Service was beyond disappointing. We came in with a party of 15 and initially had three employees helping us in the small shop. One of the servers suddenly stopped serving our group midway through and moved on to the next party, leaving the rest of us waiting much longer to be helped. It also felt like we were being rushed through the process, with most of us not even being given the opportunity to sample flavors. When I politely asked the employee to please finish helping our party first, she visibly pouted, barely put any ice cream on the sample spoon I requested, and then abruptly walked away saying to her coworker, "I just can't." No explanation, no apology -- just rude and dismissive behavior. Unfortunately, the employee who replaced her was equally cold and curt. I grew up in a family business, and while I don't believe the customer is always right, I do believe customers deserve basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect. Going above and beyond may not always happen, but simple manners and decent service should still be the standard. Very disappointing customer experience overall. The staff was really nice! They let us try the flavors and my favorite was the Ube fudge which is weird cuz I don't like fudge but it balanced well. The only bummer part was the patio was not opend and the guy kept squirtting us with the water hose we were just sitting on the curb. He didn't ask us to leave he just kinda rudely said you cant be here patio is closed. It was kinda rude but he always was not inside so he was not part of one of the nice people. This was my very first time here a d would have to say it was a so so experience, just cuz it felt like he was purposely hosing towards us to get us to go away. With the first week of school coming I took my child and a friend after a playdate. The wait was short but the service was colder than the ice cream. I always give the younger generation a pass because this may be their first job. This time was a little different, the young lady had a blank stare, we had a full stare down, she did not crack a smile or ask any questions (how can I help you? would you like help choosing a flavor? we offer samples, would you like one?, do you need a little more time?") there is endless options :) As we were all first timers, I said something to initiate the flavor debate and a young man that heard me, chimed in and started giving us his recommendations. He was so sweet and funny. We actually took his word and went with it. We then over heard the person ahead of us discussing how they do not accept cash, figuring out what payment method they will use. I wanted myself to use cash as I had a wallet filled with money from a cash job. This also added to the whole experience as negative. After I paid it was just like, next! There is something special about going to get ice cream with your friend when you are a kid. My parents would make it a fun even if it was the local Thrifty's ice cream. That may be skewing my expectations. We actually knew the people at the ice cream corner and would get greeted. I understand how much times have changed but for the cost of ice cream (everything) nowadays, every dollar spent has to feel good and worth it all around considering the choices in Cerritos. It was vanilla based with sprinkles, pound cake, and fruit (jam?). It was yummy and reminded me of something the BT21 characters would eat. The Strawberry Milk flavor is definitely something the BTS guys would be eating! My favorite go to flavor at any location is the Saigon Coffee. It's soooo good! The service at the Cerritos location was good. I'm not sure if they had an insane amount of BTS Army come through, but if they did, they still have great service! Purple hearts to the staff. After ordering our ice cream, I realized the portion was a bit too much for me alone, so I reached for one of the small cups stacked on the bar to share with my son.
