I so love the Grass Jelly Milk Tea @ Meet Fresh. Everything is so freshly tastes. The Milk tea does NOT taste like powder. It has a smooth silky taste. The Grass Jelly is yummy. Meet Fresh has the BEST Milk Tea's. Planning ti try their dessert but never have time to sit and eat. I'm usually in a rush to order a drink and go.
Meet fresh has a wide variety of desserts to choose from with tons of flavors. The inside of large with tons of seating options including square and larger circle tables with booth seats. My friends and I decided to split 2 desserts and the employee also gave us a free drink because it was my friend's birthday! Everything was so cold and refreshing, nice for the hot weather outside. The portions were so nice too. The strawberry shaved ice was sweet and the strawberries tasted fresh. The ice cream paired really well with the strawberry ice flavor. However, the ice chunks were super hard at the end and took a while to break apart. The ice cream grass jelly with ice cream was so good too. It was a nice balance when creamer was added on top because it wasn't too sweet. The flavoring of the ice was good at the beginning but towards the end when everything melted, it became a little bland.
My fav Taiwanese sweets! You prob have had some of these exotic ingredients in your boba tea - grass jelly, boba, red beans and taro. This combo is sweet in different layers as well as texture. Not everyone is familiar with them but worth a try! The menu is always overwhelming because of the many combinations and possibilities. But no doubt it's authentic and are what you will get if you go to Taiwan. The service is fast and the space is clean. Would be my go-to in the summer time.
We always have a good experience coming to Meet Fresh. For a lover of Taiwanese food and snacks, Meet Fresh is a must each time we're in the area. We got their Icy Grass Jelly Signature, which is often large enough to satisfy two people. They provide non-dairy creamer to pour over the ice to add flavor that effortlessly complements the dessert. We also ordered an herbal grass jelly drink. What's excellent about Meet Fresh is that they make all their food and drinks fresh daily. Our food and drink came out about 5 minutes after ordering. They use a pager system to quickly inform people when it's time. Their taro and sweet potato balls have a nice, chewy texture. They are generous with their grass jelly, and the bottom of the dish has a good proportion of crushed ice. We enjoyed the herbal grass jelly drink on our trip back home. More people arrived after we got there, so we beat the rush and opted to sit outside to enjoy the sunny day. The place is usually quiet and conducive to group conversations. We typically see families and groups of friends gather at Meet Fresh. 5 stars from us; we'll be back again!
We got a medium mango milk shaved ice and a side of taro balls. This place is delicious has usual, we have been to both locations in houston multiple times. This is by far my favorite shaved ice place ever - I am taiwanese and this comes the closest to Taiwan style shaved ice & desserts. It was empty and lots of seating when we came on a Tuesday night. There was only one staff here, she was quick with our order but we stood in the store and waited for about 5 minutes before she helped us (she was on her phone in the back). I will say, maybe add a bell or something to the front door or ordering desk so we can call for someone when it's not busy.
Went to meet fresh in Katy Asia town and got the icy grass jelly signature. It was a late weekend night but we were the only ones there. It came with taro balls, grass jelly, and shaved ice. It comes with a creamer that you pour in and adds a lot to the flavor. I honestly didn't really care about the taro balls because usually they're flavorless but I liked the grass jelly. However, once the creamer ran out it wasn't as good. Not my favorite dessert but not bad either
Stopped by with a friend after dinner in the area recently. I usually go to the Bellaire location, so I decided to try the Katy location as well, why not. I got the Black Sugar Boba and the Chocolate Waffle, and my friend got the Taro Ball Tofu Pudding. The Black Sugar Boba was really sweet and filled to the top with ice (even though I asked for less ice). The Chocolate Waffle tasted okay. My friend said her Tofu Pudding tasted really weird unlike the Bellaire location, so she didn't like it at all. Overall, we probably would not come back to this location again.
This place is HORRIBLE!!! Had Meet Fresh in other states and they were all good! My girls love tofu pudding with boba so I ordered 3 for each one of them. Let me just save you money and suggest you to NOT bother wasting money on this! The tofu wasn't silky like it should and not only that it tastes burnt, all the bobas were clumped up together as well. Service was ok, you order at the front and then you'll get a pager to let you know when to get your order. The place will have arts on the wall that tells stories of the origin and how this place started. It's a little more on the quiet side which is nice to sit down and relax if that's what you'll like doing. Can't accommodate large groups unless if you all squeeze into 1 table.

Not too satisfied w/ the service and the boba strawberry slush I ordered was not what I expected. It was pretty crowded when I walked in and ordered my drink for to-go. I ordered a strawberry slush w/ boba, and they forgot the boba the first time even though I told them to add boba in my drink. I'm pretty sure the cashier didn't hear me well enough since there were many people inside. When my slush was ready, I noticed that the barista didn't add any boba to it--who hates it when you go to any place that serves boba and they run out of boba pearls, or you get your order messed up at any restaurant. I then told the barista that I asked for boba, and she told me she didn't hear me say that I wanted boba, so she then added a scoop of boba into my drink, w/o charging me extra. Moving onto the slush, it tasted milky and nothing like a slush or smoothie at all. They also added some kind of jelly too at the bottom, and the boba was a bit small. Hopefully, service will be better next time, and other drinks I'll try would be too. read more

We got one taro ball and one grass jelly ice bowl and both were really delicious and as a vegan, this is definitely a wonderful dessert place to go because most of their ice bowls don't have dairy in it except for the ones that are milk ice. I asked the cashier and she said that all the taro ball bowls are dairy free and the grass jelly bowls come with creamer that you can choose to leave out if you can't eat dairy. Their ice is not too sweet and has some unique flavors that you wouldn't get anywhere else, like their squishy taro balls mixed with some sweet potato, tapioca pearls, and grass jelly. For covid, they only have takeout where you order at the door on a touch screen and theyll bring it out to you. They have no indoor dining! read more

I'd give this place a solid four as I've rated above. The service was good and fast although I came at an off time so that would explain the fast service. I was also only trying the milk tea with boba. It's a good Milk tea but I wouldn't say it's the best. My friend has been introducing me to milk tea for the past few months and I've had better or at least what I prefer. This wasn't as creamy and I found the boba to be lacking in flavor versus other places I've tried. Don't get me wrong, this was a good tea and the service was great. I will probably return as they have Bingsu and it's summer so I need to try that as well. read more
We found ourselves here on a Thursday night, about 40 minutes before closing. There were a few tables and the place was bright and welcoming with little red paper lanterns and the walls had intro to their offerings and a story of how they started. This is a straight up Taiwanese dessert place; no fusion in sight. I only say that because the person behind us in line was Caucasian; she ordered something and left minutes after trying it, tossing most of it into the trash on the way out. My Asian self couldn't help but think of how utterly wasteful it was. Me being Asian American, I view these foods as snacks rather than desserts because they don't quite hit the spot to be decadent enough to be a dessert. My husband who is Taiwanese spotted this place and he wanted to go. Why not? I love new places and remembered going to similar places in Taiwan so why not get some goodies and see if this was the real deal? We went after dinner so we steered clear of anything full of taro, yam, or beans (and because I don't like beans and it drives me insane that Asians think beans are awesome in dessert). The lady was happy to answer my questions. We ended up with: - Signature icy grass jelly with less ice: these guys make their own stuff. It's an herbal jelly and has a slight bitter taste. It includes the taro and yam balls (my favorite) which were warm and perfectly tender and chewy and a lot of the grass jelly over a mound of ice that was nicely shaven and drenched in the grass jelly syrup. This syrup was bitter and, according to hubby, meant it was homemade. They have their own recipe. This comes with a small creamer on the side if you want to add it, which we did. - Taro Ball #6: various jellies, boba, and the taro/yam balls in a brown sugar "soup." I actually found the soup to be on the sweet side if you have no more goodies to chew on, since everything else had no taste or it was subtle. There are plenty of tables, though the one we eventually chose wasn't completely cleaned. We actually got our food first because ours was fairly straightforward. The food in general was good but we paid $16 for both of them, including tip. That makes it a bit pricey considering you get the same thing in Taiwan for only a maximum of $2, but I guess it's a novelty here. As per hubby, $5 per dish would have been more reasonable. For those two, I liked them but I also agreed that the price could be better, especially when we drove so far to try them. Kudos to them for having a changing table in the bathroom!! We'll probably return once more to try some other items to give the final verdict. This time, we'll come with more room in our bellies to test the value of the dishes. read more

Meet Fresh is located in the Katy Asian Town plaza. The desserts are authentic Taiwanese and are absolutely tasty! The pudding is soft, smooth, and pairs well with the subtle bouncy sticky texture in the mochi. You can taste the delightful brown sugar in the shaved ice. The blend of taro balls, boba, taro, and red beans in the shaved ice provide the best assortment to keep your mouth on a wonderful adventure! However, the desserts here cost more ($1-2 more) than similar ones in Chinatown. Overall, this place is great though! read more

Visually it's beautiful and interesting but taste wise it was confusing. I had no idea what to expect trying this dessert but it wasn't what I thought it would be. It was quite busy for a Sunday evening. They have plenty of seating. I chose the SIGNATURE ICY GRASS JELLY. It seemed like a popular one. It came with GRASS JELLY FLAVORED SHAVED ICE, GRASS JELLY ON TOP, TARO BALLS, and a side of cream for you to add on your own. When I get a dessert I want something sweet. This dessert was refreshing, however, it just lacked in flavor. Grass jelly usually has a pretty bland flavor and a little bitter. I think if they had the option to make it sweeter or added some sweetener to the shaved ice or soaked the jelly in simple syrup it would enhance the flavor. Some people probably enjoy how mild it is but for me I need a little bit more. I'm open to coming back and trying other things. They do give a pretty nice portion. You ordered at the counter and they give you a buzzer that will let you know when your order is ready. read more

Not up to standards. It's a nice looking place. It really is. We got the ice taro ball 3. We subbed the peanuts for rice balls. The toppings, which consisted of tapioca balls, taro balls, rice balls and red bean, did not mesh well together. Something didn't feel right. Texture wise. Needed more "umph" which I thought the ice would have provided but didnt. The tapioca felt like it had no business there. And I honestly really felt like it was bland. It had a tad sweet spot if you dug deep to the bottom of the bowl, but overall the experience for me was bland. 3 stars was being nice. read more

I am wayyyyy obsessed with Taiwanese shaved ice and had extremely high expectations for this place. Luckily, Meet Fresh did not disappoint! The ice was perfectly crunchy but not too rough, the brown sugar syrup was sweet but not too sweet, and the taro balls.... omg those were absolutely divine. Perfectly QQ... just the right amount of chewiness. Places that serve taro balls are nearly impossible to find in Houston and boy oh boy am I happy we have this place now to satisfy my cravings. Cannot wait to go back and try all the ice!! read more

Very little food for 10 dollars. Sit in given a take out container instead of a bowl. Looked nothing like the picture. Update: Thanks owner for responding. Debated for a while if I should reply to the response given and felt obligated to do so. The food received was mostly sugar water, you cannot see any content in the picture because it is mostly water! Yes, the content sink but it wasn't much of it so I cannot say I enjoyed it. I don't know how many folks you got in the kitchen, you only had one cashier working at the time I was there and it wasn't busy. I was the only one ordering at the time and had received the food before next folks came in to order. No workers were cleaning so the place isn't very clean looking and we had to clean our own table because it was sticky. Also, the place was stuffy with a funny odor during that afternoon. I should had left due to that but decided to try due to the reviews and I had never been to this chain before so not sure what to expect. I need to give my experience for that day because I had read reviews before coming here also. Maybe I was just unlucky who went on the wrong day and time and gotten this type of service. read more

Ughhh!!! It makes me so mad that I ordered my drink Togo and drinking it at home because now I can't get my money back! I came to this place because the one in Houston tasted good. Boy was I wrong??? I thought franchise would taste all same. Wrong!! I ordered milk tea with brown sugar boba... I had two sips and I threw out the whole thing. Drink tasted like a medicine.... Yuk.... Came in late evening on a Tuesday night for dessert. Place was still pretty busy. Portions are big even for the smaller sizes. Love their shaved ice. Not too sure about the taro though. For some reason it tasted sour. Overall great place for a quick dessert for a hot Texas summer. read more

It's owned by someone named Mr Fletcher, but as of yet I've been unable to "Meet Fletch." However it really really really really really is amazing, I've finally determined. Of course it depends what you order, because there are certain things on the menu that aren't great and a lot of the popular stuff is just your typical red bean mung bean type stuff which might not really Blow Your Horn and Toot Your Trumpet and any of the other cliches that you can think of. I feel like Gretchen really did make "Fetch" happen, and now the word embodies a lot of meanings for me. But embodies implies it's a person, and has a physical body, in which case, can I "Meet Fetch"? But when it comes to the actual Mochi dessert and the egg custard and the side of boba - oh my God every bite is perfection. There's a reason why they're so popular. Service here is really friendly as well and prices aren't even bad, because if you get that little portion that we got, it comes out pretty cheap and is a good dessert to split with two people - unless you like huge portions. I've met so many Italians and Spaniards in Katy TX, but I'm still waiting to Meet French. So we'll definitely be back in future and will definitely try all the different Meet Freshies around the country, so you can look forward to a lot of sexy pictures in different places. I've visited this location many times now and have had a consistently positive experience. There usually isn't a wait and it's very easy to order and convenient. I'm not too big fan of a sweet stuff but I can say this one is a good one! For your reward or celebration or causal events, it's gonna go well with it. Also staff are so nice and friendly. read more

Walked into to Meet fresh and they had three employees at counter. They never said hello or welcome or try and help us understand the menu. I wanted a green tea and choose the jasmine green tea and it was very good. My husband wanted the shaved ice with fresh mango aNd strawberries topped with scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was huge but very sweet and tasty. I recommend but not sure if I will return!!! read more

A Taiwanese dessert place in Katy Chinatown. Tons of cold/hot dessert and drink options. Tried the signature ice grass jelly with creamer (comes on the side you can add in, would recommend to add!) and it was delicious! The grass jelly you can taste the freshness of it (its not really sweet/slightly bitter), but to me, the freshly made taro and yam balls were my favorite. They were perfectly the right chewy consistency and you can actually taste the taro, I just wished there was more! The mix of top of the syrupy ice and cream was good. The price is a bit high, but its a really big bowl and can really feed at least 2 people. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu! read more

First time visiting here on a week day around 12:45 pm. Not surprised that no one is here except me since this is more of an Asian dessert place. I ordered hot grass jelly signature with added taro balls. I have had this in the past (to go) and this is the first time that everything in it was super mushy! The red beans, the boba, the taro balls was disappointing to eat. The only thing that was good was the grass jelly. Hope this was just an one off! read more

2.5 stars SIGNATURE ICY GRASS JELLY $7.60? (2/5)- taro balls, grass jelly, sweet potato taro balls, grass jelly flavored ice. I had higher expectations and don't really understand the rave reviews. If you like sweets, this is NOT for you. It was pretty bland and pricey. I really like taro, but these taro balls didn't have much flavor, they were just chewy. The grass jelly was a little more bitter than I like. Feeds at least 2. MANGO SHAVED ICE $12.80 (3.5/5)- saw this poster on the window outside. Now THIS was a real dessert. The mango was so ripe and sweet and they loaded it up. The vanilla ice cream was very creamy and soft. I believe there was condensed milk on the ice too. The ice however was harder than the grass jelly ice, and Sul Bing Su's ice is much softer. Overall a yummy, sweet dessert, but it's $13! It's HUGE though and will feed at least 4, but what about those who want to share with just their significant other? I probably won't come back. The desserts here are great, but when I went they were out of a majority of their items. I was going to order the strawberry mango milk shaved ice but they were out of mango. The strawberry one was still great, and I would definitely go back to get it again! They were also out of their bubble waffles when I went, so hopefully if I go back i can try them next time read more

For approximately $8, it's something I can easily make at home. I expected more! Very disappointing! Portions were definitely not $8 worth too. read more
A dream come true for me I had not had this ever since me and my family moved here to the states and I am so grateful for this place. I always get tofu pudding and herbal grass jelly. It's so good for you especially for a dessert because instead of making you feel full it lightens your stomach and cools down your body. I love coming to the Katy Asia Town to explore all the new establishments in the area whenever I get a chance. I came across Meet Fresh, which is a Taiwanese dessert place, and it definitely did not disappoint! First off, I had no idea Meet Fresh was a chain (Houston's always the last to get everything no matter how diverse we are) so I am THRILLED that I can get this outside of Houston as well. My boyfriend doesn't like beans so I tried to pick something that didn't have red beans. I chose the Signature Icy Grass Jelly and omg, so much nostalgia. Brings me back to the good old days when my mom and grandma would make grass jelly at home. The dessert consists of grass jelly, taro balls, and grass jelly flavored shaved ice with creamer on the side. It was so refreshing and if I wasn't so full from lunch earlier then I would have finished the whole thing. We also got an Oolong Milk Tea that was really good as well. The portions were decent and the place is very family-friendly. I can't wait to bring my parents and sister here one day! read more

I've only ever gotten the signature icy grass jelly (and only 3 times), but it's consistent and good every time. Basically, it's shaved grass jelly flavored ice (similar to the ice shaving popular in Chinatown). Then, it's topped with silky smooth grass jelly and taro balls. The taro balls are similar to rice cakes, where they're a bit chewier than tapioca, but helps add texture to the dish. If you don't like super sweet desserts or are a fan of grass jelly, then you'll absolutely love this. Also, definitely need to add the milk creamer. I think it gives the dessert some much needed creaminess, otherwise I don't think the effect will be the same. I'd also recommend eating it there. I took it to-go once for my parents to try, and it wasn't much of a hit. read more

There is usually a line, but it goes quick. The main issue is finding a seat. We had to share a table last time we were there. The price is not bad about &5-$8. The food was not bad. When coming in there was actually a discount of buy $10 to get 15% off I feel like this place could be a hit or miss for some people due to the flavor. For example, the grass jelly has a light bitter taste to it that not all people would like. It's very refreshing to eat hot or cold. I also got the shaved ice and it's much larger than I expected. Their shaved ice is covered in condensed milk but I wish they had the option to do brown sugar. read more
Meet Fresh; Meet Taro Q Balls! "Hot Taro Ball #2" with sweet potato, barley, boba, taro balls and red bean sweet soup, served in large portion, is good for sharing, and the regular-sized taro balls (not the mini balls!) are pretty filling. Ladies with a big, big sweet tooth could take this whole bowl of deliciousness as a meal rather than dessert and be pampered! Lol. The lightly sweetened taro balls are gooey and tasty; love 'em lots! Got another Purple Rice Drink with mini taro/ sweet potato balls and stuff.....which was just A-OK though. Would love to go back to try the pudding desserts! read more

The Almond soup was very refreshing, albeit need to be a tad sweeter. Love the sweet potato taro balls in the hot Almond soup. The pudding with Q mochi milk shaved ice is just humongous! Katy, Meet Fresh! I first tried Meet Fresh a few weeks ago in Plano and I LOVED it. My first thought was, why don't we have this in Houston. Well, lo and behold, I looked it up and Meet Fresh was set to open in Katy, right by my parents' house! I was very excited to go and took my entire family. We shared the a shaved ice with pudding/mochi. The pudding was delicious and the mochi was super soft and fresh! We loved it all, but felt like there weren't quite enough toppings. Next time, I would probably get a different shaved ice and add the almond pudding (soooo goood). It's a huge dessert and enough for 4 to share - but if you want more topping variety, the icy bowls are probably the better way to go. I love that there is finally a place to get traditional Taiwanese desserts! My dad was very happy this place arrived. The interior is very bright and there is a lot of seating. Been looking forward to the opening of Meet Fresh for a long time and we've been twice in 1 week XD Our favorite is the signature icy grass jelly because it reminds us of TW. The grass jelly flavored ice is something you can't find at other TW dessert places. The creamer pod that comes with the dessert adds a creaminess to the dessert. The best part is the chewy sweet potato and taro balls. They are the epitome of TW's love of textured food. Super Q!!! We also tried their tofu pudding which they make fresh at the store, but the sweet soup is very sweet. Sweet potato taro balls are super interesting because it's sweet potato ball as skin filled with taro filling. If it's not all the way in Katy and 3-4X the price in TW, we would probably go every day! read more

I love this place! I came for the first time last night and per the cashier's recommendation, I got the signature icy grass jelly and added an almond pudding for $1. It came with shaved ice at the bottom, a layer of grass jelly, chewy taro balls on top (a mochi consistency), and a pod of coffee creamer to pour on! The almond pudding add on was also nice and sweet. the grass jelly and ice combination was so refreshing without being overly sweet!! I can't wait to come back and try more! read more
