despite having no meat. read more

Good Place, Good Food, Kid Friendly, Personal was polite

Smoking the good stuff will tend to delay your order. It's still good but join them and get the munchies

Will never come to this location again! Our waitress was rude and short and would constantly walk away before we could finish ordering, from drinks to the kids meals. Then somehow our 36 dollar bill turnes into 51 when i looked at my account. Highly doubt i would tip a bad waiter 15 dollars lucky we "attempted" to give 5. Other than the experience the food is decent but the person dealing with your meal always plays a big role. I guess we will stick to pizza joint. read more

One of my favorites, I always head in and get some dough bites, and a pepperoni pizza. They have the best dough, and it makes you want to eat the pizza backwards. When my boyfriend and I go, we eat and at the end, we just pick the crust off the leftovers and eat that, because it's too good to waste! It's ways amazing, and the service is decent. The only problem I've had in there was the wait time, but usually when something takes awhile, the waiter will come and apologize and they will even take something off our check, usually our appetizer, which is what is usually late. But it's definitely a frequently visited and favorite spot! And so well decorated inside, it's a fun place to eat! read more

Always fantastic service. Mellow mushroom hires the best servers in Evans hands down.

My husband and I decided to come during happy hour- $1 off draft beer, $2 off cocktails & house wine, and 25 % appetizers. We started with the stuff portobello mushroom (pictured) it was very good! We also ordered the Maui Wowi pizza- jerk chicken & veggies, it was amazing! Would recommend the Kentucky Sunrise cocktail- absolutely delicious! Great beer selection. Definitely will be back! read more
