The menu is pretty exhaustive and there are a variety of warm and cold desserts. Unfortunately, I only got a chance to try the cold desserts. The shaved ice I got was pretty good. It was loaded with mochi, jelly, ice cream, and various other toppings. It was a very beautiful dessert. The only problem is that the shaved ice was a little too "icy." It doesn't melt in your mouth like it should and the condensed milk wasn't poured evenly over the ice which left some bites incredibly underwhelming (pretty much like chewing ice). I went with my family and I tried one of the shaved ice options. It was pretty good; but expensive compared to Taiwan. They also had to go containers if you don't finish, which is pretty cool. Although that only really works for the hot options. One thing I thought was strange is they gave us coffee creamer as a sauce or something. I probably just didn't understand what it was for. They include hot and cold dishes, so everyone can get something to their liking here. They have the traditional tofu with ginger syrup to taro balls soup. We went with the Pudding & Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice, along with some grass jelly plus taro balls thing that my friend also ordered. Let's just say, if you have 2-3 people in the group, only the Shaved Ice would suffice. It was SOOOO HUGE! We had a hard time finishing it up. The dessert was definitely tasty, with condensed milk-infused shaved ice, egg pudding & almond pudding, mochi cakes, and additional random toppings, and ICE CREAM! They are also great options for those who don't like red bean. Both have flavored shaved ice at the bottom of the bowl, which is not too sweet so it doesn't overpower the rest of the flavors in the bowl. The only topping I found underwhelming was the taro ball, since it did not have much taro flavor. It's fun to explore Meet Fresh after my Hmart grocery trip. It was Sunday around noon and the store was packed. People lined up out of the door. Most customers had to scout where to sit while they were in line so it was quite stressful. When I placed my order, there was no where left to sit or even stand to wait. This experience took away the joy of eating out for me but I understand that it must have been peak time for them. The desserts were fun to pick. I was amazed by the variety of toppings that they offered. There are various topping combinations and then you can add more for 50 cents or $1 more for each other toppings not included. It's a very subtle sweet - so if you're an American cookie kind of fan, it would taste very bland. I do appreciate the natural herbal jelly flavor and the lack of sugar in the dessert. Next door to Sul Bing Su and one minute walking to H Mart, is a Taiwanese original dessert bar with really delicious taro, hand made mochi balls of different kinds, pudding and shaved ice etc. On the left side of menu is a list of 5 top sellers, we tried the first and last, loved both, the one with Q Mochi shaved ice is HUGE, as in, you can share among 3 people. The Q mochi is delicious, so chewy and sweet. The shaved ice has herbal jelly and condensed milk inside, and their ingredients are fresh and delicious (like taro, sweet potato, red beans etc). The only topping I didn't like was their tapioca, which were hard and not chewy. I really loved it! It's a great take on a simple, refreshing, traditional dessert. Some may say it's a bit overpriced, but I know I am way too lazy to make this dessert. Everything was so good. It's this massive bowl of just stuff. It's so refreshing. The grass jelly is sitting on top of soft shaved grass jelly ice. The sweet potato and Taro balls are chewy. However, there wasn't really a strong flavor of either sweet potato or taro. Which is honestly a good thing. I also poured the cream on top, which didn't have much flavor, but it did make the dessert a little bit more creamy. Duh? The black sesame rice balls are my favorite. Next time, I really want to try the tofu pudding dessert! I love traditional Asian desserts. This place does get crowded. It's close to Hmart and it's actually in the same Shopping Center. There's plenty of parking. Whenever you order, you might be a little anxious to see that there are no tables available, but don't worry, things do work out. They also seem to be busy with to-go orders as well. You can definitely split a bowl of the desert with somebody else. And you will be plenty satisfied. I lived in California near the original US location, so I am used to eating MF for years. Moving back to Austin, I was glad it was in Katy on my business encounters. Grass Jelly and Taro Ball desserts at this location pairs very well. We got Icy Grass Jelly #4 and #6 last night. It was perfect except there were some problems which were typical around 2 hours of close within most meet fresh locations. When we asked for lychee jelly or noodle jelly, they were out, which was sort of disappointing. The girl let us add in red bean for a substitution which was nice for #6 which has noodle jelly. Milk Tea could have been better. Although the milk tea is made with white sugar, the tea taste is very diluted. We ordered two. One with red bean and boba and another with pudding. Customer Service last night was just horrible or FANGPI. The guy in glasses just decided to put my dessert in a to go bowl which is sad because I was going to share. I spoke it to him in English and it seemed that if you speak English to him, he does whatever. For all others except me and this one other party who was serviced in Mandarin, they all got eat in bowls for eat in orders except for me and this guy and the other party. I think this is quite unacceptable as whether I speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish, I am expected to get what I paid for and the exact DAMN ORDER. I tried correcting the guy and made sure I get what I want in which I finally got what I want, but this is unacceptable. Additionally, I had to wait over 20 minutes for an order, with which just 2 parties ordered one or two things in front of me. I have lost faith in most Meet Fresh locations in Texas as this locations customer service is very poor as Plano on Coit and Park and food quality is bad at another location in Plano on Spring Creek and Alma. They do not have the BUSINESS RULE: The customer is always right. I am logically right honestly. My order enlisted on the menu is $6.80 and the cashier took my order in a different way by splitting my order into two sections which total cost is $7.30 (do little maths), and she said the order system does not have my drink listed so she did that but the price will be the same as the menu. I understood her reason, but I found out that the prices did not match so I asked her again to double checked, she still said the prices are the same without checking. I didn't care about the 50 cent difference, I cared about her attitude towards me, so I waited until I had the receipt on hand. Then I got the chance to talk to the manager, everything was great and cleared until she talked back to me and her manager, and still insisted that the prices are the same (even her manager admitted that she was wrong) I wish her luck in her future with that kind of attitude when doing customer service. read more

Made an unexpected visit to Meet Fresh when the dessert spot my fiancé and I were planning on going to was out of seating. Meet Fresh had plenty of seating and was larger. I decided to order the first thing I saw, which was the shaved ice with mochi and pudding. It was a lot larger than we expected. The dessert was large enough to share with 3~4 people. It was delicious. My favorite part was the soft mochi. It also had egg pudding, almond pudding, ice cream, and other sweets I was not too familiar with. We also ordered some sort of milk tea with taro. The taro mixes with the milk tea and makes a thick smooth drink.
