I imagine this joint is getting lots of good reviews, so I'll just make it short. Good food - whiskey/BBQ/something fake chicken wings: excellent. Promptly got a new beverage when the waiter filled it with water by accident. :) read more

Decent place! It's always super busy and it's the first place to come to mind when most people think of vegan food, but it's OK. Their dishes are super hit or miss, with most being mediocre. Most people I've gone with have been so excited to try it out, especially once they see how busy it can be, but then find their dishes unsatisfactory. The only dish I LOVE is their cauliflower. I've had only friendly servers but I have found the service really slow. I do understand it gets busy, but I've waited over 15 minutes to just get water and to get someone to ask for our orders. Still worth trying but definitely over rated! read more

I absolutely love this place! This is me and my best friend's favourite restaurant. We go back often and we always get amazing food. The portions are perfect and the servers are very nice. When ever I go back I always get the spinach dip as an appetizer to share with my bestie. If anyone is looking for a vegan restaurant with great atmosphere and great prices, this would be the place to go. read more

10/10 would eat again, as a non vegan/vegetarian I really enjoyed everything. Great service and friendly environment!

Tasty bio food, the bowls are really good, with a nice atmosphere. Also good selection of local beer.

We ordered drinks and appies. When she dropped off the drinks we told our server that we were ready to order our mains. She said she'd be back in a sec. She never came back. Both appetizers arrived. She still never came back. We tried to stare her down for about 15 minutes. Finally we asked a different server to grab our bill, cause we were turned off enough that we decided to go eat somewhere else. The Chili Sauce Cauliflower was really good! read more

Thought this place was great esp for veg food. If you've been looking to get more into veg or just want to try and quash your preconceptions about what it is this is the place to try. Plus the buildings cool and they have beer :) read more

I really wanted to love this place as it was our first meal in Vancouver. It was really busy on a Thursday night and we had to wait outside in the rain (luckily it was only about 5 mins). The restaurant was super loud from it being crowded but they also had music blasting on top of that. We ended up ordering the Teem Poutine fries and the Meet burger with a Beyond Meat Patty (burger came with fries and salad in the side. The fries were okay but pretty bland (even covered in vegan cheese and gravy). I really wanted to like the burger since I've heard so much about Beyond patties, but their mushroom topping tasted so weird it ruined it for me. The gluten free bun was great though and the fries and salad were good. The last bit was our waters were never refilled and the server had my husband pay on a card reader and add tip while she stood over his shoulder (he ended up leaving the automatic 20% it added because he felt weird changing it with her standing there). It wasn't bad for a vegan meal but service practices really affected the experience. read more

Amazing compassionate restaurant, with unique yet comforting food, delicious desserts and cocktails, accommodating staff, and one of the warmest and pleasant restaurant managers I have ever had a chance to communicate with. read more

I liked the atmosphere but the food was a pretty big disappointment, which is unfortunate because I was trying to sway my bf into eating more vegan food so that's not going to happen anymore lol read more

amazing restaurant right in the heart of gastown. Never would have known it was there until I went in with a couple friends who recommended it. I am a vegetarian and I always run out of food options on the menu everywhere. I came here and the world was my oyster lol I ordered the garlic fries (amazing) and the el fab (super amazing). We also tried vegan Caesars! They weren't upto par with the food, maybe should have tried another cocktail. My friends ordered the wings and pasta, they were very happy! Servers were friendly and fast. For all animal lovers, this is a must visit! read more

Looking for a place and stumbled across this restaurant. Regret it. Very expensive, service is not good. Worst of all the food is some of the worst i've ever had. Paper-thin rubbery cold patties in a weak and tasteless bun. Nobody really cares here, keep moving. read more

The vegan chicken wings are ridiculous!! They even have crunchy imitation chicken skin. And the gravy fries are amazing!! Vegan gravy!! Amazing!! read more

Super super yummy vegetarian food! Try their Mac n Cheese burger, it's amazing!

Honestly, I have no idea why this place is so hyped. I'm a lifelong vegetarian and he food here is TERRIBLE. We tried the nacho fries, Big Mac burger and the noodly thai. Never coming back here. read more

I wanted to like this place but didn't. I had lunch here last week. I ordered the Meet burger with fries and salad. First, they moistened the burger with plain old white mayo and plenty of it. And it came with a white bun. I expected for a vegan place that it would have a healthful whole wheat or multigrain bun. The mayo felt really unhealthy and I had to scrape it off. A nice healthy flavored aioli would have been better. The burger patty itself was okay. There was quite a large amount of fries but they were limp and kind of soggy. Also, the salad ingredients were good but they compact it tightly into a very small side dish and difficult to get at it. All in all, a disappointment. I could have gotten this meal anywhere. I was really looking forward to a top notch vegan meal and was very disappointed. read more

I had the Mac and cheese burger which was delicious, fries were a bit average! Friend got the macaroni with the butter chicken on top and it was good too. Very nice staff and a good vibe. read more

I was here just before Christmas. It was actually my boss who recommended the place for me and my friends. I had a spicy burger that was actually spicy. I have high tolerance when it comes to spicy food so I was actually surprised I could taste it. Good drinks and desserts as well. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. I am a vegetarian and while normally can find veggie friendly options on menus at other restaurants, it's nice to have a whole entire menu that I can pick from. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing- you have to get it! Super good. The burgers are also good and come with fries and a salad- I'll warn you, it's a lot of food. Atmosphere is great and the servers were also very friendly. read more

Such great vegetarian comfort food! I would give the Gastown location a 5/5 except for two things: 1) long waits to be served and 2) the slippery floor. Seriously every time I come here I keep feeling like I'm going to fall flat on my face. I understand the appeal of waxed (?) concrete but it's a wonder the servers can walk around at all! Try the Southern bbq burger and something off the dessert menu, you won't be disappointed. If you're coming here before a show or something or have a tight schedule, give yourself more time. And watch the floor! read more

The food is good enough. Awesome options for vegans. The service is awful tho, I waited 45 minutes to get a bowl of soup and then I waited for another 30 to get a burger. I get is not the waitress fault, but she was getting nervous and she brought me the wrong drink, and the bill was a mess. Just go there if you are willing to wait 90 minutes for an ok vegan meal. read more

Been here countless times and never had a bad experience. However, today was an example of how there is a first for everything. The staff were absolutely oblivious on how to serve. We were seated almost right away but after being seated with our menus, we weren't offered any drinks, water etc. After waiting 10 minutes our server finally noticed that we still hadn't gotten any water or anything and by then we were all ready to order to which they were very confused. It took almost 20 minutes for our appetizer and our main courses never arrived. We had only paid for an hour of parking 2 mins away from the restaurant and our main courses had not arrived when we had only 5 mins left of our time so we had to request for them to be packed up. Unbelievable. If I had known it would take that long, I should've just ordered take UPDATE: As you can see they said they'd "reach out to me" still haven't seen any message from them. Love when owners try to save face but don't actually plan on resolving the situation read more

- Long waiting time and poor waitlist tracking - Loud nonsense music - Extremely slow service (35 min for mains after appetizers) - Extremely expensive Villa Teresa Pinot Grigio. $9.75 which is $15 for bottle at BC Liquor Store - Dollarama cutlery - Average food read more

Meet in gastown and meet on main are amazing they do all sorts of dishes some health some not so healthy but i basically go for the burger and fries! Best vegan burger and fries in town! I went for the mac and cheese burger last time. And usually like to have the fries with a satay sauce. read more

Amazing vegetarian eats. My boyfriend who is not a vegetarian came with me and very much enjoyed his meal. They also have a nice list of signature cocktails and make there own ginger beer in house (extra plus) read more

i loved this place the first few times i visited. if i had yelp then, my review would have been a glowing five stars. but, after so many trips, i have experienced a lot of mediocre dishes here that have failed to satisfy me. the macaroni and cheese, for example, was fairly lifeless. my burgers are usually pretty good, but i always feel like my energy is wavering after i eat here. i don't know if they use a lot of processed ingredients, soy, or oil, but i do not feel healthy eating here. perhaps that is not their goal, but as far as vegan eats go, i think you could find more satisfying dishes elsewhere that don't leave you feeling oiled out. i believe this is sort of a recreation of veggie grill, which has yet to roll into canada, but it is falling a bit short. vegan junk food needs to hit the spot if it is going to make me feel exhausted after. this place fails to entirely satisfy my tastebuds & still makes me feel crappy but always welcoming service despite how crowded they always are read more

Meet on Main and Meet in Gastown are the best vegetarian restaurants in Vancouver. The service is always great, the menu is in credible. The first time I had their house burger I thought they had accidentally served me beef. The sides are amazing, they have a decent selection of local beer and other drinks, and they're not too pricey. If you're a vegetarian/vegan, or you just want to take a meat break, this is the place to check out. read more

I really wanted to LOVE this place. I kept giving the servers the benefit of the doubt but my experience really wasn't stellar. I understand that some Vegan spots in this city have a wee bit of an attitude but the indifference and lack of urgency from the servers was shocking. The food is decent but they have some work to do if they want to be successful in Gastown. I had possibly the grossest cocktail of my life in the form of a Vegan Caesar which I assumed would just be cold pressed organic tomato juice with vodka and spices however when it arrived it was a beige colour and tasted sour like vinegar. The appies were delish ( fake chicken hot wings and some fries) but my meal was lacking a bit of pizzaz. I had the Thai Noodle Bowl without Tofu. I might swing by to give this place another shot but it will only be Gringos has a line at the door and I am starving. read more

A hidden gem within Gastown and set in a beautiful and quiet courtyard. The inside is cozy and aesthetically pleasing and the food is quite good. I'm not a vegetarian and I love my meat but Meet may sway me over to the green side. I recommend their mac and cheese burger it's so good. Their macaroni is divine. Good portion sizes too. Definitely worth your money and good for both non meat eaters and meat eaters. First time trying a vegetarian burger and I'm impressed. Filling and healthy. Make sure you come in on an empty stomach. read more

Had a great experience at this place. Was looking for a good vegetarian option, and this place was awesome.

Nice location and setup. Their food however is average. Tried El Fab with a scoop of guacamole which didn't taste very fresh. Also, Noodly-Thai had a very over powering taste of the sauce. read more

The food was excellent and great veggie choices my sister is vegan and we were able to order wings!

5 stars! Amazing resurant with even better food. Our server was friendly and very attentive without being overbearing. The food was to die for and the cashew gravy is finger licking good. Just got a job across the street from this resturant and I will definitely be visiting on a weekly basis. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great good! Keep up the good work! read more

Ok ok ok, I'll ease off on making fun of my vegan friends. It's places like Meet that makes me believe that vegan-friendly food is actually tasty as hell. Went here for lunch on a Friday with some coworkers and was not disappointed. The decor was hip, our server was freakin hilarious and the food was top notch. I got the sweet-chili cauliflower to start and the nacho fries. Being lactose-intolerant, it was amazing to be able to enjoy cheesy fries without the gut-wrenching consequences (usually worth it!!) that usually follows. read more

This vegetarian restaurant is a gem that I unexpectedly stumbled upon after walking up and down Gastown looking for a place to grab a drink mid-Sunday. I got a pineapple fizz-type drink, which was delicious. My friend tried a salad, which tasted like any salad that you could make at home. The restaurant is clean with lots of sunlight, which is always a plus. The restrooms are clean as well. However, the servers didn't seem to communicate well. One server went to find us a table and another came to seat us not knowing that a table was being set up for us. Then another server brought our menus and two different servers asked for our order. One brought us our lemonade, followed by another server who brought us an extra lemonade (we were only charged for one though). It was like this the entire meal. Consistency would be nice. read more

Yummy food in a good location. The new menu has really stepped it up. However, it never seems to be as good as the location on main - in service or food. Would come here more often if I could expect greatness every time! read more

Randomly happened upon this busy Gastown spot. Ordered a glass of rose and was perusing the menu when I realized that it was a vegan restaurant. Honestly being a meat lover I was a bit skeptical but since I'd already ordered a drink I felt committed and decided to give it a shot. Honestly one of the best taco salads that I have ever had! Paired nicely with a perfect margarita made by my lovely bartender Steven! Shout out to the great kitchen team and entire crew at Meet! read more

This is my favourite vegan place ever! Loved the ambience and design of the restaurant as well as the service. Had a salad bowl and the chilli cheese fries which were both very delicious. The chilli cheese fries was very flavourful and most importantly it definitely taste healthier as compared to any regular fries. Overall, an amazing place to have great conversations alongside good food! read more
