This taro-tally delicious dessert treat had high quality and fresh ingredients. The soft and chewiness of the taro balls were amazing. So refreshing to enjoy while it was so hot out.
I so love the Grass Jelly Milk Tea @ Meet Fresh. Everything is so freshly tastes. The Milk tea does NOT taste like powder. It has a smooth silky taste. The Grass Jelly is yummy. Meet Fresh has the BEST Milk Tea's. Planning ti try their dessert but never have time to sit and eat. I'm usually in a rush to order a drink and go.
Meet fresh has a wide variety of desserts to choose from with tons of flavors. The inside of large with tons of seating options including square and larger circle tables with booth seats. My friends and I decided to split 2 desserts and the employee also gave us a free drink because it was my friend's birthday! Everything was so cold and refreshing, nice for the hot weather outside. The portions were so nice too. The strawberry shaved ice was sweet and the strawberries tasted fresh. The ice cream paired really well with the strawberry ice flavor. However, the ice chunks were super hard at the end and took a while to break apart. The ice cream grass jelly with ice cream was so good too. It was a nice balance when creamer was added on top because it wasn't too sweet. The flavoring of the ice was good at the beginning but towards the end when everything melted, it became a little bland.
My fav Taiwanese sweets! You prob have had some of these exotic ingredients in your boba tea - grass jelly, boba, red beans and taro. This combo is sweet in different layers as well as texture. Not everyone is familiar with them but worth a try! The menu is always overwhelming because of the many combinations and possibilities. But no doubt it's authentic and are what you will get if you go to Taiwan. The service is fast and the space is clean. Would be my go-to in the summer time.
We always have a good experience coming to Meet Fresh. For a lover of Taiwanese food and snacks, Meet Fresh is a must each time we're in the area. We got their Icy Grass Jelly Signature, which is often large enough to satisfy two people. They provide non-dairy creamer to pour over the ice to add flavor that effortlessly complements the dessert. We also ordered an herbal grass jelly drink. What's excellent about Meet Fresh is that they make all their food and drinks fresh daily. Our food and drink came out about 5 minutes after ordering. They use a pager system to quickly inform people when it's time. Their taro and sweet potato balls have a nice, chewy texture. They are generous with their grass jelly, and the bottom of the dish has a good proportion of crushed ice. We enjoyed the herbal grass jelly drink on our trip back home. More people arrived after we got there, so we beat the rush and opted to sit outside to enjoy the sunny day. The place is usually quiet and conducive to group conversations. We typically see families and groups of friends gather at Meet Fresh. 5 stars from us; we'll be back again!
We got a medium mango milk shaved ice and a side of taro balls. This place is delicious has usual, we have been to both locations in houston multiple times. This is by far my favorite shaved ice place ever - I am taiwanese and this comes the closest to Taiwan style shaved ice & desserts. It was empty and lots of seating when we came on a Tuesday night. There was only one staff here, she was quick with our order but we stood in the store and waited for about 5 minutes before she helped us (she was on her phone in the back). I will say, maybe add a bell or something to the front door or ordering desk so we can call for someone when it's not busy.
Stopped by with a friend after dinner in the area recently. I usually go to the Bellaire location, so I decided to try the Katy location as well, why not. I got the Black Sugar Boba and the Chocolate Waffle, and my friend got the Taro Ball Tofu Pudding. The Black Sugar Boba was really sweet and filled to the top with ice (even though I asked for less ice). The Chocolate Waffle tasted okay. My friend said her Tofu Pudding tasted really weird unlike the Bellaire location, so she didn't like it at all. Overall, we probably would not come back to this location again.
Went to meet fresh in Katy Asia town and got the icy grass jelly signature. It was a late weekend night but we were the only ones there. It came with taro balls, grass jelly, and shaved ice. It comes with a creamer that you pour in and adds a lot to the flavor. I honestly didn't really care about the taro balls because usually they're flavorless but I liked the grass jelly. However, once the creamer ran out it wasn't as good. Not my favorite dessert but not bad either
I usually ate at Bellaire location. This time I was in Asian town and decided to stop by. Pretty much same quality of food and prices This place is usually packed on the weekend but we didn't have to wait long.

This place is HORRIBLE!!! Had Meet Fresh in other states and they were all good! My girls love tofu pudding with boba so I ordered 3 for each one of them. Let me just save you money and suggest you to NOT bother wasting money on this! The tofu wasn't silky like it should and not only that it tastes burnt, all the bobas were clumped up together as well. Service was ok, you order at the front and then you'll get a pager to let you know when to get your order. The place will have arts on the wall that tells stories of the origin and how this place started. It's a little more on the quiet side which is nice to sit down and relax if that's what you'll like doing. Can't accommodate large groups unless if you all squeeze into 1 table.
I tried their Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. The milk tea was good. I think it's a common tea so can't mess that up. The service was really fast. Inside was nice and clean. Plenty of seating available.
Not bad but not good. I like to switch it up every now and then and come here if I feel like having dessert with drinks
We liked this pace before but after becoming pregnant I'm literally obsessed. If I don't have a grass jelly fix weekly I am not a nice person, LOL. I unashamedly admit I have had an unhealthy amount of grass jelly and don't intend to slow down now. The shaved ice bowls are absolutely delicious as well either fresh fruit. MeetFresh is one of my favorite places to recommend for delicious, inexpensive desserts, especially when I'm trying to satisfy a group with a serious sweet tooth. I have a ton of younger cousins who are always working with an allowance budget, so finding somewhere that can actually appease their appetite without breaking the bank is not easy--especially if you're feeding 10+ kids. MeetFresh's $15 giant desserts are truly the king of both budget and flavor. I cannot stress enough how much of a hit this place was the first time I recommended it to my cousins. Whether I'm with them or not, they always make a point to stop by whenever they drive into Houston from College Station. For that reason alone, MeetFresh holds a special place in my heart. It has given my large family a fun, worthwhile experience time and time again. On my most recent visit, we had a friend flying in from Chicago, so we brought him and his girlfriend here. We collectively ordered the Taro Mochi Milk Shaved Ice, and wow--if you're a fan of Chinese herbal flavors, this is the dessert for you. I usually stick with the mango or strawberry fruit dishes, but this one reminded me of Sâm Bổ Lượng, a Vietnamese chè/sweet soup. The flavors were earthy, comforting, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. I genuinely could not stop eating it until the very end, when all that was left was a puddle of melted ice and mixed-up dessert "schlop" -- LOL. Truly, thank you, MeetFresh, for being such a great place to gather, share, and enjoy dessert without needing a huge budget. read more
Nut allergy WARNING: Yeah, they use a LOT of nuts here. The nice person making our order did verify with me on everything, including sesame, and I was fine with our order. Would be very careful because they don't mark all of the dishes correctly - some things with almonds still do not have the nut allergy marking. We got here around 10PM, where was actually some parking in a normally packed plaza. Time-to-Order: 5 Minutes We went with a red bean milk shaved ice dish with mochi and happily shared it among five people. I'd say it's definitely sharable with 4, maybe with 2, and would be a ton to eat for one person. It's nicely separated where you can grab bites of whatever you want to try. Pros. A good variety of snacks and drinks The waitress knows the menu very well. Knows what to suggest to customers. Waffles are good not overly sweet. Cons. No forks nor chopsticks, only soup spoons. Kids came in and made so much noise I wanted to leave. Me and my friend ordered two drinks, mung bean cake and a matcha red bean waffle. The waffle was just right and freshly made, I feel like it didn't need any add ons like drips or ice cream perfectly fine alone. The cashier knows what to suggest. Only problem I had was no utensils to eat cake and waffles. I'm assuming I just use my hands? read more

Very slow day since it was a weekday when we got here so we had a lot of time to figure out what we wanted. I was definitely overwhelmed with how much they have on the menu! I ended going with the Coco Mochi Sago drink. It was a really rich drink since it has coconut milk and the mochi made it super thick. I will say it was tasty and refreshing but it's not a regular milk tea type drink but like a drinkable dessert. Next time I would like to try their dessert bowls. read more

I love how the shaved ice taste!!! It's on point. On the other hand, the workers need to learn friendliness and speak some English to communicate with customers. It just goes a long way when you can extend your customer service to non-chinese customers as well. read more

My dad is obsessed with this place! It is the perfect place to get a sweet bite that isn't TOO sweet! Very refreshing and good place to eat with friends too! The mochi & jello is so tasteful and delicious. The staff is friendly. The decor is great to hang out with friends and family or even take to go! read more

A great place for refreshing desserts! We always end up getting the icy traditional dessert which is not too sweet and perfect for a hot summer/typical Texas day lol. It's shaved ice with grass/herbal jelly and you can add additional toppings; this dessert traditionally comes with taro mochi and half and half to top it all off. Don't expect too much in terms of customer service, you grab your order from the counter and scramble to find a seat. Price-wise this place is fair in comparison, the desserts are a good portion to share - we shared 2 desserts amongst 6 people and had plenty left over. Highly recommend the Meet Fresh franchise if you're looking for a nice dessert place to try! read more

We got one taro ball and one grass jelly ice bowl and both were really delicious and as a vegan, this is definitely a wonderful dessert place to go because most of their ice bowls don't have dairy in it except for the ones that are milk ice. I asked the cashier and she said that all the taro ball bowls are dairy free and the grass jelly bowls come with creamer that you can choose to leave out if you can't eat dairy. Their ice is not too sweet and has some unique flavors that you wouldn't get anywhere else, like their squishy taro balls mixed with some sweet potato, tapioca pearls, and grass jelly. For covid, they only have takeout where you order at the door on a touch screen and theyll bring it out to you. They have no indoor dining! read more

I came here with some friends and tried out their special mangoberry (half mango, half strawberry) shaved ice and was not disappointed! I ordered a medium to share and it was still insanely huge, definitely felt like a good value for the price. Others in the group tried the mochi, mung bean cakes, and grass jelly bowls. Everyone was very satisfied with their orders! Staff was friendly and helpful and the desserts were made quickly. The dining area was clean and perfect for our large group to hang out and catch up in. read more
A refreshing dessert that doesn't weigh you down after a full meal. I always get the signature taro ball with grass jelly because everything tastes so fresh. You can clearly discern the sweet potato and taro flavor from the chewy balls. They are also quite generous with the toppings so one bowl can be easily shared between two people. My favorite topping recently has been the almond pudding - so creamy and smooth. One downside to this place is that management doesn't seem to care about the upkeep. Trash can area and bathroom area is extremely dirty, which is a shame because this used to be a nice place to sit down and chill with your friends. read more

Clean interior with lots of games and seating area! I went to pick up a drink and red bean soup and the service was pretty slow since the place was packed on Saturday night. Jasmine Green Tea with QQ mochi and jelly - 4.5/5 The only reason this isn't a 5/5 is because the QQ mochi had no Q!!! It wasn't chewy and tasted like it had been sitting soft for a while. Otherwise the drink was the right amount of sweet and the melon jelly was delicious. Red Bean Soup Combination C - 4/5 I didn't realize this but the red bean soup is actually just red bean paste with hot red bean soup microwaved. It's still really good and the tang yuan was pretty QQ even after a day and getting microwaved at home again. read more
Went here to finish off my Katy Asian Town restaurant hopping with a cup of milk tea (chaser?). I ordered my go-to drink I usually get at the other Meet Fresh located on Bellaire, the fresh milk black tea with boba. I don't think the barista here got the ratio right; there was way more tea than milk, to the point it tasted watered down. I usually like my milk tea with the sugar toned down, but this one had absolutely no sweetness to it like milk tea should have. I'll give a star for boba consistency though, it was just the right amount of chewy. Maybe it was a slow day? Next time I'll take my boba craving over to Gong Cha or Sharetea and save the Meet Fresh for Chinatown. read more

They can vary the amount of sugar and sweetness in their drinks so that's why we went here for boba tea. We ordered the latte boba. There's a check in discount if 10% which I only discovered after we ordered so it was too late. read more
A big fan of Meet Fresh! This location is located in the Katy Asian area and it was good here. The consistent quality of the desserts here is why it has grown in popularity all over. The tofu dessert was amazing. My friends desserts icy grass jelly was also super delicious. Service was good. read more
Meet Fresh is a place that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. Shaved ice is one of my favorite desserts and it tastes very authentic to the true dish served in Taiwan. A single plate is pretty expensive but the portions are pretty big, so it the dishes are great to share. I ordered the signature ice grass jelly, my favorite part is pouring the cream on top. The textures of the grass jelly, taro and sweet potato mocha, and ice all balance each other out perfectly and makes for a great bite. The dish is just the perfect sweetness as it's pretty easy to go too sweet with this dessert. Overall delicious dessert, very clean cute interior, great experience. read more

I got the Hot grass jelly (option c), which is "warm" grass jelly with melon jello, mochi balls, peanuts, and boba. The liquid was steaming and warm in some spots, but otherwise everything was room temperature. I expected it to be piping hot since other sweet soups in other shops are served really hot when they say they're "hot". read more
