My husband and I came here for lunch. Everything sounded so good. I went in there thinking I just wanted pizza, and then I looked over the menu. Just when i thought i knew what i wanted, i turned the page and found something else i wanted. I ended up ordering way more than we needed.... maybe i have a problem. In all fairness, the first half of the menu is Italian food, and then it switches over to Mexican. So, i can't really be blamed. We started off with cheese dip, which comes with chips and salsa. We also ordered zeppoles as an appetizer. Then, my husband and I split a spicy chicken salad. Sorry we ate all of that before I thought to take a picture. Next, we dove into the large pizza pie, which was really good. It's a nice thin crust just how i like it. We also ordered a small personal sized white pizza to try out. Food is usually pretty good... in fact, this has been our place for mexican food. Unfortunately the service is constantly terrible. "Oh you have a table Of 5, here is a small thing of chips and one small thing of salsa... now let me disappear for 15 minutes." You always see the employees sitting behind the counter on their phones while you need drink refills. Every time we go there I end up having to get up more than once and walk to the counter and ask for something we need. We used to just accept the terrible service since the food is good and the prices are reasonable, but after yesterday I don't believe we will be going back. read more

We have ate here a few times when we're in the area. We love that they have a variety of different foods options to choose from and if you have a picky eater they are surely to find something on the menu they will enjoy. We usually stick with the salads, pastas, or pizza, but my husband has also enjoyed Mexican dishes from here as well. My daughter loves their fettuccine Alfredo and lasagna. We ordered a small meat lovers pizza and an order of chicken Alfredo for lunch. The pizza was for my spouse and they said it wasn't anything great. The taste was similar to a pizza you'd get at CiCi's Pizza. I had the alfredo and it lacked seasoning. I don't mean anything extravagant. I mean it lacked a minimum of salt and pepper. Overall the food is inoffensive. A good place to take picky eaters or people that can't tolerate seasonings. It filled us up but the likelihood of returning is slim to none. read more

Okay so I really like this restaurant I don't really see many Italian restaurants in Harlem so this is one of the best ones I went to. The spaghetti that I purchased was really great but I thought it was supposed to come with garlic bread and I actually asked did it come and garlic bread and the young man told me yes it did but I didn't receive it. The desert that I also purchased was the zeppole with different sauces my strawberry caramel white chocolate and chocolate. We had eight of us. It took a while for them to bring the menu after we sat down. Then, when they brought the menu, one lady said she was training the young man that was the only time we saw her until the check was brought. He came out a couple of times, but didn't bring all the drinks at one time he had forgotten what two of them are and all the food came out bits and pieces, sub sandwiches, pizzas for the kids and the baked stuff for me and my daughter-in-law and for one of the children had macaroni and cheese it was the kind that you buy from the grocery store. It was not good macaroni you could look at the noodles and tell they got those from the grocery store straight tiny little pieces of macaroni. It was not Quality and the baked spaghetti I got had a metallic taste. I gave it to my daughter-in-law to take home for their kids cause she said they need it. The place looks nice, but they're still a good bit of training to do by the crew. Evidently a good number of them are still in training And evidently the back needs training too because normally you arrange for all the food to come out at one time. And when I went into the ladies room right after I got there when everybody else had come in, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. There was not even a spot to put toilet paper.. And it was rather pricey. I do hope to get their act together because I think if they just get their act together, they'll be a nice place but they need a lot more practice. read more

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent order. On Saturday, I called from the Atlanta area to place an order for two- double pepperoni/double sausage calzones for pickup. Upon pickup, my cousin was informed of an undercharge and forced to pay the difference, which inexplicably increased from the initially quoted $4-5 to $8. (Its not about the money) Your internal accounting errors are your responsibility, not the customer's. Furthermore, the calzones themselves were a complete disappointment. Despite explicitly ordering double meat, the fillings were sparse and unevenly distributed. One calzone contained a small amount of sausage in one corner and a thin layer of pepperoni on the other, while the cheese was also inconsistently applied. While the limited filling we did receive was palatable, the overall quality fell drastically short of expectations, especially given the staff's insistence on correcting the supposed undercharge. If you are going to be so meticulous about billing, you should be equally meticulous about fulfilling orders accurately and generously. read more

I was really wanting to love this place. I've been looking for a pizzeria with NY/NJ Italian food. We ordered the second largest pie. It wasn't cooked through, and half the pie was crust. The crust was a double crust. They put dough down around the top and laid a smaller pie on it, trying to enlarge a smaller pie. You can see it in the pictures. And that made it for raw dough. The taste was average where there was sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. They need to work on the sauce. Four people, 3 slices left. Never usually the case. The price for this pie was $21.50. Online menus are outdated. Restaurant is smaller sized. It was crowded when I went and people walking to the front were basically running their tails along the edges of tables. read more

We consistently drive here from Evans to either get their calzones, pizza or ravioli dinner. Nowhere else in the CSRA comes close to making these 3 meals as well. They get really busy, but we usually don't need to wait for a table or booth. Service is spot on. read more

Decided to get take out last week and ordered the Cuban sandwich, it's not like the real deal but it was fresh and a very good rendition (although one was kinda greasy) of the classic authentic and the fries are oddly shaped but decent enough (a battered fry kinda in a quarter moon shape, almost looks like gnocchi) So today I ordered for three, a gyro sandwich and fries ( again a good rendition but not authentic, and I'm digging those fries still) A stuffed mushroom salad and a the hit man Stromboli (the mushrooms were cold, and the calzone was skimpy on the the meat portion, but the veggies were in abundance, the marinara sauce was less than desirable) but the meal overall was decent A penne and sausage bake that came with a side salad (pasta was dry because the lack of adequate marinara sauce, and the garlic toast was missing from the meal, thank goodness we had leftover sauce from the Stromboli) but still overall good I'll definitely give them another shot but the restaurant needs to step up attention to detail, if they want to continue to charge the prices they do. read more

The food was not good. Not picture worthy. An Italian restaurant owned by a Mexican family is what the server told us. She said even she was confused. The tacos were blah. The rice and beans lacked flavor. The highlight was the homemade salsa for my tacos. I think the only reason this place is rated the way it is is because there are very few choices in Harlem. read more

I went in amd had the calzone. It was okay but not fully cooked, the outside was done but the inside was not cooked. There was no ricotta cheese inside which is very saddening. My husband and I like to go here on nights when we want to eat out close to home. It's easy to get to in Harlem, and the food is great. They have a decent selection of bottled beer as well. My husband and I ordered pasta dishes. I had the penne eggplant parmigiana (it had a different name on the menu) and my husband had the baked cheese ravioli. Both orders came with a house salad and garlic bread. I gave Armando's five stars because it was clean, friendly, and the pasta dishes actually tasted like those I had at family-owned Italian restaurants in New Jersey. I think that's worth five stars. First visit and was supremely satisfied. Menu is similar to Armando's. After reading all the rave reviews about the pizza my family of four went with the fuhgeddaboudit 18" pizza and a side of popcorn shrimp for the little ones. The pizza was fantastic. One of the best I have ever eaten. And my girls loved the shrimp. Prices are very reasonable and the server was very friendly.
