They closed their previous location at Groesbeck and Metro Parkway and opened a new 25,000 sq. ft. building here on Gratiot Ave. and Quinn in the Clinton Pointe centre. In my talk with Donna, the manager, I learned the store made a $10,000 donation to Care House -- a nonprofit organization that provides hope and healing to victims of abuse in Macomb County.  I'm not positive they truly carry the "high-end designer fashions" they claim to or how competitive their prices really are. Obviously, the facility is clean and spacious. But, the staff are super friendly and there is plenty of free parking. The fact that there is something for everyone in the family makes it an enjoyable shopping experience. BTW, you can find stores in American Samoa, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands and Puerto Rico. The only U.S. state without a T.J. Maxx is.....Alaska. 06/21

While I was in line I even found things just looking at all of the merchandise that they stock the checkout line with. I was able to find a really good price on a Bluetooth speaker which I had been shopping for all day. I actually returned one to Best Buy Earlier that day only to come to Marshalls and find one better than the one that I returned for half the price. This particular store always has lots of surprises since it seems to be off the beaten path for some shoppers. Because the deals are so good be prepared to stand in the line since they usually only have two cashiers working and the line can sometimes take as long as 10 minutes to get checked out. The deals are worth it and the cashiers are very friendly so give them a smile and say thank you on your way out of the store. They really appreciate it. Thank you Roseville Marshalls for always giving me great deals and friendly service whenever I'm in your neighborhood.

When things are running smoothly, you can find some good deals. That said, I'm increasingly disappointed with a few things. During promotions, the store is clearly understaffed, and the lines become excessively long for everyone. It turns what should be a fun, bargain-hunting trip into a frustrating experience. I was also told by a staff member that they are instructed to look up every item online before pricing it and putting it on the floor. That approach might make sense from a business standpoint, but it takes away from the feeling that you're getting a fair "thrift store" deal and can really slow down the process of getting items out for customers. What bothers me most, though, is learning that this is a for-profit-only company that doesn't appear to represent any cause or give back to the community. There are donation bins in front of the store, but there's no clear indication that those donations go to a good cause or help people in need. In contrast, many other resale and thrift stores are transparent about supporting local charities, community programs, or people in need. It's disappointing that Value World doesn't seem to do the same, especially when they rely on donations and present themselves in a way that can easily be mistaken for a charitable thrift store.

From the moment the phone was answered, I could immediately tell the employee was annoyed and had no interest in helping me. Her responses were short and rude things like "yup" and "what do you want?"and the entire interaction felt incredibly unprofessional. I was simply trying to place an order and give this business my money, yet I was made to feel like I was bothering her just by calling. The attitude became so frustrating that I ultimately ended the call rather than continue the conversation. Customer service matters, especially when someone is calling specifically because they want to support your business. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
