Visiting Ollie's is like an amazing field trip. I am always able to find something that is needed…read moreregardless of if I had no intention of purchasing. The staff is very helpful and accommodating.

My #401 Review on June 30, 2022…read more History: Ollie's Bargain Outlet store opened it's first store in 1982 in Pennsylvania and has grown to 315 stores in 23 states. First off this is my opinion from shopping with my Mom a few times in the year 2018 and once in February 2019 before she passed. She certainly enjoyed the variety of items here plus our one hour monthly shopping spree together! On Wednesday, June 29 I met my sister here for the Customer Appreciation month of June plus the celebration of 40 years for Ollie's. I will admit this location in Roseville, has more variety of merchandise from books, clothing, grocery, seasonal, pet supplies, laundry, cleaning, coffee, tea, snacks, toys, shoes, bedding, towels, kitchen gadgets, tools, school supplies, greeting cards, canned goods, Summer items, Garden and Lawn items, Pots and pans, shampoo, makeup, that I saw while pushing the basket and viewing everything. She was the heavy shopper compared to my 5 items. She lives 4 miles away so her comment is "Every week the truck delivers different items, so a customer must stop here weekly and check this store if you are curious or comparing prices from the other popular local stores. I was amazed with the high inventory on shelves in the different departments and end isles that I shopped at. The center areas are stacked as well with season items which currently is Summer. Photos attached as well to assist with my review. Note: I always check the brands here in comparison plus where from along with expiration dates and of course the prices before making a purchase. Ya never know! The upbeat music in here was a bit to loud so a shopper can either enjoy and dance to it lol or be distracted with it while shopping. It was pretty busy with shoppers due to the Special day of 15% off with coupon. There were plenty of shoppers and their baskets going around well with the flow so no basket accidents or incidents that I saw. When it came time to check out my one slight complaint was only two cashiers were working therefore my time to pay was 10 minutes. In closing, Congratulations Ollie's on your merchandise milestone! May this location keep up with the good bargains, pricing, variety of merchandise and continue with their slogan "Good Stuff Cheap!"

We go through a lot of reading glasses in this house. You think we could keep track of them, but it…read moreseems they keep disappearing. The prime suspect: our puppy, who thinks that they are a fun chew toy. At the Rite Aid that's a few blocks from our house, they cost $12.99 for a three pack. On Amazon, the best price I saw worked out to about $2 per pair. You can easily spend $30 for one pair of reading glasses. But here, they cost $1. And, all you get for the extra expense is a fancier frame: the lens is still basically the same. And, everything costs $1 here. I used to think that all dollar stores had the same price structure. But, try going to Dollar General and check the prices there: in this Sunday's flyer, literally everything was MORE than a dollar. I also come here for plates, mugs, and drinking glasses. The quality of the drinking glasses is variable: I had one set that broke after a trip or two through the dishwasher, because the glass was so thin. But, remember, they only cost $1. There is a very good selection here, so if you are perceptive, you can find sturdy drinking glasses. The plates and coffee mugs are comparable to something you would spend several times more to buy at a department store. This is also a great place to go for kitchen tools, like tongs and sieves. So what if they don't have the Sur La Table sheen to them? They still do the job. And, let me clear up something for you in case you are wondering: you are NOT too good to go to the dollar store. Are you too good to save money? I didn't think so.

Things are shoved everywhere on top of racks and tucked in corned and on top of each other, they're getting almost as bad as the dollar tree on 12 and Gratiot which is BAD! I'm very disappointed and have since been trying to branch out to further dollar trees that are more pleasant and easier to shop at. I hope they can turn this around because I miss have a store close by that I love and frequently shop at. Their employees are pleasant to deal with though at check out which is the only reason I haven't completely stopped going here or given a worse review. It is also disappointing because they rarely get newer stock items shown on the dollar tree website and takes forever to have it in stock if you were to order it online and ship it to store. - Fine for a quick stop if you need something unpopular but be prepared to look for it a lot longer than other stores.-

I purchased my wedding band nearly 30 years ago @ said business…read more Recently (September 2025) the prong broke prompting me to return for repairs, while there I decided to UPGRADE my ENGAGEMENT BAND spending over $7000. Unfortunately this experience has been nothing short of a DISASTER!! The LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM & ATTENTION TO DETAIL was DISAPPOINTING. Just as I did nearly 30 years ago I also returned to the outstanding jeweler my husband purchased my beautiful princess cut 2.02 G color grade/S12 clarity diamond stone for a 2nd appraisal which included the upgraded engagement band and the new wedding band, work Michael AGNELLO signed off on and thank goodness I did. Just like anything in life a 2nd opinion, especially when a substantial cost is incurred is beneficial, this is what was discovered & what transpired THE PRINCESS CUT DIAMOND IN MY UPGRADED ENGAGEMENT BAND WAS LOOSE, THE STONE ITSELF WAS NOT CENTERED PROPERLY. THE TINGE WAS NOT MATCHED PROPERLY, WHICH EXPLAINED THE VISIBLE YELLOWING BETWEEN THE NEW WEDDING BAND IN CONTRAST WITH MY UPGRADED ENGAGEMENT BAND. BOTH OF THESE DISAPPOINTING ERRORS, LED TO ADDITIONAL EXPENSES, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OF THE POTENTIAL RISK OF LOSING THE STONE, WHICH IS ALARMING.!!!! THE APPRAISAL(s) MICHAEL AGNELLO SIGNED OFF ON WERE INCOMPLETE, INACCURATE even worse they DID NOT REFLECT THE CORRECT NUMBER OF DIAMONDS AND THEIR VALUE, NO PHOTOS WERE INCLUDED, ADDITIONALLY BOTH HAD THE WRONG DATE/YEAR WHICH RAISES CONCERNS ABOUT ITS RELIABILITY. NO INSURANCE AGENCY WOULD FIND THIS ACCEPTABLE. WHILE AT THE 2nd APPRAISAL APPOINTMENT I CALLED MICHAEL ON HIS CELL PHONE TO ADDESS MY CONCERNS. I had his personal cell # because he phoned me when he understood my initial visit in September was nothing short of a disappointment, he advised me he doesn't like his customers to leave disappointed, this too is misleading as well because it's the end of the year and the disaster goes on While at my appointment for my 2nd appraisal I did advise Michael he was on speaker conveying my concerns. Additionally I advised I tipped the sales lady, Michael was quick to respond "my staff knows not to accept tips" he immediately asked the tipped sales lady about accepting my tip and she was heard replying "I gave it to you" This contradictory information from the owner was further misleading, along with the quality issues of the bands, the botched appraisals which causes alarm as a consumer all of which left an extremely bad impression and further illustrates the lack of professionalism of his establishment When I attempted to discuss these issues with Michael he was rude. In fact, he was telling me to relax and considering the circumstances and discovery of these errors I was and then .... HE HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I wasn't the only one listening to him as I had him on speaker so there is no way around this should he refute I've noticed on previous reviews Michael disputing they're not so unique situations similar to mine further disregarding customer service and professionalism of a business owner downplaying and dismissing their concerns as well These are facts despite whatever Michael may claim especially with the documents with his signature signing off on them. I had hoped for a professional resolution rather than being compelled to resort to social media advocacy for others who might share or face similar challenges with his business however he choose to disregard my email requesting a call instead; SILENCE IS HIS ANSWER!!!! Overall; I cannot recommend this business, it's disheartening to see a business with such a long standing reputation fails to uphold its COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMERS ONE STAR IS GENEROUS BECAUSE ZERO IS NOT AN OPTION BUYERS BEWARE AND BE SMART BEFORE OPENING UP YOUR WALLETS AND YOUR HEARTS TO BE MET WITH DISAPPOINTMENT TO THE STAFF ON SITE, BE PLEASANT AND MORE APPEALING OPPOSED TO THE SOMBER FEELING OF THE ENVIRONMENT Happy New Year!! My goal with this review is ADVOCACY for future clients so they don't find themselves in a similar situation.

A few years ago, I walked into this place for the first time. I found the DVD, The Amityville…read moreHorror and asked how much it was. "$1.25." The associate told me. I was stunned. I asked the price of a few different items, and the same lady (with an amused look on her face) said "$1.25" each time. So, obviously, it took me a bit to realize that this was an ACTUAL dollar store. I am more familiar with the Family Dollar chain, which is not remotely a dollar store, so at first thought the Dollar Tree was a similar situation. Fortunately, I can laugh at myself, as I'm sure that clerk did when I left the store that day. To her credit, she was very nice to my face. In fact, every employee I've encountered here has been very nice. That's saying a lot because this is a high-traffic store that often has long lines. If you can deal with dozens of customers a day and still be friendly and polite, you are a rock star of a human. One star off because this location seems to be perpetually cluttered. I've been to a few different Dollar Trees now, and most of them are significantly more ordered and tidy. It's not too big of a deal. I still always manage to find something useful or fun to buy. But I have learned that some of the stock is temporary (like the DVDs), so if you see something you want you better snatch it up or it might not be available again.

This Dollar tree used to be one of my favorites because it had SO MANY OPTIONS, unfortunately,…read moreevery time I've been in here recently it looks like a tornado hit it. Items all over the store are in disarray, nothing is stocked, it's dirty and has zero organization. I would have given it lower stars, however, the employees here is what accounts for the 3 stars. They are sooo sweet and look out for the customer. I popped in there and got some batteries and the cashier offered to get me a bigger pack of the same kind so I'd get more for my buck. I thought that was extremely thoughtful of her and appreciated it very much. That alone will be why I return to this store because it is RARE to see an employee care even in a small way like that. I'm sorry I didn't note your name DT employee but just know - I see you girl! And you're appreciated!

I've shopped at Value World many times and there are definitely some positives worth mentioning…read more The staff I've interacted with have always been very friendly and knowledgeable, and I really appreciate the promotions and discounts they offer on a regular basis. When things are running smoothly, you can find some good deals. That said, I'm increasingly disappointed with a few things. During promotions, the store is clearly understaffed, and the lines become excessively long for everyone. It turns what should be a fun, bargain-hunting trip into a frustrating experience. I was also told by a staff member that they are instructed to look up every item online before pricing it and putting it on the floor. That approach might make sense from a business standpoint, but it takes away from the feeling that you're getting a fair "thrift store" deal and can really slow down the process of getting items out for customers. What bothers me most, though, is learning that this is a for-profit-only company that doesn't appear to represent any cause or give back to the community. There are donation bins in front of the store, but there's no clear indication that those donations go to a good cause or help people in need. In contrast, many other resale and thrift stores are transparent about supporting local charities, community programs, or people in need. It's disappointing that Value World doesn't seem to do the same, especially when they rely on donations and present themselves in a way that can easily be mistaken for a charitable thrift store.
