I'm happy to say that I "discovered" this hidden gem!…read more I was driving by from work one evening and drove past this food trailer. Not only did it catch my eye because it was 'out of place' but it was also because it looked clean, new and most importantly I was hungry. I turned around and gave it a shot. Like always, when trying something new, I went into it without any high expectations (other than my normal pickiness when it comes to food) , so: Pros: The place is New and Clean The hours are long - from 6:30am - 6:30pm Plenty of parking with easy access. Pick-nick table to sit at Good seasoning Good variety of items / meats to choose from Cons: Only takes cash tacos are a bit steep for me ($2 each) no shade to be under during a sunny day. it can get dusty as cars drive by so know this before you sit down My first order was 3 tacos, two fajita and one pastor, ($6) plus one 'agua de horchata' ($3). -I went to my car and took a bite out of each of the different taco meats. It was GREAT! , fresh, juicy, well seasoned. the tortillas were warmed up to the right spot where its soft, yet a bit toasted with the oil so it is also somewhat crunchy. Delicious! I then stepped out of my car and ordered an additional 18 tacos (it got expensive really fast!) to take home and feed my family :D - yes, i know that is a lot, but you have to understand - WE LOVE TACOS! I am waiting for the weekend to go try their grilled chicken plates with Fajita. - i'm sure it will also be delicious. If you get a chance and are near by (or even if you are not), swing by and give them a try! And like always, Happy Yelping!

Y'all, their food is SO good!…read more It's a food truck that's kind of tucked away in the parking lot of a landscaping business on Katy-Hockley, & I'm so glad we happened upon it. We've been a few times now & have never had anything that wasn't delicious. (My son particularly loves their pupusas with an ice cold melon Aqua Fresca.) The ladies that run it don't speak English, but we've never had any trouble with our order being wrong & they're really sweet.

I have been a customer of the Taco Fuego food truck in Katy for over a year and have always enjoyed…read morethe food and service. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was so unacceptable that I will never return. When placing my order, the employee taking my order appeared intoxicated. His eyes were drooping and closing, he repeatedly paused, mumbled, and seemed to struggle entering my order. Although this was concerning, I chose to overlook it and waited patiently. After about 10 minutes, I simply returned to ask whether my order had been placed and if it was ready. I was not upset, in a hurry, or complaining. I only wanted confirmation that my order existed because the employee kept responding, "No orders, no orders," despite me showing him my receipt. Due to an apparent language barrier, I called my Hispanic husband and handed the employee my phone so he could ask the same simple question in Spanish. Instead of helping, the employee began yelling at my husband. Another employee joined in, and both started yelling while walking away with my phone. When the phone was returned, I still had no idea what had happened or whether my order was being prepared. The situation escalated for no reason. The employees began yelling at me, aggressively slammed the service windows shut, ignored me, and treated me as if I had done something wrong. I remained calm throughout the entire interaction and repeatedly stated that there was no problem--I simply wanted to know if my order had been placed. Eventually, the food was thrown together carelessly, shoved into a bag, and handed to me with obvious hostility. The food quality was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. What disappointed me most was that this entire situation was completely unnecessary. I was respectful, patient, and simply asking a basic question. The combination of an employee who appeared intoxicated, the aggressive and unprofessional behavior from both employees, and the poor quality of the food made this one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning.

I think this was just a really bad day for all employees involved. I'll leave the below for…read moreveracity but want to include my previous stuff anyway. I've gotten the food here a few times over the last few years but the service my wife received today was ridiculous and unprofessional. Antonio was present and can vouch for what happened. My wife approached, looked at the menu, and called for my order. At that time the man in the truck pulled the tip jar in behind the window and then moved away from the window when my wife tried to order. Another person (antonio) had to take my wife's order. Bad enough. After she ordered and went to wait in the car a hispanic young man arrived, the same guy put the tip jar back out and took his order with no issue. We won't be back. We go out of our way to support food trucks and the birria ramen is good enough. The guys in the truck are even fighting, slamming items, and throwing things at each other in front of customers. This is at 3:20 PM on June 16th. One of the guys is/was bleeding and this is just a bad day all around. The food is good, the meat is always savory and juicy. Really depends on who you get cooking. Either way I don't appreciate how my wife was treated and I want to believe this was just a bad day. Things to consider. Good atmosphere and solid food truck experience.

Ok, this is the 2nd time for me. Got the 1lb little Philly. Service is good. No issue there…read more The cheese steak is good. NOT better than Pat's or Gino's in Philadelphia.... Pat's and Gino's are a high A.... Tastee is a solid mid B. STILL GOOD. Would I go back? Yup. This is probably a good once a month kind of place. Minor gripe. Bread could be better. Mine felt like it was a little stale but re-heated with steam.... If they had a better loaf of bread and like 20% more cheese, it would be a solid A.

Different Kinds of Cheesesteaks--This One Deserves Its Own Lane…read more I think people really need to acknowledge that there are different types of cheesesteaks. Not all of them are made to be compared--some are just totally different styles, and that's not a bad thing. I've been wanting to try this spot for a while after seeing the debates about who has the best cheesesteak in Houston. The only thing that held me back was the location. I finally made the trip--and I'm glad I did. First off: customer service. Let's be real--food trucks sometimes don't deliver on this, but that was not the case here. Super friendly and attentive. It made a big difference. What I tried: * Chicken cheesesteak with shrimp - Delicious. Messy, cheesy, and indulgent. If you're someone who likes your cheesesteaks loaded with toppings like lettuce or tomato, this might not be your thing. But if you're into a bold, no-frills kind of sub? You'll love it. * Philly steak eggroll - Fire. * Fries - These were wild. Battered like fried chicken, perfectly crispy. I might honestly come back just for the fries. * Corned beef - Served Midwest-style, and the meat was on point. Tender and flavorful. Bottom line: I really enjoyed this place. It's not trying to be like everyone else--and that's exactly why it works. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd absolutely return.
