Mmmm! I've been meaning to try this place out and finally went yesterday! Upon looking at the menu, I saw they had Mac n Cheese... and while I was skeptical about the sauce and it's flavour since there were cashews in it, I couldn't say no. How does anyone say no to Mac n Cheese!? I added the Buffalo chiggins on top and oh. my. gosh. It was so good! We made it just in time before it picked up around 7 pm. Staff was helpful and friendly. After seeing reviews about the cauliflower, I'm kind of sad I decided against it that day. But that just means I'll have to come back and try that and the rest of the menu :) read more

MeeT - Mac n Cheese with Buffalo Chiggins! - Burgers Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

Best meal I've had in a long time. OMG. It was the day after I ran the BMO Vancouver Marathon and I was freaking starving. I was immediately seated and given a menu but then was completely ignored for a long while. I fleetingly thought about walking out. I wondered, though, if maybe they are accustomed to people taking a good while to figure out what they want to eat and so I lay my closed menu on the table and soon a waiter came over with water and took my order. I wasn't impressed with how the experience began but the service was flawless from then on. And let's admit it -- we vegans are used to one, maybe two options for us on a menu. To pick from an entire menu is a little overwhelming! I ordered both the powergreens salad and the butter chikken entrée (did I mention I was freaking starving?) They. Were. Divine. I don't know what dressing they use on the salad but it definitely includes an addictive substance. And the butter chikken was the absolute perfect texture, just a touch of heat, in a bed of tomato curry and brown rice. So good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH. Check out the casual, comfortable ambiance of MeeT in Gastown. Come hungry! read more

We stumbled upon Meet without really knowing it was a vegetarian restaurant but it didn't seem to matter! We both had the the Main burger which was so delicious and for 11.75 it comes with fries and salad?? Such a good deal, and such a good burger that our meat loving selves didn't even notice. In short - if you're craving a good burger, good atmosphere and great service, maybe try something new and eat here! read more

It was our first night driving into Vancouver and we happened to walk by. Not only was our server Emma so wonderful and welcoming, the food was fantastic! We ordered the Seoul Bowl, and the Double Double burger. Overall great energy and service, definitely would recommend. read more

Upon trying his dish my meat-loving brother goes "I would definitely go vegetarian if I could make all food taste this good", & that pretty much sums up the whole dinner. Definitely recommend burgers over the asian/noodle bowls as the bowls are a little salty. read more

So happy to find a varied, creative vegan menu nearby! I had lunch today with my three family omnivores and everyone enjoyed their meals! We had the cauliflower, mushroom soup, signature burger, Thai salad, and Taco salad. Our server was lovely and helpful. Excellent value for the price. MeeT we need you in San Francisco! Please!!! read more

I may or may not have told my carnivorous husband that this was a vegetarian/vegan establishment before entering but it wouldn't have mattered as everything was delicious. We shared the MeeT burger and the nacho fries, which had him asking the waiter what exactly was this vegan cheese made of?! (The answer: cashews!) The burger patty had a juicy, umami nature to it that satisfies even this beef-lover and the portions are generous. Is it healthy? Who knows! Probably definitely easier on the ol' digestive system than eating the red-meat counterparts, and you can feel good that no animals were harmed in the making of your tasty, tasty meal. We'll be back! read more

Saw this reviewed on the front page of Yelp on August 7th and book marked if for future reference. I am a big fan of the Main Street location, therefore, thought that I would give this one a try. For starters this location is way busier than the one on Main street, therefore, expect a long wait. It was a little disorganized and they seemed to be under staffed when it came to attending the line to assign people to sit even though there was around 5 tables free. I had the vegan mac and cheese and a salad, both were really good. For vegan mac and cheese it was seriously addicting. Service was a bit slow, however, they were still dealing with the lunch rush, therefore, this is something to keep in mind. read more

Overall I love it here , so many options and wonderful filling and hearty meals. I have been a couple of times where the dishes weren't as good as usual, not sure if the quality varies significantly from chef to chef (or if others have noticed this? ) but I have experienced cold food that had clearly been sitting for too long on more than one occasion. Other than that- very yummy place. I did have a frustrating experience trying to book my birthday party here when they would not accept reservations and suggested my party of 16 just arrive and hope for the best ! Very silly. Overall I think the one on main Street may be better organized and consistent but I still continue to eat here as their burgers are usually always perfect and it's worth it for that alone. read more

Go to spot for a beautiful place to eat and just relax. Been going here for a year now and the service and food are always top notch

The owner was kind enough to provide me with a gift card to return to Meet. I have been back twice now and ordered the portebello burger (which comes with fries AND salad yay!) each time. We also ordered the Angry burger, salad, soup, kombucha and root beer. The food was delicious. The service was attentive and quick and the ambience was very lively. Both friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I'm no longer a vegetarian but I will be back here for a burger and drink soon. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to reconsider! read more

The mucho gusto burger was so delicious! So much food and so flavorful. Definitely a favorite!

Service-2.5 Be prepared to have ass in your face. Um...want to give me your number first? Tight quarters. Yikes. Starting with the hostess: had to wait to be seated because the hostess was flirting with another server. Service: should've known the service was going to be slow. Had to wait on water. You should never run out of water. Food overall- (4.5) Gravy fries-2 So salty my tongue shriveled up. Chili with queso- 5 Delicious! Stole my boyfriend's. Summer salad- 5 Never ate hemp before this and it does not taste like weed at all which is a good thing. The sauce sounded scary at first because the server said it was a mint vinaigrette but it was delicious. Ambience- 4 Cute art and decorations but too loud. Love the single stall coed bathrooms. read more

Very cool place, with creative drinks and menu. Wait staff was super friendly and accomodating. We had the Noodly Thai, Mac n Cheez, the mac n cheez burger, and the Poutine. All were excellent! Would definitely recommend and come back if ever we're in Vancouver. Bonus - it's on a quaint little street with lots of stores selling souvenirs for those visiting the area. read more

Great place. The food is so delish. Service can be a bit slow at times. They have happy hour most days which is great. Cauliflower wings are so damn tasty. read more

BELIEVE THE HYPE. THIS IS VEGAN COMFORT FOOD AT ITS FINEST YA'LL. Bring your meat-eating (future-vegan) friends, they will love it too. My fiancé brought a bachelor party here for dinner (all non vegans except for him and one other dude) and they came back for more the next day! #winning It's usually pretty busy since the food is bomb, so you might have to wait for a table. I recommend grabbing an Iced Vaeleys Coffee at the bar while you wait. My go-to: The Mac N' Cheese Bowl, add Italian vegan sausage (pretty sure it's fieldroast), with a side of their Organic Steamed Kale which is drizzled in miso gravy. OH MY GOD SO DELICIOUS. I myself never miss out on an opportunity to order vegan Mac and Cheez if it's on the menu. Meet's is made of a creamy cashew sauce, cause dairy is scary, let's be honest. My fiancé always orders the Angry Burg and then Poutines his fries. Most of the time we get a 3rd dish to share since we can't decide because it's all so good. Generally it's the soup of the day or the chili. Meet is our favourite place in Vancouver because it feels like a normal restaurant with a laid-back vibe to hang out with your friends and enjoy a delicious vegan meal and beverage! By normal I mean it isn't super "vegany" (which I personally love and have nothing against but...) so you can bring anybody to Meet and they will find something to enjoy). Get here! read more

I was disappointed this time. I always order the Macro bowl, and usually ask for descent amount of tofu. Today, I also asked the server to ensure there is enough amount of tofu, but it was even less than the times I do not ask for that. In the bowl, it was not even one cube size of tofu. There were only 3 thin slices in big bowl, which is disappointing . Basically we are not there to eat a bowl full of rice with a very very small portion of mushroom, tofu and piece of broccoli and a piece of kale! When I told the server that it tastes good , but only 3 slices of tofu is too little, they remind me that the portions are like that!!!!! Meet was my favourite place, but I am really unhappy with their food and service today! read more

This place has lots of treats for vegans! It isn't "healthy" but it's a nice treat while dining out! There are healthy options though- such as the salads. Defiantly comfort food for people with a dairy allergy or vegans! The service was friendly and the location was cool- tucked away in the building. I'd recommend this place if you're wanting a hearty meal on a rainy day in Vancouver! read more

Delicious vegan eatery! You will be full -- not skimpy on portions. Very creative with the menu. I would recommend the onion ring burger. Bows and salads also looks really good and filling. Only one gripe is the burgers are a bit too chewy for my likes. Jaw got tired. Gluten based burger are normal with gluten free if you ask for it, next time I'll see how the gluten free tastes. read more

My friends and I went to MeeT in Gas Town and between the four of us we had one celiac, one vegetarian, one person who does not eat red meat, and a pescatarian. This restaurant is vegan and celiac friendly we were so happy to find a menu that was totally safe for all of us and it was completely delicious. The one negative of the night was it took a very long time to get our food but we showed up without a reservation Friday night and were seated with in five minutes, so I can't complain too much. read more

I've been here twice and two locations and was really disappointed with the food. The first bowl I ever got the Tempeh was sour beyond belief. The second time my burger was just overwhelmed by bbq sauce I couldn't taste anything else. My dining mates had dishes they complained were too salty and bland. We also got charged an automatic gratuity for the parties over 7 even though one of our guests joined as we were wrapping up and just got takeout and it's not like the service was something to write home about. Honestly I don't know why people like this place. Chickpea next door on Main or The Arbor or anywhere else for veg food is much better. read more

Phenomenal vegan comfort food! Everything was delicious and came in very generous portions. Would highly recommend the sweet chili cauliflower. Best cauliflower-type 'wings' I've ever had. Also ordered the mighty mac (mac and cheese) burger, which came with a heap of fries and hearty side salad. Only downside is that there is generally a pretty significant wait, even on weekday nights. Partially our fault since we came in with a larger party of five. Just be aware that the restaurant doesn't take reservations so if your group is larger, prepare to wait 30-40 min. Wonderful and prompt service once we were seated. read more

I love this place. The very first time I went to meet, the hostess who sat us was friendly which set the tone. Second, I noticed the decor and vibe of Meet. It's very minimalist, with just enough decor. Lighting is beautiful for pictures and the tables are spaced well enough that you're not elbowing your neighbors nor can you hear their conversation. The noise level is perfect for your own intimate conversation although there is definitely energy in the room. Food is great, service is friendly and efficient. The waitstaff are very accommodating. I ordered a salad, dressing on the side - the Super Greens Salad, if I remember correctly, topped with spirulina sprinkles. Filling and tasty. My friends each ordered vegetarian burgers and fries which we initially all thought were meat because they tasted so close to meat. I've gone back a second time and I had the same fantastic experience. Not only is it cozy and comfortable, it is also very reasonably priced. Definitely a neighborhood gem that I will continue to frequent. read more

Excellent food and great service on a busy Saturday night. Hostess was friendly, wait was a short 15 min. My wife and I were first sat across from one another at a communal table that heels held eight. We ordered our drinks and food but then asked to move to the bar which was a quieter space where we could at side by side since some young ladies sitting next to us at the shared table were talking so loud we could not have a conversation. The server and bartender were really nice and accommodating and seamlessly continued our meal after relocation. Drinks were awesome! High quality craft cocktails at a bargain $9.25 CAD... which really wowed us as we are from Seattle where such drinks are often $12 USD. I had a solid Margarita and then a cocktail everybody else seemed to be ordering: a Smokey Pineapple Hibiscus Margarita... simply delicious and artfully presented. The bartender even made my wife an impromptu gin old fashioned with thyme bitters! Yum! Food was great as well. As a vegetarian who loves BBQ and buffalo sauce, this place is heaven. The whisky BBQ things (real whisky in sauce) and Angry Burd sandwich were right up my alley. The crispyness of the faux fried chicken was nearly identical to typical fried chicken according to my carnivorous wife. The bread on the burger and the fresh veggies accoutrements were also stellar. Everything we ordered was a great value for the price. As well traveled foodies that have lived in San Francisco and Seattle, I rate this among the very best establishments serving faux meat. Reminded us of Dante's Weird Fish in San Francisco (now known as Urban Fish). read more

If, in the immortal words of Mr. Lou Reed, you're lookin' for soul food and a place to eat, you'll find it here and you don't even need to take a walk on the wild side.... The mac and cheese was spot on, though I wouldn't bother with the sausage, it was kinda dry. The caesar salad was delicious and DAMN, the !HOT! CHIGGIN' was HOT! The ganache tart was amazing, the cheesecake was small but perfectly formed, the beer was craft and vegan and tasty. The service was, well, cool, but adequate. The ONLY complaint is that, dear god, the sound system sucks. You know that souped-up Honda with the tinted windows and a sub woofer in the trunk that drives past you playing really bad hip hop. It's like that. Only worse. But the food? Rocks. read more

If you're a vegan, I've found your heaven! Decided to head out for dinner in Gaston last night and we spotted this hidden gem not knowing it was vegan. When we found out we decided to stay and give it a go! And lucky we did! Even though they were super busy, we were welcomed by a very smily hostess. She said there would be a wait but we didn't mind waiting at all (first world problems as they say!) We were finally seated by the window and the atmosphere was great. Our server was super attentive. He knew exactly what to recommend and I'm so glad we listened to him! I had the chilli fries and the southern burger!!! So yummy!! So over all the service 11/10 and the food 11/10 If you're a vegan this is your heaven! Will definitely be back!!!! read more

MeeT - A different take on a 'poutine' - gravy is made with nuts and it's flavorful - Burgers Near Me - Vancouver, British Columbia

I'm giving this place 4 because they have an overall great menu and service. However would give them 3 based on the taste of my burger In particular. I got the meet burger with a house made patty. I thought there'd be no need to substitute with a beyond burger because I've had that plenty of times and had faith that the house made would be a specialized experience. My burger was not good. My friends buffalo burger was amazing. The bowls were amazing. read more

The only good thing I can say about this place was the serving size and good chicken things but a bit to spicy to really enjoy even though I'm a hot sauce (Tabasco Sauce) addict. The mac and cheeze is average at best. One star due to the first time ordered mac and cheese w/ portabella shrooms and it only had 4 extremely small mushroom slices which cost 3.75 more! I cook quite a bit and this was definately not even one whole mushroom cap. Tried again w/ moms hamburger helper (mac and cheese w/ grounds, beans and tomato) and had to return it as there was no cheese cream. Basically the pasta w/ hardly enough tomato sauce to cover the pasta and a few beans and no cheese sauce. Absolutely aweful. Tasted like pasta w/ some canned beans mixed in. Probably the second worst vegan dish ever at a restaurant. Also had to wait at least 10 to 15 minites for entrees after appetizers were finished and restaurant was not very busy. Finally, during both visits there were gnats/fruit flies flying around the table. Place is really hit or miss on food and service. read more

Meh...don't get me wrong I love meat, but I can appreciate a good vegetarian meal. I didn't get a good vegetarian meal here. My daughter got the mac and cheese, which was tasteless and unfulfilling. My wife got the double burger which I tried and I was glad I didn't order that. I got the buffalo burger, which was okay, but I think that was because the patty was fried and covered in hot sauce, which hides some sins. All in all I was pretty underwhelmed and surprised by all the glowing reviews. I wish they had spent more time working on great stand alone vegetarian dishes rather than trying to replicate meat dishes and falling short. read more

Walking outside in the Gastown area of Vancouver when it's dark, raining, wet, and cold outside, you wouldn't think anyone would be having dinner at a local restaurant, but once we opened the door to MeeT in Gastown, we were surprised to find it almost completely full. This is a very hip mostly vegan restaurant in downtown Vancouver. We were quickly led to our seats, which were at a communal, long table, and given menus. The waitress came quickly, gave us the specials and we quickly placed our order. The order came and we ate. Everything was very efficient. My daughter ate the burger and fries. She said the burger tasted too non-meaty and she didn't enjoy it, but she did eat 75% of it without any prompting. My friend order their macaroni and cheez. It was a huge serving, which she got half of it wrapped up to go. My macro bowl was full of different flavors, which I enjoyed. We all enjoyed eating my daughter's left over fries. She also ordered a vegan caramel ice cream, which she remarked tasted too much for coconut and not enough caramel. While I don't think I'll be able to convince my daughter to come back to MeeT in Gastown, I think my husband would enjoy the food. While we are not a vegan family, we do try to eat as much non-meat as possible and have enjoyed vegan restaurants, mostly in Los Angeles. MeeT in Gastown compares to some vegan restaurant options in L.A. and for that, I am a fan. read more

I'm a sucker for any vegan restaurant but wow. First i started with the pineapple basil cocktail which was delicious and refreshing.
