The only reason I am giving this place a one star is for the deli. I apologize to all the workers at the deli because this is nothing to do with them except for ONE woman who works at this deli. She refuses to be nice and has an attitude almost every single time... she's also rushing through every single order. All around very unpleasant. I feel like no matter who I talk to there, they never take it serious enough. I love American cheese. I get it sliced extra thin, and every other worker has been able to do this except for her.!!! I've wasted so much money getting my cheese just to realize it was too thick and she always tells me if I cut it any thinner it's going to be ripping.... Lady..... you need to quit and save everybody else the drama of having their deli meat or cheese sliced the wrong way.!!!! This store is right across from my apartment, but I often drive out of my way to visit another one. I have had issues with their people being rude and pushy. One of the door people has argued with me several times about the electric scooters, claiming that "this one is fully charged" when it is on red and I know it isn't. Today I was in a long line, which happens at this time of year. As I inched closer, I could see the cashier blowing her nose several times. She wore gloves, but did not change them after. When I was about to pay, I asked if I could tap my card. She said, "Let's see." and reached out to grab my card from my hand, brushing against me with her dirty glove. I left feeling angry that she would grab for my card and gross that her germs were now all over me. Of course, I met the door lady as I went out. This store needs to train their employees better! read more

I'm usually quite happy with this location, especially since it's been remodeled. It's clean, and I can usually find what I'm looking for here. I like that they keep the lines moving on the self checkouts too. The only complaint I have is that I've purchased two things that were past their best by dates, so I need to be vigilant about checking those now. Their app has a tendency to want to sign me out a lot too, but the functionality of it otherwise is good. I do like their mPerks program, and have saved quite a bit using that, along with their coupons. Overall my experience has been positive. read more

The bottle return here is absolutely horrendous. There was literal chicken bones and other bits of food strewn on the ground. The floors are so sticky there's danger of losing a shoe. The machines are always broken, and they're dripping with nasty ooze. The sink was clogged with dirty water and cigarette butts. I will not return here. Disgusting. Atrocious. The dairy department constantly sells bad products. Every time I buy milk at the Fraser store, (Utica Road, and 15 Mile ) it never lasts until the expiration date. I opened a half gallon of milk this morning, labeled Best by May 15th, and this is May 4th, and it is already tasting sour. If the milk tastes sour in cold weather, what will it taste like in HOT weather. Don't buy dairy products at this store, unless you don't mind wasting most of it because it goes bad before the Use By date! read more

Do not use the curbside pick up groceries here. I ordered and they texted me when my order was ready and I ran up there from work and they canceled my order and never let me know why. Horrible store. Fraser Meijer. What Has Happened To You. SMH. Really? I remember when Meijer was the place that had it ALL. Everything You need and at a price You can afford. However, Meijer must think that they are a part of Plum Market or Starbucks. Two overpriced establishments with food items that are just okay and can be found elsewhere for less money and with freshness still attached to it. Recently, I purchased the Large Meijer brand eggs. They gave us all food poisoning. We were sick for two days. The eggs are cloudy and pale yellow inside. Eww! Meijer. Do better! It's a big store and it has plenty of parking spots and very well stocked shelves but they need to pick better employees to work here. I've been here two times with employees who doesn't know how to deal with customers. Today I went in, their registers weren't taking any EBT payments and YES I heard their announcement but it was not well heard so I didn't know that they specifically said it over "PTA". So, instead of the employees doing their job, not announcing it at the checkouts, they will blame you for "not hearing" it over "PTA". There are people like me who is hard of hearing, that may or may not hear shit over their announcements so if they could do a better job next time, write it on the checkouts or announce it to people during checkouts would be much better and be less of an inconvenience!!! My first post is 3 stars, now I'm going to rate it 2 stars. Let's see how next visit goes and once a place goes down to 1 star, I'll probably complain to management. read more

Its Meijer, usually give 4 for average but it appears the place is unusual low scored and not deserved. All is status quo from what I see.

Store is always clean. Although lately they haven't had any carts in the store and it is well past the holidays. Some of their items in personal care aren't stocked really well so when they have my item(s), I usually wipe them out and that's not fair to other customers. I'm not sure if it's a department manager issue or stock people. read more

Every time I go to meijer.. usually for a quick item to get in and out, they are out of stock of something I need. This last time, I stopped at Meijer to get cream of potato soup for a recipe I was making and had all the other ingredients. They were out of it. Bought a few other items after making the choice to either wait in a huge line or be an uncompensated grocery scanner/ bagger. Then, I went to another Meijer on my way home. They were out of cream of potato soup too. Previously, I've had this same experience with sczechuan seasoning. So, I ordered a bulk amount of both from amazon for no more than it would cost at meijer. These are two less items I need from meijer. I am quickly working up to a situation (with tremendous help from costco) where I rarely, if ever, need to enter any meijer ever again. read more

This rating is regarding the bakery. My mom went there to get a birthday cake for me. She was the only one there at the time along with the worker. She asked for assistance and the worker was extremely rude. Made her wait while she stocked. Finally she came to see what my mom wanted. She asked about a cake and asked if she could write "Happy Birthday Tara" on it. Again completely rude with eye rolling and all. She wrote on the cake then covered and taped it, I'm assuming so my mom didn't see how she wrote on it. This lady wrote like my 4 year old which I could only assume to be on purpose. Whoever you had working on Saturday May 22nd needs to consider a different profession. I understand not everyone can write nice and especially with frosting but if you can't handle treating people nicely then don't work with people. She should be ashamed of her herself. I'm completely disgusted by the way my mom was treated. And if this is who you hire to work in the bakery that should be able to write on a cake, shame on you! read more

Meijer stores in general have gone down in quality over the last several months. I had hope when they expanded their vegan/vegetarian section. They kept it well stocked for a time. Now, the section is always empty, they took away several great items, and replaced them with lower quality items. So disappointing, Meijer used to be a good place for convinience and good deals, now shelves are emoty, they discontinue product and dont get new items. There's 3 Meijer that are local to me and each one has declined in quality. read more

I have spent 45 minutes total in 2 occasions in the electronics department trying to buy AirPods but there is never an employee in that department. My last trip there for groceries I thought I'd try again but still to no avail. I even had an employee look at me but figured he wasn't from that department and would get someone but after 10 minutes - nothing. I understand they are probably short staffed as everyone is right now but putting in a service button would really be helpful since they got rid of the red phones. read more

Compared to a lot of other Meijer's I actually really like this one. I will pass other Meijer's on the way home from work, go past my home just to go to this one. It is clean and most of the staff is friendly. I would recommend Sunday morning for the best shopping experience. Now some may make comments about how busy the deli is, but keep a couple things in mind. Those employees don't make the staffing schedule, so DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON THEM, they are helpful and friendly. Also, if you notice they are busy think about the time of day you are there, you aren't the only one trying to get home, so take a deep breath and a number and grab a few other items you need while waiting. Or go early in the morning, it's so peaceful. Most of the time check out is friendly, but as I get older the more I understand people being upset about having all those check outs and only a few open. I wish they would cross train like Target so they can pull people from other departments when needed. In general I grew up with Meijer and love the store, I feel Kroger's lack of quality will keep Meijer my favorite. read more

Asking where the sunglasses were, I was told "I don't know." He proceeded to not find another employee to ask, he just left me. Great customer service...not. The self-scan employees are asleep every time. If the light goes off and says "Assistance Needed" they never come, and when you go to get them they act like you are the biggest inconvenience known to man. The employees I've encountered are not personable and are not trained in customer service well at all. Yet, I have to continue going to this one because Ben & Jerry's is on sale there for $2.99, and it is only a couple of blocks from my house. Hopefully they'll improve the customer service. read more

The people that work here are rude particularly the loss prevention department employees. They accused me of stealing and claimed they had me on video. They sent 4 people to find the empty eyeliner package that they claimed I stole and none of the 4 people could find it. Maybe because it didn't exist! They have a good selection of fresh vegetables and lunch-sized healthy snacks so you get variety for lunch. Its easily accessible and not a lot of heavy traffic on this side of town. It doesn't get really crowded like the other stores and they have the sale items most of the time so you aren't wasting your time at the store. read more

The pharmacies at 15 mile/ Utica, Groesbeck/ Cass and 13 mile/ Little Mack are a joke. They are out of or have limited quantities of all our prescriptions. We have to constantly go to other Meijers or come back to get a full prescription. We finally transferred to Walgreens. Management at Groesbeck/ Cass and 15/ Utica are rude and treat costumers with no respect. Kim K. from 15 mile / Utica, is particularly degrading and down right mean. I am not sure what happened to Meijer but it is not the same store it used to be. If you want to be treated like crap then you have found your chain of stores. read more

This Meijer is neither great nor terrible, but rather ordinary. I worked at this particular location for three and a half years, and during my time there, the way the business operates is not too particularly great. When it comes to product layout, it can use a little TLC. The shelves are usually barren, missing some of the key items that are heavily advertised in their ads. When it comes to customer service, I usually receive good customer service, although it may be because I did work there and they employees know me. Overall, this Meijer is not the worst store to shop at, but there are better out there. read more

Been coming to this Meijer for quite a few years. I know where everything is in the store, so I'm usually in and out. Employees are always friendly. Best time to go is first thing in the morning. Shelves are always stocked, unless u go on a Sunday afternoon/evening. I have another Meijer a little closer to me (on Grosebeck) that I really dont care for. I don't know where everything is, and some of their grocery isles are set up kind of weird to me. One reason I dont go to that particular store. Never had a bad experience there. So all in all I'd rather drive to the Fraser location because of a matter of my opinion. read more

I have shopped at the Fraser Meijer store for over 20 years. However, in the past few years the store has gone down hill. The produce should not be put out for sale. The lettuce usually is oozing brown liquid and luncheon meat that has clearly gone bad is left out for sale. The meat section has quite a small selection compared to other stores. This store is very poor about restocking shelf items. They discontinue items that I have purchased there for years. All this along with the fact that there are long lines, due to usually no more than three check out lines open, I now take my business to my local Kroger store. read more

Why would I want to "wait" at the deli warmers when the warmers that are there are there to be filled with food to keep warm so a customer can walk up, grab and go....? I shop Meijer for overall better selection and prices, so in those aspects, I feel they have the bulk of my needs at the best deal. There are a few items I can't find there and need to go to Wal-Mart or Kroger for, such as a specific brand of fresh, local bread, some Health/Beauty items, and strawberries. Meijer consistently sells spoiled strawberries. I've talked to the Produce Manager and also let corporate know, but I guess the price of me getting them at Kroger, along with any last-minute items I may pick up, just doesn't pay for Meijer. Speaking of produce, they as well consistently stock spoiled clementines. Again, complaints dont seem to bother Meijer. Lastly, Meijer needs to buck-up and purchase new buggies. Every Meijer I go to requires several minutes of testing them out to find one that doesn't move crooked. This makes a huge difference when pushing a week or two of grocery stock-up! read more
