The new 50/50 location is fantastic. It is large, very large for Truckee, and two-levels. It has very large TVs with sports tuned in. We started with a flight of beer. All four of the local crafted beers were good. We had Nachos. It was a large plate with plenty of meat and the chips appeared to be homemade. The chicken wings were good. The prices are reasonable for Truckee. The service was fast and the food arrived quickly. The entree meals were pretty good. The onion rings were awesome. Two complaints: 1- kids running around everywhere, and 2- the servers did not know anything or offer any information about the beers that they served, even when asked. My son ordered one draft, and the server replied, we are out of that one, but this other one tastes the same." Not a good answer for a brewpub. Yes we will for sure come back. This new location just opened a month ago and I am sure they will smooth out the rough spots. Overall it was a nice experience.

We walked in brand new building with modern warm features. Inside spacious and inviting. Sports on the TVs. Warm fireplace with cozy couches. Best burger! Wow! Juicy and not overcooked. Sweet potato fries super yum. Chicken sandwich was juicy and good portion! Service was slow but the server was busy with most of the tables. I'd recommend this place for sure.

This place is amazing. Delicious food, excellent service, great ambience. The burgers are outstanding!

Cauliflower bites on the appetizer menu; best breading ever!

Both food and service were absolutely top-notch! We're a combo of locals/somewhat locals and 50/50s food was on point with high expectations. We had: -The appetizer pretzel: was good! (I make homemade pretzels so I have "opinions." LOL) And -The cauliflower bites, with a little heat. The cauliflower bites were perfectly spicy with the best breading I've ever had! (And, trust me, I'm quietly picky about breading things... let alone things that naturally sog out. We agreed they were the star of the meal. Give it a go; you won't be disappointed!

Quality is consistent and it's a solid choice if you're in the mood for American food. The food is a bit over priced for what it is, but on par with what you'd expect just because it's Truckee. Service is kind of hit or miss - everyone is friendly but today we waited about 15 minutes before someone even came to take our drink order. It often runs on the slower side, but thr staff are always pleasant to deal with. The acoustics are terrible, though, so if you have a sound sensitivity the indoor dining is going to be rough. However, I like the outdoor dining when the weather is nice.

Sat in a corner table. Cozy and secluded. Service was courteous and prompt. Grilled fish tacos were delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked. Chicken sandwich was tasty as well. Fries weren't up to par this time. A bit cold. Plenty of drink choices and I've always liked their beers.

Mac N Cheese Birra Tacos - Beef Truckee Burger - Beef Patty Caesar Salad

Great new location! Very spacious, and nice staff experience. Really enjoyed the Wolverine burger with the garlic fries! Mac n cheese is bit on blander side needs more cheese in my opinion but very creamy. Cesar salad was great and very fresh, crunchy and flavorful. The tacos were great and crunchy! Food came out fast and server was good at attending us, great lunch spot experience. Bit overpriced for food, and outside seating is needed!

Fun spot with plenty of seating inside & on the patio. Service is attentive & very friendly. They offer an abundant menu with lots of tasty options. In addition to cocktails, they have a bunch of beer options that you'd expect at a brewery. 50/50 is a must visit. Provecho! Pro-Tip: Don't pass on the nachos appetizer. You can thank me later.

We try to visit lots of breweries when we travel so when we drove by this one, we made a quick turnaround! In addition to the beer, which was good, we also had buffalo cauliflower and the fried chicken sando with onion rings. I'm a big onion ring fan and these just didn't do it for me. Most of the breading just fell off. :/ Not sure if it was just an off day but our waitress neglected to get our items correct on two occasions during our short visit. I heard her apologizing to two other tables as well. We were able to eat outside, which we relish. Not an awesome experience but really no complaints. I'd visit again.

Flank steak, medium rare. Mash potatoes with asparagus. All good portions!

If you ask me for places that stand out in the greater Reno-Tahoe region brew scene, The Good Wolf…read morewould be near the top of the list. For years now, I've been saying these guys make some of the best, most unique beers in our area. And anyone looking for a solid pint or some creative things to try, would do well to swing by. Firstly, I absolutely love the location. It's a cozy little spot in the north Truckee industrial area. But step through the doors, and you enter a space that can only be described as a mix of hippy commune and witch's lair, with some delightfully quirky decor, and an incredibly friendly staff. Really does feel like a hidden gem. But as for r the beers themselves; in short, I think these are some of the best quality, and most niche types of brews you'll find around here. They have a smaller menu, but what they have is dominated by their Forest Beer series. These are concoctions made with all sorts of foraged ingredients from the forests, fields, and farms close to Truckee. Always changing, it is something to try out. The Borrowed Bines used fresh cut hops, the Bay Shore uses locally culled bay leaves, the Range of Light uses picked juniper berries, and the Dirt Candy uses mushrooms that grow in the woods. They also have been breaking into brewing their own apple cider, which is delicious but quite strong. Plus, they will usually have N/A options with their house lemonade or brewed soda on tap, too. So yeah, the menu almost certainly has something for everyone. Prices for everything are pretty typical.for the area, usually around $8-9 per pint. Though my one sort of gripe is that the smaller 4-5 ounce tasters are like $4 each, a bit pricier than most other tasters, so that makes it quickly more pricy to try out a lot of their menu. If you want any beers to-go, sadly they only offer a few at this juncture, and in bottles. And there is no food here, just a few snacks for sale. But make sure to browse their swag stands, as they have some eclectic merch. All in all, I definitely encourage any beer fans to come and check this spot out. Been one of my favorites for years, and I'll bet it can easily become one of yours, too. Cheers, all!

On the beer side, I tried their Contradiction (Golden Mocha Stout), which was very good. I also had their Hazy IPA - Chance of Clouds, and that was excellent as well--actually better than I remembered. Ordered a beet salad, meat lovers pizza and a flight of beer tastings (4 flavors) First off the Server was wonderful! Very warm and very friendly to talk with. The beets, candied walnuts and cheese mixed with the arugula was such a fantastic and delicious combo! I'd drive 4 hours just for this salad! The all meat pizza is delicious! The tangy tomato sauce is a very welcomed change of flavor when compared to other pizzas. The sour dough crust is a welcome change too! Very tasty with the tasty meat toppings! The beer flight I had was delicious! I liked the first one a lot! I'm not a very big drinker but I liked the first one. The stout is very delicious too with a fairly strong coffee flavor. Three Sheets Brewing Company - Great Service, Underwhelming Food…read more We visited Three Sheets Brewing Company hoping for a satisfying meal and some craft brews, but walked away feeling a bit underwhelmed -- with a few highlights and several misses. Food: The biggest disappointment was the hamburger, which we ordered medium-rare but received well-done. It was dry, overcooked, and lacked any real flavor -- honestly, we wouldn't order it again. The pulled pork sandwich had decent taste, though it was on the dry side and could've used more BBQ sauce to bring it to life. The shrimp were fine but forgettable. The seafood bisque was probably the best thing we had -- rich and creamy with a nice depth of flavor. The crab cakes had good seasoning but were a bit soggy on the outside. We also ordered fries, but they never made it to the table, which was frustrating. Drinks: We tried two of their house beers, and while drinkable, they were just average -- nothing that stood out or made us want to order a second round. Service: On the bright side, our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, doing her best despite the kitchen issues. Her friendly service helped soften the experience. Final Thoughts: While the vibe is relaxed and the service was great, the food execution and beer quality didn't quite deliver. There's potential here, but it needs more consistency -- and attention to detail -- to be worth a return visit.
