We came here on a nice summer afternoon and had 2 of their wine flights. The staff were all so friendly and pleasant. There was lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors they have pinic tables and some regular tables. There was a live musician and the vibes were great! Their wines weren't our favourite overall but we had a great time

We stopped into Hopkins Vineyard on a Sunday afternoon. The people working the bar are super knowledgeable and helpful. We got one wine flight and enjoyed all the wines. Note: as a wine flight, these are heftier pours than a tasting! We also ordered a cheese plate. It was beautiful, and they allowed us to pick the cheese! Definitely stop at Hopkins Vineyard when you're in the area, and take some wine home!

We stopped in here for a wine tasting and charcuterie board! The wine was fantastic, I got the Vineyard Reserve, the Duet, the Cab and the Peach Wine. The peach and Duet were my favorites with the duet being bright and light and the peach having a great sweetness! The Charcuterie board had cheeses of our choice, hot honey, fig jam, and multiple bread/crackers (including Gluten Free crackers)! We also added the sausage and all the food was just amazing and fun to put together!

Everything about this place is perfect :) They have such a cute little store with unique gifts, the staff is so friendly and kind, and the wine was amazing. We got the wine flight and had the staff pair each glass with a chocolate truffle. We also got the bigger cheese board, which came with not only different cheeses, but olive oil, nuts, bread, fig jam, assortment of crackers, etc!! It came with so much, we took the rest home. For some reason, the Maps app on iPhone says this place is closed when it's really not. Make sure to Google it or call them to make sure, because if we listened to Maps, we would've thought it was closed! So happy we double checked and ended up going. We came in August, so we could either sit outside or inside (we chose outside because the weather was perfect, no humidity and it was around 70°). I really can't stress enough how cozy and welcoming this place is. The staff are amazing! I never leave reviews but this place is so beautiful. We went on a week day so it was completely empty basically. It was so peaceful. I hope to come back in the winter when it's even cozier!

A hidden gem right in our backyard-ish area. This place was introduced to us by our dear friends that brought us here right after spending a nice afternoon by the lake with our kayak. We picked up a couple of bottles of wine and sat outside in one of the benches and made our own little picnic. It was absolutely fabulous and they were so kind to allow us to sit outside despite them having to close in a few moments. We also snatched a bottle of their very own amaro and it was delish! They allowed us to sample it before even trying it. There are so many goodies in this winery so be prepared to come, pick up some snacks inside, cheese, crackers, spreads, you name it. All available! If someone from your group isn't big into vino you can even get some amazing Kent Falls Brewing beer on tap or a four pack to go home. Options are endless here. Service is amazing and these GORGEOUS views have all the California vibes. Live music plays on certain days. Just an overall gorgeous place to come hang out and truly relax.

We had nothing to whine about Hopkins Vineyard! We had excellent service and were able to sample all of the wine offerings by purchasing two flights. There is ample indoor/outdoor seating and live music. After our tasting we purchased a bottle of the Vineyard Reserve to enjoy, and have already stopped at a local liquor store for another bottle to keep at home. Definitely worth the beautiful scenic drive up to northwest Connecticut.

I had a great time at Hopkins! To summarize, 5 stars wine, atmosphere and service! We arrived on a Saturday afternoon in June. We started the afternoon with help from a kind woman at the front, who offered us a test of two whites that we were between. Even though the parking lot was crowded, the 4 of us were able to find our own picnic table to enjoy the live music. We were able to take a stroll around the property to enjoy the beautiful view of the Lake. We really loved the Estate bottle of Chardonnay. Also, the vineyard was dog-friendly and I saw plenty of people bringing their own food in.

One of my favorite vineyards in Ct .Beautiful surroundings, very nice staff, loved the live music !!They have very nice souvenirs and when we went there for my husband's birthday we ended up buying 2 glasses with their logo because they don't allow glasses outside. Our favorite is a semi sweet wine called Sachem's Picnic with this beautiful ruby color .We also got to try a white refreshing Westwind .We loved that they have already chilled bottles and we really enjoyed the cheese assortment!Everything was so fresh!!Outstanding variety!!

Some homemade snacks along with two bottles of hopkins wine and cheese platter.

I love Hopkins vineyard. Always friendly service and so many wines to choose from, you'll definitely find one to love. There's a little store inside to get local jams, cheeses, and crackers. Very cute indoor and outdoor space, highly recommend checking it out.

A beautiful vineyard! I love the expansive outdoor space. Riley did our tasting on out most recent visit and he was so friendly and helpful! There are so many options including a collab with the distillery in Litchfield. We've been many times and will continue coming back!

Hopkins is the setting in which movies are made! This idyllic, no doubt historical, building is set in beautiful Litchfield County on land that includes a pond and sits across the street from a lake. My first discovery of Hopkins was last year when I participated in the Connecticut wine trail Hopkins in the oldest vineyard in Connecticut. You are able to bring food in and buy a bottle or glass(es) of wine to enjoy. The store sells numerous yummy treats for purchase as well. Outside, in the summer, they have ping-pong tables and corn hole. Check the calendar, there is often times music. Their wine is great as well!

Such a great spot! Situated in very scenic Litchfield County, the view from "The Hayloft Wine Bar" (on the second floor of the building) is gorgeous and peaceful. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. They have wine flights so you can taste a few before deciding on a whole glass/bottle, and the cheeseboard was also delicious. They have a nice little store on the first floor with wine local products for sale. Highly recommend!

Aquila's gives a 30-minute grace period, which helped since the area gets very dark at night and the roads are narrow. I knew ahead of time there would be a lobster food truck and a live salsa band. When you arrive, you check in with the hostess, though there's no clear hostess stand since she's stationed at the end of the bar. The inside was crowded with no available seats, but we weren't there for the band anyway. Our igloo had a heater, but two would've been ideal. They recommend bringing a blanket, which I forgot, but it wasn't too cold--around the high 40s. We tried the "Sweet Wine Flight," which included Sparkling Rosé, Moscato, and white and red wine slushies. The white wine slushy was my favorite. It started raining while we were there, and everyone with fire pits cleared out, so I was extra glad we chose an igloo. They offered a cheese box, but it looked too small, so we stuck to drinks. Our server was polite and brought everything out quickly. Reservations give you two hours, and we had a great time. I like the variety of reservation options they offer. For suggestions: it would be nice to have a real charcuterie board instead of tiny cheese and veggie boxes. The indoor space could also be larger, especially for people coming for the live band, and there are no seats around the bar. Overall, though, it's a cozy spot, and I enjoyed the experience.

The winery employees who come out need commendations, because it is just a mob of people waiting for free pours. It's a great idea and a good way for wineries on one side of the state to gain an audience on the other, but the design needs work. There needs to be a way to move some of the large groups out of the way so other people can get a pour. I had one pour (not tasting, one pour of wine) when I attended. Maybe in a few years it will be worth a try again. On the plus side, if you're doing the Wine Passport, you do NOT need to buy a ticket to get the stamp.
