Overhyped and overpriced for what you get. I really wanted to like Medium Rare, but my first visit for brunch was incredibly disappointing. For a place known for "bottomless" drinks, be warned: it's mostly juice. If you want just champagne, they tack on an extra $11, which feels like a bait-and-switch. The biggest letdown is the value. You pay dinner prices for brunch, but you don't even get the "famous" steak refills that make the dinner service worth it. The service was mediocre at best, and the atmosphere was a miss. The music was way too loud for a casual brunch vibe. Overall, everything was just "fine," but for the price, "fine" isn't good enough. I won't be back.
First time trying Medium Rare's prix fixe $35 brunch menu. Would advise you to make reservations on the weekends, they were not taking any walk-in's when I came around 2pm. Even the owner was helping cleaning tables and taking orders. They had a few tables open but appeared to be very short staffed. Also AC inside wasn't apparently working. They had the fans going but it was still very warm inside. Bottomless mimosas, bloody mary's and screw drivers come with it. Which is a plus! The drinks were good. You're able to pick from 5 entree choices which includes an appetizer. I decided to do the steak and eggs which also came with french fries. The meal itself was good but the items came out cold unfortunately. Our server was very nice but it took her a while to come back to the table. I'm not sure if I would be back.
I have eaten at Medium Rare when I worked in DC, and enjoyed it. So when I learned my home town of Dallas was getting a restaurant, I was pretty happy about it. All you can eat steak and frites, sounds great, right? I received the same experience and quality at this restaurant as I did in DC, and that makes me happy! We came later in the evening so it wasn't crowded, and that was nice. Our waitress was very good, and kept our drinks filled the whole time, and more steak and frites came out right on time, just as we finished our last bites from our first course. The only complaint I have, and it might seem silly to some, but the music was SO loud and I felt like I was at a club. Now, I don't expect classical music, or even easy listening music. But the volume could have have been lowered just a hit so we didn't strain our voices trying to have a conversation.
My wife and I visited here for dinner, we had reservations and were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress Liss was really friendly and very eager to assist us and explain the menu. It took us over an hour to receive our meals, but Luz kept us informed ans kept apologizing for the kitchen. Once we receive our food it was cooked to perfection and was very good. The steak was very tender and we loved the crispy fries. The second serving was much much faster and very good also. The manager Brian was allowed very helpful when our waitress was busy. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

The salad was good too. The fries on the steak frites were good and I liked the gravy sauce too. I ordered medium rare and it definitely looked medium rare but it was actually kind of chewy and tough. Despite the way it looks, the meat quality isn't that good. BUT for the price and the fact that you get two plates of the steak frites, it's not a bad deal. Service was ok. I really wish I could rate this place higher, because our server and the manager were kind. However, I felt the food was similar to what you'd expect at a diner. For $31.95, you get 2 servings of steak and frites. We ordered the key lime pie, based on the server's recommendation. She said it was made in-house daily. Unfortunately the pie was just too tart.
First time here... did not know what to expect. Greeted and had the experience explained and then a walk through of the menu. Knowledgeable server that took into consideration a health concern. Chose the salad with Dijon - which was amazing. The steak and eggs with the sauce- so good. The Benedict - with the mushroom was great. French toast looked great and was super rich. The sausage was okay - not bad, just not my fave. Great for a prix fixe option with delicious food and amazing service.
The food was so good! The steak sauce is amazing! Originally I had got it on the side but by the end of my meal I had dumped it over the whole plate. The host was very attentive and kept coming to the table to check if we needed anything else. The place is set up very beautiful. I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in Dallas.

Mimosa: 10/10 perfect balance and appreciate that you can also do cranberry. That might've been my fav over the orange juice. Fruit salad: 7/10 nothing fancy but the fruit is cut fresh - so they say and comes in a cute glass. Steak frites: 7/10 the fries weren't my fave, they were shoestring ish, but they were okay. The eggs are premade so can't get them your way. Steak was cooked to my liking. Overall, I'd recommend and next time I'm going to try the French toast because it looked amazing!
Our server Olivia was kind, and there was plenty of space inside and outside so no reservation is needed even on the weekend. However, the steak was not tasty at all.

The vibe in here was great, they had good music playing and i saw a lot of conversing between tables which was nice. I will definitely be back here again soon!
Medium rare made me feel like I was in Paris @ Relais de l'Entrecôte except the staff was much friendlier lol! Our server was Miguel and he was so attentive. Steak & Frites was spectacular. I made reservations for a Thursday night to catch up with a friend. If there was one thing I'd change, I'd suggest a different playlist. I felt the music playing didn't really match the vibe of the restaurant. Regardless, I am definitely going back. I have some family and friends coming in from out of town and this is where we'll be going! I anticipate my second visit to be just as delicious as the first!
A little disappointed in the food. The idea of having a set menu is nice since you don't need to decide on anything but the steak is really just mediocre.

Celebrated our anniversary here about two months ago. They stick to one simple concept: steak and fries. We had a reservation, showed up 30 minutes early, and they seated us immediately. The server was super polite and walked us through the menu options since it was our first visit. The steak was excellent. My only slight downside was the side of grilled mushrooms (we didn't care for them, nor did my father-in-law when I brought them home), but that's just personal preference. This place was recommended to me, and I'd definitely recommend it as well One last detail about the vibe: it was packed with a decent crowd, but the noise level was reasonable. The coolest part was the restroom audio--a soft male voice reading sentences in English followed by French. I thought it was so cool. The food was so good! The steak sauce is amazing! Originally I had got it on the side but by the end of my meal I had dumped it over the whole plate. We went to the Saturday brunch at Medium Rare and had a great time. The menu is pretty simple with only a couple of options for a fixed price. The atmosphere inside was fun and great for a brunch. It wasn't too crowded either which was surprising but nice. Service was overall friendly but did write down one of our orders wrong. The bread that came with the meal was well made and the salad was also solid. The steak frites that they are known for were delicious. They were cooked to a great point of not being too chewy/tough. The sauce was great and the fries were crisped well. Overall, I definitely would come back here and enjoyed our experience especially for the cost. read more
Tried this place because of all the social media hype that went around and was left quite disappointed with our experience. Ambience wise, the restaurant was very brightly lit. They had a lot of tables and I did not like how close all the tables were to each other. It was pretty empty when we went on a monday night but i certainly wouldnt have enjoyed sitting so close to another table at a place that's supposed to be a nicer restaurant. Our server was really sweet! The service was also very prompt. Honestly the reason why I'm giving this place a 3 instead of a 2. Now, on to the food. We really enjoyed the butter and bread that they gave to start. The salad had this tartness from what tasted like pickle juice which I did not like. The steak and fries themselves were nothing special. The sauce that they had definitely saved the dish. Our second serving of meat came out a bit cold. read more

Truly a 4.5 but Yelp doesn't allow half stars. Tried this place with a friend today and we were happily surprised it was still brunch as 1:30pm. For $35 you get bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary's and screwdrivers (for 2 hrs), warm bread, choice of appetizer and main course. Good value for your money and we enjoyed all of it. Cute outdoor area as well for when the weather is nice. Service was outstanding as Olympia was attentive and didn't let our glasses become empty. In the restroom they had duo-lingual playing English/French phrases and with your check you receive piece of Bazooka gum for each person - cute touches. Definitely will go back. read more
Such a great deal!!! We went for brunch and enjoyed ourselves very much here. They have bottomless drinks, making it the perfect plan for a Sunday with your family or friends. The music is very modern and kind of party-ish. I would suggest changing the playlist to something more classic that fits the ambiance better. I unfortunately had an issue with the steak, hence the 4-star review. I was the only one from my group who ordered a medium steak; everyone else ordered medium well or well done. Mine was the brownest of them all. If the restaurant only has steak on the menu, I expect it to be cooked perfectly, and unfortunately, it wasn't. It could have been a mistake, so I didn't make a big deal out of it. I pointed it out to the waitress to see if there was a mix-up, and they returned it and gave me a new steak from the kitchen without hesitation. I appreciate the good hospitality and thank our waitress for her patience; she was amazing. My mimosa glass was never empty. A set menu & price with rounds of steak is a steal! The bread to begin with was a little hard but it was still doughy and delicious with the butter. The salad was also good, I would say it is a light portion so it doesn't fill you up fast with bread before. The steak cooked to how you like paired well with the secret sauce though you might have to ask for more sauce on the side. Nothing fancy. The fries were crunchy. The service was great, they weren't busy on a Wednesday night so they were very quick. Great music was playing and a good spot for dinner. Food: 1/5 So incredibly mid, you can get a way better meal for that price else wear. You would think if a restaurant only served one entree, they'd make sure to do it well. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came out more so well done. The meat was chewy, and one of my bites was so chewy I literally had to spit it out on a napkin because my mouth was so tired from all the chewing. I will say the bread and butter was the best part of the meal, but it is hard to mess that up. Fries were good, and the sauce that came with the meal was mid. Ended up spending around $55 with tip for one person, and you should just go to any other restaurant nearby to spend your money. But maybe I just came on an off day. Service: 3/5 Our waitress was kind. There was a different lady who brought out the food that had a stank look on her face when I told her the plate she was about to put on my friend's side was actually mines (I got the sauce on the side, so I knew it was my plate). No manager came by to check up on us. Atmosphere: Interior not ugly, but also nothing to rave home about or would make you want to take pictures in. But I think the restaurant is geared more towards between a nice and a casual place. Overall, I wouldn't come back as I felt like I just wasted my money here. But like I said, I might've just came on an off day. They also weirdly give you this strange piece of gum with your bill. At first, I thought it was a nice piece of chocolate. Wow! I came in for dinner on a Saturday night and was wildly impressed. While I had a reservation, it seems as though one wasn't needed. Service was great. I had the berry sangria to drink and my bf had the hibiscus margarita, both were delicious! Steak frites were outstanding and plenty enough food with the 2 servings. I had my steak cooked medium rare. For dessert, we shared the sundae, which was the highlight of my meal. Portion was super big and fun item to order! I will definitely be back. You definitely get a bang for your buck here, and I'm glad I know have a designated steak frites place here in Dallas. Note: definitely not a formal steakhouse vibe here, moreso nice-casual. read more

Went to Medium Rare for a Sunday brunch double date, and it was such a great choice. We sat outside on the patio, which had the perfect mix of fresh air and a laid-back but lively atmosphere--ideal for a relaxing brunch. Bonus: the patio is pup-friendly! We were even joined by the sweetest pup at the next table, which made the experience even better. What I loved most was the pre-fixe menu--straight to the point, no overthinking, just great food and a seamless experience. The steak was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender, and that signature sauce? Absolutely next level. The fries were crisp and golden, and the portions were just right. Service was on point too--our server was super sweet and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Another plus? It's in a great location and has an onsite parking lot, so no stressing about finding a spot. If you're looking for a solid brunch spot with a simple yet delicious menu, good vibes, a pup-friendly patio, and easy parking, Medium Rare is a must-try. Beautiful night out on the outdoor patio on a Wednesday night at 7:45 pm. No wait. Great service. Pretty lights and fans for comfort. Prix fix menu of warm artisan bread, fresh salted butter, salad with fresh peppercorn and light mustard vinaigrette and medium rare thin sliced steak with hot frites. Friendly service with extra sauce and a California pinot noir bottle. Surprise! Second round. Save room for the Delicious many layered carrot cake. For $25 steak in this economy is a steal! The steak itself was ok. This is the same concept as Le Relais de l'Entrecôte Marbeuf in Paris. You get a house salad and bread for starters, then steak and Frits! I did order a tea as well, they didn't charge me so I guess a drink comes with it? Service was great! Very attentive read more
I am a fan...I loved this place! Great atmosphere, great service, and great food! It is hard to believe that steak this good is all you can eat! We even shared a dessert and while the Sundae was good, I want to try the Apple Pie on my next visit! read more

I was invited to brunch and they didn't miss with the steak and eggs!!! And you get to choose a fruit parfait, fruit or salad. The steak is perfectly cooked and that gravy they put on it. Tips the scale of perfection. Also shout out to Ray and Eduardo who took care of me also whoever made that espresso. The chocolate cake and sundae are to die for and if you like Merlot they got u !!! It hard to find Merlot at a restaurant now a days. read more

Is it really all you can eat?
Definitely NO. When you walk in, they tell you that you can only have one refill. Please be aware 2 plates is equal to one plate everywhere else, so you are basically getting one portion
