It was ok. The pretzel and the dips were super good! Came out warm and fluffy with good flavor. The cheese was amazing. The lemonade was prob my favorite part of eating here. It was so tart and the splash of grenadine added just the right amount of sweetness to balance it but still make you pucker. The fish was ok, I feel like it was missing some flavor in maybe the batter? The sauce on my sandwich was solid though. The potato sides that came with the dishes though were good. Loved the coating on them and they were very crispy. It has great views from the outdoor seating and is a lovely spot in Tahoe. First off. We went here a few times. It was good we returned many times. The service was great. The entire staff makes you for welcome. The ambiance is wonderful. Like I said, we kept coming back. The food was exceptional. We worked our way through the menu and I just want to point out the stew. I'm a super fan of stew and just had to try it. It did not disappoint. The bread they give with it is also a treat. I dug into the stew only to find a bonus mound of mashed potatoes in the center under the stew. Came in on a Sunday night in October - it was pretty quiet and we were seated right away. We shared the loaded tots and shepherds pie. Shepard's pie was really good - loaded tots needed some more load on it. I ordered a cocktail from their speciality menu - for $16 I thought it would be a regular size drink but it was served in this little tiny glass, maybe 3 ounces or so. Not worth it. The food is great. The drinks are good. This review is about the service. Our waiter was fine even it was the food runner. He approached our table and stuck the plate out, said "salmon?" and handed it to me. It wasn't my dish but my husbands sitting next to me. I handed it to him. Then he said "shepherds pie" and again pushed the pate into my hands rather than setting it on the table. This plate was HOT. It burned my hands. I set it down as quick as I could. I didn't bring it up in person because I feel like it's always assumed you want something free that's not the case. The servers are fun, the bartenders are great and the overall service is quality. The food is what you would expect from an Irish pub, heavier side, but good and filling. My husband & I had stopped in one day a couple of weeks ago while on holiday in Tahoe and witnessed the most atrocious behavior from one of the staff here. This beautiful woman had come in with her white fluffy adorable dog. One of the staff member or owner, not sure who he was, came up and started berating and screaming at her about her dog. She said she had a service dog card and he continued to yell at her. Her dog was well behaved. We were within ear shot and heard it all. Last I checked it's illegal to deny someone service if they have a service dog. This guy was a complete a$$! Solid food, nice to dine outside. My wife and I split a roasted artichoke and a fish sandwich. Both were very good. The artichoke needed to be parboiled prior to cooking, but it was still flavorful, just a bit tough. The fish sandwich was solid- its large too, so easy to split. Came with tots that were really good. The atmosphere is sports bar, pub-ish, with ball games on the tv. A friend told us this is the only decent spot at Squaw resort. I pray not, because it was no five star experience. If possible, try to sit outside. The views are simply fantastic all around the pub. If not, the inside is a cozy alternative. Somewhat cultural, a loose example of an old Irish pub. Strange that they had plenty of open tables but were still rushing around. Are they short on staff? I wish I had answers to basic questions like that. Every time we asked anything, our server, a short, older, blonde woman, shouted a hard to understand answer over her shoulder as she's blitzing past us to someplace else. Questions like, what's the surcharge for? A village fee? For crying out loud, What's your name, miss? The receipt says her name is Sprout. I hope Sprout realizes that she all but ruined our first trip to Squaw with snappy, snide responses like "could we speed it up, I'm kinda busy here!" "I really have no idea" or "it just is, don't worry about it". At least the food was pretty good. Our group split a truly scrumptious Shepard's pie, Guinness Beef Stew and Blackened Ahi Tacos after a lackluster Roasted Brussels Sprouts appetizer. The Guinness was served properly and the Black n Tans were perfect (Those are off menu, btw). We were determined to look beyond the lousy service and enjoy ourselves. For the sake of this review, however, we'll say four stars for the food, five for the atmosphere and zero stars for the service, giving us a solid three. 10/21 read more

Like many of the restaurants in the Palisades Village, the Dubliner is just alright. That being said, when you are absolutely famished after an entire day of skiing/snowboarding, anything will taste good. For our first time here, we went a little overboard and ordered the shepherd's pie, corned beef reuben with tater tots, and the artichoke hearts. Most of the dishes were standard Irish pub fare with my favorite being the roasted veggies that came with the Shepherd's pie. There was also very little mashed potatoes with the pie which was disappointing given the nearly $30 price point. Come here for a pint with some friends but maybe skip out on the food. read more

The service was average and nothing special, the bartenders were not very friendly. However, it was certainly an improved experience compared to last time. They were very busy because it was a Saturday during ski season, so it seemed like they didn't have much time to spend going above and beyond with their service. My kid had a 1 hour lunch break during her all day ski lesson, and after narrowing down the choices we settled on this one with 45 minutes. We were seated immediately and upon sitting, ordered her mac and cheese + chicken tenders. It came out speedily, she liked the spiral noodles and white cheddar sauce, as well as the 3 hefty pieces of chicken tenders (peppery thick coating, white meat). The Auld Dubliner has a special place in my heart. Whenever I go to squaw/alpine meadows/palisades whatever you call it, I always make a stop in here. You can also find a Dubliner is many travels, my first was in Ottawa, Canada and the quality is there no matter the country. The beer selection is top notch and on this visit I had some goulash that was outstanding so I highly recommend this place. It's pricey but it's a ski resort, what do you expect? A nice little gem tucked away in the village at the base of squaw mountain in Tahoe. After a long day on skis, all I wanted was a nice beer and some bar food. The Auld Dubliner delivered in spades. They were short staffed but still made it happen, and the staff was very friendly. The fish n chips is a massive serving and was crispy, flaky, and tasty. All the things you want from fish n chips. With a little malt vinegar, I couldn't get enough. The curry had a great flavor and contrasted nicely with my black n tan. The ahi tacos were delicious as well! The first thing I noticed was a row of Blanton's toppers (iykyk) so I knew I was in a great place. Great, welcoming service. Had the bratwurst and it was delicious.
