We enjoyed our burgers here. The french fries are perfect. The service is really fast, I even heard a family next to us complimenting how fast the service was. Burger Me is my husband's family's go-to lunch spot when we visit Truckee. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, although on especially busy days you may need to wait for a table. Their burgers are solid, however last time we went I ordered the Big Dippa and was very impressed. The meat on the sandwich was crispy but not overcooked, had the perfect amount of onions and cheese, and came with a good au jus sauce for dipping. I also really enjoy ordering their onion rings and milk shakes. My husband's favorite burger is the Truckee Trainwreck. Walked in, 1 person on the phone taking an order. 2 guys standing at the other end of the counter chatting it up, obviously on the clock. As soon as we walked up to the counter 1 man moved towards the back while the other started texting on his phone. No welcome in, no, someone will be with you in a moment... nothing. Now let's talk about the filthy patio.tables are sticky and covered with food and the patio area smells like a dump. Every table had food under it. Obviously this property is not well cared for. Pee all over the on bathroom, trash strewn about. Smell of pee was thick. Faucket lose, no seat liners. The othe bathroom had what appeared to be bubbles coming out of it and was just as dirty. Better yet both men that couldn't help us eneded up working the register before we left. Employees are lazy and you are very overpriced for such crappy service and filth. Did not disappoint! Stopped here after a day of snowboarding for some quick and yummy grub and we looove a good smash burger. The place was nearly empty and a little cold inside! I ordered their hamburger that comes with a 1/3 lb. beef patty for $9 and then added lettuce, tomato and pickle at no extra charge. For another $4.75. I upgraded to a combo with a fountain drink and onion rings. With tax it totaled $15. The food was delivered in less than 10 minutes. At first glance those onion rings looked beautiful with their dark brown color and were large in size. Taste wise, I liked them less. The batter was hard rather than flaky and I think the batter overpowered the onions (3). Not bad but just average. The burger was equally attractive on a brioche bun and dark green leafy lettuce sticking out on the sides. I added a little ketchup and chowed down. This was a very good tasting burger that I would be happy to order s as gain (4). Finally the counter service was warm and friendly. Casual burger place with outdoor seating. I came here twice during my week in Truckee, as it's in a nice location and has nice outdoor seating. The first time I was here I got a chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, and the second time I got a smash burger with regular fries. The smash burger was very yummy, as were the sweet potato fries. The chicken sandwich was not very good. I do wish they had honey for the sweet potato fries though. Really the restaurant can shine if they just cleaned and unkept the place. It needs deep cleaning, restrooms are dirty, carpet runners are filthy, you get the idea. One wonders if they don't care about restroom cleanliness, how clean is the kitchen? Additionally, repair or replace what needs work or upgrading, like paint, decor and broken floor tile. Love to change it to a 5 star if they just paid attention to these simple issues and always keep it up.... Food, quality, service and value are all wonderful! Perhaps I'm jaded with my expectations for burger joints these days - but I felt this place brought the quality of higher end places like roam or shake shack without their extortionate prices. Fairly extensive offerings including turkey, chicken, elk and buffalo (which are both very rare to find). Very nice portion sizes for the burgers at the price point listed, gluten free bun offered, burgers tasted amazing. We also order the onion rings, sweet potato fries and garlic fries - all good, especially the onion rings. Nice selection of beer offerings too. Space is fairly large with indoor and patio offerings. We only saw paid parking, could be a lot but we didn't see one. The restaurant has a cool vibe, good menu, service friendly. We ordered some burgers, fish Sando, Big Dippa, fries & o-rings...as well as a shake to-go. Every bit of the food was enjoyed. My mom could only take down half of the fish. My daughter and I shared a burger and the Dippa, both really good, but we both found the Dippa to be extra tasty. Highly recommend that! First time to this little burger shop in town. Apparently, it is a popular little gem everyone else already knows about! They were busy but quick to serve food on a weekend afternoon. We stopped in after snowshoeing with an outdoor group. There were so many options to choose from I could not decide!
