Making a quick stop here with my mom in Roseville spend some dollar bills. Do lunch at Kerby's next door 99 cent Coney hot dogs this month??
    Karen N.

Well after entering and shopping at this location, on a quick stop due to being in the area of a strip plaza of stores, I can definitely say this location is the worse Dollar Tree I've seen. Thank goodness I only bought 2 rolls of wrapping paper and 2 cards for $1.00 and a package of AA batteries. Upon walking in i noticed dirty, stained, and filthy carpeting plus every aisle I walked up and down. The greeting cards isle was great well stacked and wrapping paper also party supplies. Naturally the school supply aisle and toys, books was disorganized. Cut down the snack grocery isle to determine something smelled bad down, so didn't care to step to see what was spoiled. Moved on to cleaning supplies and an employee was unpacking boxes so she was working and talking on her cell at same time. I noticed something odd that a lot of the Isles had balloons floating in the ceiling so they did not have all the dollar mylar balloons kept in a secure net area. Lol so you just grab one while it's floating around the store if you care to buy it or what ?? A very disorganized rundown store. maybe the front of the parking lot look nice AND the front of the door but the inside was just unreal. I went to check out with my wrapping paper and cards and there were 5 people in front of me, 1 register only open and the girl working the register looked like she was in high school.. never stop here when driving in the area on Gratiot .. pass it by and just keep cruising.. maybe I'll start looking and shopping at Family Dollar or Dollar General when I need a dollar item because I keep striking out.. on three different ones. Although I haven't tried the Dollar Tree on Hall Road at Romeo Plank so that'll be my future Yelp.

    I don't know since it's not open

It's 9:41 am and there is a line of customers outside the store is not open like it should be this has to be the worst dollar tree ever.

My #401 Review on June 30, 2022…read more History: Ollie's Bargain Outlet store opened it's first store in 1982 in Pennsylvania and has grown to 315 stores in 23 states. First off this is my opinion from shopping with my Mom a few times in the year 2018 and once in February 2019 before she passed. She certainly enjoyed the variety of items here plus our one hour monthly shopping spree together! On Wednesday, June 29 I met my sister here for the Customer Appreciation month of June plus the celebration of 40 years for Ollie's. I will admit this location in Roseville, has more variety of merchandise from books, clothing, grocery, seasonal, pet supplies, laundry, cleaning, coffee, tea, snacks, toys, shoes, bedding, towels, kitchen gadgets, tools, school supplies, greeting cards, canned goods, Summer items, Garden and Lawn items, Pots and pans, shampoo, makeup, that I saw while pushing the basket and viewing everything. She was the heavy shopper compared to my 5 items. She lives 4 miles away so her comment is "Every week the truck delivers different items, so a customer must stop here weekly and check this store if you are curious or comparing prices from the other popular local stores. I was amazed with the high inventory on shelves in the different departments and end isles that I shopped at. The center areas are stacked as well with season items which currently is Summer. Photos attached as well to assist with my review. Note: I always check the brands here in comparison plus where from along with expiration dates and of course the prices before making a purchase. Ya never know! The upbeat music in here was a bit to loud so a shopper can either enjoy and dance to it lol or be distracted with it while shopping. It was pretty busy with shoppers due to the Special day of 15% off with coupon. There were plenty of shoppers and their baskets going around well with the flow so no basket accidents or incidents that I saw. When it came time to check out my one slight complaint was only two cashiers were working therefore my time to pay was 10 minutes. In closing, Congratulations Ollie's on your merchandise milestone! May this location keep up with the good bargains, pricing, variety of merchandise and continue with their slogan "Good Stuff Cheap!"

I've shopped at Value World many times and there are definitely some positives worth mentioning…read more The staff I've interacted with have always been very friendly and knowledgeable, and I really appreciate the promotions and discounts they offer on a regular basis. When things are running smoothly, you can find some good deals. That said, I'm increasingly disappointed with a few things. During promotions, the store is clearly understaffed, and the lines become excessively long for everyone. It turns what should be a fun, bargain-hunting trip into a frustrating experience. I was also told by a staff member that they are instructed to look up every item online before pricing it and putting it on the floor. That approach might make sense from a business standpoint, but it takes away from the feeling that you're getting a fair "thrift store" deal and can really slow down the process of getting items out for customers. What bothers me most, though, is learning that this is a for-profit-only company that doesn't appear to represent any cause or give back to the community. There are donation bins in front of the store, but there's no clear indication that those donations go to a good cause or help people in need. In contrast, many other resale and thrift stores are transparent about supporting local charities, community programs, or people in need. It's disappointing that Value World doesn't seem to do the same, especially when they rely on donations and present themselves in a way that can easily be mistaken for a charitable thrift store.

The prime suspect: our puppy, who thinks that they are a fun chew toy. At the Rite Aid that's a few blocks from our house, they cost $12.99 for a three pack. On Amazon, the best price I saw worked out to about $2 per pair. You can easily spend $30 for one pair of reading glasses. But here, they cost $1. And, all you get for the extra expense is a fancier frame: the lens is still basically the same. And, everything costs $1 here. I used to think that all dollar stores had the same price structure. But, try going to Dollar General and check the prices there: in this Sunday's flyer, literally everything was MORE than a dollar. I also come here for plates, mugs, and drinking glasses. The quality of the drinking glasses is variable: I had one set that broke after a trip or two through the dishwasher, because the glass was so thin. But, remember, they only cost $1. There is a very good selection here, so if you are perceptive, you can find sturdy drinking glasses. The plates and coffee mugs are comparable to something you would spend several times more to buy at a department store. This is also a great place to go for kitchen tools, like tongs and sieves. So what if they don't have the Sur La Table sheen to them? They still do the job. And, let me clear up something for you in case you are wondering: you are NOT too good to go to the dollar store. Are you too good to save money? I didn't think so.

Things are shoved everywhere on top of racks and tucked in corned and on top of each other, they're getting almost as bad as the dollar tree on 12 and Gratiot which is BAD! I'm very disappointed and have since been trying to branch out to further dollar trees that are more pleasant and easier to shop at. I hope they can turn this around because I miss have a store close by that I love and frequently shop at. Their employees are pleasant to deal with though at check out which is the only reason I haven't completely stopped going here or given a worse review. It is also disappointing because they rarely get newer stock items shown on the dollar tree website and takes forever to have it in stock if you were to order it online and ship it to store. - Fine for a quick stop if you need something unpopular but be prepared to look for it a lot longer than other stores.-

I understand the bins are probably old, but everything is old and yellowing which makes everything look a bit unsanitary. Some scoops were inside the buckets, touching the food. So the hand germs from the scoop is now in the food, and someone needs to reach in and touch the food in order to retrieve it. Which I saw a customer do. The directions are also unclear, you need to write down all the product codes instead of the large number on the information sheets, which is the price/lb. We did get small portions of 2 types of candy, both which were stale. It was also $6, which is cheap, but I can get x5 the amount of candy at the dollar store or drugstore for that price. The staff member was nice, and there was a regular in there who seemed to come often.
