If you're a matcha lover, this spot has everything matcha. I like that you can customize the matcha level depending on how strong you want it. My favorite here is definitely the soft serve, good and perfectly balanced. I also tried the Okabe Fog, but it wasn't for me. There were too many flavors going on, and I could barely taste the matcha. I'd personally pass on that one (1/5).

    Lotsa matcha...happy matcha people

I'm just so thrilled they're in this neighborhood. And I've been to their soft opening and also came to the Grand Opening. So yah, welcome Meccha and yay matcha! So, if you love matcha soft serve, they have it, and it's yum. They also have "guest" flavors like Ube, Hojicha...that kind of stuff that they announce on Insta. They have multiple levels of Matcha depending on how strong you like it, and it's customizable to your taste. They have floats for more indulgence. I tried their almond matcha croissant..and I recommend. I also tried their small little green matcha cookies...okay, yum as well. They also have espresso matcha...so yah, options are here to be had. Also, they have cute merch if you're interested in that. The service is friendly. It's not a huge space, but the set-up is just right for work/study if it's not crowded. Lovely, lovely. I wish them all the success.

This is their soft opening so their menu is 20% off for now and their hours are M-Sunday from 10 am - 8 am. They are in the corner of a small shopping area next to a Spectrum Store and Einstein Bagels. I know this place is known for their Matcha, but I was interested in Hojicha, so I got their Hojicha Strawberry Latte with oat milk ($7.50). The Hojicha tasted smooth, a bit chocolatey, pretty good. But I couldn't really taste the strawberry. Anyways, if you love Matcha ice cream, this is the spot to try it. If I didn't have to go back to work I'd have gotten one and sat inside to eat it. I'll be back if I want a good Matcha fix!

Large menu of hot and iced matcha drinks, some espresso options, and soft serve. They have a rotating soft serve flavor throughout the month. I tried the okabe latte, croissant, and a matcha cookie. There is only one size for drinks, looks like about 12 oz. The matcha cookie was very good. Croissant was decent and a good value at $3. The Okabe latte was quite sweet and had a good amount of sweet foam on top. I wish there were some cozy seating options, everything is hard wood. They do have free Wi-Fi and outlets.

Okay if you love matcha, this is your place! I loved that they had soooo many different options for your drink- flavors, milk, strength, etc. I ordered the double matcha no sweetness and my friend ordered the banana matcha and we LOVED our drinks. They also have soft serve and matcha cookies that are delicious. Not a ton of seating inside but I doubt it gets that busy where you can't find a seat.

I was so excited to finally have a Meccha Matcha in Long Beach!! I got the White Chocolate Matcha Latte Level 2, the Matcha Latte Level 2, and the House Latte. The White Chocolate Matcha Latte is my absolute favorite, it's sweet and the level 2 matcha made it the perfect amount of bitter. I got mine with oat milk because I feel like it compliments the matcha latte the best. The regular Matcha Latte Level 2 is amazing! There's no additional sweetness like if you were to add cold foam or cream, but it still has the perfect amount of bitterness and sweetness alone. I also ordered this one with oat milk. The House Latte tasted great. It tasted like your basic latte with whole milk, it's not super different than any other latte. The cafe is so cute. It's very bright, well decorated, music playing, and there's tons of outlets. There's WiFi, and there's the WiFi name and password near the register. The tables can become easily wobbly so beware if you're studying. There's no cushioning on the booth seats or the chair seats so I wouldn't consider it a study spot for me, but with the WiFi and the outlets, it would be a great study spot for others. The employees are kind and helpful! They were all great! I can't wait to come back here again! I love this place as a place I could hang out with friends, catch up, or get a good Matcha Latte. I already saw people beginning to study here, and I think this is going to be a great place for others to study.

A legit matcha place in Los Altos part of LB. None of that fake matcha stuff. Ceremonial level matcha served here. I like this location wayyy better because super close to me and more spacious, better ventilated and better parking than their Artesia locations. Drinks are pricy but the quality is on point.

Not only does Meccha Matcha specialize in matcha, but the soft serves are amazing. I ordered the sakura soft serve, a matcha tea and several matcha chocolate chip cookies. The soft serve was fragrant and delicious and the matcha chocolate chip cookies were top tier. The matcha tea was a little light in flavor but still refreshing. The interior is lovely and spacious. I can see myself coming here for a study sesh after school.

Great matcha (I got level 2) and great service! Very clean inside and great atmosphere. I highly recommend for any matcha fanatics, and it's not too sweet. My uncle and I are very particular about matcha (especially having been to Japan) and we love the drinks and ice cream.

Tried out a new matcha spot today with the family and it definitely delivered. The matcha was super smooth, high quality, and had a nice balance.. not too bitter, or sweet. The place was clean and relaxing, with a nice simple aesthetic that makes you want to hang out for a bit instead of just grabbing and going. Staff was friendly and I believe management or owners also greeted us in the front. The staff took the time to explain different options, which I appreciated. Parfait which I ordered was fire!

Yay, finally a decent matcha spot in this part of town! I'm always happy to try out and support a local business! The inside is spacious, designed well, and clean. Plenty of outlets and seating to get some work done, especially if you're a local student. My strawberry oat milk matcha was excellent. I like the matcha level customization as you can ease into the matcha taste if you're unfamiliar with it. I prefer level 1 or 2 depending on the drink. My drink came out very quickly and I like the "pebble" style of ice as opposed to the huge chunky ice. (Noting this since I know some people are picky about their ice!) Everyone was friendly and they're currently running a 20% off deal during certain hours of their soft opening. Honestly the only con is that the parking lot is kind of annoying, but you can always park in the huge Target lot and walk over.

Left is banana pudding right is tier 2 with cold foam

This review is for the matcha lattes Decided to try this place since it's close by and soft opening right now. They have different tiered matchas (caffeine mg) and i have to say for the price you can get better matcha elsewhere. I tried one of their pre made matchas (banana pudding) which is tier 1 matcha (lowest amount), banana pudding cold foam, and biscoff cookie crumble on top. The cold foam itself is delicious and obviously biscoff cookie crumble will always hit ... but for a place with "matcha" in the name you'd think that the actual matcha itself would be better tasting and stronger in color. My bf tried the tier 2 and to me it's still super milky for the price. This place is decent, I'll come back to try the desserts but if I have time and am craving matcha i will be going elsewhere still

I've been to this location several times, and for the most part, the matcha is really good. My go-to is a strawberry matcha (level 2) with a shot of espresso, and when it's made right, it's . There have been a couple of times where it wasn't great, and unfortunately when I mentioned it, there wasn't much response--no apology or offer to remake the drink. That was a little disappointing. Coaching on customer service would be suggested. That said, I still give this place 4 stars because the drinks are usually on point. If you're a matcha lover, it's definitely worth checking out!
