Pepperoni flat bread
Thao V.

Ate here two day straight because we had no where to go due to the storm. First off, service was great both times we were here. All the staff worked well like an oiled machine. 5/5 for service. Jeff was our bartender and he was super sweet and very good and making his specialty drinks. We had a Bloody Mary and old fashion and both were nice and strong. 5/5 for drinks In terms of food however it was a hit or miss. The ratings are as follows per item 5/5 table bread and butter were super yummy. Nice warm sourdough bread with butter 1/5 Gumbo. Tasted muddy and I missed the rice, okra, shrimp. 1/5 for using crawfish mainly but the taste was not right at all 5/5 pepperoni flat bread. My kid likes it 3/5 Kid's spaghetti and meatballs. My kid didn't mind it but I didn't like it. The meatballs lacked seasoning 5/5 Fish and chips were cooked perfectly and was very tasty 2/5 Tuna cones were a bit salty with too much soysauce. A ponzu sauce would have made it more balanced. I didn't like the crepe cones and would have enjoyed a wonton wrapper instead. The tuna, mango, and avocado was nice and fresh. 5/5 Mac and cheese, my kid loved it 3/5 kids burger was dry and was the missing the lettuce we ordered with it 5/5 brownie with ice cream. My kid ate the whole thing without leaving me a taste 3/5 chocolate cake had flavor but was not moist 4/5 Pistachio cheesecake had the right amount of sweetness and the compote was tart enough to balance the cheesecake. I just didn't like the crust. 3/5 decor was a bit outdated, but I loved the fireplace and couch. It was overall nice and cozy.

Best kept secret in Tahoe City! You cannot go wrong at Cedar House Pub tucked away in the Granlibakken Resort. The food, ambience and staff are all amazing. Summer on the deck under the stars and in the winter enjoy dining in a warm cozy dining room by a roaring fireplace. Food and cocktails are not only delicious, it's a pleasure to see the staff take pride in their service.

Food was delicious. Like other reviewers said, fresh warm bread and butter was a great start. Ordered some Brussels sprouts and then our entrees. Kiddo didn't realize that his burger came plain so we asked for lettuce, tomato, and pickles and they brought it over right away. French fries were crispy.

Food was fresh and good with exception of the vegan brussel sprouts. They probably would have been good regular (with the parmesan and pancetta). They seemed short staffed as service was a bit slow. The hostess stepped up and helped. I love the lodge's cozy atmosphere. Next time I'll have a drink by the fireplace. They have a rewards program via Toast and you get 25 pts just for signing up. Scored $14 off after dining here.

Food was superb. They had gourmet selections, but also good burgers and pizza. We would go again next time we are in town.

Old-school Tahoe. Unbeatable ski-schloss vibe, solid food, best prices in town. Super friendly service.

Lucas the sub bartender has no idea what customer service is. He is extremely rude not only to customers but also the other staff.

Another bike ride, another stop at Sunnyside. Unfortunately, they no longer serve the ribs... booo!…read more We both ordered the Seafood Chowder and split a slice of Hula Pie. The chowder arrived on the cool side, but the staff was very prompt about taking care of it, heating it up, and getting it back to us. There was plenty of seafood in every bite, which was great, but it needed some salt and pepper. I also think some bacon would have added another layer of flavor. I wasn't a fan of the focaccia bread that came with the chowder. It was more like eating a giant crouton. I think oyster crackers or a nice piece of soft, warm bread would have been a much better. The Hula Pie was huge and delicious. Definitely big enough to share! Despite a few misses, we enjoyed our visit. The next time we're biking in the area, we'll probably stop in again.

Was a bit worried they'll hit me sooner in high elevation, but was fine. Food wise, we tried their fried coconut crusted squid or calamari and their fish n chips. The fried calamari/squid were the flat kinds, similar looks to a flattened mozzarella stick. It was ok, def needed the sauce it came with. The fish n chips was one of the worst we've had. Very dry and dense fish. Ugh. The sauce and stuff was so much needed. Service was good though. We were seated promptly and our order was taken and food arrived timely. Would come back for the views and drinks.

It's a little tight for 5 people to have enough table space for everything we ordered. The food was all pretty good - pretty typical diner breakfast food. The orange juice was delicious! Big serving of pancake just wished I had more butter and it's something I likely could've asked for. The only thing I'd say was it took a little bit to get the check but they seemed slammed. We love supporting the local businesses here so thank you for a great last send off from this place!

Came in with my 5 year old and a 2 year old for lunch on a Tuesday…read more 56$ for one adult and two kids. Caesar salad was watery, with 0 seasoning. Impossible to add pepper, as the pepper and salt mills on the table hadn't been churned or cleaned in weeks, and I don't trust taking off the lid - if it doesn't shake out, the clumps won't add any flavor. When I say watery, there was less salad dressing (possibly less than a tablespoon of dressing) than water on the lettuce. There was no dressing on the bottom of the bowl; the advantage of a lot of watery lettuce is that there was a nice soup of shredded costco parmesan and water. 6oz of grilled chicken with no seasoning for 20.99. Ordered a plain kids hamburger, received a cheeseburger, charged for a cheeseburger. I don't understand how a cook can mess up an order for a plain, no-topping hamburger, but they did have a sign for "HIRING COOK ALL SHIFTS" out front, so I guess the kitchen is what it is right now. 6 Dino nuggies and approximately 10 French fries on each plate. Didn't even get out of the restaurant before the kids were complaining about the taste; fry oil was rancid or the frozen French fries had de-temped and soaked in thaw starch before re-feezing, air frying, and being served to my kids. When a 2 year old refuses to eat dino nuggies, you know they're dried to a crisp. This is worse than graveyard casino food from the shadiest meth cooks money can't afford, and I've been a security guard for those spots. Didn't even have an ice maker for drinks in here - this place needs to just close up and offer some better tenants the space to do something besides greaseslop. I don't understand how a cafe offering food this bland, flavorless, reheated-in-an-air fryer can stay open on main street in Tahoe City. It was hospital food being served to a number of retirees with digestive conditions.
