As you can see in my photo the syrup already started melting as I took 5 steps back and sat down, real sugary flavor syrup hugs the ice. I like the fact they allow you 3 flavors per cone and the shaved ice was smooth, thats the idea of a REAL sno cone. I had a flashback; back in my alcohol days babeee I would have slurped the syrup down, pulled out my flask and spiced that sno cone up! Ya heard me?! Roflmao! I would like to commend the fact they offer sugar free options, extra syrup at only .25 cents and WHERE are the NACHOS? I want NACHOS w/xtra peppers :(((( This visit I got, Tiger Blood, Green Apple (see the green has faded) and Wedding Cake, again I want syrup that will put me in a diabetic coma and make me feel 5 years old again with a colored tongue:). Just moved to Rosenberg been here a few times never had a complaint till today. It was 1:30 I got one of the rudest girls yet . Then when I asked to buy a little side of chili powder she was charging me 2.00. Like I said been here a few times and never have been charged 2.00 for that. This is my favorite place to go to when i'm craving something sweet or savory!! I've been going for years and the staff is always so nice and caring. They have many different food options and lots of flavors for snow-cones!! The ice is so soft it just melts in your mouth. And the flavors aren't too overwhelming but perfectly there. The owner Sandy is the sweetest lady i've ever met and she really cares about her customers and her business. She treats everyone like family. They even have water for pets and pup cups!! This doesn't count toward my Houston review points, but upon visiting some friends they suggested going to Taco Bob's for Sno Balls. Taco Bob's however was randomly closed. Their loss because we came across this precious gem! Sandy's is amazing, They have so many flavorings for their snow cones. I love they mix and match the flavors to your taste. Very generous in their syrup to ice ratio! Next time i'm south of Houston I will definitely be giving them my business. read more

I've been coming here since Sandy was the one making the snow cones. Sandy's has my favorite shaved ice consistency but the work quality of the employees is declining. I was 2nd in line and it took 12 minutes for the second employee to come to the window and 2 minutes to make my snow cone. The last few times I've been there they have also been stingy with the syrup and cream. This recent visit I even gotten a big white center of flavorless ice. read more

Sandy's is an unassuming shack with an impressive array of options. From Tiger's Blood to Cherimoya, this place has all your New Orleans-style sno cone amazingness. I've been here a number of times now and if you had me do a blind taste-test between this place and Mam's, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The secret is in the ice. Both places have the powdery ice that I love. So what do you get? I'm a one-flavor kinda guy, and so is my wife. When we order a syrup, we stick to it. Our most recent foray saw us ordering watermelon with a scoop of ice-cream (the scoop of ice-cream is essential and is only $.50 extra). The flavor of the syrup, the texture of the ice, mixed with the texture and flavor of the ice cream created a cup of soupy goodness that cannot quite be described in its happy-inducing goodness. A few quick fun facts: 1. You can get fried pickles put in your shaved ice. Don't ask me, I'm not from around here. 2. You can get a spray of sour put in your sno cone for $.50. Could be good? 3. You can order some food items, such as chili dogs, but I wouldn't risk it. It was such a hot day that the family decided to go get snow cones. My husband and kids frequent this spot. However, this was my first time trying it. There is outside seating and fans that spray misty water. The establishment is very colorful and very easy to spot. I was disappointed that they didn't have a selection of more clear flavors. Because I didn't want pina colada, I tried the cake batter flavor. The flavor was okay, but there wasn't enough added to the snow cone. Service was fast and friendly too. read more

I absolutely love sandys snowcones, but it's so sad having my mom come back and be mad about the service she received. The food is great, but the quality of the employees has not been great. While my mom was waiting for her snowcones it took about 15 minutes all because the employee that was making them was too busy talking and focused on another girl inside the stand. Apart from the time my mom had to wait when she received the snowcones they were dripping everywhere. My mom came back home and had to clean the whole car mat because it dropped everywhere. It's disappointing going to a stand and not receiving the proper service, because from what it seems the girl did not care. I will continue to visit sandys snowcones because I love the food! But I would very much appreciate it if the quality of employees was better. read more
