That might be the hotel's responsibility, I'm not sure. Fortunately, the food was absolutely delicious. My wife had venison appetizer (she says the best she's ever had) and I had the salmon. For mains, my wife had the fish and I had chicken. Obviously, they serve great food but some other things need work.

Everyone was friendly and attentive from start to finish. Menu was impressive. I like going to a restaurant where it's hard to choose what to order. The menu is pretty big for dinner and I was definitely stuck between a few items which is a good problem to have. Cocktails were primarily spritz's but at least they had that. I just opted for my classic Bulmers and I was happy. For my dinner I had the prawn tacos which were delicious. This isn't authentic Mexican food or anything like that but they still made a tasty taco. The ingredients were super fresh and delicious. The prawns were huge and had a great seasoning. My friends all got the fried cheese tacos and those were the real star of the night. The tacos come with chips but I opted to substitute for their stir fried teriyaki veggies. Happy I got this and if you need a break from fries this was a good side. Ended with a brownie with ice cream. The brownie was more like a brownie cake than a traditional brownie in my opinion but it's okay, it was still super tasty and the chocolate sauce was marvelous. The atmosphere here was great and it was definitely a nice spot to come to dinner with the girls. All in all this place delivered in every category, 5 stars for food, service, atmosphere, and menu for sure. I would highly recommend coming here if you are staying in this part of town.

They had multiple affogato options, which was a fun twist for after dinner sweetness. Bread pudding with a side of port was a great ending to a great meal. The service was friendly and attentive. We never felt rushed, and they helped us understand their menu. By the time we left it was packed, we felt the luck of the Irish came through on an impromptu dinner in downtown Dublin.

The mixed veg was a nice addition. As the veg was hot it made the meal more hearty than your usual salad. For breakfast I was feeling hungover so decided to go for their 'traditional' breakfast rather than one of the healthy protein filled options on the menu. The breakfast comes with homemade brown bread or toast and tea/coffee. The highlight was the tasty sausages! Friendly staff and a bright light filled room makes the Anvil a good choice if you are in the area.
