We've found this location of McDonald's to be consistently satisfying. Yes, it's recognizably fast food, but the service and servers here have been awfully pleasant and efficient with us. For one, they never seem to mind when we shun the ordering machines and place our orders with the cashiers. We prefer the personal touch given all the add-ons we prefer. And they bring your food around on a cart that holds lots of extras like ketchup, sauce, etc. Nice touch. The restaurant has always been clean including the restrooms, and we've heard no complaints about the drive-thru. The orders can take a little time to come out, but given the other positive aspects of this location, we don't mind. read more

Ordered a cup of coffee with no ice. the older guy that works mornings rudely handed me half a cup of coffee. when I asked him about it. He said it was because of the no ice and all he was willing to do was fill it up with a bunch of milk as he stated would water it down. I get no ice may be giving me a little less coffee, but half a cup is ridiculous and the attitude was a nice way to wake up. read more

I've been to this McDonald's a few times and have had good experiences every time. I've ordered through the drive through and app; each times were seamless. The food is the standard McDonald's fare. The drive through lines were average and goes at an average speed. I usually go into the drive through line because I have my children with me and it's easier and convenient. I usually order a happy meal and whatever deal they have on their app. The plaza was busy but easy to get in and out of; it has a Walmart and various of other stores. Parking lot was spacious if you want to go in the restaurant. Overall, a good McDonald's and I've had no issues so far. read more

As far as McDonald's goes, this location is one of the better ones, who has not screwed up our order every time we have ordered here. 70% of the time fresh every time! As far as food goes, it's the McDonald's standard. There are no surprises. However, I really love this location because it's so personalized to the community. They have paintings of Torrington, inspirational quotes (probably from Target or Walmart) on the walls, and a display of their awards and recognitions behind the ketch-up station. Every year they hold a fundraiser selling ornaments for people to sign and decorate their full sized Christmas tree. Other seasons are recognized with special decorations all throughout the dining area. The people are also really nice, and I've never had a problem with my special orders (just ketchup and cheese!). Bathrooms are super clean, even right after their busy lunch hours. I feel like this is one of the nicer McDonald's in the area. read more

The bars not that high in ct for Mickey ds. If they don't throw you the food like they do at some mcdonalds in hartford, hey, they automatically get 2 stars from me. ( yeh pple in Hartford suck) This particular McDonald's is clean and seem to be efficient- never waited long for my order, the food tastes like they should, and the service wasn't great but wasn't horrible either. The manager is very rude and racist acting and I will never go there again! McDonald's need to re-evaluate the people there and make sure they respect all that come in and not just the ones that look like them. I am very upset and disgusted by the way I was treated. I was ignored and looked past like I wasn't there and the manager actually said I am looking for "my customer". I let her know I am YOUR customer are you serious?! I've been to this location for as long as I can remember. They ALWAYS forget my sweet and sour sauce. I always ask for it and they charge me .25 - .50 cents for sauce packets. However, every time I peer into my McDonald's bag...no sauce! Imagine asking for ketchup at a restaurant and they never bring it to you but still charge you for it............un-accept-a-ble. One of the worst McDonald's locations I have ever visited! With its grey brick exterior, it looks more like a morgue or crematorium than a restaurant. The newly renovated interior is just as bad, with fewer booths and extremely uncomfortable bright lighting. There is an awkward communal seating arrangement that provides absolutely no privacy. Tables are often dirty and there are flies in the dining area. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like! The restroom is often dirty too, and it has only one very slow old hand dryer and no paper towels available. The service is unreliable, with workers forgetting items that were ordered. This restaurant is too cheap to make condiments available in the soda area like other McDonald's restaurants, so you have to wait in line again or try to get a busy employee's attention if you forget to ask for them when you place your order. Then they give you a handful of the item you want when one or two would be sufficient. Although the hot fudge sundae is advertised with peanuts, again, they don't provide them unless you ask. They claim its due to some people having peanut allergies, but I think they are just being cheap. I can't imagine they are saving much by pissing off customers this way. If not for the popular drive-thru this disgusting McDonald's location would probably go out of business! read more
