Ordered a side of chicken and we were done with our tea and everyone was waiting in The car while the chicken had still not even been started to heat up chicken 20 min later and I had to ask for a refund because I felt bad for the people waiting for me as everyone was done and ready !! . A friend recommended Coffeebar and it was a good recommendation. I grabbed the seasonal cold brew with pumpkin spice cold foam which had the taste and consistency of custard.... Yum!! This review is a little late.... But I went in this cute little store on a busy Sunday morning. I was greeted by a beautiful young women named Violet. There was a pale skinny man with earrings making my coffee who was extremely rude. The cashier, Violet would be the only reason I come back. Her costumer service, her smile, 10/10. Was really looking forward to coming back to this place 3 years later and felt disappointed. It seems that have turned into a coffee drink shop and not a coffee shop focused on good coffee. The coffee flight is no longer on the menu, which we could have made our own, but did not seem like the baristas or cashier would have been pleased with that. Our espresso took about 20 minutes to come out, even after asking about it after a 15 minute wait. The positive is that the espresso was pretty solid, so I will give them that. It seems they have grown (they were busy the whole time on the Sunday morning we were there), which is great for them! But maybe too big for their own good to focus on quality of coffee, not just milk drinks. The bathroom was also shoddy and not attended to well. read more

Nice spot for a coffee and breakfast or lunch! I came here twice during my week in Truckee. The first time was right before closing and we got the deal of the century with their $5 donut box!! I assume it's the donuts that didn't sell that get put in there. Their raspberry donuts were DELICIOUS! One of the best donuts I've ever had. You are truly missing out if you don't get one. The maple is also yummy, but the cinnamon roll is a skip in my opinion. Their iced matcha is pretty good, but a little overpriced. I subbed oat milk in mine and it came to almost $10 which is crazy. I got a SF vanilla latte with oat milk the second time I came and it was okay, nothing special. Overall a cute spot and would recommend. Be warned though that it does get pretty busy. read more

Such a gem in downtown Truckee! Off the main road so need to search for it ~ but Coffeebar has an amazing selection of seasonal drinks -- creative, well-crafted, and perfect for the mountain vibe. This coffee shop gives small town coffee shop vibes. While their parking lot is a little small I found street parking close by. The baristas were friendly, and food and drinks we ordered came out quickly. They encourage eating in and bringing your own reusable cup which I love. The sandwich and coffee I ordered was tasty. The prices are on the higher side, which is expected for the Truckee considering the area, so just something to be aware of. read more

TLDR; not worth it. I've been to this place in the past and the coffee was pretty good and the food was decent, but I recently came in for lunch and was VERY disappointed. We got the cauliflower rice bowl and chicken salad sandwich which were $20 each. The sandwich came on mediocre extremely stale wheat bread hardly the size of my palm with a tiny scoop of chicken salad. At least toast it if it's stale!! The rice bowl also just had cauliflower, rice and avocado in a small small bowl .... again $20. Just ridiculously overpriced for what they offer. read more

We remembered this place from our last visit to Tahoe in 2020. My wife is a big fan of their coffee drinks and I tried their bacon & egg sandwich on a brioche bun on our last day there. Coffee Bar is our favorite little spot in Truckee. I love the staff, the delicious drinks and sandwiches and that there is plenty of space for indoor or outdoor seating. It is a fun place for people watching. My husband and I love to watch the Truckee/Tahoe fashion show that walks past us. There are some spunky staff there that are fun to talk with. I really like the guy with fair colored hair and earring(s). We were both sad on my last day there! I hope he is still there my next trip. Try the avocado toast and the bacon egg on brioche. This place is a little off the beaten track on Jiboom street just one street over from the main shopping area. Take a break from shopping to have a warm drink and something yummy to eat! And they have a great golden tumeric latte too! No place is perfect but this place is a little slice of heaven to us! read more

The day we visited, they were training a new employee! That we understand why there were hiccups. They did give us a discount on our order and remade our drinks! The wait was little long, but to be fair we did order a lot of food/drinks. A lot of us got the seasonal drinks. Personally the lychee rose was perfume-y, matcha tasted water down and lacking flavor, and ube latte was grainy. The coffee here is good though! All the food items we got, tasted bland in our opinion. What we got was the Chorizo burrito & chicken salad sandwich. The sandwich had a little sour taste to it? I am very pleased with my experience yesterday. I stopped by for a quick midday lunch. I was craving an iced matcha and Serenity recommended the seasonal cucumber mint matcha. It was TO DIE FOR!! I am seriously still daydreaming about it & am thinking of going back again for it! The chicken & rice bowl was also delicious. The flavor was excellent and the chicken was cooked well. The sauce on top was so good!!! The only thing is I wish there was just a little more chicken added to the bowl. I used to love love love this coffee shop years ago - I recently moved back and have come back to the downtown location 3 times and every time have been deeply dissapointed in the attitudes of the barista (today she absolutely slammed the coffee onto the table and gave me so much attitude for asking for a for here cup (which she said there were no clean cups available which has happened to me now twice here). They upped their merchandise game also with more branded items for this location. Ordered the seasonal cider, latte, grilled cheese and burrito. Avoid at all costs. First and foremost, my rooibos chai was lukewarm watery tea with some foam. It was the worst chai I've ever had, and I am not exaggerating unfortunately. The egg sando was okay, the brioche bun was delicious but it was like half an egg with 3 onions and sauce. This was recommended as the BEST breakfast, which - yikes. I love Coffeebar and have been to the Truckee location, and both locations in Reno, several times. But after my recent experience at the one in Truckee, I'll likely skip it there the next time I want coffee while in town. It took a very long time for my two orders to be ready, and I was fine with that. What I wasn't fine with was how rude the barista was to me. Milk was not available on the back table, soi I politely asked her if it would be possible to get some for my husband's coffee. She basically frowned, sighed, glared, grabbed the milk and poured a little in. I told her sorry, that what she poured was enough and then she slammed the milk container down (it was a show to tell me I was putting her out) and she got back to work without another word. I have been coming here for years. It is kind of tucked away, a block off the main street. They do have a small parking lot but street parking is plentiful. I love their indoor and outdoor patio seating area as well as the selection of baked goods and coffee drinks! My favorite go to is the turmeric latte. Although they now have five locations (Menlo Park, Reno, Olympic Valley, Truckee and Redwood City), this location in downtown Truckee is the original cafe. There is always a selection of cool artwork on the walls and the vibe is pretty chill. Last time I was here I bought some merch consisting of a Coffeebar-branded Miir insulated water bottle! Met up with some friends in Truckee as we headed back to Utah. The coffee shop was situated off the main street and had a nice little parking lot next to it. We walked in around 7 a.m. and it was completely empty besides one person sitting in the corner. We were able to order quickly (an iced oat chai latte, cappuccino, ham and cheese croissant, and a breakfast sandwich) and then sat at a table for our friends to arrive. Our food arrived before our drinks and we loved them. The ham and cheese croissant was heated up nicely and super flaky and savory. The sandwich was soft and tasty, and we even influenced our friends to order one, too. As for our drinks, the chai latte wasn't too sweet which was a refreshing surprise, and my partner enjoyed his cappuccino. We'll definitely be back again when we pass through next time. read more

My family and I drove an hour to spend an afternoon strolling Truckee, shop, and have coffee and pastries at Coffeebar. Unfortunately, we were truly disappointed by the rude and hateful barista, who had long blonde hair and an awful attitude. She had no basic human respect or kindness which is quite opposite of the beautiful "You belong here" writing on the glass window/door. Each time that my daughter and I stepped toward the drinks, she rolled her eyes and demanded us to step away. We weren't even blocking anyone or standing in the way!! When I didn't think this barista could be anymore disrespectful, she took it to the next level. We heard a name similar to my daughter's name, so we walked toward the counter to see if it was our drinks. The barista angrily reprimanded us by saying, "These are not yours! You'll know your drinks are ready when you hear your name!" My daughter was in complete bewilderment. This woman was very mean to us for no reason at all! This behavior should not be tolerated. As tourists, we expected this coffee shop to be amiable and welcoming, solidified by their written message on the door. We returned the pastry we had bought and I asked the cashier to cancel our order. No matter how delicious their coffee and pastries could possibly be, the entire experience isn't worth it when one has to deal with such a rude person working there. We could have had a nice afternoon in town, but this incident turned us away, we drove to NorthStar and stayed there the rest of the day. VERY Disappointing!! read more

I came in with a group of 6 on a Sunday morning, and there was a long line leading outside the door. The inside is really cute and dim lit. I thought it was nice how they had bake and prepared their pastries freshly daily. The young girl at the cashier was sweet and it seemed like she was being training still, which wasn't any trouble at all. I noticed that once our food and drinks were coming out, a there were a few things had ordered was incorrectly made. I don't have an issue with that, as long as our order was fixed, but the barista making the drinks had a bad attitude. While we were waiting, she messed up on other customers orders and I could see her glaring at customers instead of just owning up to the mistakes and trying to resolve it. I think mistakes happen and that's okay, but the way she handled it was inappropriate for someone working in customer service. I ordered the matcha latte with soy milk, chicken salad sandwich with wheat bread, and the cinnamon roll warmed up. I personally didn't like anything that I ordered. The matcha latte was very bland and tasted watered down. The chicken salad sandwich didn't have much flavor and it tasted sour (a lot of my friends also said their food tasted sour). The cinnamon roll just didn't taste fresh, and I just think the preserved store bought cinnamon rolls were better quality. I tried my friend's drinks; ube latte, americano, and lychee rose latte, and I think out of all the drinks, the lychee rose latte was the best. My friend who ordered the lychee rose latte didn't like her drink though. Every food item at this place was also super pricey. It cost $18 for a chicken salad sandwich and $12 for a cinnamon roll. I think it was convenient since it was near our cabin, but I probably wouldn't try again if I'm in the area. read more
