Delicious iced coffee and Mac n cheese!

Brinx Coffee is a treasure in downtown Torrington, CT. Dante, the front server, still works there and gives excellent customer service. And Cody, another young man, is another great server. I had the soup du jour one day and I asked Jessica (the owner) if she'd made it, and she said yes. It was SO good! Yum! Please stop in to this little gem in downtown Torrington, CT. You will not be disappointed!

I am so serious when I tell you that their vegetarian breakfast sandwich is the best l've ever had in Connecticut and possibly New England and possibly in my entire life. I would eat it every day and it also might be my death row meal. Great coffee and ambiance for computer work as well! Highly recommend

Brinx Coffee & Cocktails is located across the street from The Warner Theater in Torrington. This is a very small coffee shop that also serves cocktails and some lunch options. The inside was a bit dark. There was a long table in the middle, some stools by the window, and some booths. There was a lady sitting at the very center of the long table making a banking phone call ON SPEAKER PHONE! I'm not sure if she was a customer or someone who works for Brinx, regardless of who she was, it wasn't ok. Anyway, it was very annoying, as she kept going on with it, and no one said anything to her. Despite this, I ordered a Coco Mocha Cold Foam Latte. I also ordered the Lox Bagel. These were both excellent choices. The latte was super chocolatey and delicious. They use Giv coffee beans, so the coffee is quality. The Lox bagel was very generously spread with cream cheese, then topped with raw salmon, also topped with a bit of onion and parsley. This would be perfect to share, if someone was with me. The bagel was perfectly toasted, just so it had enough crunch. The salmon and the cream cheese were excellent counterparts. This would easily be a five star experience, if it wasn't for that one inconvenience.

Amazing! French Toast lattes were to die for. One of the best tasting coffees ever! The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and the bread was the star of the show. The raisin bagel and the ciabatta? bread that we ordered for the vegetarian tasted so freshly baked.

Came on a late Friday night. Dylan and Alfredo were bartending. Both were super accommodating, welcoming, professional, and FUN! Ordered drinks at the bar and Alfredo followed us back to our table to pull our chairs out for us, even brought our drinks over. Typically you'd wait at the bar for your drinks and then go find a seat, so I found this to be extremely over the top. I'm sure it's not something to be expected all the time but it was a great first impression. Although kitchen was closed Dylan worked up a nice platter for us in the back to enjoy. Everything was tasty and presentation was very nice. I definitely enjoyed my time and my drinks. I will be happy to choose this bar out of any others on a night out in Torrington.

We live around the area kept saying to ourselves throughout the night "why haven't we been here before? We've been missing out on such good food" There seems to be a lot of seating both inside and outside so that's a plus since we were able to get seated right away without a reservation on a Friday night. (they were already pretty busy) Our waitress was so friendly and super attentive even with all the tables she had. Now on to the food! Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully plated. You could tell that whoever is cooking genuinely cares about the food that is coming out of that kitchen. To start we ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip w/ Garlic Parm Crostini and the Antipasto Salad. (Not pictured) Everything came out in great portions to share and even the crostinis were packed full of flavor which brought the dip up another notch. The salad was fresh, colorful and absolutely delicious. For our entree we both ordered the Steak Frites-cooked medium. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection and the chimichurri was herby, savory and even had a little bite to it-it was phenomenal. To add to the mix the frites had parm & garlic to make them even tastier To finish, after a very long day- we knew that an affogato would just finish this meal off perfectly and we were right. It was delicious and the candied walnuts were such a nice touch to add for texture. (My husband now has a new favorite dessert) Needless to say we will absolutely be back, and more than likely bringing many others in tow to share an absolutely wonderful meal!

Lenox has some really cool spots and Ombra is one of them. Recommended by a local, we stopped here on Valentine's Day after our dinner for a nice glass of wine. The place was crowded but luckily a few people were leaving so we scored some seats at the bar. I ordered a glass of Nebbiolo from Italy which was good. My husband had a beer. The place is so cute and very romantic with dim lights, a great wine selection and their food looked so good. Unfortunately, we were so full that we did not end up ordering anything. Although, the french fries were calling my name. Ombra is a place that I could see us coming to almost every week and not getting tired of it. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail. This is the perfect date night spot for sure whether you start or end your evening here, you will be happy! Cheers~

We arrived as soon as they opened and were some of the first there. The bar tender greeted us and we took our seats. He came over immediately and went through the entire menu with us. I ordered wine from their very large selection and my husband ordered a stout. They were out of his order so the bar tender brought over three similar options and explained them all. My husband picked one of the recommendations and it was a great beer. My wine was delicious. We ordered the Brie , burger, and my husband ordered their lomo. Everything was great truly. We just took our time and really enjoyed the space which was very cozy and relaxing. The best thing is going to a restaurant where wine and beer are their main focus and talking with staff that is enthusiastic about their products. Our waiter was great and we're sad we didn't get his name but he made the experience ten times better with his knowledge of wines and beers. We plan on returning very soon!!
