Love the new space, it's modern, vibrant, and cozy. The place was packed on a Sunday night, which is always a good sign. We came in with a large group of 18 and the team handled it smoothly. Food came out quickly, which was impressive for such a big party. The appetizer meatballs were delicious, and I had the veggie burger with chimichurri aioli which was also really good, it tasted like a handmade veggie patty, not one of those overly processed Impossible-style burgers One small note from our table: the veggies (asparagus + broccoli) were almost too salty to eat. Service was terrible, the waitress asked if we wanted drinks (we did-we asked for a beer menu) she came back 5 mins later without a menu and asked if we wanted drinks again....then we reiterated we wanted a beer menu and she brought it, but literally never returned for our drink order. The food came out (not from our waitress) it, tasted decent, but $16 for a kids meal is outrageous (especially when it doesn't come with a drink ) We never saw our waitress again after she dropped off the beer menu until she asked if we wanted the check, then she TOLD me the price and held the iPhone up for me to pay--like, no paper check at all to review and you aren't even gonna let me hold the iPhone to pay with privacy? Because the tip will reflect the service... They also stated on the menu that they charged $ .50 for any ' sauce' requests...which is so weird considering that none of the meals were cheap. I couldn't tell if there were too few servers or if they weren't qualified, but it felt like there were lots of food runners and no one to actually take orders. The entire experience was confusing. The menu said several beers were available, but they in fact weren't and the ones that said they were coming soon were available now, at least the server thought they were. We may never know as he only came back to bring our check and sheepishly asked if we wanted to order our drink now. I actually kind of felt sorry for him because he looked like he was stuck in the midst of chaos that he really couldn't control. He was a nice person, definitely not rude. The beers here are always good but we were also very impressed with the food. My wife paired a Tahoe pilz with the pork cutlet and potato pancake. Generous portion and well prepared. The side of fingerling potato's tasted as if they had been cooked the day before and reheated. They were dry and hard and inedible. I picked at the inside of a few that were soft but not of them were just rock hard and overcooked or overheated. The asparagus was good. The fries were good. The service was good, out server was quick and the hostess was very welcoming . The nachos were not the best. The cheese seemed to be microwave to the point it hardened on the chips. My sister got engaged at Donner Lake, and we had originally made a reservation at another restaurant to celebrate. Unfortunately, when we arrived, those plans fell through. We walked into Fifty Fifty hoping they might be able to help, and from the moment we arrived, the hostesses and front-of-house staff immediately jumped into action. They quickly put together a beautiful outdoor table for my sister and her fiancé to walk up to. They were genuinely excited to help, assisted me with decorating, and even found candles to make the setup feel extra special. The prices are reasonable for Truckee. The service was fast and the food arrived quickly. The entree meals were pretty good. The onion rings were awesome. Two complaints: 1- kids running around everywhere, and 2- the servers did not know anything or offer any information about the beers that they served, even when asked. My son ordered one draft, and the server replied, we are out of that one, but this other one tastes the same." Not a good answer for a brewpub. Yes we will for sure come back. The food looked good from the outside but it just wasn't. I could not get myself to eat the fried chicken sandwich. I just couldn't! Not sure what part of the chicken they fried for that. Something brown with a lot of connecting parts. And the coleslaw heavy in mayo had no flavor. Ughhh...I hate to waste money on bad food. I have to say the shrimp tacos ordered at my table didn't look too great either. The Shrimp almost looked under cooked and covered with the flavorless slaw. It wasn't devoured. Very family friendly. The hostesses were a bit overwhelmed by our party (even though only 2 families came 1st) and said they couldn't seat us all together, the place was only half full. We waited an hour and ten minutes just to be seated. It was undeniably a chaotic night, as the establishment was completely packed for the England vs. Mexico World Cup match. While it was clear that demand was through the roof--with crowds of people being told the wait was 2 hours or more at the door--the venue's internal operations simply collapsed under the pressure. The core products were great. The food we managed to get was very good as were the cocktails. However, management completely failed on inventory control; they were entirely out of almost every appetizer on the menu. The worst part was our experience with Maci, one of the hostesses. After being quite rude at the front desk she later walked past us, turned and looked right at us, then chose to stand directly in front of the TV screen, completely blocking our view of the match (while the other hostess ducked down so as not to block our view). Maci's actions showed a total lack of training and customer awareness. The floor staff were the only reason we stayed. The restaurant was completely slammed, and management clearly left the servers running around without any direction, leadership, or support. Despite the chaotic atmosphere and evident lack of internal organization, the individual servers did their absolute best to be helpful, kind, and accommodating under very busy conditions. The establishment has immense potential, but leadership needs to work out a massive amount of operational kinks. We won't be back until management trains their front-desk staff and properly supports their hardworking floor crew. read more

In addition to the beer, which was good, we also had buffalo cauliflower and the fried chicken sando with onion rings. I'm a big onion ring fan and these just didn't do it for me. Most of the breading just fell off. :/ Not sure if it was just an off day but our waitress neglected to get our items correct on two occasions during our short visit. Mid day Saturday seated outside. 5 people and only received 3 of the orders. 5 minutes later received an apology and told they would comp the last 2. Also did not bring fries with one of the meals and was told it did not include fries - though it clearly stated this on the menu. Great new location! Very spacious, and nice staff experience. Really enjoyed the Wolverine burger with the garlic fries! Mac n cheese is bit on blander side needs more cheese in my opinion but very creamy. Cesar salad was great and very fresh, crunchy and flavorful. The tacos were great and crunchy! The salmon was also just prepared from frozen with bare bones seasoning. Almost like it's on the menu along with a salad for the ladies, but no effort put into it.
