Love the new space, it's modern, vibrant, and cozy. The place was packed on a Sunday night, which is always a good sign. We came in with a large group of 18 and the team handled it smoothly. Food came out quickly, which was impressive for such a big party. The appetizer meatballs were delicious, and I had the veggie burger with chimichurri aioli which was also really good, it tasted like a handmade veggie patty, not one of those overly processed Impossible-style burgers One small note from our table: the veggies (asparagus + broccoli) were almost too salty to eat. Service was terrible, the waitress asked if we wanted drinks (we did-we asked for a beer menu) she came back 5 mins later without a menu and asked if we wanted drinks again....then we reiterated we wanted a beer menu and she brought it, but literally never returned for our drink order. The food came out (not from our waitress) it, tasted decent, but $16 for a kids meal is outrageous (especially when it doesn't come with a drink ) We never saw our waitress again after she dropped off the beer menu until she asked if we wanted the check, then she TOLD me the price and held the iPhone up for me to pay--like, no paper check at all to review and you aren't even gonna let me hold the iPhone to pay with privacy? Because the tip will reflect the service... They also stated on the menu that they charged $ .50 for any ' sauce' requests...which is so weird considering that none of the meals were cheap. Not sure if they followed through with this because I couldn't actually view my check. The new 50/50 location is fantastic. It is large, very large for Truckee, and two-levels. It has very large TVs with sports tuned in. We started with a flight of beer. All four of the local crafted beers were good. We had Nachos. It was a large plate with plenty of meat and the chips appeared to be homemade. The chicken wings were good. The prices are reasonable for Truckee. The service was fast and the food arrived quickly. The entree meals were pretty good. The onion rings were awesome. Two complaints: 1- kids running around everywhere, and 2- the servers did not know anything or offer any information about the beers that they served, even when asked. My son ordered one draft, and the server replied, we are out of that one, but this other one tastes the same." Not a good answer for a brewpub. Yes we will for sure come back. Service is kind of hit or miss - everyone is friendly but today we waited about 15 minutes before someone even came to take our drink order. Large bar area. Plenty of seating. Upstairs area open for seating when we were there but could be used for a private party location. Loved watching the Olympics on all the big TVs. Beer and food quality remain excellent. The fish in the fish and chips is my favorite. The burgers are awesome. The fries are good but best when they are first served straight from the frier. Let's start with the positive part, the new location is spacious, modern, and clean! Our family stopped in for lunch on Saturday and had a disappointing experience. Service was very slow, and our server seemed disengaged (possibly because our group of six automatically included a 20% gratuity). We asked for a kids' menu and were told they didn't have one and to just pick something on the regular menu, only to see the table next to ours with kids' menus and kid-friendly options like chicken strips & fries. When we asked about it, the explanation from the waitress didn't make much sense, so we spoke with a manager. We try to visit lots of breweries when we travel so when we drove by this one, we made a quick turnaround! In addition to the beer, which was good, we also had buffalo cauliflower and the fried chicken sando with onion rings. I'm a big onion ring fan and these just didn't do it for me. Most of the breading just fell off. :/ Not sure if it was just an off day but our waitress neglected to get our items correct on two occasions during our short visit. I went here for a lunch after my son's graduation. I had heard good things and wanted to try it out. It's a great location away from downtown so I feel less crowded. We got the cheese curds for appetizer and man they were delish. They were served with a chimichurri sauce that was divine!! We ordered various burgers and sandwiches and pizza for entrees. Went there last saturday. 1) Sit outside is pretty nice, I arrived around 6pm, not that crowded, I was very worry that it is summer on saturday night. Not that crowded. 2) Ordered watermelon salad, fish taco, ice-cream sunday. My husband ordered beef taco. Everything is good, beer is tasty. And waiter is nice and responsive. Last week Steve and I got to try some beer from Fifty Fifty Brewing, a brewery that has long been on my list to try and I am very grateful that it finally happened! I had the 2023 Eclipse which was an Imperial Stout that was very, very strong. We were kind of having a stressful night anyway and realized when we were drinking it that having a strong beer is just what we needed. Flavor highlights with this stout to look for are sweetness, coffee and that strength just sitting on your tongue. It was a good stout and if the rest if their beers are as solid then they got something good going on and perhaps on another occasion we will dive into the other beer options to test that. read more

We sat at the bar and ordered a few tasters waiting for a table to dine at. The wait was about 15-20 minutes for a table. Upon getting seated sooner than quoted wait time; We wasted no time ordering appetizers and our entrées. I might be the easiest sell to any server. If you have a special 95% of the time I'm ordering the special. I've been here roughly a dozen times over the years in passing. I'm not sure how I haven't rereviewed them. They're my favorite brewery! The service has been hit or miss, but nothing crazy. I love how cozy this restaurant and bar is. I don't know how this place doesn't have a better rating! We were in town visiting and looking for a kid-friendly brewery. We had a bigger group (6 adults and 6 kids) and they accommodated us right away. The staff is so friendly and on top of everything. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was incredible. My husband ordered the fried chicken sandwich and said the coleslaw on it was one of the best he's ever had. Our kids (and us) all gave the kid's mac and cheese a 10/10. The beer is great and one of our friends ordered a cocktail that she said was also really good. The restaurant has great, clean tables. Comfortable chairs. I have zero complaints about any part of our meal. I would 10/10 recommend going for a great lunch and delicious beer! You won't be disappointed! read more

I was in the mood for fish and chips for lunch today. I drive by this place all the time, and was quite happy when doing a search on yelp, this place showed up. The pictures of the fish and chips looked quite good. Having a short lunch, I usually like to exercise during lunch, I called up 50-50 and asked to have a take-out order. The guy on the phone was nice, said that the food to take 15 minutes. After 15 minutes I entered the establishment and stood at the front counter. There was not a large amount of people there, however no one came up to be the front to greet me. It was now 12:30 PM which I would consider the height of lunchtime. After standing there for a while, I finally started walking towards the bar and told the bartender I had a to go order. Sitting on the end of the bar was a to go box. He went behind the bar, got my bill set it down and said have a good day. He then walked away. What I ordered: Fish and chips So I got back to work, open up the box and the first thing I noticed was how dark the french fries were. again, I'm not sure if they were over cooked, or what I'd like to call "refried" where they re-dip french fries to try to freshen them up a bit. However they were pretty horrible. They were hard like potato chips. One of the things that is enjoyable about fish and chips is having a really good french fry. Just look at the picture and you can see. The fish itself, was cut kind of thin, so each piece was about 1/3 batter. The fish was flaky, the batter was delicious. It actually was really good call Lodi. The tartar sauce on the other hand, was a spicy tartar sauce. It had good flavor, but for fish and chips I really just prefer good old fashion tartar sauce. Because of the finfish heavily coded, brown french fries, and a horrible customer service, I had to give us a place to start. The one extra star was the flavor of the fish. read more

We're staying in town for a wedding and a family member told us to check this place out. Typically we eat somewhere in Old Town. This is a great little spot. Good ambience. Nice patio space when the weather is good. I'm not much of a beer drinker but my Blonde Ale was tasty and light which is what I was looking for. The big surprise was the meal. Wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. The flank steak came out cooked as requested and the chimichurri sauce had great flavor. The mashed potatoes were excellent (just like the ones I make at Thanksgiving) and the asparagus was tender and nicely seasoned. Service was attentive but when we asked for more silverware set ups only one was brought for the person who asked. I was served food and had no fork or napkin at that point and had to ask. SERVICE was bad, waitress was super rude (forgot her name) older looking, white lady with ash blonde hair.. it was almost an inconvenience for her to serve us . We had a very enjoyable lunch outside at Fifty-Fifty. They brought water for our dog without being asked, which was much appreciated, and overall the service was excellent. We had the barbecue chicken pizza, which was delicious, the Donner party Porter, which was equally delicious, grilled fish, tacos, and beef Birria tacos. All very good. We also, thanks to my son, ordered buffalo cauliflower, and the large pretzel which none of us needed but thoroughly enjoyed.
