    Soft serve

The music playlist is always a vibe here. It's always clean and the customer service is top their. Now I haven't been home in a year so to come back to L.A. and the first place outside of El Pollo Loco being Meccha Matcha is always a must. The matcha here is always so good , and even the soft serve is top their. I need Dallas ,Texas to get it together because their Matcha preparation is lacking. Nevertheless I always look forward to coming home and having a Level 3 matcha

Hojicha kinako banana pudding latte 5/5

Bumping up to 5 stars! Just gotta find your best item: for me, it's the spring seasonal hojicha kinako banana pudding latte. It might have made my top 10 drinks of my 3.5 decades of life, heh. The only other drink that compares is a kinako milk ?tea latte at Hamada-ya (in some Mitsuwas), which are not nearby. The cheerful worker seemed genuinely happy to take my order and share this amazing drink. They said it was well-balanced when I asked if it was super sweet, and I agree. This drink is exactly as expected and named in the best possible way: subtle hojicha, kinako, and creamy banana flavor shine through. And yet, it felt light. Some places use pudding to achieve the banana pudding flavor, but this one had a banana pudding cream/foam top, so it did not feel overly decadent on a hot day. $8.25 plus tax was worth it. I will plan to come back to try some level 2 matcha lattes if I can bear to skip out on this hojicha! Also, there were a couple families and individuals in the shop on a random Thurs midday--do people work?!

Matcha biscoff latte: 9/10 Matcha soft serve level 1: 7/10 (personal preference, did not really like the taste of the matcha and it left an aftertaste) Very pricy, $11 for level 3 matcha latte that was not strong or good. Would not recommend unless you LOVE matcha and ice cream and are willing to pay extra for this novelty food.... The only redeeming point was that the inside decor was nice and tasteful, plus the service was quick.

If you want a place that does matcha amazingly well, go here! Tried the matcha latte level 2 and it was spot on. You actually tasted that delicious tea flavor. There were no matcha clumps which I appreciate and a beautiful green color. The strawberry self serve ice cream was also delicious and not too sweet. This was a level 1. I will definitely be back if in the area but happy Im not too close by because I would be there every day.

ube soft serve and matcha blueberry panna cream latte

Came here around 3:30pm on a Thursday and it was pretty empty. There were a couple people sitting in the shop and one person ahead of me ordering on the kiosk. I have always heard about the hype around Meccha Matcha as they are known from their matcha from Japan. It is a cute and chill spot to hang out at, and the matcha definitely met my expectations! My boyfriend and I got the new seasonal drink which was the matcha latte with a blueberry cream top. It was pricy though and over $8. We also got the special soft serve flavor of the week which was ube. Everything was so good so I can understand it being more expensive. I would come back and try other drinks and the parfait looks intriguing as well!

Came here initially for the matcha but got hojicha instead, and I have no regrets at all! I love hojicha and I'm usually a little picky when it comes to the flavor, but Meecha was so good! They have a really large menu with many different options to choose from. They remind me a lot of Maiko in Rowland Heights, especially because they serve ice cream here as well. I want to try the matcha here in the future, especially because you can order from different caffeine levels!

Matcha Panda ice cream, Level 3 matcha latte ($7.95), & Matcha Espresso ($6.85). The deep flavor of each item was amazing!

Wow this is the best matcha drinks and ice cream that I've ever had! When a matcha shop has different levels of matcha, you know that they ain't playing around. My wife and I shared the Level 3 Matcha Latte, Matcha Espresso, and Matcha Panda ice cream. The matcha flavor in each is so strong and earthy that you can tell it is very high quality. Definitely preferred the level 3 latte over the espresso. I love ice cream, so when I saw Matcha with oreos in it, it was a done deal. The deep matcha flavor with the crunchy oreos was amazing! Next time I'm visiting the area, I'll have to ask for a double scoop in a cone because it's that good. Overall, very impressed with the variety in their menu and they've demonstrated how passionate they are through their perfect execution. Incredibly impressed and craving for more!

A place for matcha drinks and soft serve. Choose from levels one to three for intensity and caffeine level of matcha. Since it was our first time and they did not offer samples we chose level two for iced matcha unsweetened tea and soft serve. The soft serve can't taste much matcha flavor and still too sweet. The matcha tea was better. I still prefer the matcha place inside the Mitsuwa marketplace at Cypress for a more authentic matcha taste.

The meccha 8 with the matcha latte level 2
    Benedict A.

Came here as my wife is a huge matcha fan. Its nice to see jo one here when we first arrived. Guy working the counter is super nice. Talked about the different food items. What they offer here. A little bit about the menu. They have different levels of matcha. She started at level 2. I would've done level 3 probably. But she got the matcha level 2 latte (which costs different then the level 1 or the level 3). And I got their meccha 8 parfait. Order comes out very quickly. The green is a very dark green. The colors are just amazing. The latte tasted good. We'll balanced. Very refreshing. The meccha 8 was a site to behold. Looks so pretty eith all the colors. It has a little bit of everything. Some soft serve. Some mochi balls. A matcha brownie. Red beans. Matcha jelly. It was everything matcha. It was really good. Not overly sweet or bitter. So many textures. They habe a little kiosk you can order at. Typical Japanese system to cut down on human interaction!! But its a really good matcha place. I enjoyed it. And I'll definitely be back soon!

Dropped by here w/ the Funky Bunch for some delious ice cream after a fun walk through the pumpkin patch. The service and ambiance were nice and super quick, making everything swift and easy. They offer 3 levels of matcha soft serve, with the higher levels having a stronger flavor--I kept mine simple in a cone. I went with level 2--pretty good. I'd rate it a solid 4 out of 5. My fam would prob give it a 7 out of 10. I'd definitely want to come back and try the banana matcha drink next time. Btw, bathroom available :)

Went for some after dinner dessert. Ended up getting a few cups of their flavor of the week - Black Sesame this time around. Very rich flavor, but the ice cream wasn't heavy. Always a good time!

This is one of my daughter's favorite places for matcha teas. They use high quality Matcha that you can tell from the taste. She ordered her usual matcha latte with oak milk and I got the hojicha with oat milk. Both drinks were really yummy! The service was fast and efficient. It wasn't a very pretty shop, but at least it drinks were delicious. There were a few tables and chairs, but the place was rather empty. It's one of those places where I would visit for a grab and go, but I wouldn't want to sit here to enjoy my drink.

Low service rating because most of the staff didn't want to be there. They were just waiting until closing time so they could head home. My family and I came on 05/10/26 around 8:10pm after finishing our mother's day meal. I ordered matcha and salty caramel, matcha was highlight while the caramel flavor could have been saltier. - POOR EXPERIENCE - First incident: Matcha was finished quickly, I immediately went to the counter to pick after my number was called. I asked the team member that handed me my order for 3 extra spoons because my family was gonna share. Instead of helping me further, he turns and asks his coworker that was busy making someone else's order to give me the spoons and leaves to go hang out with the other staff in the back room. Second incident: My family and I are halfway done eating the matcha order. We're still waiting for the salty caramel flavor and I notice 1 order left unattended at the area they add the toppings. There isn't a single person standing behind the counter. I wait at the pickup area for about 5mins before someone finally walks out from the back room. I ask them if that order by the topping station is mine, they say yes and proceed to add the toppings.... Tried for the one time but won't be coming back when I eat in the area again.

Update: They're no longer affiliated with Fivestars!…read more I've since gone two additional times to try their waffle bites. My last trip was kind of spontaneous because I suddenly got a Fivestars reward that day for these waffle bites. However, when I arrived, I was looking for the Fivestars tablet only to be met by a Clover tablet instead. It felt like I went through a time warp because the employee working behind the register didn't seem to have any idea what I was trying to say regarding Fivestars, though he did notice a little trifold card on the front counter mentioning Fivestars. I asked if he could get his manager so I could explain, and even show, him my Fivestars reward. The reward said "already accepted", which he almost thought meant I had redeemed it already, but if that were the case, then it would have said "already redeemed". Given that they've now done away with Fivestars, I'm not too surprised he may have gotten the words "accepted" confused with "redeemed", but luckily, he was happy enough to honor it for me. The employee who assisted me was very helpful, though he did ask me to repeat the topping and the drizzle that I wanted. I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor ice cream with Fruity Pebbles toppings and a Strawberry drizzle on top. Since I had already tried the cookie flavors before, I figured I'd try the fruity flavors this time around. He said he needed about 5 minutes to prepare my waffle bites, which were presented a little different than last time. Last time, I got the Cookie Butter flavor with *Cookie* Crisp and Peanut *Butter* (see what I did there?), and it came in a small plastic takeout container. This one came in a large plastic cup, and I'm thinking the logistics may have changed a ton between my last two visits. I did appreciate how the employee asked if I wanted the waffles on top of or beneath the ice cream before making the waffle bites; I chose on top. He also asked if I'd like powdered sugar on top, to which I agreed. Unfortunately, neither of the waffle bites I got from my last two visits impressed me that much. As a matter of fact, the only thing that impressed me was the strawberry drizzle. Everything else fell kind of flat. While generous in size for the $8 price tag, the Cookie Butter and the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream didn't really taste like these flavors at all! For whatever reason, the peanut butter didn't add much flavor, but the strawberry drizzle added a lot! How even?! In short, the waffle bites weren't that much of an upgrade from the ice cream scoop that I had on my first visit. I'm willing to say "too much good was no good" here. The waffles themselves were good, but they can only do so much when a flavored ice cream doesn't even taste like that flavor. It's worth noting that on my penultimate visit, when I got the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, I saw two employees behind the front counter who were ready to take my order. I asked them to explain what the waffle bites were, but it took them a couple of tries to actually understand what I was asking. From what I gathered, the waffle bites were similar to the ice cream scoop I had on my first visit, but with the addition of a warm waffle to supplement the ice cream. However, the step-by-step process remains the same. I was initially told it would take 6 minutes to prepare the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, but it actually took 15! It seemed like one was training the other or they were trying to gather the ingredients and/or the steps needed to create the waffle bites. After about 10 minutes, I was told by one of the employees they had to make a new batch of waffles because the first batch had burnt. The music was getting pretty loud, so it was hard to hear him after that, but I didn't want to hold up the kitchen prep process any longer. I just said "Alright, sure" so he could continue preparing my order. I do appreciate how he let me know of this so that I'd know the reason for the extended wait, but I wish they weren't so ill-prepared during my visit. So overall, still 3 stars overall. I appreciate the prior partnership with Fivestars, but these missed opportunities have led me to believe that Cravings is just not for me. I doubt I'll try anything else on their ice cream menu, and considering that there are only a few parking spots in their lot, it will take a lot to get me to try their hot chicken. And speaking of lack of parking, I also want to mention that on my second visit, I saw two open parking stalls right in front of Cravings, one on either side of a car. That car had its driver's side wide open so that I couldn't park there. I had to park on the passenger side of that car, which he left much less room for. Perhaps a microcosm of the clientele in this part of town? Everybody deserves a second chance, right? Unfortunately, not everybody can make the most of them, and this is just one example of such. Thanks for the sweet treats Cravings, but I'll get my next one somewhere else.
