I stopped here on the way home from Apple hill for a quick dinner. We went inside for the restrooms and to order but left and went to the drive thru because the employees don't take your orders anymore you must use kiosks and they were very laggy and hard to use. Wishing we could do negative stars, awful location has gone down hill in the last few years! Food always super inconsistent, taste like food been sitting there all rubbery. Narrow driveway and only one curbside spot. No real direction on how to find the drive-through. Not much shade. Only seven minutes from placing my mobile order to getting it at the curbside spot. Not bad during lunch rush. The fries were a little pale, but seemed like they were cooked. OK and tasted fine. The soft drink was mostly carbonation not very much syrup. Also, the system for ordering coffee, with the ability to choose a specific # of sugar and cream (mine is 4 creams, 9 sugar) makes it the same every time. Great friendly service, good prices. Went to order food for a few coworkers. Went inside to order as I'm standing at the counter the girl put up a knocked over sign .. saying order at Kiosk only. Seriously I can't order with you.. no. I would have personally left & gone somewhere else, but I was ordering for others .. cash in hand. Stopped in at the McDonald's in Truckee right off the freeway during a hoppin weekend lunchtime and boy it was busy. The parking lot was packed and there was trash on the ground and spills and messes on the sidewalks and concrete. The kiosks take your order here and then they call your number. Seating was plentiful but nearly filled. The bathroom was a mess though and no paper towels. The sign reminds you to turn off the water manually. Service is pretty fast here despite the crowds. They are starting the day with a lot of missing items no bottled water & no lemonade. The drink machine was out of ice on one side. Lots of people trying to get their beverages. The cheeseburgers/hamburgers were good but the fries were underdone. Not uncooked but not their usual crispy. The food is hot which is a welcome thing at McDonalds. They have one curbside/ delivery parking spot and two handicapped spots. Ask for fries well done, extra napkins and ketchup. ( we were given none ) If you want something sweet there is a fruit vendor cart across the street. All in all it is an ok fast food spot. read more

Terrible. Usually you can count on McDonald's to be edible, but not this one. I ordered a spicy, crispy chicken sandwich in the drive thru. It must have been hours old. It was so dry, I could barely swallow it. Just awful! I thought I could at least eat the fries. Also, old, dry and cold. $12.00 down the drain. Fed the chicken to my dogs and through the rest straight into the garbage. Never again. read more

So the inside was closed but we used the drive thru today and it was pretty clean outside and we are glad we did. Our order was taken promptly and with great service. But the highlight of our day was the window server Joel. This is the second time i see Joel this week and he had a great genuine smile, with great and fast service, and my coffee and food was fresh hot and delicious both timed and he was happy to get me an extra sugar packet. I am new to the area and tried to come in to have lunch one day around 2 o'clock. Nobody was working the front. They just had the kiosks open, which is fine given that they are busy and cleaning during that time I'm a restaurant person so I understand. However, I only had cash which presents an issue with the kiosk. Someone did come over and offered to take my order at the front desk. Great. I got the food. They called my name twice I went and got the food the first time and my burger was deplorable. That's all I can say I've eaten McDonald's my whole life and I am 55 years old and that was the worst burger I've ever had from McDonald's. I got fries and a drink. Fries were Cold. Upon being at home and wanting to order some food again being new to the area and not knowing much and working a lot of hours I ordered McDonald's to be delivered. I could not use my app at certain offers with this particular McDonald's, which was frustrating. I finally ended up only ordering a cheeseburger plain and a small fry. It took over an hour, and then some for the order to even be "on its way" And in my head, I knew that it would be horrible and cold by the time it got here, even though I was giving them a second chance to redeem themselves. I canceled the order because after an hour and 15 minutes I no longer wanted it. It had been in the person's car for at least 45 minutes. I never got reimbursed. They took the points off of my app and I am hideously disappointed I will not be back do better. read more

After they gave us our bag of food, 4 out of 9 items were missing; they also told us that our order was done in the drive thru. This happened to us before so we parked on the parking lot to check our food, and again the items were missing. Passing through on 4/26 at about 11am and stopped to get a coffee and a Mocha Latte. Went through drive through to place order and we were told the machine was down and opted for another cup of coffee instead of Mocha. When we got our drinks the coffee was super cold. I had to walk in for refund and as I was standing there waiting I witnessed employees on their cell phones, drinking soda, and eating food. I know for a fact this is not acceptable in the areas where food is being handled! Who knows is they use proper hand washing requirements after touching cell phones.
