A cute place with a good selection of cafe eats for breakfast and lunch! We all enjoyed the Curry Chicken Sandwich. There were some surprise grapes that gave the sandwich some appreciated sweetness. Only note is that it did take some time to get our food and drinks but there was a lot of traction during our visit and what looked to be one person manning the register/making drinks and someone else in the back on the food. Some of us tried their Chai Latte-all agreed that it was quite milky and needed some sugar so there's that. I had the melon cucumber drink, it was good-I think would be lovely in summer weather but not as cucumbery as I would have hoped! Overall would recommend! read more

We finally made it to Brinx at Night recently and enjoyed the experience. At night, there's table service instead of having to go to the counter to place your order. You can choose from a selection of wine, mocktails, and beer to drink, as well as some small bites to eat. We shared the meatballs, local cheese platter, and poutine, all of which were excellent. Brinx is a cafe in Torrington. It's right near the children's museum and other local businesses. I was headed to the museum and stumbled upon this spot. They have coffee, sandwiches, and more. I got a latte and it was really good. The person working there was also friendly. There were plenty of seating and it was cozy in there. Brinx Coffee & Cocktails is located across the street from The Warner Theater in Torrington. This is a very small coffee shop that also serves cocktails and some lunch options. The inside was a bit dark. There was a long table in the middle, some stools by the window, and some booths. There was a lady sitting at the very center of the long table making a banking phone call ON SPEAKER PHONE! I'm not sure if she was a customer or someone who works for Brinx, regardless of who she was, it wasn't ok. Anyway, it was very annoying, as she kept going on with it, and no one said anything to her. Despite this, I ordered a Coco Mocha Cold Foam Latte. I also ordered the Lox Bagel. These were both excellent choices. The latte was super chocolatey and delicious. They use Giv coffee beans, so the coffee is quality. The Lox bagel was very generously spread with cream cheese, then topped with raw salmon, also topped with a bit of onion and parsley. This would be perfect to share, if someone was with me. The bagel was perfectly toasted, just so it had enough crunch. The salmon and the cream cheese were excellent counterparts. This would easily be a five star experience, if it wasn't for that one inconvenience. read more

Was looking for a cute coffee/tea shop before an early morning meeting today. I searched and came across this place which was mins from my meeting so I had to stop. Right in Main Street across from the Warner. Great location and plenty of parking. The shop was so quaint comfy and cool! Great music was playing and I just loved the vibe. The staff was very friendly. The menu had a great variety of options to choose from and I chose a matcha latte with coconut cinnamon and lavender. It was light warm and refreshing. I also pick up a slice of their fresh homemade banana chocolate bread. What a nice treat seeing I don't go to coffee shops ever. Highly recommend if you're in the area, even if you're not, go for a drive and check it out. read more

Came here post-Kids Play with my six year old, as it is right next door. I am glad we came here because it was a lovely experience. For drinks she had a lemonade and I had both an iced peach tea and a house made (!!) iced dirty chai which was spectacular. The menu is very small but mighty. Little one had the avocado toast and I had a cranberry grilled cheese which was spectacular. The atmosphere is cute, the staff was friendly, and the location could not be better. I've never been disappointed (though I need to remember to ask them to leave off the onions, and sometimes I don't). This has become one of my favorite go to's in town. Great flavored coffee, flavored with real ingredients and don't taste like artificial flavors. Came on a late Friday night. Dylan and Alfredo were bartending. Both were super accommodating, welcoming, professional, and FUN! Ordered drinks at the bar and Alfredo followed us back to our table to pull our chairs out for us, even brought our drinks over. Typically you'd wait at the bar for your drinks and then go find a seat, so I found this to be extremely over the top. I'm sure it's not something to be expected all the time but it was a great first impression. Although kitchen was closed Dylan worked up a nice platter for us in the back to enjoy. Everything was tasty and presentation was very nice. I definitely enjoyed my time and my drinks. I will be happy to choose this bar out of any others on a night out in Torrington. read more

If you haven't been to this new spot in Torrington you're missing out. Amazing atmosphere, amazing staff, and even more importantly; amazing food and drinks. I didn't really see anything on the beverage list that I wanted so I told the bartender what flavors I liked and he created one just for me. It was pineapple and cinnamon and quite possibly the best drink I've ever had at a bar. We also had the steamed pork buns, taste was phenomenal. It came with three which was a perfect portion size for me. Also decided to try the rumchata cheesecake. Holy cow it was amazing. Most cheesecakes are dense and need a sauce in my opinion but this was great on its own. A+ Brinx, you'll be finding me here every weekend for sure. read more
