I already reviewed Meet on Main, so I won't bother re-writing about how all of the food is amazing. All I'll say is that I think I prefer the atmosphere in Gastown. It's a little less busy and has nice high ceilings with big windows all over the place. read more

Came to Meet on Gastown for a quick bite and order the usual Chili Fries I order at Meet on Main (which I've never had problems with). The dish comes out, I taste the first bites and it was so overly salty that I could not eat it. I'm not one to usually complain about these things, but the saltiness was so overwhelming that I told the waitress about the saltiness. All the waitress says to me is, "Oh no, I'm sorry" and takes the dish away and disappears. She didn't ask to change it, or compensate for it, she just disappears and then sends another waitress to take care of our bill. Worst service ever! read more

If I could leave a 4.5 star review I would. This place is incredible. I would only dock it for the slow service; but otherwise the food was amazing. Disclaimer: I love meat as well, I just also enjoy vegetarian food. Food: my girlfriend and I both got burgers (the angry burg and the mac&cheese burger) which we each felt were among the best burgers we ever had. I can personally say that the fries were also fantastic, as were the beers. Bartender was super cool as well! Overall I would recommend 100% of the time, just be prepared for slow service. read more

Came for lunch/dinner with mom. Fairly disappointed by the food, the artichoke spinach dip was truly amazing tho, very creamy and rich, diary replaced with perfection; not impressed by "Southern BBQ Burger" burger, patty tasted like Superstore bought veggie patties, too plasticky, the bun was too thin(I recall the Main location's burger being on point, maybe I ordered wrong?); both mother and I suspected that the fries were refried, very dry and stale, The "Beet" salad was mediocre, very delicious aged cashew cheddar tho; the "Fresh Soup!" Was made with mushroom and cauliflower, very good combination of spices which made taste similar to real cream of mushroom soup(mom said it tasted moldy tho); one of the spoons in the bucket was dirty; finally service was not as good as their Main location. Their aesthetics is great, the interior design of the place is very open and welcoming, and quiet a smart design in noise diffusion(even though the Gastown location is still much quieter than the Main one, maybe it's because it's early in the day)! read more

great even for non vegans. Definitely get the EL Fab. Best thing on the menu!

This place was super impressive. We called an hour in advance with a party of 11 and although they don't take reservations, they were able to accommodate us almost instantly. The food was like no other vegetarian food I've tried, let alone vegan. No complaints at our table, even from the hardcore carnivores. Meet is worth trying at least a few times no matter what your dietary preferences are, and there's not a lot of places that can be the case. read more

We ordered the poutine fries, chili cheese fries, mac n cheese, and angry burg. The angry burg was spicy and delicious. I reluctantly tried to poutine fries, (not my thing), there were really good. The mac n cheese was good. I would definitely recommend trying this place if you're looking for good vegan food. read more

Great food ! Comfortable ambiance :) The food is really awesome, especially butter chikkin ! There is always a wait time at this place due to the popularity, so I suggest making appointment in advance. read more

I'm by no means a vegetarian and found this food delicious. It's very seldom that I find myself too full to finish what I ordered but that was the case here. Food prices are average for the area but the food more filling than most. I recommend the Crispy BBQ Burger with a side of their fries. The Cauliflower made for a really good share-able appetizer. Our Waiter knew the menu like the back of his hand. He had an answer for all of our questions and even made his own recommendations. read more

food is incredible, portions are large, scenery is nice, area is cool. HOWEVER, making this your go-to restaurant will definitely stretch yr funds :((( read more

So far the best vegetarian restaurant I have eaten at - if you are looking for a delicious alternative to meat, look no further. The chiggin things actually tasted better than real meat, I wish I could eat here every single day. We tested several of the appetizers, the cauliflower was a group fav. I had the mac n cheez burger (portion size huge by the way, came with fries AND a salad), which was absolutely delicious. They also have a gluten free option for most everything, which was great because I came with a gluten intolerant friend. We definitely had a great time here and I will be back for sure. The area is nice, just make sure you give yourselves a lot of time as in the evening there's a bit of a wait for a table. Really excellent service once we got in there, the waiter and host were both very nice and accommodating. Also, make sure to try one of their cocktails, the bartender is awesome. read more

Love this place. It was packed even on a Tuesday evening with a line up out the door. I am a meat eater but do not even notice the missing meat here. Everything is flavourful, satisfying portions with good prices. The cauliflower appetizer is a must, the mac n cheese burger is fabulous and the bowls are my favourites. Order the cronut if you're feeling really naughty!! An enjoyable experience. read more

My favourite vegan restaurant out of all the ones I've been to. Always great service, usually pretty quick, staff are kind and inviting and food is amazing. The only thing I would say is that their cheese sauce on the chilli cheez fries tastes a bit too much like mustard. Other than that, I've never had a bad experience in the many, many times I've been here. read more

The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening, but after a short wait, we got our own table and were in for a treat. MeeT makes eating vegan simple with great tasting dishes paired with a nice beer. This would have been a 5 stars review if they didn't try to make vegan food taste like meat. I had a dish with 'vegan bacon', and it really did taste like bacon, but that's not what I'm looking for in food. That's just a personal preference, so MeeT still absolutely deserves 4 stars! read more

When traveling, it's especially great to receive a warm welcome, and that's what happens at MeeT. Sarah is super kind and treats customers like they are VIPs. Outstanding service... and the food was delicious as well. I highly recommend this spot (for non vegans as well). A+++ read more

So liberating to be able to order ANYTHING on the menu! Lots of selection, well-priced, and delicious food. Service was okay, but the team seemed a bit disorganized managing a busy Friday night in Gastown. I will definitely be back so long as I am patient and/or select a less-prime time of the week. read more

Loved it! Great atmosphere and food! We ate here a couple different times while we were in Vancouver. The Caesar salad with hot "chikin wing chunks" was my favorite meal! read more

I am a hot blooded meat eater, so are my best friends so coming here was quite an adventure. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. We all did. I had the chili cheez fries and romaine and kale ceasar salad and I really liked the flavours. the salad could have used more sauce but everything was lovely. However... we did leave there thinking about meat. HAHA! But I would come back here for sure. read more

we had a really nice time, even though we had quite a long wait. They offered us "complimentary" chips and salsa, only to charge us for this at the end. They included the tip on our bill (which was fair as we had 7 people), but didn't tell us about this which resulted in some tipping on top of the gratuity. This was disappointing as we had enjoyed the food. Overall we were impressed with the food, but let down with the service. read more

Beer battered burger was fantastic! The Teem poutine was so good. I loved the cashew gravy. Great drinks and beer selection too.

I normally don't leave Yelp reviews, but felt compelled to post my first one ever tonight. So many things to say, so I'll just sum it up in bullet points: -2 hour long wait for a table of 8 (the longest I've ever waited for any restaurant). We were mislead about the wait time and were in too deep before we knew it (too late to leave because we had waited so long) -Hostess seemed annoyed at us for checking in -The food wasn't even worth the wait. It was quite bland. Half of us had the bbq burger and it was mostly bbq sauce & salt with no seasoning and barely any aged cheddar. Saddened me as a vegan. +The fries and side salad were good. +Server was really nice. All in all, none of us will be coming back. read more

Food is ok.. but prices are ridiculously high... their cronut is darn delicious.. we asked for some extra sauce for the main course and they charged $1.25 even for that... this place should be renamed as "Loot".. read more

This place is brilliant! My first experience here was really good - my food was delicious (I had the Macro Bowl), wait time was reasonable and customer service was attentive. However, it was actually my second experience that made it so awesome!! My friends and I arrived at peak dinner time without a reservation and to be expected, there was a wait for a table. Fortunately, there were three seats available at the bar, so we happily sat there. Immediately, the Bar Manager, Chris, started taking care of us. Chris honestly made our night - assisting us with menu choices and navigating dietary requirements, filling our water glasses up constantly while having friendly banter and making us feel incredibly welcome. His genuine approach to customer service was extremely refreshing! Not to mention our food (We all had burgers & they were everything we wanted and more) was soooo good!! My friends and I had already had an amazing day of exploring & hiking around Vancouver and going to MeeT for dinner really was the cherry on top!! read more

Awesome food! I'm vegan and everything is so tastey! I also brought my meat eating friends and they couldn't even tell the food was vegan! The service isn't great - slow and rude servers every time.... but if you ignore that part it's an AMAZING restaurant! read more

The food is great. Nice assortment of vegan yumminess. But the service is consistently terrible and the food takes a very long time to be served. Servers worry more about getting waters to a new table than cashing out a finished table or they take 10 mins to even check in with you after sitting down initially. They need to find the sweet spot that 95% of other restaurants in the world have figured out. Been here four times and each time the service is still terrible. It's really too bad. read more

I always carefully tread around restaurants as I am vegetarian and avoiding gluten. When I arrived at Meet the first time I picked around the menu looking for meat free options. When the waiter told me absolutely everything was vegan I could not believe my eyes. I wide array of excellent choices. Also gluten-full items are marked on the menu - I thought this was all too good to be true. It wasn't ... everything tastes great - vegan gluten free pad thai, burgers, chiggen. Finally, I can eat what I want and enjoy the freedom to choose almost anything on the menu. The gastown location has a pleasant atmosphere and atrium seating. The whole experience is just delightful and has less of a hipster vibe then the main street location which is suits me perfectly. Oh and the service was fantastic as well, do not expect hipster attitude here, this is by far my new favorite restaurant in Vancouver. read more

While I was initially excited to indulge in what appeared to be a delicious menu. My group and I were told to wait 90 minutes for our table to be ready. This is understandable with a group of 8 people. However, upon coming back to MeeT we were told another 15-20 minutes. We continued to watch people be seated during this time. When we asked once again after 20 minutes, we were told another 10 minutes. It is not acceptable to force people to wait over two hours to enjoy a meal here. read more

We got the noodle-y thai and the meet burger as entres. The noodles were a terribly poor attempt at appropriating what westerners think Asian dishes are. It was a hodgepodge of crunchy, severely undercooked pho noodles, overly sweet and sour ketchup sauce, tofu, peanuts, broccoli, and bean sprouts. The burger patty had a mushy consistency and you cannot really distinguish different elements of the burger as a result. I agree with a previous poster and would much rather have a burger embrace different vegetable flavors/textures instead of imitating meat. I also feel that the bun to patty ratio was off; too much bun, too thin a patty. In terms of service, the girl with the two nose rings was a bit rude in a sassy way for not having decided what to order within five minutes of sitting down. read more

Wow. This place is excellent. Having been to many vegan comfort food places - this is one of the best. Don't miss the butter chicken (vegan) poutine!! read more

Great service! Love this venue in gastown and food is so yummy! The sauce on the steamed kale appetizer is pretty nice. I ordered 'the lovely' which I devoured. Looking forward to trying more of their dishes next time read more

Food was served quickly and presented nicely. Everything tasted really unique and flavourful. This time we got the Korean poutine and cauliflower wings (so good). A little mistake was made with our order and the staff resolved it professionally and friendly. Definitely the type of service that makes you want to go back to a place. The ambiance is really naturey and green. I like how the menu has a variety of healthy options and comfort food. Will return for sure! read more

As a vegan, a restaurant like this was needed and long overdue! I brought my brothers (one is a vegan, one is a vegetarian, and one is a meat-eater) and their girlfriends (2 meat-eaters and 1 vegetarian) and everyone loved their meal. The cauliflower bites were definitely everyone's favourite! It's unfortunate that the wait time is so long and they don't take reservations- I sense some expansion in the near future? read more

I've been to meet several times, great vegan alternative to those foods you crave. Most of my experiences have been very good here. The first visit i stayed and dined there, service was good, but beware it can get reaaaally loud in there. Every other order I've had from there has been to go. The burgers are good, beware they are not kidding around with the spice level of the angry burger. Only real complaint I have is about the Mac and cheese, it was just salty weird noodles that I'm pretty sure we're just covered in cashew guts and nutritional yeast. But once again, usually a great eat here! Give it a try. read more

I had the "House Chili" and the famous "Hocus-Pocus" yesterday for lunch and was quite disappointed as I had quite a high expectation for this place (I am lactose-intolerant). My chili was extremely salty; it was literally sodium-overload and the corn fritters were the opposite; plain bland (on a positive note, it was not greasy at all). The "Hocus-Pocus" consisted of fries and onion rings which were not done very nicely and were not crispy at all :( read more

Could not love this place more!! Awesome service, delicious drinks and so many vegan/vegetarian options to choose from. I have been here three times and I plan to go again so I can try some more items on the menu. Standouts for me: The sweet-chili cauliflower, nacho fries, the meet burger and the mac n'cheese! read more

When I want amazing vegan comfort food, I come here. It is AMAZING in every way. The service is good, desserts impeccable, and everything we have tried on the menu is delicious. Not just "yeah, this is good for vegan food". It's HOLY SCHNIT this is great food. My non-vegan husband even enjoys coming here. read more

Since Vancouver is such a health conscious city and the birthplace of Greenpeace and all - I have always wondered why there weren't more good contemporary vegan restaurants. Well thank goodness for Meet. This Gastown location ups their game ... the space is great and adds to the blood alley emergence. Everything I've tried is great. Most recently had the chilli for lunch which was spectacular. The chocolate ganache is crazy rich and good. And the cronut is the bomb. This place is AWESOME!! read more

I come back here because I LOVE the angry burg and the ginger beer - there's no better burger for a vegetarian. But the service is ALWAYS soooo slow to the point of it being really frustrating, whether or not it's busy. That's why I am giving 3/5 stars. Waiting 10 minutes for a beer or sitting for the same amount of time (or more) while servers walk by you repeatedly once you've been sat is irritating and I've almost walked out before because of this, if I hadn't been craving their burgers so badly. Servers are super friendly when they do pay attention to you, though. if the service improved that would definitely bring this place up to 5 stars for me. read more

This place is so good that we ate there twice in our short 3 day trip to Vancouver. I had the double bacon double cheese burger and the macro bowl. I would have come back and tried everything on the menu if I could have! I was bummed that our flight left too early for us to make it for brunch or we would have eaten there again. We also lucked out in the fact that we could get WiFi there so since we were international travelers without data that was an added bonus. read more

I've been here twice the past 2 months. First time was good, other than the fries were just a little overcooked and burnt. Went there last night and it was a horrible experience. My table of 2 got seated in 20 minutes and then the food took nearly an hour to arrive. Yes it was busy, but the tables across from us came later, got their food and finished before we got ours. Our server seemed too busy for us. Got the Mac and cheese burger both times, the first time that Mac and cheese was overflowing out of the burger, the second time there was barely any, and the bun was stale. It was a disappointment especially considering the wait time. This ruined our evening. I normally do not write reviews but this was just ridiculous. Would not recommend or come here again. read more
